Tom - my eyes kina do the same thing. Whenever I do any sort of energy work (at all) with my eyes closed, I realize that I'm rolling them upward into my head. Am I just trying too hard like Terrance?

Well, whenever I hurt myself (like last night when I nearly gave myself a concussion with a bag of unpopped popcorn - don't ask[]) I just put my hands on my head, fiddled around with my energy for a minute, and I walked away without a splitting headache. [|)] Useful...

I just read the article ten minutes ago, was fascinated by it, printed it, then went about my business. I got up to get a snack, thinking about this and trying it out a little (no results). I sat back at the computer and browsed for about five minutes. I was playing a song while I browsed, and all of a sudden I think out of the blue, "Was that the phone?" (We have a phone by our computer, but the ringer is broken so I hear it from the kitchen.) Anyway, I pause the song and listen for a minute. No ringing. I unpause the song and continue fooling around on the computer. After about ten seconds, I think, "OK, I'm sure that was the phone." I turn off the song and pick up the phone, only to hear the dial tone. I shrug, and go back to what I was doing. I kept feeling like I should get the phone even though it wasn't ringing.

Fifteen seconds later the phone rang. [:O]

What do you think? Beginnings of listening to subconscious, or coincidence? Just curious...I thought it was cool. []

Does having glasses affect your auric sight? Because I have these really thick glasses that I don't even really think about. But if I take them off, EVERYTHING looks like it has an aura because it's so blurry! []

What would you guys recommend as some basic starting techniques? Preferably ones I can do during the daytime; any practice at night I'm assuming I would have to turn a light on which is not possible because my parents will come in and yell at me. [|)] The joys of being 13...

There is absolutely no way to prove anything for sure on the Internet. I'm surprised that more people on this forum haven't realized this yet. No matter what stories, videos, or pictures you post, there is (and always will be) the element of skepticism, always a way it could have be fake. Sure, you sometimes have to wade through a lot of junk to get to the good stuff, but I still believe it's worth it. If you don't agree with what someone posts and they won't listen to you no matter what, who cares? Let them live in their own deluded little fantasy. This applies both ways, I think. Sloppyjoe, from what I've read you have a very definite impression of what is energy development and what is not. That's fine, but just chill out a little! [|)] It's just like Fenris said (great post!). Ssjoku, I'm not even going to say anything. At this point, I am really beyond caring what you think about me, energy development, or anything else. Squeek: I happen to be thirteen, thank you very much. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I think I express myself pretty well and have a decent amount of prowess with a keyboard. Ssjoku is not a standard by which to judge all of his age group by.

If I am passively thinking of a song or really dwelling on it subconsciously, it plays it without fail.

If, however, I try to command it to play a song (this is all on random) it will deliberately play that song last. I've been using my CD player, like, 24/7 lately and this rule applies almost every time. Creepy...[|)]

I'm not sure you want to just go about randomly yanking astral strings...could be that cord that attaches you to your physical body that I always hear about.

Nah, we're not in danger of being eaten. The green sprinkles (grass) taste really nasty. Trust me from first hand experience. And who wants to eat a donut that's three-fourths covered with water?!

Bikini wax?! Yeah right. I just buy a tankini. It's a bathing suit, but it's like a spaghetti strap tank top with these little shorts.  (hence no need for any type of wax applied to my sensitives. Ew. [xx(]) It's as flexible as a bikini, but with the modesty of a one piece (I just stopped wearing a one-piece last year and am still not comfortable with exposing that much skin).

Another thing about stupid topics is that everyone's more friendly, even those who don't really liek each other.

I've heard that to use Jing, you condense Ki into your bones and then use it like Ki. I have no idea if it's true or not, it's just what I've heard.

Aw man. I just fooled around with my Discman and I realized that it only works if I'm unconsciously thinking of the song or if it applies to what I'm doing at the time. [|)] No control whatsoever. Still, better than nothing. [] It just does whatever it wants if I stare at it and think You will play number 16. You will play number 16. I swear it defies me by purposely playing any song as far as possible from what I want it to. I eventually get frustrated, switch it out of random, put it on the song I want, and scream "TAKE THAT STUPID CD PLAYER!!!" <deep healing breath>

Don't worry, I'm not on drugs or anything, for those of you who are wondering why this is more like a Squeek post (no offense) and less like a panabelle post. I realized today that I think I have mild Multiple Personality Disorder. Certainly explains a lot.[]

BACK ON TOPIC NOW - It's weird, but sometimes I get the feeling that my Discman/boombox is alive and picking out songs for me. Sounds stupid but it's true. Like the other day I really needed to hear a certain type of song (but was too lazy to actually press the button) and it played all those songs I wanted for me. Freaky.

Yeah, you could do that Keno that when they play out the numbers it's on a TV where the ball gets thrown onto the number. Just a thought...gimme some of the money if you win 37 times straight with it...[]

I know what you mean. I could swear that I have psychic control over my boombox and Discman. I'll put it on random because the same old order gets boring and I'll think as one song is ending "Mr. Blue Sky is gonna be on next." Next thing I hear: (radio static) "Today's forecast calls for blue skies..." When I'm actually THINKING about it, it doesn't work as well though.

I've noticed the same, sad thing. I personally never use any swear words. It's much more fun to use "substitutes" - words that in books, TV shows, etc. are profanities. (D'arvit, blood and bloody ashes, son of a Namek (guess where I got that one...[])

It's not just words. It's the overall feelings behind them. No one seems to care about anyone else anymore. Well, I guess they do, but a lot less than before. No one cares about strangers. It's gone from "oh hello there good sir" to "I'm never gonna see you again so I can treat you like trash."

I'm hoping that when I "grow up" (physically, I've been told I'm already quite developed mentally[]) I'll help to change that.

Don't mean to burst your bubble, but the guys who have been making crop circles confessed to it years ago. Maybe spelling out a word would be more effective?

Is there a single person in this forum who wouldn't want to fly (unless they have a fear of heights, of course)? Whenever I relax my eyes a lot, they also go out of focus and then cross. It's just something they do that you'll have to live with. At least you seem to have it easier than me; I can make mine do it in approximately half a second. []
