QuoteOne thing I liked that he said was you don't have to do anything "paranormal" to continue on with spiritual growth.  That was a common mistake I've made in the past - believing I had to become a wizard or the like to be "evolved".

I'm sure being a wizard wouldn't hurt though :) j/k

I have read the three books and they are very good. I am not going to say this theory is perfect because I don't know. Like he says, to know is to go there, and unfortunately I have just started my journey. More exploring is required on my part.

Maybe a more experienced ober has read the books.

Glad you liked it. It's a slow awakening within a small but growing group of people. I just hope the awakening happens before the entire human race destroys itself :). But like Tolle says "Being is the eternal, ever-present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death. However, Being is not only beyond but also deep within every form as its innermost invisible and indestructible essence."

I have been exploring consciousness with limited success for about a year now. I am making progress and I think the key is being able to properly meditate and clear the mind of thoughts. I was in a period of no activity for months and then I started meditating and became active again. Keep in mind that the normal physical state is a thinking brain that will not shut up.

You know, maybe the physical experience has us isolated from our source for a reason. :). It wouldn't mean much being physical if we all knew we were fundamentally not physical. So maybe we make is hard on ourselves as a "protection" mechanism.

I just finished reading Thomas Campbells books and he thinks the key is to purge ego and fear from your life. Eckhart Tolle says that you eliminate ego and fear by living totally in the present moment and drawing from past and future only when needed for practical reasons.

There are so many texts available that point to a truth, get out there are explore.

Hello Folks,

I found the following videos very interesting so I have posted them on my blog for your viewing pleasure. It's refreshing to see a physicist acknowledging the astral planes.

http://www.malleablelight.net/videos/thomas-campbell/

I wish everyone a happy new year and the best of luck with your explorations of consciousness.

I hope this post doesn't make Emmy jealous, but for the sake of consciousness research I must write.

I fell asleep at around 11:30 PM last night and as I fell asleep I tried to clear my mind by observing thoughts without becoming attached to them. Around 5 AM I woke up and ran to the bathroom and then came back to bed and began trying the same techniques in an attempt to astral project. I was tired and my mind was not really coherent so I started trying to push thoughts away. I realized what I was doing and then began allowing my thoughts to drift in without resistance. I was surprised at some of the random thoughts that were entering my mind.  For example a fleeting thought of a specific trip to McDonald's with my Dad when I was a small child entered my head. These thoughts came and went for 10 minutes or so and during this time frame vibrations were felt several times.

Around 5:30 AM I felt the sensation of myself being bouncing around inside my body. I knew what this was because it's happened before so I envisioned myself violently bouncing back and forth and within couple of seconds I felt a release and I floated up into the ceiling and things went completely black. I suspected that I was stuck in the ceiling so I thought about standing in my backyard and as I did I felt movement as I drifted from the roof area of my house down into the backyard.

While I was standing in the yard I had full waking consciousness. I knew my name, address etc. I knew that I was either asleep, in some altered state of consciousness or in another reality. I stood there for a minute and let it all soak in. My quality of perception was very good this time and the quality of vision and my senses was superb, equal to or better than waking life.

I looked around and the first thing that came to mind was that I needed to validate and collect evidence. This is where reality fluctuations came into play. I had the idea of floating over to my neighbors house and looking around inside. The idea was that if I ever go inside her house I might be able to identify something I saw in this state. I probably need to rethink my methods of validation.

I floated over to this window that doesn't really exist in waking life (reality fluctuation) and I pressed my head against the screen in the window (another reality fluctuation, it's too cold for open windows). Inside I could see her getting a small girl ready for school. She glanced over in my direction at one point but she didn't seem to notice me there. I was at the window for about a minute and then things shifted.

I found myself standing on the front porch of a house with her on the street I grew up on as a child. She was tinkling off the front porch in an attempt to put out a cigarette that she had just thrown on the ground. This was all to funny for me so I asked her if she could see me? She nodded and said yes.  I laughed out loud and asked her "You know you are in my dream, right?". She didn't really answer, either she was a dream character or she was just drifting in unconsciousness, it's hard to say.

