I agree with Shenron, but you should not fear the astral plane, fear itself will cause you to encounter these negative entities.  Just realize that the true you is enternal, nothing can truly harm you.

The Ring I think is my favorite horror movie, I like the Halloween series also, and Freddy is hilarious, not really scary though.

This reminds me.  When I was 12 or 13, I was walking down the street, and these Catholic guys (mid 30s) two of them pulled up and started preaching to me.  After much nagging he got me to recite the thing where you are saved by Jesus.  Sorry for sounding ignorant, nothing against christians but I do not follow an organized religion so i don't know the proper terms.

That seemed pretty normal I suppose, but then, they were trying to talk me into getting into their van!  They asked me if I wanted to hop in the van and go visit the church.  After a few more tries to get me in the van I was starting to get weirded out and walked away fast.  That was 10 years ago, but it kinda freaked me out.

Possibly, or it could just be subconcious fears or anxieties.  

But, the car thing reminds me, everytime I try to take a nap, I have the same dream, that I'm driving a car and I can't control it because I'm falling asleep in the dream, I don't have enough energy to control it.  I think this might be my mind creating a situation that reminds me of how I feel, like I'm falling.. or slipping.. or such.

I have somewhat often have dreams that I kill someone, or multiple people, I hope that is not preparing me for future events [:O].  I think it might just be some hidden anxieties coming to surface in my case.. hopefuly it's the same for you.

I agree with LSD and shrooms, but I was a pothead for a long time and .. what a waste of life.  I thought 'slower' most of the time I was plain dumb.. I can count the number of times I felt smarter and philisophical on one hand, and I've smoked well over 1000 times.  But, that is just me.

But, I'm sure you've read my opinions on shrooms/LSD, good stuff, I'm going to grow some morning glory flowers now and try those seeds out with the method from www.erowid.org  but I'm not sure if I can find the petroleum ether need to extract the harmful elements .

Yes, you should try, shrooms are a little happier than acid, eat about 2 caps 4 or 5 stems if you get some.  I would just find someone who does drugs and ask them, find your local pothead.
Look up some sites on how to grow shrooms, it's easy/cheap, and you can order the spores.

I am also not sure on where to get the petroleum ether mentioned on erowid, anyone familiar with this process?

I think I'll grow some morning glories in my room, seems innocent enough, how many seeds are you supposed to eat?

edit:  ok, well I did some research at www.erowin.com (or whatever the link was above).  Has anyone tried his method with the alcohol, and if so, how was it?

I'm pretty sure it was in Astral Dynamics I read this, it's called doing Reality Checks.  The two examples he gives to use are when you are going to the bathroom, and when you're drinking.  Everytime you go pee, or drink something, don't just say 'Am I dreaming?' really think it, and really look around to check.

The reason behind it is when you're sleeping you at some point will have to go to the bathroom and most likely will be thirsty so your mind may incorporate this into the dream.  I myself have not really stuck to the reality checks enough to know how well it works, but a friend of mine had success with doing those 2 reality checks.

Well, this is kind of embarrasing but it was cool when it happened.  When I was 15 (I'm 22 now) I had a (wet)dream in which I had sex with Madonna.

As to what type of dream it was I'm not sure.  I had a 3rd person view dream the other night where I was driving a van, but it wasn't lucid or anything.

Can you buy morning glory seeds at a Wal-Mart or something?  Or are they not that easy to come by?

There were stars in the sky, but I don't remember seeing the moon.  I think at first I was leaning on a wooden fence (about waist high) looking up at the stars and tree tops.. after that it got sort of fuzzy, just dark blue sky and treetops/stars.

Doesn't sound like you did anything wrong to me.

Hi Caroline, I was thinking about buying that book myself, how was it?  I noticed it has Alex Grey artwork on it, if you want to read more on the topic, pick up Alex Grey's Sacred Mirror's or Transfigurations.  But anyway, tell me about the DMT book, I was thinking of buying it.

Once I live on my own again (back with parents) I will grow my own, but will not eat them too often,  not something you can really do everyday.

And J8, if you do get some, go with about a third of an 1/8th for your first experience, and make sure it's a happy environment.  You could eat half an 1/8th, but you might freak out .

....so crucify the ego.. before it's far too late, and leave behind this place so.. negative and blind and cynical...

How would you capture an 'image' of the astral on a physical camera anyway.  As far as I understand it you see the astral with your mind, not with your eyes.

Thanks Mushie, I plan on keeping her .  Cap is the most trip corvette.  But, there are differnt types of shrooms, so it's hard for me to say how much to eat w/out knowing what they look like.
