I feel like you have and obe every morning lol. Cool experience though

Congrats sounds like fun. I have always used the phrase "Clarity now" to get my vision going. I guess it's the same thing as Vision now though.
I almost could have had a projection this morning from hyponogogic state as well, but as I started to see and hear things I heard someone in my house physically and it woke me up.

When I listen to the gateway series I use my skull candy headset. It wraps around my head, but I have to make sure they're positioned right on my ears otherwise after 20 minutes or so it starts to hurt my left ear

I know exactly what you mean when you said you're familiar with the house or place your at in the dream/OBE and then when you wake up you have no idea where you just were lol.
I get that all the time, and that does sound like good idea. In a next experience try and go back to that place and see if you really do know it.

I have never induced an OBE from an awake state. All of my experiences have taken place in the monrning while waking up as I stated earlier.

What you said about keeping a blank mind and waiting long enough you'll eventualy pop out. Well you can try, but I don't think you would. I am not trying to bring you down at all lol just trying to help.
The way I see it and was taught is that if you are lying in bed trying to induce an OBE and you relax, do breathing exercises, focus on the blackness behind your closed eyes, etc. you and your mind will be too caught up in the physical to forget about your original intention.. of getting out of the body. And the only way to get out of the body is to let it fall asleep. So by doing all of these things sometimes it can actually prevent you from going further.

When I first started out I read A LOT. I was always on the forums and I picked up robert monroes book Journeys out of the body. I think expanding your knowledge on the subject is the best thing you can do.
And practice too, like I said your on the right track and you're doing good by practicing, I still look forward to getting OOB every night, but usually it doesn't happen that often haha, but I still go to bed with the intentions of going out.

You're on the right track, but you still need time to learn and practice more. You can't have any thoughts. You can't think about your physical body. If you are still feeling muscle spasms, you arn't close to leaving your body.
You have to actually let your body fall asleep.
My best advise is to try it in the morning after a nights sleep, right after waking up, or while you're waking up for the first time. This is the best time for me and many other people too.

Just read as much as you can and fill your mind with information

thanks for the replies. Kurt what do you mean you experiment with high frequency equipment? My labtop was on and next to my bed all night, but I've also experienced this before and my labtop wasn't next to me, but still in my room.

Hmm the blood rushing sounds like an idea, but how loud is it? Because to me it seems pretty loud and it's like I can almost feel it. I honestly can't explain what it is. I don't think it's anything bad though as I've experienced it a few times over a couple of years even before I got into AP.
Just seemed like a normal thing my body would do sometimes at night.

But thsi morning since I was able to get a partial seperation while i having this experience I figured maybe it was related to vibrations, but maybe it was just a coincedence this was happening while my body was in the right state to leave.

#235
No, pretty sure it doesn't. I wouldn't say it has a consistant "pulse" either. It just comes and goes for a few seconds until I start waking up and becoming aware then it's done.
I have never ever felt this when I was concious and awake throughout my day. I've only gotten it like I said a few times either in the middle of the night or early morning. Not even really when I'm waking up, it's more of maybe I hear someone in my house and it just grabs my attention for a minute and I become aware for only a few seconds then I'm passed out again haha
#236
I wouldn't say I'm very concious when this happens either. This morning when I woke up after everything I had to actaully think about it and try and remember if it really happend of not.

so it's not like I wake up with this crazy thing going on and I'm completely aware of it

thanks xanth, but I'm pretty sure it's not that as that sound is usually ALWAYS there. I had a teacher who had it, and he said he wouldn't even notice it was there until it got quiet or someone reminded him of it.

That is usually just a small ringing sound in the ear.

I really wish I could explain what this sensation is, but it's almost impossible lol.
#237
Okay I have a question.
Sometimes in the morning or at night just sometimes whenever I randomly wake up I'll have this feeling like a buzzing in my head and my ears. And it will come in pulses too. Almost like an energy surging or something. I don't know how to explain it.

I've actually experienced this all my life. This morning I woke up and I had this experience and while I was having it I tried to leave my body and to my surprise I was able to detach my legs, arms, and lower body, but my head was stuck and I wasn't able to get it out.

I've experienced vibrations only 2 times and it felt different to me then this. The vibrations I've had were smooth and constant and I could control them and make them flow through out my entire body.

These sharp pulsating buzzes are just in my ears and head. Are these some type of vibrations?
Thanks

Cool experience, in all of my OBE's I have never seen or really even looked for this cord
#239
I watched 6 last night, I am watching the rest right now. And eatin some chips and salsa  :-D
#240
I love when you become lucid in your astral body before you leave your physical. I have heard many sounds and people talking during that time.
Also I have had problems of being sucked back in too. Sometimes I'll sit up in my bed legs still attached and the pull gets so hard that it won't let me go any further and it pulls me back in.

As for the position I don't think it really matters. I have best luck if I roll over onto my stomach, but I have done it from my back and sides as well. It's really what you prefer
#241
Lol you don't really have to leave a window open in the physical. And I was being serious, you can easily open a door in the non physical or in your case open a window. Your mind is much more used to doing these sorts of things rather then going through a wall. So when your OBE and try to go through a wall your mind says, wait I can't go through a wall making it solid in order to keep things "normal"

So I garuentee you if you try and open a door or open a window to go outside you'll be successful.

And lol at this being for noobs oh well it makes it easier to get outside lol whenever i try and go through walls i end up smashing my head on it instead of going through it
#242
Why not just open the door and walk out? lol
I still have trouble going through walls so I just dont try it that often
#244
Nope never got OBE smoking weed, but I did smoke (caleia?) I think it's called. I ordered some off line a year or so ago and usually would smoke it at night and then sleep after. I don't recall having OBE's with it, but I did have extremely good dream memorizaiton and would remember up to like 6 dreams a night
#245
not really too recent, but once I got OBE and picked up a playing card I placed on my shelf. It was a red 7 of hearts.
When I woke up in the physical I looked at the card and it was a red 7 of diamonds. I thought it was pretty damn close.

I placed another card on the shelf, but havn't been obe in a while to try it again
#246
As for the thing wrapped around your arm it might have just been because in the physical you were laying on it in a position that caused it to hurt and you were brought back to your body so you could move.

And as for not being able to see I had that problem too when I first got OOB for the first few times. Then I started saying "Clarity now" or "vision now" and it would help alot
#247
Gbob I feel the same way. So far I have had over 10 OBE's. And don't get me wrong every one of them is great, but they get repetitive. I get OBE, walk out of my room, down the hall, usually go outside and fly around for a bit til I wake up.

I wish I could have something exciting happen. Maybe a visit to the moon or something. I wish I could try and learn more too. I just don't know where to begin while OBE really..
#248
No I'm sure it can work from the state you are talking about too. As long as your mind is in a state almost like a dream state you shouldn't have a problem recreating the feeling of something in your hand
#249
I had my first experience about 2 months after hearing about OBE's for the first time on youtube just browsing videos.

Now I've been doing them for about 2 years and have had more then 10 but less then 20 experiences. Forget how many exactly. I don't write them down like I used to really.

I have a really good feeling this technique is going to work really good. Maybe not the first time, but I am almost certain it will bring me some obes in future attempts.
That is because all of my obes are in the morning, right as I wake up. I usually just roll over (physically) and then maybe 10 seconds later out of nowhere will fall into SP.
Now this tecnique will give me something to focus on (the cell phone in hand) as I let my body fall back into SP.
Can't wait to give it a try tomorrow morning.. as long as my alarm doesn't keep waking me up lol
