Questions and Answers

Out-of-Body Experiences may be a two edged sword, but this in no way should be construed as justification for discounting them.  Consider, for example, the possibilities generated by Robert Monroe's answers to several questions related to OBEs (as discussed in his book, Far Journeys.)

     1.  Can anyone go out of body?  25% have already reported an OBE, and Robert Monroe claims that with the appropriate psychological and/or philosophic preparation, anyone can consciously move into an out-of-body state.

     2.  Can you get back into the wrong physical body?  Robert Monroe claims he has in fact entered the wrong body before.  He now suggests using a part of your physical body—such as your big toe—as a homing device by attempting to wiggle it before reentering.

     3.  Can someone get into your body?  Robert Monroe believes there is no more possibility of this taking place than there would be during normal sleep.  Furthermore, he notes that in 15 years of research there have been no incidents which could be remotely thought of as possession or anything destructive or uncontrollable.  However, there is other evidence which suggests the occurrence may be surprisingly common (see Chapter X), but definitely not a good idea!!  (Mr. Monroe is also contradicting himself between questions 2 and 3.)

     4.  Can you meet animals in the OBE state?  Again Monroe has reported encountering domestic cats, including three cats which were favorites of his and which had died during the past three years.

     5.  Can you go anywhere?  Apparently yes, as long as you have a specific address or identification.

     6.  Can you go to a particular person?  This is supposedly easier than a place, particularly if you are close to that person emotionally.

     7.  Can you go forward and backward in time?  According to Monroe, the answer is yes, because of the lack of time-space constraints while in the out-of-body state.  However, Monroe warns that it is necessary to have a strong identification of your return location, which of course, must include a specific time.  Monroe suggests you avoid "long" excursions until you have practiced near-time runs.  Still others might suggest you first have your head examined.

     8.  What is the relation of OBEs to reincarnation and karma?  OBEs can be thought of as an extension of NDEs.  As such there is nothing in OBEs to dispute reincarnation and/or karma.  On the other hand, evidence for OBEs can be considered as contributing to the validity of NDEs and thus indirectly supports the theory of reincarnation.  There is apparently no OBE evidence to support karma.

     9.  Can one ascend?  Excuse me.  I'll ask the question again.  If one does not relish the possibility of sufferings the pangs of death, could an out-of-body excursion, followed by a severing of the "silver cord", allow the human soul to ascend to heaven directly and unimpeded by the unpleasant death of the physical body?  Oh, that question!  As for the answer...  Why not?

One other intriguing thought:  Robert Monroe, in his book, Journeys Out of the Body, tells of one of his own experiences where he found himself out-of-body in a gray, non-descript place.  While there he was accosted by an angry, sarcastic dead man, who demanded to know if Monroe was now ready to learn the secrets of the universe.  It seemed as if the man was angry because no one had taken the trouble to tell him, when he was still incarnated.

Maybe it's time to learn to solo.

This TV picture real vision was great man! I am an astronomer and this is not Hyperion, which is a small very bright pitted almost potato shaped moon of Saturn.

What you saw was a blue water world planet light years from earth, very exciting.

For example in one of my astral travels, I found myself walking on a barren monochrome moon, very similar to ours. I then started to climb what I thought at first was a mountain. At the top, I realized I had ascended the lip of a huge crater.

Looking down instead of the expected bleak desolation saw a beautiful park with flowers of every shade, fountains, steams, green grass and trees of green and blue majesty. No people or buildings, it was maybe just that a place to come and rest by some unknown beings

There was do dome holding in the atmosphere and I later surmised that some sort of a force field unknown to us was doing this

The sun shinning on this moon was not our golden sun, but a sun equally beautiful shining on this scene in lovely shaded of indigo

To give another take on how unimportant we really are. If you took all the humans that were ever born and squeezed out all the empty space in them you could condense the whole lot into the volume of a small sugar cube. This state exist as a reality in a neutron star where a spoonful of matter would outweigh mount Everest.

