Is that what its like to take LSD? Awesome!!

I think we may be onto something guys! Hangovers definitely help induce OBE states!! Its true. I'm going to write a new book about it.

Hi! Would be interesting to see generally how people's occupations match with their spiritual attitudes. Do you expect most people who can astral project to be arty type people or logical people?

As for me, I grew up wanting to be a scientist, did engineering at Uni, now doing my chartered accountancy qualification with KPMG. I'm 25 years old.

I basically live a double life. One side of me focuses on business/finance issues but outside of work, I am far more interested in new age spiritual stuff. Weird combo eh?...

Would be nice to see who else is living in the UK. I live and work in London. Nice to meet you!

Hi Frank, are you the same Frank who wrote all those theories on phasing in the FAQ? Sorry I'm a newbie!

I have also tended to have astral projections after heavy nights out! Seems I'm not the only one! Perhaps I should start drinking more! lol

Hello friends! I aim to use this excellent board as a kind of diary for my astral experiences where I can get guidance from more knowledgeable posters here or for people to comment to give me tips or advice. I will log my experiences in the appropriate sections of the boards.

26/7/05

It was around 4-5am in the morning. The dream I was in before was a long one. It was essentially about my dad redecorating the house. He redid my room and I was really ticked off as he had converted my whole side wall into a big glass window where people could look in. I felt this was a complete violation of my privacy and I was furious! My room was also full of hundreds of small statue figures and hundreds of other different small items. There was barely any space in my room to even walk.  I was so upset I trashed the room and told him off. After he left, I went to sleep (in my dream!).

From here onwards, there came a point where I felt my mind awaken and I was in that sleeping state where I can feel those energy sensations which are tempting me to project. At this point, my mind was fully conscious and body asleep. I concentrated for a few minutes manipulating my energy trying to raise it. Maybe because I read this recently, but I concentrated on the mantra "ommmm...." in my mind whilst focusing on my third eye. I felt all these new sensations in my head, very weird ones which I can't quite remember. Then I was rising up and then out, there was definite separation this time in the real-time! However, I must have jumped straight to the astral planes or back into a dream. Right after separation, I could not see anything. Slowly but surely, a VERY vividly clear blue financial interactive data screen appeared, this was all I could see. I could see all this financial data from stock market and a clear female voice telling me instructions. It was like a futuristic interface like a game where there were buttons to talk to clients and set up meetings etc. It was like a future investment bank role. (I have a suspicion this must have been a lucid dream by now). I was concentrating trying to make sense of this when I felt the presence of an entity in the room.

It was distracting me as though someone had opened my room door and come in. And that I was on the brink of losing my focus of the projection. I turned towards to entity a little ticked off and it started harassing me in an uncomfortably kind of energy scaring way. Its appearance was that of different changing faces, of ugly men. I punched and kicked it in a distressed manner. I was feeling extremely emotional and vulnerable at this stage.

Then I thought, this could actually be my dad. I was thinking quite clearly (in one way or another) and questioned the entity if it was my dad. He replied, yes I am. Then the illusion stopped and I could see my dad in place of the horrible entity. I "effectively" woke up in my dream at this point. I was really angry with my dad for interrupting my projection, but I told him "I FINALLY projected out of my body!", "Don't ever come into my room when I'm projecting! Its dangerous!" It was very emotional. I told him that things get distorted in a projection. He said how did you know it was me? And I explained because I was thinking logically during the experience to remember that things get distorted. But I was happy too that he woke me up and that I could still remember the experience as it was a short one (Most beginners won't remember long ones). Then I leapt to my computer to jot it down. After writing for a while, I actually woke up properly!! And then I jotted down my experience (for seemingly the 2nd time). Dreams within dreams and false awakenings are a sure sign of 3rd eye activity.

Its 5:20am. I definitely knew something amazing had happened and I lay there for 2 minutes gathering my thoughts downloading the info into my brain working in backwards chronological order. I still feel quite cold with strong feelings of after-effects of a projection. I feel tingling energy all over and quite chilled to the bone. I am breathing quickly and my heart rate is fairly rapid.

Although this experience was quite nightmarish and emotional/stressful, it will not deter me from continuing...

No I haven't, life got busy with the new job and working life. After no more lazy university days, I didn't have any AP's or lucid dreams for almost one and a half years, but now I'm back!

My interest has risen back and I am determined to improve my energy raising skills and master AP'ing.

I will try and seek my guardian angel again in due course.

I used to follow a Tai Chi Master but I was much younger then and didn't appreciate the importance of energy "chi". He could do amazing things to his students such as put them into spasms or lose control simply by touching them. In hindsight, it would appear that he was disrupting their energy flows by injecting his own energy (much more powerful) into them.

Does anybody also practise Tai Chi and could elaborate on the amazing feats performed using chi?

