Welcome to Magic! / dark magic
August 03, 2005, 11:26:01
I really don't follow....

Wisdom and experience is what matters.
If you can't send someone positive, healing energy....without it coming back to bite you in the butt then IMO, don't quit your dayjob! LOL

Welcome to Magic! / dark magic

Well you know you can send good out there and all is fine and well if you don't continue to stay focused.  You can just lose yourself in the realities of everyday life.

It's like having a good dog or a sinister monstrosity for a pet.  A good dog will lay down and behave and know when the day is done.

A sinister monstrosity will wait for you to fall into a deep sleep and then rip your face off.  You have to watch it and be mindful of it constantly, and be self-assured in who is boss.  Until you remove it from your presence.

Welcome to Magic! / the darker side
July 31, 2005, 15:09:19
Dark and Light both have to exist for either to exist.  (u know what I mean)  That is universal law. Yin Yang bla bla.

I personally think it is unwise not to be familiar with both.

When it comes to curses and things of that nature...you need to be really certain what you are doing and you have to be willing to accept the consequences.  I have found that if you don't keep your will focused for an astoundingly long period of time....Whatever energy you've put out there will come spiraling back to you....it's closest source.  It's a fire that has to be fed or it will consume you.  Does this make sense to anyone??
Even if you do it for justice, you have to expect to be judged, by the same measure and punished as severely.

If you use any darker ritual and don't stay focused until the end and then bind it, you gonna' pay! LOL  It is walking a tight rope.  So to anyone attempting darker works, their is validity to it....I think you should be familiar with all.  But, educate yourself and take responsibility.  Be prepared.  It's not like some cookie cutter make bobby like me thing.  You are messing with the will of others.  And don't forget not to play karma police cause everybody has a little of that waiting around the corner.  Im out! LOL

Welcome to Magic! / Air Magick

The book is called Psychic Self-Defense...It was written by a woman known as Dion Fortune and originally published in 1930.

The book itself more or less eludes to magick. (she was in an order at the time)  But, a clever person can pull a lot from it.  It held my attention entirely.  She can be a bit of a tough read....Written English in the 30's is not at all what it is today.

She wrote a lot of books.  I'm really into them.  I only have 3 so far. But, I will read them all.

If you are open in the way you describe...You need to find a way to close the circle.  It is okay to hear the things you are hearing ...but you need a tool to block it out.  Not totally block it out,,,you need to perfect hearing one voice at a time in appropriate situations.

It can be frightening to be open in this way and allow all the voices in.  Even when I "mediate" between those present and past, some little jerko will try to get his ten cents in...I know now that is when it's time to step back or close the circle.

Hope this helps.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Telekinesis
July 31, 2005, 03:09:34
I can suggest a book, It's called Psychic Science.  It has some pretty good information on telekinesis.  It's not worked for me personally but it has helped a great deal in my astral travels.

I have a book that suggests getting to know all of the elements.  When I focused on wind things in my house started tipping over or blowing away for no reason.....The door would even pop open.  I think it's a valid elemental.

Welcome to Magic! / Christian Magicians or Magick
December 13, 2004, 02:23:58
Oh no somebody said the big "C" word!! lol

As far as the original post..

If you get inspiration from the bible and you find meaning in Christianity, you can still do magick.

Find passages from the bible that you can relate to, for the particular situation you're in, and use that (or a similar version that you may write yourself) as your incantation.
There is nothing wrong with that.
Regardless of how many of us here happen to be a bit salty towards organized religion, I think we all can agree, that it's the feeling and passion that you put into the ritual, that's important.
If that's what you relate to, there is no reason not to use it.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Instilling envy
December 13, 2004, 01:24:28
Oh no...spirit does poo!

It's called immaculate defecation.  Poof...It just goes away!

In all seriousness though...

I have never had this problem.  I doubt it's because I'm lacking anything to be envious over.  I think it's because...I don't think about things like, who I am superior to and who I am not superior to.  (spiritually or otherwise)  And I certainly don't have the type of ego that would allow me to assume that it must be out of envy, if someone has a problem with me.

By the way "To give is to take"???  What the heck is that?  That's just silly!

