Alpha, I think that most religions' origins start off with "Love everyone and be happy". But a few men twist them to gain power over others and religions then "evolve" into something more political. If you pay attention Jesus was teaching this, but his teachings have been twisted. I do not believe that Jesus was any god any more than you or me. He was just gifted as you put it and enlightened. He tried to teach these things to people but again the message was twisted to benifit a few. From my studies Jesus was trying to liberate people from religion, not create a new one. I guess most people just are not ready for this freedom and to seek for themselves.

I do not see how it can be effective either if every nation does not agree to it.

I do not know all the facts, that is why I posted on here. I have not been able to find much on this so I hoped some on here could give more facts, especially those in other nations.

I do not think this would violate the Constitution and the Supreme Court being the highest Court of the land. This International Court is that international, while the Supreme Court is domestic, so would still be the highest Court over the US. But it is not very effective when dealing with international issues, which this new court would be able to deal with. So the Supreme  Court would be the highest court of the land (land being the US, unless the entire world belongs to the US), and the IC would be over international issues and not domestic.

Of coarse I can see good and bad things about this court. I do not know all the facts so I cannot commit to a firm stance one way or another. But it still seems like the US is behaving badly. It is the image that is given off from the actions taken.

Look under Spiritual Development in these forums under the topic "Abduction To The Ninth Planet". This has been discussed there some. Those of us that have read it would love to hear your input on it.

No you have not given anything away yet. I did not mean to imply that you had spoiled anything. Some people were just asking questions which when answered could give some things away that I would prefer to find out by reading the book. If you were going to answer them I just wanted you to make it known so that I could skip that part but still be able to read the posts concerning the ideas of the book/movie. I hope that clears things up. Sorry for the confusion.

No they are not the same book. I have not read the free online book but they might be similar. This book that I mention above is pretty simple and straight to the point. Unfortunately I have slacked off on doing the exercises, mostly because I am so busy at work, so I cannot say how well it works. Most of them seem to be like others I have heard about. Though while I was doing the exercises my eyes felt a lot better than they ever have and at times I would get some clarity without my glasses. It is pretty cool when something very blurry comes into focus for a few seconds.

(Must start doing exercises again!)

Kifyre, this book says that you should use sun glasses whenever you are out in the sun for protection from UV light. I am not sure how important this is but they seem to think UV is harmful to the eyes. They suggest using a strong lamp and sitting it in front of your face with your eyes closed for a few minutes each day as oppose to using the sun. Just thought I would let you know what the book suggests.

I also have a few books to read first but hopefully will get around to this one in a few months. I do ask that if you start giving info about the book to answer the questions ask here to please let us know at the top of the post that there are Spoilers in it. I do not want to know any details about it before I read. Thanks. ;)

Thank you, Mr. Bruce, for all the info. I cannot wait to read 'Treatise on Kundalini'.

My biggest fear has been fearing the unknown. When I first started projecting this was a big issue for me. The first few times I got out I would get so afraid because I did not know what to expect I jumped back into my body. This is really not bad now. Sometimes, if I have gone a long time without projecting, I will start feeling a little afraid when I first start trying to project. But I quickly put this aside, especially once I start to feel the vibrations and start to separate. You never really know what you are going to experience when you get out. Sometimes it can be totally different than anything you can imagine. I have learned to accept this, or still trying to at times.

I heard something interesting on the radio yesterday about the pledge. The pledge was actually written by a Baptist minister a little over 100 years ago. He never included the anything about a god in it originally. In fact it was changed before the god issue ever came up. Orginally it started out "I pledge allegiance to MY flag of the REPUBLIC". It was later changed to "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America". This really upset the guy that wrote it because his intent was for it to be used not just in the US but for all Republics. So those that came to the US but still felt bound to their nation could still say the pledge since it was not indicated which flag one was pledging to other than "my flag" which is basicly whichever you hold dear. It was not until after his death that "under God" was added, so he could not comment on this. But his daughter did say that she felt he would not approve of it. So it seems that the original author did not intend to mix church and state even though he did believe in God. He knew that you can keep them separate even though you feel strongly about them both.