She took off running towards the house where my dad lives and jumped into this truck that I have never seen before. This is the part Emmy will like. I jumped in behind her and asked her if she wanted to have sex just to see how she would respond. She agreed to this, but as we started undressing darkness faded in and I found myself back in bed. I question my level of lucidity at this point because I know that I would not cheat in waking life.

I lost lucidity because in my mind I really thought I was awake, but I should have known that I wasn't because someone out back was mowing the lawn. It's unlikely that someone would be mowing the lawn at this time of year and at this time of morning. Still this wasn't enough to make me realize that I was sleeping and the dream continued for about another hour before I finally woke up and wrote this.

The conclusion here is that I was either in the RTZ with extreme reality fluctuations or I was having a lucid dream. Either way I had full waking consciousness. Emmy, you have my permission to have dream sex with anyone that you want.

Seriously though, you create your own demons. Thoughts create reality. I tend to always play out worse case scenarios in my head "all the time" and it literally bleeds over into my life and especially dreams sometimes.

I am pretty good and not letting dreams bother me and can actually wake up quite cheerful even though 8 out of 10 dreams I have are all out nightmares. I have dreams of nuclear holocausts, mass murders, people being tortured in basements, women being raped and chopped up, kids being kidnapped and killed, the feeling of evil around me, being paralyzed, drowning, being shot, people dying in terrible car wrecks, and the list goes on.

Last night was no exception as I dreamed of this woman who was a serial killer and who had been killing people in her house for years by cutting small pieces of their brains out a little at a time while slowly killing them. Then later I had a dream of some poor guy getting stabbed to death in a bus in Canada. Then another dream of my wife and I weeping 5 years after our child went missing (no she is not missing in real life).

My paranoia causes this stuff, not "demons". I need to work on it, plain and simple. That's how you expel the so called "demons". Now if you are seeing chairs fly around the room, I would like to see that, post some videos for us all to see.

I am able to go from a lucid dream to the RTZ very easily, but this was not always the case. It took several months of becoming lucid and trying before it actually happened. My intent was always the RTZ.

I simply set the intention throughout the day and during the lucid dream that I want to be OBE and normally the dream will end and I will find myself laying in bed in vibrations. When I set the intention I simply think about the end result non verbally (like in images). Once I am in vibrations the roll out to the side technique seems to work best for me. I have used mantras too while falling asleep stating my intent. There are so many different methods, just keep trying and you will eventually get what you want.

Thanks for posting and keep it up.

It's been awhile since I posted, but I figured I would get back into the "astral pulse" by responding to this topics which just happens to be one of my favorite parts of OBE, skepticism! :). Below is my personal beliefs based on my personal observations and the study of others.

I watched this new NOVA documentary last week called "What Are Dreams?". I was hoping that it would try to explain what dreams are scientifically and how this is connected to our soul, but instead it explained nothing. Seriously, deep down inside I knew what to expect from NOVA, which is precisely nothing. Science has a tendency to ignore anything that doesn't immediately fit inside the neat little scientific box. Scientists have problems thinking beyond science and using their imagination and then thinking backwards from what's imagined to merge with or create a new science. This is why I have been very irritated with science lately.

A good example would be radio waves. Before they were discovered I am absolutely sure people would have denied their existence if a person who had knowledge of them had brought them up.

I started successfully inducing OBEs at will about a year or so ago after my friend sparked the interest. I would like to point out that prior to this I had not experienced this state of mind since being small child. It was only after I started inducing them that I actually began to remember my childhood experiences. The reason I bring this up is because I see scientific publications that make claims that OBEs are simply epileptic seizures which suggests that I can induce epileptic seizures at will, how odd. This illustrates my point that sometimes a "new" science must be created around a "new" phenomenon because new experiences at times don't fit into any known science.

It's been a while since I've written because I have had zero lucid dreams or astral projection type experiences lately (mind has been preoccupied). I am very serious about recording only true experiences objectively. Meaning that I must have waking consciousness while my body sleeps or is in a trance for it to qualify for an entry on here and I must describe only what I experienced without filling in the gaps. Most of the time when I perceive myself as being "out of body" I can recall my name, address or any "waking" thoughts and I know that I'm asleep. Many times I can look at myself sleeping in bed and then move around in what appears to be my house. None of this means that I am actually "out of body" and at this point I have no evidence to draw any definitive conclusions. More validation will be required to truly understand what's going on. However, I will continue to call them "out of bod experiences" until my perception suggests otherwise. Similarly I will continue to call myself David until something proves that i am George.

