Anyone know any Southern California dates? We want to see them for my friends birthday.

Perhaps their is a reason your stuck in your room, look around...

At the same time, everything is at the very least infleunced by the subjective. I suppose only we can define good and evil for ourselves, hoping the best choice is the one we all end up sharing...
#29
last week I had an intersting experince that taught me that the only way to combat evil is through fearlessness.

Lateralus is not as structured as the other albums, and you don't neccesarily get the complete feel as with Undertow or AEnima, but the numerology is amazing in it, not to mention some of the most classic songs ever done by Tool are on it, (ie. Schism, The Patient, Parabol). From a holisitic view, I think I'd be inclined to agree, but taken from each individual song, it's still a personal favorite

No Hanna, I think your very right, an experince is an experince no matter how it is viewed. Our imagination affects our perception profoundly and it is near impossible to seperate the two... but conversly their are certain trademarks of various experinces that set them apart for others... We are alwas multidimensional, its all about changing our limites minds into perciving other dimensional levels rather than just this one... its all incredibly awe inspiriing though, isn't it?

Wings is one of my favorite songs, and I'm learning to play Lateralus (the song) on my guitar. They are a huge infleunce on my guitar work... Their individual songs are all amzing, but when you begin to see the progression of story and underlying theme in their work, it becomes profoundly altering, at least for me. Lateralus is one of their best, if not the best work they've ever done...

Perhaps thats how its meant to be, humanity is the one who made the divide between astral and physical, and some can break through that divide. Perhaps that schism is what original sin is all about...
#36
I thought people always talked to them before they fell asleep, but I never played with stuff like that... thats pretty neat...

Some would say you are extremly gifted, that you have an ability to help others beyond almosy anyone I've ever heard of. I'm not sure how to help you though, since you didn't specify what you need help with.... but your not crazy, similar things have happened to me...

I love Tool. Happened to see them live for the first time two nights ago.  :-)

I'd say it was well worth the price.

I want to be you two nights ago, lol... I really need to see them live, they seem like a band that after it was all over I would probably leave being an enlighened being, lol....

I love the constant theme of acesension in all of their work. My personal favorite songs by them are Wings for Marie parts one and two... that image of Marie standing at the gates of heaven demanding that  God himself present her with her wings is so epic... but it can be broken down into such a deeper image... And I love all of Tool's music videos.

It sounds like the aswer is simple. Your belief is false, and should be removed. when removed, you can turn yourself around.

Anyone else here love them? I think much of their work ties into what we do... just a thought....

Nobody asks for more than trying. Being emotional is not weakness either, turn it around and use it as a strength...

Congrats. The sounds can be a little disturbing as one exists, but It happens to me whenver I get the vibes. Also the feeling of being attacked, I used to get that too. The things I hear are like meatallic machines and sometimes a female voice saying something over and over again... I need to know what she's asking...

Welcome to Book Reviews! / Re: Ender's Game

Certainly Ender's game was his finest. The Advent Rising story had an incredibly epic feel to it, and its a shame he never really took it anywhere.

I geuss in the end, its all subjective though...

Talanay, I think you should give him a break. I'm only seventeen, and I remember all the things that happened to me at that age and how real they felt. He obviously has enough excrement going on in his life to have somebody creating doubt in his already troubled time, and especially now that he is feeling better, cut him some slack.
#47
I don't have perfect pitch at all. I can tell you when your guiatar is out of tune and tune it for you, but I can't name the notes... I play mostly by ear...
#48
I never really thought about it. The standard freqeuncy is 440 or guitars but, I'm not sure about the chakra freq... hmmm I think its a bit to high for a guitar though... perhaps tuning up an ocave from standard and playing on your highest frets might do it, although I'm not sure...

Hopefully... the LHC has alot banking on it. Of course, if it doesn't validate our theories, then what?

I like that very much, I'm sure it will turn out to be an excellent story. I wrote a short story involving astral projection one time, and I want to develop it further... need any advice, just come to these forums!