PeacefulWarrior, are you saying that just because this man is an atheist he is not good or righteous? How can you be certain that the founding fathers of the US were good and righteous? Of coarse history will make them to be such because who wants a nation founded by evil selfish men (not saying they were). I am just saying that you cannot really judge historical figures because their true personalities are not shown but rather the "hereo" that the public has made of them. Granted it would seem that they did have a belief in God, but again they made it clear that they wanted church and state to be separate. The author of the pledge understood this and believed in this. This atheist may be the best man you could ever meet. Just because he does not believe in a god does not mean he does not believe in morals. Likewise just because one believes in a god does not make them moral.
I believe that his daughter has the right to believe what she wants and not feel pressured by the government to believe what is accepted. Would you still fee the same if it said "under the Gods and Goddesses"?

I can understand the person's reasons for the lawsuit and personally I agree with them. The words "under God" never should have been added to the pledge and I do not understand for the life of me why they were allowed to be added. There is separation of religion and state for a good reason. Those that believe in a religion should not get so upset over such things. It is not like they are attacking your religion, they are just saying that it is not Constitutional to join church and state. For some reason people think the USA is a Christian nation. This is so foolish. If the founding fathers wanted this to be a Christian nation then they would not have added that religion and state should not be mixed. They understood the problems that can arise when they are mixed so they wanted to keep it separate. By having a national religion it is putting down those that have other beliefs. It is like saying that their beliefs do not belong in this nation and that they are wrong. But the US is about free thinking, and this includes believing as well.

As far as finding God on money and other places, I think this is different. It is not making you pledge an allinment with a deity. It is just there. How many times do you actually look at it. It is more out of tradition. I do not think we should bother taking it off. Anyway, it does not actually promote a religion but the idea of a higher being. In a way I think it humbles us a little by reminding us that there is always something bigger, no matter how powerful we may think our nation is. This can be a god or nature or another nation, whatever, but just remember there is always a bigger dog somewhere that can take you out.

Reguardless of any beliefs I have I do feel strongly that religion and state should be separate. I also hope this ruling stands up because it is actually correct according to the US Constitution.

First off what can you listen to these files with? I try to open it but nothing will play it.

Second, what is the Anti-Christ? Anti meaning agaist or opposite so is this "person" against Christ? Christ taught love and peace so would this entity teach hate and chaos? Or is Anti-Christ merely the ideas of hate and chaos and not an actual person? What if I do not believe there is a Christ, what would Anti-Christ mean to me?

I have not read the good. I have seen the movie. Are they suppose to be similar or are they different? I did not even know there was a book.

I think they showed suicides pretty well considering they were making a film. Though I am sure they could have done better. What would you suggest they have done?

What Frank has stated is true, there is no time when out of body. I can think of a good example to express this to those that have not had an OBE. Have you ever had a dream where maybe you just took a 5 minute nap but had a dream that seemed to last for hours? Or maybe had a dream that seemed to last for several days or longer but this took place during the hours at night while you were asleep? What about a dream inwhich only a few things happen but seems to just go on for a long time, much longer that it would take on the physical?

A few months ago I had such a dream. It seemed like I experienced this dream over several years. It was like I was living out this entire life, or rather a portion of a few years of it.

So on the astral there is no time, just the idea of it that you take with you.

Everything you have experienced sounds rather typical. I may not experience all of it but I have seen such listed in places for astral projection. Breathing can sometimes be distracting for me too. This can be rather annoying. Seems when it happens it does it when things seem about right to leave the body. Then I get the strong urge to breath and this seems to stop things. Only thing I know to say about this is to try to stop thinking about breathing, though I know this is difficult. I do not always have this problem, just sometimes, so I am not sure why it happens.

It seems that projecting is very easy when you are not trying to. I have similar experiences like you said. I usually get feelings like I can easily leave my body when I am busy working or sometimes watching tv, though I do not watch much tv.

Atleast you have seen the truth and changed the negative to positive experiences. Some people have a hard time doing this. It is easy to get caught up on something and get carried away, especially when one is new to being out of body. But all has worked out for you. Good Luck in your future travels.

Such a practice has been in many cultures throughout time. I actually watched a show on this many years ago. I know ancient Rome use to have this rooms. Native Americans would use bowls of water to talk with dead family members. There were many others but I do not recall them now.

I wish you luck! Let us know if you have any success.

