Hey, I have the same problem sometimes....like just now, it took me 3 times to post this reply. The first two attempts just sent me back to the main forum page. This is pretty much my normal experience on this forum site, that and the absence of the images sometimes(just placeholders show up usually) as someone else noted in another topic.

I think if the problem were my computer (maybe it is) it would be a consistent problem and not one that can be overcome with repetition of clicking.

I run Windows XP, I have also got Norton Firewall and Anti-Virus running. But like I said, I doubt that if these programs were stopping the reply function that they would just give in when I keep trying.

don't know

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Technology?!

Hi paul,

I have the first Hemi-Sync CD from the Monroe Institute (www.monroeinstitute.org) which is extremely overpriced. they use binaural beats just like Brainwave Generator. This means two different tones are put into your ears...one in the left and a slightly different one in the right. the idea is that the brain tries to bring them together and you hear a wavy sound. various frequencies of these beats are supposed to affect your brain patterns and can help you get into a different state of mind.

Hemi-sync, in the first few CD's at least, uses Robert Monroe's voice. he coaches you through some of the relaxation exercises. i personally cannot listen to his voice, or even his accent to be honest. so i dont use the hemi-sync stuff anymore...BUT i think you can download it with those filesharing programs.

brainwave generator does the same thing hemi-sync does, but it is a program (shareware) and you can control the binaural beats...plus there are presets (small programs you import) that give a whole range of perhaps 30 minute things to listen to...i believe you can get ones that do the same thing as Hemi-Sync...i  think i might have some. you can download it at (www.bwgen.com) but i think you have to pay something to get a fully functioning version.
you can also export them to .wav files and them convert them to MP3's (winamp can convert .wav files) and then burn them onto a CD to listen to away from the computer.

hope this helps.

hi there leviiathan,

i have had those off and on all my life. there are normal neurological reasons for their occurences in many cases. no, i cant remember exactly what those reasons are, but i am not a doctor alas. maybe hemi-sync can do it to you as it is supposed to affect the brain.

however there might be energetic reasons in your case.

i used to get bad leg spasms at night. yoga seems to have solved that for me, but there might have been underlying psychological reasons such as worry or stress.

but since twitching and spasming is not that uncommon (conscious or unconscious) i bet you are just fine. and if you ARE making it happen by thinking about it, try turning the energy of your will in a new direction like exiting.

just an idea, no expert here in me.

hi,

well i still have not astral projected out into the upper "realms" as it were, yet. but i do get flashes of the physical universe...you know, a flash of being above the couch in the living room, above plants outside. these usually are very vivid and electric, but extremely short-lived.

but these do not feel out of body in any way...i think (if anything) i am getting clairvoyant flashes. this must be the same kind of thing one sees when one starts doing Remote Viewing.

incidentally, i did kinda see the red and white surface of a planet when i was thinking about our nearest stellar neighbor. who knows!

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Matraya

Wow, we sure do have some conspiracy theories going on here!
haha.

all I can say for sure is what someone else said above, and that is that Maitreya is part of Buddhist lore, a sort of messianic figure.

Matraya, could be a Pali version of the Sanskrit name "Maitreya"...or more probably it is just a mispelling of the original.

But we can't really mix Maitreya with the anti-Christ as they are from two completely different religions...but some people might take advantage of the general public's lack of knowledge of Buddism and use that name to scare them.

But hey, what is this about the UN being "heavily involved in the New Age agenda" ? I could see people calling them "Utopian", but since New Age has so *many* agendas (aliens on earth, Mother Goddess etc) what exactly are you referring to?

PS. the president of CARE, which I believe is the International one and not just CARE USA, is Peter Bell...what a coincidence huh? Maybe he and Art are brothers in a dark, secret pact to take over the world!

hi,

that is indeed weird, can I assume you saw these things physically? I mean this was not an out-of-body sight was it?

I am not any sort of expert on this, but possibly you were seeing some kind of elemental...I have never seen these, but since you were on the beach maybe you were seeing spirits associated with water. Of course, you have to ask yourself whether they were insects or not I suppose.
