those creatures sound quite interesting.
Do you have any more information or links?

My wireless network has been a little eratic recently.
Wouldnt like to say whether or not the solar eruption was the cause though
#28
Was the phone off the hook? My phone emits a loud siren sound when i don't put it back properly.

No im not a hacker. Too lazy to be a hacker[:)]

I guess that you would probably see just the electrical signal. It would give anyone a serious headache trying to translate that into something meaningful without a computer.

I can't see it being very interesting. The actual inner workings of the internet are actually very boring.
Sorry, im a computer science student. Unless packets and binary are are your think then i doubt you would find it even vaguely interesting.

I think pride is needed to a degree. For example, taking pride in your work often leads to an improved standard of whatever it is you are doing.

I couldn't tell you what is good with patriotism though.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / The drunk thread

I tend to post more when i am drunk.
Its probably difficult to tell if i am though since my posts are always fairly incomprehensible.
Funny the way it seems to sound alright in my mind before i post it, then i read it afterwards and think what the **** was i on about.

Being a Uni student I can be drunk antime[:)]
as long as i have a nice supply of dark rum

I normally find that i lose track of time.
Last time i only meant to be 20 mins but i actually ended up coming back to reality after about an hour.

It seems to me that some people join groups and just use them for gang warfare. (i.e. im in this religion, your in a different one, therefore i'll beat you up.)
This happens with sports too. I think football hooligans only support teams because it puts them in a 'gang' and they think it justifies them attacking someone in a different 'gang'.
#35
actually i though it was quite funny[:O]
#36
lol[:D]try the link now!

threatened legal action[:D]

Quite funny though

The way you write "and he can be called 'Son of God'" sounds almost as though the spirit is trying to get the wording right. Aren't we all God's children in the eyes of the church? And as for being a lord, aren't there all sorts of people in various positions of power in the world?
Could it not simply be that Jesus was just an ordinary human king?  The spirits wording doesn't appear to show otherwise.

well if they keep that up, the male superiority isnt going to last long. The females will end up being stronger and fitter[:D]

I never really got into Final Fantasy. I have 7 and 8 for PS but I found them boring and iritating. The randomly occuring battles got me really ticked off. It cant have been just that though because i loved Grandia.

My favourite RPGs have got to be Ultima 3,4 and 7. and Baldurs Gate 2.

Strangely carrot never entered my mind until i read it.
I thought cabbage.

I actually thought banana first but silly me[:)], should have read the question properly

Ive only read a little of this book so far.

The bit about the probability of a house building itself being zero is wrong IMO. A cave could be a house, there are a lot of them around, they are natural, and some of them are more servicable than a lot of human built homes. therefore a house can build itself..

I have had a dream where i was floating around my house. Although to fly i was flapping my arms[:D] and couldnt fly though walls or see myself asleep. Im sure that there were some friends with me too.

Ive only dreamt about this once though. It was a long time ago, before i knew about AP.

I dont understand how, when the truth of the bible is bought into question, people can use quotes from the bible as arguements in favour?
surely that kinda destroys the point of sensible debate

I understand what he was getting at, but the way he said it just made me laugh.
If something sounds silly, then it is just going to destroy the moment.
I think that the language used is important with keeping people concentrating on the cd. For example if a voice suddenly says "imagine that your feet have turned into 10 foot high blue rubber ducks and floated off into the distance" this would seriously cause me to lose my concentration and probably make me laugh.

I did think that the language used on the 10 min tune up from brain sync, seemed perfect though.

just tried downloading something from kazaa to give me an idea of what meditation music is like, to see whether it is worth buying any.

got this annoying guy: -
"breathe in 1,2,3,4,5     breathe out 1,2,3,4,5"
im thinking 'shutup, you are putting me off', then the next bit
"breathe in through your ankles"
had me in hysterics. what kind of a moron would think that he could breathe through his ankles?[:D]

Tried the 10 minute tune up thing from the Brain Sync site - excellent, have to think about getting some. I just wanted to stay at the stage where you imagine a calm lake with mountains etc. forever[:)]

I try to get into the habit of only discussing things with people if they are likely to be interested.

I don't really care who knows, but im not going to talk about it if they arent going to be listening.

This is probably the reason why i have a wide range of friends (interest wise). I'll talk sports to the sporty people, computers to computer people etc.
None of my friends will disown me for being interested in this sort of stuff, but probably would avoid me if went on and on about it.

My parents arent bothered either. Could be something to do with having particularly unreligeous family and friends.

Anyway, thats my experience:)

First time i have read this thread.
I don't doubt that that a device like the HDR could help to induce an obe, but the schematics on the site are hillarious. Looked to me like someone has managed to succesfully breed a static electricity generator and a lightbulb[:D].

I kinda chanced across this method (never heard of it until just now)while doing some sort of mind clearing meditation.
The way i reach the vibrations is just by concentrating on not thinking. I normally get the the state where i begin feel the vibrations very quickly (5-10 mins) but more often than not my mind ends up wandering without me realising.
I dont really focus on the brain but i do end up feeling a sort of tightness around the spot on the forehead where the third eye is supposed to be and somewhere right in the middle of the brain slightly towards the back.

Ive not managed to project yet. although its really only for the last week or two that i have been trying.

ok. been a rubbish week so far.
Got startled out of the trancelike state 4 times so far.
3 times by my drunk and noisy housemate
once by my mobile phone beeping loudly to tell me that the battery is running low.
After I get startled out of the state i always seem to find it hard to get back in.

Trying again tonight but ive had a couple triple rum and cokes so im certainly not expecting anything.