I appreciate where you are coming from, but it is foreign to me.
I mean now what....You are going to go on a great excursion to help those that are envious of you??  IS THAT AN EGO IN YOUR POCKET?? LOL

Okay, don't get mad at my post...I'm in a saucy mood.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Instilling envy

Well in all fairness, if it wasn't a one man show....
You should have made sure the people performing with you got the credit they deserved as well.  Maybe you just basked in the limelight of your own wonderfulness a bit too much..lol  Maybe it bothered everyone that you didn't see the importance of their roles, in relation to yours.

It feels great to feel special.  It feels wonderful to be in the limelight and to get compliments. (in every aspect of life!)

You should strive to make other's feel that way too!!
It's a give and take...
If you just take, of course it will leave people feeling resentful.

Whatever you do...don't start actin' like yo' poo don't stank!! LOL
It is sure to annoy people and make them want to knock you down a coupla' notches.

Just my simple, down-home, unenlightened 2 cents.

Never once in my life have I said..."They are just jealous."  It wouldn't occur to me.  Also, I would try to look more introspectively at my own actions before making that type of statement.

Could you give an example of a time when someone was obviously jealous of you??

I have had people that were not worth my energy get too near to me, and I suffered for it.  But, I don't think it was out of jealously or envy.  Then again maybe it was...lol
(or maybe I was just an idiot, for letting such superficial relationships have any place in my life..)

Welcome to Writers Corner! / Help!
December 11, 2004, 02:28:22
Okay so my sister is pregnant...this excited and inspired me soooo much that I wrote a children's book based on she and her husband's life together and their new gift!  It's called "The Scholarly Fish and The Working Gull"

Anyway, I only write when I really really feel like it.  I hadn't written anything in awhile.

This is an amazing book.  I'm still surprised that I wrote it!

Soooo now what??  How do I get it published?  I need a step-by-step on this one!  What do I do? Who do I talk to?
Thanks!!!

There is a book called Soul Retrieval by Sandra Ingerman (sp?).

It walks you through the whole process really.

I enjoyed it quite a bit.

One word of warning though....Be prepared to deal with your soul part/s when it comes back to you.  It can really put you into touch with a lot of old emotions.  Essentially, it takes you back to a place where emotionally you stopped growing.  It can take a lot of time and energy to nurture and heal those aspects of yourself.  It can be a painful process.
Have a plan on what you will do if things get really tough!

As far as the original post.......I think you should focus less on your spiritual connection with this person and focus on what his actions are telling you.  I think you are getting jerked around a little.
If you want answers, just ask him.  Don't play the game.  Just cowgirl up and say "Look, man....What's your deal?"  If he wants to beat around the bush, just sit to the side 'till he gets dizzy! lol

STAY CRITICAL! lol

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / aura outlines
December 11, 2004, 01:30:52
I was just thinking about this topic earlier.

Sometimes, I'll only see a quick glint of color.
I looked over at my cat one day and saw a quick flash of neon blue..It was amazing.

I can usually make out some color if the subject is against a white wall.
I can see it just within the energy field along the very edge of the object/person.
Or I see it just outside of the energy field, kind of fading outward.

Try seeing it against a white wall and let your eyes drift in and out of focus slightly.
Hope this helps!!
Okay I'm sitting here staring at my hand..lol

Welcome to Dreams! / false Awakenings
December 10, 2004, 02:44:27
This has happened to me as well.  Sometimes I lay in bed all night thinking I can't get to sleep at which point I wake up and realize I was dreaming that I couldn't get to sleep. <---Not pleasant!!

It happens when I sleep with my eyes open....(have done this on occasion my whole life, feel bad for my boyfriend  lol)

It can be a good lead into obe.

I left my body this way before and I scared the crap out of myself!
This is funny....
I was sleeping with my eyes open and I left my body.  I went and floated around the house just enjoying myself.  Then I came back into my room and I got really close to my face. Well, my physical body's eyes were open.  I actually was able to somehow see a little Grey cloud in front of my face in bed.  It was having 2 perceptions at once.
Anyway, I looked scary laying there in bed with my eyes open and I scared myself floating in front of my face! lolol
I don't know if I explained that really well, but it was really funny.

You all have been so gracious in sharing with me! Thank yo so much..
I have always been very "open".  But only now have I been able to discover, and fully conceptualize, how deeply it's planted.

