I agree, what you describe are all signs of depression. Basically it seems you have lost the desire to do things, everything feels a huge effort and I bet you haven't felt happy, really happy in a long time.

A applaud you that you wrote here and had the courage to face the situation. That's the hard part which sadly many depressed people can't do, and many times those people end up killing themselves. You may think that it's not that bad, but I feel it is. If suicide has come to mind, even for a second, then that is a warning sign that something is really wrong.

But please don't blame yourself, and add to the problem. What you need to do now is pull yourself out of your situation. Or using another words pull you up, because you are in a really low vibratory state right now.

It won't be easy, but this is something you MUST do! If there is someone who can help you to get back "out there", then ask for help. Ask someone to come over and go to a walk, or to a movie anything to get you out and going places.

This might sound hard, but it won't be if you start small. But you must start right NOW!

It won't get any easier the more you wait. On the contrary it will get harder and harder. Every time you give in to that "low feeling" it gets stronger and you get weaker. These low feelings may be neg influences which try to bring you down, so fight them with everything you have! Your life may depend on it.

Try this little meditation now, and do this every time you feel the "low feeling" is getting closer:

In your mind or aloud think of something spiritually high, like God, "Angels of light" or whatever you feel comfortable with, and say something like:

"I call for Angels of Light!"

"Please come to me and cleanse me with your divine light"

"Fill me with your love and drive away any negativity that resides within me"

"I call for divine Light, please enter my body and give me strength"

"I am filled with Light"

You can say anything along those lines, as long as you are addressing high sources.

While you say/think these words, feel that White shining light is pouring down through your head and it fills your whole body. Breathe slowly and deeply while doing this, really seeking the feeling of light filling you and making you better. Repeat those lines and feel the light filling you as long as it takes to make you feel better. It doesn't have to take more than 10 seconds, or you can do it 20 minutes if you feel like it. But please do it.

Now if there are some negs involved in this, then they will start to fight you on this, saying things like "This is rubbish, don't do it" or "You have better things to do that that" or "It won't work anyway". That is sure sign that they are afraid and try to convince you otherwise. Don't listen to them. Do this and you will feel better.

After you do this meditation take the next step, take care of yourself. Take a bath and change into clean clothes. This will raise your vibration also.

Then take care of your surroundings: Open the curtains and let the light in through the windows. Ventilate your apartment and lastly clean your house. You don't have to do these all in one day, but do at least some of them now and show those negs that you are in control again. These steps will raise the vibration of your home, and that will have strong effect on your own vibration level.

The next step is to get out of your house. Take a walk, or go somewhere with someone you know. Any physical exercise would be great, if there is something you can do. Physical exercise releases endorphins and that is a powerful antidote to depression. But simple walk in the park gives good results also, you get fresh air, bright light and exercise. All these things again raise your vibration, which is what we are aiming here at.

OK this is getting really long post, so I stop here. I hope you will do that meditation right now and take one step at a time to get back being happy. Believe me it's worth it.

Nostic might very well be right. Anton1 might be here just to provoke us. If so then we should just ignore him. But in any case here's my comments, because his claims made me smile.. :)

1. anton1 claims that we are uneducated when just the opposite is probably true. There has been studies done on people who are interested in spiritual matters. The result was that their IQ was above average. anton1 makes his claim based on few lines from internet.

2. anton1 claims that we are weak minded. Here too just the opposite is true. To project you have to have strong mind, otherwise you can't hold the delicate mind state which is required to project. If you have weak mind, you will fall asleep trying. anton1 can try this himself and see if it's easy.

3. anton1 claims that the card check test won't work and that if we try it, we will fail and that will burst our little bubble. Well, as many of you know, that is the exact test we are encouraged to take, so we can prove to ourselves projecting is real. Many have done this test and succeeded. It's strange that anton1 came up with this exact same test to taunt us...maybe he has read Bruce's work..

anton1 basically thinks we are all weak minded, stupid people who imagine these fantasies because we can't face reality and want to live in a la-la-land. I can see his point if he has never had any "supernatural" events happened to him. It's natural that if you haven't seen something then it's hard to believe in such things, especially when the scientific community doesn't take these things seriously.