I'm sure most yoga practitioners would not be experienced enough to feel the physical energy flows, but would be good to hear from anyone who has...

Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Would you like to know how to see into the girl's locker room as well? :)

I haven't had any success with Remote Viewing yet. Need to build up my energetic system first before I attempt more difficult activities!  :D

I have just browsed through that e-book again! The contents is truly astonishing!! I take it back, I am going to be practising for YEARS, not hours!!! I also have the answers to my earlier questions now. Thanks!
#37
I have lately been practising Robert Bruce's NEW energy raising techniques. Since it is possible to activate your own chakras and raise energy using your own body awareness and tactile imaging techniques, is it possible to activate somebody else's chakras just by concentrating your awareness on their chakras?

For example, would I be able to activate my girlfriend's root chakra and make her feel horny/energised by my own concentration?

Is it possible to for example work on energy centres of say a person sitting opposite you on a bus for them to feel something? (Even though I know this would be practically impossible to prove! lol)

Thanks for answering my noob queries, I'm learning fast though!
#38
Thank you very much Caco, that book is AMAZING and totally comprehensive!! I will be spending hours practising its contents for sure.

I realise that the root chakra is a more basic sexual energy which is distracting during energy raising and should be avoided. But since I'm a beginner, I was more happy with the fact I had actually finally felt very strongly the energy that I had raised. Other people who do yoga and stuff just say they feel good, but many have not ACTUALLY felt the energy in its pure form.

When you say it was a waste could you elaborate on this? Surely I can just build up the energy again tomorrow etc. Does doing tantric sex really require the prohibition of ejaculation for extended periods? eg: weeks?

I used to lucid dream a lot and even had a few astral projections. Recently, I have been getting back into the swing of things and really want to master astral projection.

I decided to go back to basics and learn about energetics / chakra points / raising energy etc. I have been using Robert Bruce's NEW energy techniques of tactile imaging.

I am a beginner at energetics although I have experienced energy buzzing etc through astral projection. Last night I was raising energy through the soles of my feet, and pulling it up my legs and into my sub naval chakra. I must have misjudged as part way through the night, my groin area was feeling REALLY good! I realised that I had activated and energised my root chakra by accident! This being the first time I experienced it, I thought oh well, and continued raising energy to this area. It felt like an intense swirling constant pulsation of sexual energy in my crotch (I am a guy), which was very pleasant to say the least. Enough to attract a succubus I thought at one point (I should be so lucky). Joking aside, I decided to sleep because I had barely had any sleep and was working early that morning.

I ended up having sexually orientated dreams and experienced a very intense wet dream! I have not had a proper wet dream for over 10 years so I immediately paid attention to my breakthrough in successfully raising energy using tactile imaging. I guess tantric sex involves redirecting that sexual energy up the other 6 chakra points for a full body experience. Something which will take months of training but something I am willing to take the time to do.

Does anybody ever do what I did for sexual pleasure? Has anyone experienced anything similar? I would love to hear about your experiences.

I will be posting more in the future as I have plenty to discuss! Thanks!

How can you tell if the entities you speak to during lucid dreams or astral projection are not figments of your subconsciousness? I have had some interesting conversations with entities, their responses are sometimes imaginative, witty or logical. Is this really me talking to my subconsiousness without even realising? Or were they really separate entities?

I am thinking next time to ask them how they can prove to me that they are not a figment of my imagination. It will be interesting to see their response! Has anybody done this before or have the same doubts?

Either way it is still fascinating to think that either I am conversing with seperate entities OR with my most inner self.

I've astral projected a few times before. But last night was quite annoying. Usually, there is a brief moment of weird sensation where your senses (apart from your physical touch) become hyper sensitive and you kinda hear the "winds" of the astral planes, and then soon after the vibrations usually kick in.

Well last night, that hyper sensitive stage kept coming over me like waves but no vibrations followed. I wanted just to sleep because it was in the middle of the night but no matter what sleeping position I used on my bed, the sensations kept coming back! I felt that my heart rate increased during this and hence could not fall asleep. This lasted for maybe an hour on and off!

Has anybody experienced this prolonged state before? Since this is the start phase of a projection, does anyone know what state the brain is in? (I was quite awake during this), maybe "Theta" stage. I want to use the brainwave generator to recreate these sensations.

Omg I can't believe it! I astral projected for the 2nd time in my life. I was at my University room in Bath having an afternoon nap. I remember lying still with my eyes closed, I thought I was very conscious and I imagined about the vibration feelings that I had last time. All of a sudden, huge vibrations were running through me! It just happens like this nowadays very spontaneously. Usually I cannot project because I am sleeping on my front, but this time, I was on my back. At first, I had trouble exiting because my left arm wasn't in a relaxed position. My palm was facing up and near my head instead of by my waist. So I managed to move my arm down to a better position. Normally this ruins the vibrations but this time they carried on.

