yeah, I have trouble with entering from dreams too. Every time I become lucid, I have a desire to AP and suddenly everything goes black and I wake up a second or two later *sighs*. Though lately I've had very little success since I became lazy and stopped keeping a dream journal, which I think greatly helped. I guess I'll just have to up the effort a bit hehe.

But keep trying phychonaut. You'll get there eventually.

Hey all,
Im hoping someone can clear this up for me. Basically, the last few nights, I've been really intently attempting to project, without much success.

BUT

1. Recently, I've had a couple of weird dreams that im not so sure were dreams. In the sense that I could see them with my own eyes. Now, at first I thought it was a deffinete projection. But the thing is, I wasnt fully 'aware' of it. In the sense that I had about as much awareness as you would if you were just normally dreaming.

2. Secondly, I've also had similar experiences, where I've been trying to project, have fallen asleep and then at some point (possibly directly after) I've come awake in the sense that im mentally aware, but not physically, and have seen something through my eyes that I couldnt possibly have seen in my room. Like last night I caught a glimpse of a room with very old looking books, candles and those feather things people used to write with. But just as soon as it was there, it was gone and I woke up.

3. Thirdly, last week sometime, I woke up in the night, and realised that although I could feel my eyes firmly shut I could still see my room, and furthermore, that although I could feel myself laying down I could also feel myself sitting up.

Sorry about the long post guys! But yeah, any ideas? Tips suggestions etc.

Logansmommy, firstly welcome to the forums.

As for your experience, anything is possible, it may have just been a dream, but usually you can tell the difference between a dream and a projection. Sorry I cant be of more help, no doubt someone else who is more experienced will be able to answer your question a little more fully. But personally, I think its very possible.

They sure are. Its amazing how much they miss us in the short times we're gone. Like if you nip up the street to run an errand, and come back. They are always over the moon to see you again.

Good work Hagar, with patience and determination you are sure to succeed. Im not there yet myself, but from what I've seen, it all pays off in the end.

Good job! My congrats.

Aw, I really wanna be able to ap now! My dog whom I was very attached to was hit by a van and died late last year. The finer details of what happened make it even more painful (the van was a mercedes and the guy wanted us to pay the damages to his car after he left my dog out on the road for God knows how long to die). But it is comforting to know that somewhere on the astral plane he might be there. Its just a matter of getting there now

jasond, perhaps the 'astral chat' forum would have been a better place to post as this has no relevance to astral experiences

Quote...where my body got out of bed and wanted to come along for the ride...

sweet, thanks for the help man

Im so jealous! What an incredible experience. It's affirming to me to know that astral projection isnt some sort of sin as some believe, otherwise you would never have had that experience. Thanks for sharing.

thanks for the reply man, though ah... just what is F10 and F12?

Hey all, the other night was the closest I've ever come to having a fully concious OBE. Ok, so here's what happened:
Ok, so I started out in a weird dream, the whole place looked like a scene out of Alice In Wonderland. I dont recall much of it other than I walked up to this gate, which was just gargantuan, at least 5 stories high. Very comical.

It was at that point I became lucid, but instead of just trying to project I tried to see things a little more clearly. I think I was trying to see the dream through my eyes, not my mind (if that makes sense). I tried this for a minute or so with little success (I have done it in the past, almost).

Abandoning that, I went back to the standard projection attempt routine. The Alice In Wonderland scene vanished and was replaced by darkness. It was as if I could feel my physical body while still asleep, it kind of felt 'not normal' somehow. I tried to separate my physical and astral bodies. I got so close! I could feel my physical body laying still while I was moving an arm of some sort (im guessing it was my astral arm), I freed my head too. Meanwhile I kept hearing this weird noise, like a grinding of metal noise.

Then for some reason they snapped back in place and I woke up. But... thats where it gets weird. I think I woke up, but my vision was kinda blurry and my body was so damm sluggish, It was such an effort to roll over. Which is when I noticed a dark 'shadow', more like a cloud or something in the air beside my bed, maybe 1.5 metres away? But I was seeing two of it, like double vision, but only of the shadow thing. I blinked a few times and the shadow was replaced by a body suspended in mid-air looking at me, which scared the absolute crap out of me! Then im not sure what happened next, but the next thing I know, Im facing the other way (horizontally)(as if I had rolled back over) and I was fully awake, able to move and seeing correctly.

Yeah, those spiders were so damm scary. They were huge too. I had similar experiences with various forms of scary objects. Though bumping into a person made of black would have totally freaked me out! I would have had a heart failure right there and then!
#45
whoah man, that sounds pretty trippy!
I've had some pretty messed up experiences too. When I was a kid after I woke up from a nightmare there would always be something in my room with me. I woke up one night turned on the light and my room was covered in spiders. That sort of thing.
Pretty messed up stuff. But my conclusion from it all that it was just the sudden transition from dreaming to being fully concious, and your imagination just keeps on going, and although it might seem very real, its just your imagination.

But in your case who knows, it may be real, I guess theres no real way to tell. I recall reading a post a while back about a guy meeting sinister people in the astral plane. One person who replied suggested that the person they saw might not have been real but a manifestation of their fear centered around an entity. In that persons case... a person. Maybe what your experiencing isnt too similar.

Cool stuff man!

Aw thanks, im glad you liked them

yeah, concentrating and not letting stray thoughts in is damm hard! But keep at it perception, you'll get there soon enough! And when you do, tell me how you did it lol.

congrats mrnuggs, hope to hear more from you soon

Hey all, im back! Not that I ever really left, but I have just been stupidly busy the last few weeks and havent had time to sneak on here. Anyway, that aside, my experience.

Well, I woke up this morning, I was kinda still sleepy so I rolled over and tried to get back to sleep. Next thing I know, I realised that I was actually seeing my dream through my eyes, not like you would imagine something usually in your head.
I got really excited, it was kind of weird though, the actual "dream" itself seemed to be off in the distance surrounded by black, and was kinda blurry.
The next thing, I guess I got a little too excited lost concentration and kinda snapped out of it *sighs*. Still, pretty close eh!
