mine is Bob251, and as you can tell, I am very original with my usernames [:P]

I play, off and on.  Mostly ums's (I really suck at the normal game [V])

I have a friend who plays it almost every time he's over here (he doesn't have an internet connection at his house.)  He's pretty good at the regular game and ums games.

Would be interesting to get together on Bnet and play a few games.  What kind of ums games do you like? (Madness? RPGs? Open RPGs? etc.)

Ah, yes.  Neon Genesis Evangelion was quite an interesting series.  I for one, despite all my friends warnings that it wasn't the typical anime, did not see the end coming.  It was kind of anti-climatic, I thought.  However, watching The End of Evangelion (one of the movies) cleared up some of the answers (while adding more than there was to begin with).

I reccommend this series as well, but don't expect to get all of it the first time through.  It IS confusing, and poses many interesting questions.

As far as the "mind trip" scenes, they are the reason that "Neon Genesis Evangelion" and "Happy Fun Seizure Time" are now synonyms in my mind. [:P]

Welcome to Astral Chat! / white dots in sky?
May 15, 2003, 21:57:15
Well, I don't have an explanation for you.

What I do have is the fact that there are more people who have experienced that sort of...thing (for lack of a better word).  I have experienced this myself, walking home from school.  I thought I saw an object flying across the sky, and when I tried to focus on it I began to see a swarm of white dots in the sky.

So, that's all I have.  I too would like to know what this is.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Pet peeve
May 01, 2003, 22:27:34
Hmmm, pet peeves, eh?  Alright

Any and all incosiderate and ignorant drivers (of the most BASIC laws of driving, like stop signs;  you're supposed to STOP).

Close-minded people.  Especially those that are somewhat intelligent; they form some kind of argument to debunk another person's view.  Then there are the ones that comment on a topic of which they know nothing about.  That is very annoying.

People who laugh at their own jokes when no one else is laughing.  Unless they get the idea that they AREN'T FUNNY.  It's the ones that don't get the message that annoy me.

People that are just complete a**holes, know they are a**holes, choose to be a**holess, and don't give a flip about what anyone else thinks.  Makes me want to shoot them in the foot repeatedly.

Meh, I'll think of others later...

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Our Favorite Quotes
April 16, 2003, 21:55:35
Hmm, I can't remember if this is right or not, but here goes:
"No poor bastard ever won a war by dying for his country.  He won by making other poor bastards die for their countries."
-George Patton (once again, I think)

And, of course, I have to put in some Homer qutoes [:P]:
"I'm tired of being a wannabe league bowler.  I wanna be a league bowler!"

"Homer no function beer well without."

Welcome to Metaphysics! / who is Baal

Ah yes, Baldur's Gate.  Good Game[:P]

On another irrelevant note, Baal is also the Lord of Destruction in the Diablo series of games [:P].

There are a number of resources, but the only one I know of is www.about.com , and search for whatever style of Martial Arts you want. I know I've found a number of resources for Tae Kwon Do on there.

Although, I can tell you right now, that (in my opinion) it won't do you AS MUCH good as if you had an instructor or teacher or sensei.  I know I could never beat some of my friends who are on a lower level belt than I am in a sparring match because I haven't been to Tae Kwon Do practice in a while (straying off topic, feel free to stop reading) and they have.  Actually it's been over a year since I've been.  But, because of the way our sensei instructs us, we have better technique than if we did it at home.

Just my 2 cents.

I would like to be (or at least try to be) the third party.
The only issue is I live in Central Time Zone (6 hours behind Auraseer).  So, unless there is someone who lives a little closer, then I'd like to be the third party.

Too many Simpsons quotes.  Not enough time to type all.

Burns: "This house has quite a long and colorful history.  It was built on an ancient Indian burial ground and was the setting for satanic rituals, witch burnings, and five John Denver Christmas specials."

(the next is recalled from memory, may not be EXACTLY correct)
Lisa:"DAD! We did something REALLY bad!"
Homer:"Did you wreck the car?"
Bart:"No."
Homer:"Did you raise the dead?"
Lisa:"Yes."
Homer:"But the car's OK?"
Bart and Lisa:"Uh-huh."
Homer:"OK then.

got this from someone's signature in another forum, some might remember it

"Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy, and taste good with ketchup."

The only thing more accurate than incoming enemy fire is incoming FRIENDLY fire.

That's it for now.

You left out one biggie, Squeek.   METROID PRIME!!!!

Anyways, Tom, you've piqued my interest.  I'm sure everyone here is interested in what this form of meditation is.

I would like to be the third party.  I know I've been kind of sitting back and not saying much, but I've been following auraseer's topics closely, among others.

As I understand it, kakkarot, you need someone fair, impartial, and someone who doesn't need any energy experience whatsoever, correct?  I say I fit that category well, since I barely know anyone here, try to be fair in all judgements, and just started researching ki (chi, qui, whatever floats your boat [:P]).

In case you need to know, I live in Central Time Zone, which I believe is 6 hours behind auraseer's time zone.

Well, I'm new to this myself.  I've heard that a good first step is Robert Bruce's NEW Energy Ways.  There's a link to an on-line and downloadable book floating around here somewhere on this board.  After about 6 months of researching, that's where I decided I should start.  Problem is finding time to do it [:P].

Also, if you don't want to sound like a newbie or non-believer, avoid using the word "stuff" [;)].

That's happened to me several times before........in math class (seriously, I have the most boring Math teachers)

Seriously, one time I could hear my teacher calling my name and I couldn't respond.  This was, unfortunately, about a year and a half BEFORE I started researching all this.  Wish I had found out about it sooner. [:(]  Oh well.

Hello.  I've been following this topic and the previous one quite closely and have been anxiously awaiting the pictures and videos.

The pics don't offer much proof (at least not to me, and BTW, I would just like to say that I do believe that all of what you say is true, auraseer, it's just that seeing it would be a final confirmation) so I was hoping that the videos would help.  The only problem is the videos aren't any good.  When I say not good, i mean that it will start, and then for the next 40 or however long seconds, it won't go, and then it will show you going to stop the recording.

I have no idea what's wrong, but I do know that I would really like to see these videos.  If you know of any reason this could be happening, I would like to know.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Hey

Hi.  Although I haven't posted much, I've read quite a bit, and as far as I can tell, the people ehre are very nice.

Do you mean using "I" as opposed to "i" as captilizing everything?  If that's it, I don't think so, although it is a bit easier to read.

If they were just "Internet Friends", then I wouldn't be worried about these problems because they could just be making it up.  But I do know these people; I go to school with them.

I respect the fact that you are trying to help, but next time, gather the facts before you comment.  Ask questions, and I will answer them.  Don't just make assumptions.

Wow, that was SOME GREAT help there!  [note sarcasm]

come on, even telling me to move to a Dream forum is advice.  Not giving any advice is kind of rude.