I mentally willed myself to astral project and after seeing what I remember pure white and some loud noises, I felt myself floating upwards. I couldn't see anything. I wanted to make sure I was really free of my body before opening my astral eyes. At this point, I felt as though I was in my room in London on my bed. It did not occur to me or seem strange.
Possibly because my 1st projection occurred in that same room and I do practise a lot in there when I visit home. I have a lot of strong astral projection related emotions with that room. When I willed my eyes to open, I could see my London room. I must have somehow teleported instantaneously to that location. It was very dark and distorted but I could make out it was my room. Some angular distortion. I commanded there to be light and I could see some parts of the room much better, like I had a torch light.

Most of the room was dark, and some thoughts did run through my mind of there being a demon or something around. Fear was setting in, I had to rid this and made myself braver. I have been wanting to meet my guardian angel for a few months now. I called out for her and immediately, a shadow appeared from above and in front of me. Then a hand was extended and I took it.

I don't know how, but the next minute I was immersed in another world. It was much like Earth, and full of vivid detail. I was in human form and I could see my angel who was Chinese looking, about 5ft 8", average to pretty looking, big eyes, darkish complexion. She was leading me somewhere, I think her home. It was night time, we were walking along what appeared to be a University grounds campus and I could see accommodation above us on a hill. I was so excited all I could say was "I can't believe I finally did it and have met you!". She did not appear as excited as me. Although we chatted, I can only recall a few sentences. First thing I did was ask her name. She told me "Elisa". I was concentrating so hard on this name to remember that I didn't ask much else whilst walking. I also thought about keeping the projection short otherwise I would have trouble recalling. But I had come too far and wanted to carry on. She told me that "In this place, the nights are warm", and indeed, it was comfortably warm even though it looked as though it has just rained.

We climbed some stairs. She looked tired and sweaty. She told me she had just finished playing a sport. I could not recognize the name she said, possibly tennis was the impression I was left with. I was just about to ask her what she thought of my life but then I lost control and was whizzed back to my body.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I know something amazing had happened because like last time, my body felt cold and "chilled", with an after feel of faint "buzzing".

When I awoke, I rang my sister back in London to see if my room was dark. She replied that the curtains were closed, my door half open, but the landing lights were off, so it WAS very dark in my room!

I am very excited about this as you can imagine. But I want to meet her again to confirm that the projection did not convert into a lucid dream at some stage.

I am very interested to hear of your experiences regarding your guardian angel.

Have you met him or her yet?
Do they live normal lives just like us?
Are they evolved beings?
What is our connection with them?
How can she be looking over me if she is living her own life?
What did you learn from him/her?
Any thoughts about my experience?

Good stuff Tisha. It is a very idealistic and in-depth review. However, I think that for beginners, some parts are somewhat misleading. Notibably, the list for "fixing problems", the theory of Gentil Poverty, and the ample free time list. Although these are generally good advice for the normal person. They are not directly linked with achieving OBEs.

I personally have had OBEs when I have been ill, worried, stressed, etc... There are no fixed rules is all I'm trying to say.
#46
To be honest, I don't think that there would be much difference to OBEing in your bed. What you fail to realise is that the Earth itself is rotating and moving at 1180 kilometres/hr!!! Being stationary depends on what you are using as a reference. In a plane, your OBE would probably automatically keep up with your body in the airplane.

I have often pondered this interesting question myself, but it is too uncomfortable in economy class to attempt an OBE.

Sorry, but I thought your questions were more of a rhetorical nature. My questions are, how can you tell people you speak to within the Physical are not just figments of your subconscious? Or when you speak with a neighbour or a friend, for example, how do you know you are not just imagining it?

Yours,
Frank

You are trying to make the argument more complicated than is necessary. Since I can clearly differentiate when I am in the physical plane or not, having 23 years of experience, it is obvious that other people in the physical lead their own lives and are not a figment of my subconscious!! If I were imagining things, nothing would be consistent or logical!

But since I am not familiar with the astral plane or the lucid dream environment, I consider my question a valid one which can be answered in a logical way.

Hasn't ANYBODY ever asked this question to themselves b4!??

Welcome to Dreams! / prolonging lucid dreams.
April 16, 2003, 04:51:50
I have read about the spin technique but haven't managed to pull it off properly yet. Interesting technique you describe with the "Shhh" noise, I'll have to try that. The method I use to prolong lucid dreams is to focus and look at the palms of my hands. It is my personal trigger to "wake up" during the dream as it confirms 100% I am dreaming. If you look at your palm, you will see that your palm lines are completely random and not structured like in real life. Looking back at my palms every now and then keeps me focused in my dream. Last time I used this, I remember clearly looking at them at least 20 times, and that lucid dream lasted seemingly hours!! It was amazing!