This is a tough situation. You are brothers and need time together, without the wife. I do suggest talking to your brother about how you feel. Why does his wife not like you? Whatever it is I suggest not avoiding her totally but instead whenever you are around her be as nice as you possibly can. Then she will truly have no reason to hate you and any argument she gives, whether to someone else or herself, will have no foundation and make her look prejudist. Maybe some day she will come around. Also if your niece or nephew sees you as being nice to his/her family they will most likely like you. Actions do speak louder than words. There will come a time when the child will ask why he/she is not suppose to like you. If they have some intelligence they will see through any lies.
So though it may take time try to be positive and things will work out as long as you treat the family with respect and love.

What about the big muscle guys, like Arnald S. (not even going to try to spell his last name). They are not obese but still rather large and do not fit comfortably into those little seats. The airline should be more understanding of the different sizes people come in, but then again you do not have to fly. It is a business and they do it how they want. Unfortunately they all pretty much have the same size seats in them so there is little choice about such things. If you need more room then I guess you have to pay for it. But I must say I have seen rather large people who will not face reality and think they are thin and would put up a big fit about having to buy another seat. I feel sorry to the people who are going to have to put up with the angery customers.

#1695
I know what you mean. Seems like most people, especial those in school/college, just think about partying. I was never a heavy partier. I like to go out with friends and be social sometimes, but I just can not place all my thoughts on getting drunk and partying. Seems like such a waste to do it all the time. I just do not understand why people do not wish to learn more as there is so much more than just partying. I am glad that you can stand up and not be ashamed for being different. Maybe you will open some people's eyes, maybe not now but when they are older and ready to seek.

#1696
Good points, Ashfo. The whole gene thing should not be used as an excuse reguardless if it is real or not. The gene cannot make people obese, more inclined to be but not uncontrolable. Currently 60% (YES 60%!) of Americans are obese. Several decades ago this number was much, much lower. Why? Because of how we all choose to live. If it is a gene then it would mean that all the fat people have been reproducing a lot more than the thinner people. That does not make much sense to me, not that obese people would not reproduce but that it would be that big of a difference.

I think the problem will be in deciding needs a second seat and who does not. I would not want to be the person to say, "Excuse me sir but your butt is way too big, you are going to have to purchase another seat."

On the radio someone wrote in a said that since her two young children can both fit in one seat can she just purchase one seat for both of them?

Is it right or not, I do not know. But I do not think it is going to solve a lot of the problem. And it does seem to be somewhat money motivated, which I guess if you are a business that is what you are looking for.

#1697
I suggest that you not worry about such things unless you experience them. When out of body you shape your world. If you have fears or negativity then they will manifest. The best thing to do is to send positive energy at them, ignore them, and try to remain in control of your emotions. Start paying attention to what you feel during the day and how you deal with it. Try sending positive thoughts to counter act the negative as these things are internal on this plane but will seem much more real on the astral. In a sense these things are real, just in a different form on a different plane. They may appear as demons if you believe in such, but you should realize that they are not demons as in other entities that are more powerful than you. You can deal with them if you remain in control and understand that they are created from your negativity. The astral is works differently than the physical, though it may appear the same at times you need to understand that thoughts are much more powerful there. Once you understand how the astral works things will make more sense.

As for physical harm I do not know about that. I have never experienced such an event. Most people have not either. I do not wish to disrespect Bruce or call him a liar. I am just saying that I have not experienced this or heard a lot about it. I have not experienced what Bruce has so I cannot comment on his experiences. I can say that based on what most people have said to have experienced that your chances of experiencing physical harm are slim to none. So you should not worry about this. If for some reason you do experience this then maybe you should look into the book, otherwise just be positive and don't worry about it.

I think you have done the right thing. I have not been in any such situations so I cannot talk from experience but I think it is all about control. So far you are winning. He probably is trying to get control by either making you move or by making you fight. I do not know him or you, but clearly he is more violent and possibly more physically dominat so he feels he can win in a physical fight. I think you should continue standing your ground and not let him get to you. Defense classes might be a good idea, but do not attack him, just defend yourself. I think Bitsmart's post pretty much says it all.

#1699
I agree they should fix the problem, not just try to make more money. They need bigger seats. Something I find interesting, and it could just be the wording, but it does say they will have to pay for another seat, but it does not say they will be getting another seat. So will they be paying for another seat but still just be using one? Is this just something so the airline can make more money? It is all about the money. That is all it is about these days. Screw the customers and take their money.

I have not tried this or read the book but I have heard this has been practiced for a long time. Some show I was watching said it dated back to ancient Rome, but I suspect it might go back much further. I think that with such a history it would have some merit.