Of course this in not the end of the story, humanity can be compacted even further compressed into a mini black hole and vanish from the universe

I have more on this subject, however, God is light and in him is no darkness whatsoever. show me a human that is made in this image?

I am not finished with this topic and we are not as "unimportant" as I previously wrongly indicated , can you think why???

Surely it wouldn't make any difference in the RTZ if one is relaxed or not when viewing distortions. One can be calm as anything or anxious but it has no bearing what the person see's in the RTZ and how accurate what they are seeing really is

I see this as somewhat of an ambiguous statement. But I simply cant except that tiny minute infinitesimal organism like us can worry an Infinite Being to the degree that it would punish infinitely for a finite transgression against ourselves

I am a amateur astronomer and when you consider us in relation to the grand order of things, we are very minute indeed. Reducing a colossal star to the size of a pumpkin and putting our supposedly huge sun next to it to compare, it would not smaller than one pixel.

Now our earth is a million times smaller than the sun and we would need an electron microscope to see it on this scale.

Now look a little further down the scale, on this microscope scale or world  that, cannot even be  seen through a electron microscope , is a biological organism calling itself "humanity" that on this scale would make a quantum particle would exceed the real size of our sun or maybe even a red giant star (a star is just a sun like ours)

Now this "entity" a thing it calls itself "humanity" thinks  it is very important, very important indeed
made in the image of the Infinite and, therefore, thinks this inconceivable Infinite Being must punish it for its tiny weenie transgression in an "INFINITE HORRIBLE WAY FOREVER "

Man!!!!!!! are we that important in the grand order of things by this comparison of "solar systems", and on the much grander order of the "billions of times grand order of galaxies" and the "greater grand order of the whole universe and the INFINITE GRAND ORDER EXISTENCE. Come on be real.

Of course if one insists God will give in and can punish infinitely, sort  it would be meaningless to him, sort of us keeping alive a roach burning forever just for fun

Our little world out in a remote corner within a galaxy of 400 billion stars which is a universe containing at least 400 billion other galaxies that important and are we that special?

We must get our true importance in its real true perspective, mankind has a long way to go!!

A lot of the time I feel tired, as if I've been working hard every night during sleep and many times when I wake up there is a lasting image/memory of being in group discussions, and it feels as if these are planning or mediation type groups. Yep, that sounds weird right about now.

I also seriously do feel energy draining out of me when around more negative, hurt or absorbed people, so I top up with Light into the Crown Chakra and cruise along. Over these years I learned to be pro-active in such situations by giving the energy they needed to help them feel better and try to talk about positives they aren't seeing. Although some times, more so now days, the heavy drain resumes. Then it's okay to walk away

.

I can really realate to that, these "negs" both physical and astral should be avoided where possible. I call them "Energy Vampires"

This is the first stage of a out of body event, you might feel vibrations noises like bees buzzing or pressure on your body don't get frightened or struggle just try for instance to roll out of your body or imagine yo are floating up to the ceiling. It is not a nightmare.

Wow,

I seem to have trouble visualizing.  When I close my eyes, and try to imagine something, I see nothing but eternal darkness.  I would concentrate very hard on trying to make something as simple as a guitar appear in my mind (for i am an avid musician, and have been playing guitar my whole life) and I see nothing.  Some suggestions would be appreciated

Why are you "trying to visualize?". Just relax look at your eyelids before you go to sleep each night, give it say 15 minutes no picture ? go to sleep .

Do the same the next night and so on and one night visions of mysterious nature and hopefully great beauty will flood you mind TV screen , which are your eyelids. A sort of reverse transmission from your mind onto your eyelids, instead of your eyes being the normal receiver of images into your brain

I concur with stooky but there is a biological reason as well, sleep is like mental digestion, where you process and hopefull eliminate the previous days negative energy. People who don't do this become insomniacs and make the whole thing worse by taking sleeping pills preventing the brain from healing itself while sleeping in this unnatural way. Depression then follows and the spiral of addiction can get out of control. Countless people are trapped by these pills and artificial sleep and the brain gets more and more unhealthy the longer a person relies of drugs to sleep.