I would like to point out my observation that being objective doesn't necessarily have to mean being actively connected and receiving input from the five waking senses.  I apologize for the lack of a reference but I have read that the waking mind and the five senses can only process a small percentage of the information that's actually hitting the senses and being sent to the brain at any given moment.  It's my current belief that while a person is having an "out of body experience" they are not using the five senses and instead they are using a direct type of input, bypassing the senses. I would not then conclude that this type of experience would be any less objective than a waking experience, especially considering that fact that in these out of body states I have access to all waking memories and functions, even if the direct input is mimicking the five senses. Let us not be tricked into assuming that such altered states of conscious are any less real or objective than waking consciousness.

It's my belief at present that the physical mind does dream in the physical each night in parallel to perhaps a infinite number of projected doubles that operate independently to the the sleeping physical mind. I think that the physical brain can also be awake and deep into trance while the projected doubles explore. According to Robert Bruce, the physical brain being awake is critical to successfully downloading and remembering the experiences of the projected doubles when the reintegration with the physical takes place.

In conclusion it's possible that the all of this is happening in the physical brain only, but I have not seen any convincing evidence that this is the case (especially from NOVA). It seems to me that most science is completely dismissing the possibility of a soul. When I am completely in contact with all of my waking memories and thoughts and I perceive that I am "out of my body" and science gives me no data to support that I am not "out of body" why I would I then conclude that I am not "out of body"? This would be like being awake and saying "everything that I am seeing is just in my head!". Now stop and think about that for a second, perhaps you need to define what you mean by "in your head".

Thanks everyone, I will keep trying.

Hey, I have been reading Astral Dynamics more and have tried your suggestion CFTraveler along with the techniques in the book and I am not seeing any results at all.

I don't plan on giving up, but do you have any other suggestions?

QuoteWhy do you still work if the universe brought you more money than you will ever need?

When did I say that the universe brought me more money than I will ever need? You've used my statement out of context. What I stated above was a hypothetical situation in response to "Seriously though unless you have money to burn you're far better off making your own device -- cheaper and more powerful."

The universe has however brought me what I need and that's all I have ever asked for. I work in the computer industry because it's my passion which happens to be the catalyst the universe uses to bring me what I need.
#41
QuoteHow did you get the universe to bring you money?

Did you use something like this?

Attract Wealth With Radionics

No. The universe was bringing me money way before I owned radionics. I just used the laws of attraction.

QuoteI think generally spoken Orgonite negates the need for these electronic devices Weltz created but I could be mistaken.

Orgonite does not negate the need for electronic devices because Orgonite is only an accumulator. The electronic devices are generators and can create enough chi to effect multiple people at once. For example I am at a meeting at work and run a trend on 5 people at once to create the desired outcome. There's the benefit.

FYI :).. His name is Karl Welz not Karl Weltz. Weltz sounds like something you find on your body after being cracked by a bullwhip.
#42
QuoteYes... I'm not trying to knock your purchase, it looks like a nice device. If money is what you want to use it for I guess it doesn't matter.

:). I didn't purchase any of my devices. I used the law of attraction and the universe brought me them as well, for free.
#43
QuoteSeriously though unless you have money to burn you're far better off making your own device -- cheaper and more powerful.

The truth of the matter is that if you take this stuff seriously then:

RADIONICS (my Rad5) works on the three basic principles of magick:

1. Target (Me)
2. Will (Money)
3. Energy (Rad 5)

Money is no longer an issue because the universe just brought me more than I will ever need.

I think that the astral planes were created by some guy living in a trailer in Alabama. My point is, everyone has their own idea's about what created "this" but nobody really knows.

Let's say for example I die as I am typing and I end up in front of this being that seems to be all powerful and this being tells me all of the secrets of the universe and creation. What happens next? I will start thinking about what created "this" again. I am not going to listen to them any more than I do anyone else that tells me that they definitively know what created everything.

