There are some good Baptists around who haven't checked their brains in at the front door!

As a summary, here are the ten attributes that best describe this new kind of child, the Indigo Child
* They come into the world with a feeling of royalty (and often act like it)
* They have a feeling of "deserving to be here," and are surprised when others don't share that.
* Self-worth is not a big issue. They often tell the parents "who they are."
* They have difficulty with absolute authority (authority without explanation or choice).
* They simply will not do certain things; for example, waiting in line is difficult for them.
* They get frustrated with systems that are ritually oriented and don't require creative thought.
* They often see better ways of doing things, both at home and in school, which makes them seem like "system busters" (nonconforming to any system).
* They seem antisocial unless they are with their own kind. If there are no others of like consciousness around them, they often turn inward, feeling like no other human understands them. School is often extremely difficult for them socially.
* They will not respond to "guilt" discipline ("Wait till your father gets home and finds out what you did").
* They are not shy in letting you know what they need.

I've read the majority of Casteneda and have gotten a good bit out of it. The first few are really fun to read. But I was always sceptical of whether Don Juan really existed and doubted the idea that he transformed into pure energy. Fun books though.
It would be great to have those links...

The sad irony is now we have the Christian religion founded by the Romans in around 300ad, with its patriarchal / male dominant views promoting women being subordinate and subservient to men whilst trying to convince people that this is "God's will" and sticking the teachings of Jesus in the middle of it as justification.

Lucky you! Several people have outrightly told me that what I believe in is a load of rubbish. I wish they'd keep it to themselves, really. I think it's quite rude to tell someone that what they believe in is a load of crap.
I just wish some people would tone down their attitudes a bit. It can be tiresome.

I also totally agree Mydral.
But there's one thing worth thinking about....
The laws of a country are mostly based on religious laws to begin with.
This is why we often see big discrepancies between the laws of western countries and those of middle-eastern countries.

There's a possibility that a teacher or class could help speed up the process, but you also do it on your own. What I've found is that once you get the information, you have to put it into practice. There is more than enough free information on the internet alone to enable a person to be able to project on their own.
I remember when I would read and read and read, but not get anywhere, so I was constantly on the search for "the book" that would have the secret information I needed to project. After a while I realised I had more than enough info to go on, I just wasn't putting in the dilligence, time, and practice it takes.

Why is it that if a person wants to learn about Spirituality/Meditation/Yoga..... that they have to be willing to spend hundreds of dollars to find out?
I find these organizations in my local area and they all have outrageous fee's attached to them. I mean really, is that what it is all about? It just seems so far from the essence of what it is supposed to be about. It borders on exploitation IMHO. It is hard for me to see it as anything more than profiting on the hope and dreams of people.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

Out of curiosity: I am atheist, but must I have faith in something beyond myself in order to do any metaphysical workings?
Any help would be appreciated.

I am trying to work it out so my wife can post a location chart fixing my position and posts on a Google earth chart. What do you think. By all means try something. Would love to have a visit. I am pretty scared but nevertheless the glove is cast no way out now. Ha

In your conversations, what did you learn most from these spiritual experiences? Did this lead you to research out of body experiences?