There are dangers don't go to where angels fear to tread. Robert Monroe once found himself unable to get back to his body , he came across a barrier of some sort. Like him I once found myself in the body of a strange person who appeared to be locked up in a small room, which only had one window. It was terrifying and I somehow instantly separated from this person and found myself back in my body, which jerked so hard on my return that I lifted off the bed,

You don't go for example exploring deep and dangerous caves alone and inexperienced, you learn all the safety rules first. When first OB you can limit your travels to short distances and times out of body and progress further and further as you  gain in confidence.

I have never heard of a person being possessed by an entity while ob but this is a possibility that cannot be discounted , as I seemed to take over the person previously mentioned  I of course has no malicious agenda and exited immediately

An advanced OBE can direct himself to where the want to go, I have not advanced to this level and just end up where I end up. Yes an an advanced adept can even become a peeping tom but this is immoral/

We do not use the senses of the physical body but what I call mind or soul  senses, It might be of interest to you that in this state even the blind can see.

Hi,

During my NDE I experienced hell like realms and heavily realms, but not the Christian fundamentalist hell of eternal everlasting torment. If this were the truth then God is worse than Hitler. 

If one thinks deeply about the view most fundamental Christian believe about hell. It is completely horrific and unspeakable cruel. Think about a person because of a "finite transgression", being tormented by an "infinite being" in an "infinite way". Burning in a lake sulfur for an eternity day and night forever and ever in linear time. Exist in torment forever, God do this, not my lovely father God!!!!!!

A second in this place would be hideous beyond human thought. Think of taking a little child's hand and forcing it onto red-hot burning stove plate for just 10 minutes, would God do the same and infinitely worse to a human soul forever, and not allow this soul to ever expire.

A former friend , now Christian fundamentalist says because of what I have just stated to the forum and him, my  eternal destiny is the hell I don't believe in.

I retract my thoughts in horror and cannot rap my brain round from this unspeakable belief. If there is a devil it is more likely to do this kind of evil. not God, who will purge a soul from its wrong and reintroduce it into the cosmic family of sentient souls when it is ready.

That unredeemable souls might be annihilated is a possibility

I have this experience all the time I revisit my home town just as I was 40 years ago. I also have seen it in the far future where the buildings and homes seems to be made of a modded plastic of some kind. If I perceived it right the who;e building is molded somehow in one go and each house a different color and never needing painting and very little maintenance

Why do I assume this thread is Muslim, because of my impetuous nature where I often shoot myself in the foot. Oh!! the "PAIN" but it makes me more careful not to do it again. The other reason was my tendency to read a book from the last page instead of starting at the first. But take it from me. Hello Guys,

In my imagination I got trapped on an infinity road, No beginning no end. So on my endless ceaseless journey I constructed barriers like walls to end my journey, but the barriers just then extended out into infinite forever. So to overcome the boredom of my ceaseless travel, I made a paradise to rest in for as long as I like and then countless different paradises and just or fun burning hells to make my lonely life fun

Even God cant be Infinite although he must push on towards it forever!!!!!!!

At the turn of the last century Physicists figured out that there has to be a non-place** which they called  Quantum-gap (Unified Field) to explain the Universe.  Very simply: they figured out that without this Quantum-gap the Universe simply could not exist. Just like the Universe could not exist without the non-place/timeless  Now it also could also not exist without the Quantum-gap.  These Physicists however, did not get this Quantum-gap's Monism Message. 

Yes this non place is needed for existence to come into being. Strange as it seems you need non existence to have existence. "Zero point moment", "Omega point" is another word to decribe this impossible concept