Be cautious of people who say that know things for sure and welcome those that share their opinions.

The rollout technique normally works the best for me. I seem to be a natural at it. I just roll out of bed to the side like I normally would in waking consciousness and usually find myself standing beside the bed.

Have you tried this technique?

DerekG,

You were attacked by a demon. :) Just Kidding..

Next time this happens just calmly observe what's happening. based on everything I have read and everyone I have talked to about the subject, it's very unlikely that anything will harm you while you are int his state.

When I had sleep paralysis as a child I was terrified of it and struggled against it, always sensing a evil presence associated with it. When I began to research AP I realized that my mind was most likely creating the fear and the presence. Lately I have been able to use sleep paralysis to achieve several very interesting out of body states and found that if I didn't fight the experience I had more control and was able to move into my other bodies.

Think of it like chinese handcuffs and go with it instead of against it.

Hi tiatto,

Binaural beats do work. I use them all the time but I use the Hemi-Sync and brain-Sync flavors. What I am not certain of (because you didn't provide enough detail) is if the claims they made are valid. I would be leery of any person or group claim that guarantees success at anything "especially" AP. AP is still very much in the realm of the "unknown".

What the tracks actually do is put your brain into a states that are more conducive to AP. This doesn't mean that you magically achieve AP by listening , it just means that it may take less time and practice to get there (not proven).

Here is a small excerpt from the folks over at Brain-Sync:

QuoteOne of the key benefits of Brain Sync is that it acts like a brain driver for your mind. Precision engineered sound waves balance right and left hemispheres of your brain to produce a state known as “hemispheric synchronization.” This remarkable state of consciousness facilitates access to a wide variety of peak performance brain states. As you listen, your brain wave activity will become more coherent and organized, you’ll feel relaxed yet lucid. Find out for yourself – listen and learn with this binaural MP3 demonstration. Plug in your headphones and take a fascinating audio tour!

What Are Brain Waves?

Brain waves – represented by those squiggly lines on an EEG monitor – show the speed at which neurons fire. Each time a neuron fires, an electro-magnetic spark of energy is released, setting off a chain reaction among other neurons. The speed of the connection correlates to the speed of the frequency. For example, Beta brain waves (associated with alertness) oscillate at a much faster speed than Delta waves, which are associated with sleep. Discover more about each of the brain states Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta. More about our “Brain Driver” Programs

Brain Wave Therapy can easily guide you directly into beneficial states of consciousness where both hemispheres are balanced and brain activity is organized and coherent. Our harmonically layered frequencies drive brain activity into a wide variety of states such as Gamma for heightened awareness and precognition, Beta for concentration, Alpha for creativity and relaxation, Theta for learning, memory and meditation, and Delta for sleep and healing. With this technology, you can leverage the powers of your mind-body connection to attain optimal mental and physical performance. More
Clinically Proven

First discovered by biophysicist Gerald Oster at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, brain wave audio technology sends pure, precisely tuned sound waves of different frequencies to your brain via stereo headphones. QuoteIs it really worth that much? What results have you had?

I guess this depends on what you place the most value on in your life and how much money you make. My answer to the first question is yes it's worth that much.

I am not going to go into personal testimonials because it's too easy for people to just dismiss it as fiction and I know from life experience that the only person who ever proved anything to me was myself. I will testify that my plants stay green even in the 106 Texas heat and that alone is worth $5000.00. :)

Hi Timandra,

I have actually been experimenting with Orgonite for about a year now and it is valid based on my own personal observations and validations. Many will argue it's validity but I challenge them to do their own tests and validations before making remarks.

I have a Performer and a Rad5 which both incorporate Orgonite and actually generate an orgone field.

I have placed the orgone transfers by plants i have at home and have seen very exciting results. I have run trends on myself and family members and have brought very positive change into my life.

Depending on your vibrational state you may not have been in you real time body which would be the body that would see a mirror of waking life. You most likely were still in bed but you were seeing through your astral eyes rather than your real time or expanded etheric body.

This response was based on the opinions of Robert Bruce.
