DOES ANYONE AGREE WITH ME HERE?????????????

I havn't read anything on this thread but keeping with the name of it, I will have to disagree with you(whatever that is).

One thing I will say: Americans defend their country more vehmently than Canadians.

Here's the full survey, which explains the methods used and the exact number of people tested.

as far as the canadian children, are they randomly tested? tested from school maybe? or from home?

the children would still fit into this statement: "if the canadian population had a percentage of internet users equal to that of the united states, the results of that quiz just might be more accurate."

The internet had nothing to do with the test. Read the article.

As timeless said, im definatly not anti-american. I'll let my pro-iraq war stance be a testament of that.

As for the test, there are somethings which should be cleared up:

1) 3000 people from various counties took part. Im not a statician but gallop polls work the same way I believe, according to the law of stats.

2) Country population has nothing to do with the survey. It would be impossible to calculate everyone's response so they take a few and using statistics, vary the value accordingly.

3) The internet had nothing to do with it, only the sample questions(there were more than 20 questions I believe) were on the website. The test was taken in person.

4) Ringo may of been the least talented Beatle, but he more than made up for it in charm.

5) I never implied the survey showed lack of intelligence, rather lack of knowledge concerning the rest of the world.

It took the children 40 minutes to locate Canada on the map!
Marge, anyone could miss Canada, all tucked away down there.

Anyway, I found this post to be very funny and the fact that there is such a focus on America is really just a form of flettery in the end. When was the last time a US comedian went to Canada and did something similar? Oh yeah, never because no one here cares (and maybe that proves we are stupid and ignorant!

Chances are Canadians would do much better.

Heres the test, I easily got through them all.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / question about hell
April 29, 2003, 17:56:41
people say similar things like that god can see the future and knows whether or not you're going to heaven. if that was the case, why would he even create mankind? or whay did he create men that would go to hell?

To understand those issues, I suggest a book on early christian thought and leaders. I recommend:

A CLOUD OF WITNESSES: AN INTRODUCTORY HISTORY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE (CS 109; Cistercian Publications, Kalamazoo, 1989).

It's short and was written by one of my professors who sort of reminds me of an old Indiana Jones.

There was a post where I and others tried to explain but whats crystal clear for me can be thick and muddy for others. Though the doctrine of predestination gave me a headache at one point too.

The secret to Christianity is to listen to Jesus, not his groupies.
With faith, everything else will fall into place.

Adrian,

Could you give me your sources on reincarnation being an early Christian belief?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / May 15th Pole shift.
April 29, 2003, 12:33:37
http://www.zetatalk.com/info/tinfo242.htm

It lists places and the effects they will see. I have a good chance, though I am on the coast and can see the ocean. Im on the highest point in the city so hopefully there won't be a mad rush to steal my house on that fateful day[:D]:

Newfoundland residents today face the cold Atlantic with many inlets along the rocky shore, with ocean fishing and travel by boat being a familiar activity. Being hardy folk, used to relying on themselves and each other without assistance from the outside world, they have the mindset that survivors of the shift will need. Newfoundland will find itself, thus, well positioned to take advantage of the situation they find themselves in, after the shift, in that boat travel will be the best means of transportation as the existing poles melt and settlements at lower elevation disappear under water, and ocean fishing will prove to be one source of food available during the couple decades of gloom affecting agriculture after the shift. Those survivors wishing to assist others, less fortunate, should consider going afloat along the coastline to what was formerly inland, to team their skills to other survivors.

Thanks for the link, looks like a place I would like to visit someday. Ireland or Massachusetts...

I think the story about the cave is fake based on the tone of the final entry and the narrative fluidity the journal takes on(he explains this but it seems to perfect). Besides, i've been thinking about creating a similar type of story to put on the internet once I get my digital camera.

Im not saying it's fake, just that it's not cohesive enough for my eye.

On a side note, have any more crazy place links? [;)]

Im delaying my Graduation by a two years because of the crappy economy(Computer Science). The economy is pretty bad in general right now.

Mine never showed up at all and after an x-ray, the dentist told me they were impacted so I had to go to the hospital to get them out.

I remember after I got home I thought, "this isn't so bad". So I went running in the forest for a while and blacked out near a river for a couple of minutes. I managed to get home and take my happy pills(pain killers) and the rest of the week was a blur. I remember I swallowed alot of blood which would make me sick for most of the recovery period and I do remember that I ate only pudding and for the most part kept a package of frozen vegetables slapped against my face.

Other than that, I would do it again.

I never made the picture, it's been going around for a week or two.

How does your brother feel about the Canadian arm forces? I have written my MP saying we should be spending our money on our arm forces. Of course being as I am, you can imagine it is because I want them to be able to do their job as peacekeepers.

He feels they have excellent soldiers, just really bad equipment. At the moment he's in ottawa(born in newfoundland) and all his friends said they wanted to be in Iraq already but thanks to chretian it was not so. There is a canadian military presence over there though which is kinda strange.

Give me Canadian soldiers with American equipment & I'll win the war

Erwin Rommel(which probably explains why he lost the war[;)])
#199
I also hope that our 3,000 Canadian troops going in there this summer get all the support and equipment they need.

It looks like my brother will be going. He wanted to go when the americans went though so he's happy about it.

What you said is interesting MJ-12,

Isaiah 17:1 The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.
2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
3 The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts.

A popular prophecy in the bible is that Damascus will be destroyed completely so who knows whats in store for the middle east.