I've had my ups and downs with my spiritual revelations....But, right now I'm getting a lot laid on me all at once!  It's freaky...but awesome.
The best way I can describe this, is that my "higher-self" and "earthly-self" (whatever you want to call it) have had a head on collision....and I need some help getting comfortable in this new skin.
The new truths that I am learning about energy and life are blowing me away.  I've been on the right track for a long time but it seemed fragmented.  Now, it's all right in front of me.

Does this sound strange?  I know I'm asking for a lot of validation.  It's because this is my only safe-space to discuss all of this stuff.
I'm a little worried too, because I feel myself changing and I don't quite know where this person's place is.

Again, Thank you ALL sooo much!  I don't know what I'd do without your understanding.

I don't know how to shield myself.  I have a lot of problems because of this.  I want to get control over it.  I do meditate and I get a lot of strength from that.  But, it doesn't tune these things out...it just makes it a little more bearable.

Another thing, I've just recently woken up to this aspect of myself.  Before I thought I was just too sensitive.  I didn't realize that their was any technical terms for what I was experiencing.  Because of that, my resources were limited. (you cant learn if you don't know what to ask.)

I don't know what direction to go in.  I don't know who to talk to for advice or what books to read. (and I read a lot!)

I'm on medication for this...it doesn't seem to help really.  I am also in therapy.  Fortunately, my therapist is very open minded! Right now I feel a lot of negative side-effects from this.  Are their positive ones? What are they?
Thanks so much for responding!  It's good, not feeling alone in this.

I've suspected for a long time that my anxiety/panic disorder was something more than a medical issue.

A few weeks ago I woke up and my mouth said "I'm an empath."  I know that sounds a little strange, but that's exactly what happened.  I hadn't heard this term before, but I understood what it meant.

Upon doing some research, I found that my symptoms were very common amongst those with empathic ability.
The same symptoms exist within many types of psychosis.

So, needless to say...I'm a little confused.  I guess I want to know if I'm crazy or quite sane!  The line between the two, within the spiritual realm at least, seems thin at best.

Does anyone know what I mean by this?  Do you know of any resources that could help me?
I'm picking up on things all around me all the time...I have no filters and this makes me feel vulnerable and stressed.
I wish I knew more about this or knew someone who could help me with this.  I have no idea how to go about it.
Help!

Welcome to Dreams! / Psychic Dreams
March 15, 2004, 20:38:20
Does anyone here have psychic dreams?

I have them.  Unfortunately, it's never about anything as complex as the fate of the world.  But, I will just wake up knowing what will happen.  It is the strangest thing.

It always creeps my friends and family out a little bit.  But, they know by now to listen to me. So, I don't feel like quite as much of a nut job..lol.

Also, it can be confusing.  You get used to knowing what will happen through your dreams, but not all are psychic.  So you can never quite tell which are important and which are just sub-conscious.

If anyone here does have psychic dreams, please share.  I'd like to know how you differentiate between real psychic dreams, and other random dreams.

Welcome to Dreams! / The Spider "Dream"
March 14, 2004, 21:24:28
When I was about 3 years old, I was awaken in the middle of the night.  My room looked the same and everything was as usual.  Then, things started to change...On my sheets were tiny black spiders crawling in a pattern.  I looked up and the pattern was on the curtain as well.

Suddenly, up from the floor, dark shadows started to emerge.  They developed into very large, long-legged spiders.  They started hopping all over my room.  Two of them jumped onto my body and started to crawl up to my chest and face.  They were shadows, but blacker than black.

I jumped up out of bed screaming and got into my younger sister's crib.  She started screaming "spiders, spiders!!" My mother came in and turned on the light and they were gone. Just like that.

After that their were many occasions where I awoke before the rest of my family.  When I would go downstairs in the house, their were spider webs in all of the doorways.  I would knock them down.  It was so strange.  But I swear, (cross my heart lol) It was real.  I was awake.  I remember.

What do you all think of this?? Was it that my astral filter was non-existant as a child. Do we all have these strange experiences as children?  Has anyone else had an experience like this??  What happened?  I'd love to hear your theories!!!

-Monica
(btw I'm not at all frightened  by spiders)

Is it....place your love beneath your will (meaning make it less significant), or make love the root or guidance of your will??

Personally, I believe it's the latter.  However, I'm interested to hear other opinions regarding the quote itself. Even if it doesn't fit into my personal analysis.

I think this should be interesting.