So, anton1 I say you this: you can believe what you will, it's your right. But you are a man who hasn't seen something and you try to convince a group of people who HAVE seen it. So you see, you have no hope succeeding. All you can hope to accomplish is to provoke some feedback(which you have done very well).

You have two choices, you can keep your eyes shut or you can open them and see for yourself. Of course if you like to live in a box where everything is born, then it suffers for awhile and then it dies, then be my guest! But if you have the courage to see if there really is something outside the box..well
I don't think you will, but I hope that maybe someday you will.

Don't believe anything blindly, that's not very smart move, but don't dismiss anything blindly either, that's plain stupid!

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / How to
January 17, 2005, 14:06:03
Well, I don't want to discourage you, but for some people it will take months even years to learn it. But I've also heard that some people can do it the first time they try. So don't be disappointed if it doesn't work right away.

That tingling sensation is energy movement and is step in the right direction. Now you should at least read Roberts treatise on astral projection if you haven't already:

http://www.v-j-enterprises.com/rbastral.html

This Treatise gives valuable information what to expect when you first do it and how to do it.

And if it doesn't work right away then training is what is needed, especially deep, DEEP relaxation without dropping off to sleep is a must skill, which might take some time to learn.

Welcome to the forums!

Usename, I read your posts and I strongly feel that you are not the one to blame for these "accidents". Your situation resembles that which Robert describes in his book "Practical psychic self defense". I recommend that you get this book and read it ASAP!. You obviously are gifted spiritually, but what worries me is that you also seem to have strong negative entities around you. According to Robert it's those negative entities which cause those accidents to happen to other people. I believe they use you to harm other people. They "help" you to feel these strong negative emotions towards other people and then when you think negatively about some person, they use it as excuse to launch a psychic attack against that people and the rest you know.

Now that you started to seek help from here they saw this as threat to their agenda, so this neg came to you trying to scare you off from here, so that you wouldn't stop being their puppet. They need you  because they need some kind of reason to attack someone. You are their excuse to hurt other people.

Don't let them scare you! Get the book and drive them away. Or at least learn to control your thoughts so that they can't use your thoughts as excuse to hurt other people. If you no longer serve them, they will eventually leave.

This question has always been unclear to me...Robert wrote somewhere that dreaming is internal projection but it is also said that when we sleep we go to astral plane. So is dreaming internal or external phenomenon? Or can it be both?

Also, when you see your friend in astral who is dreaming, how do you get inside their dream to wake them? Do they have a bubble around them, inside which their dream is playing out?

If you mean things you should or shouldn't do while astral projecting, then there aren't any. It's the same as in physical life, you can do "bad" things if you choose to do so. It comes down to what your morals are.

I personally believe in karma, not as punishment, but a law of nature. It's like throwing a stone in the air, it will come down because of gravity, another law of nature, not because it's punishment for throwing it in the air. Another way of looking at karma would be this: imagine you are in a center of huge cobweb. Now every time you move, you make ripples or waves to this web. When the wave hits some other object in the web part of it is reflected back at you.

I think the wave example might be pretty close to reality, because everything is energy in vibration. Everything you do and think sends a vibration out in the universe, and eventually it is reflected back at you.

I had a similar experience many years ago. I was sleeping with my left hand under the pillow(i was on my stomach). My hand started to tingle but I didn't move as I was trying to project. After a while I checked if I could move my fingers, and they did. What was strange was how light they felt so I decided to lift my head and check my hand. First i looked at my hand which was lying on the bed, then I lifted my middle finger and behold I saw my astral finger rising from inside the physical one. They both looked the same, so basicly I had 2 middle fingers for awhile! Seeing the astral one freaked me out, so I jumped and messaged my hand to make it "whole" again.

This was interesting experience because I too was wide awake when it happened, and it did prove to me the existence of astral body. Well I believed in it's existence, but as the saying goes, seeing is believing.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / James Randi - Why?
December 17, 2004, 07:04:19
I found your post very coherent and clear. I also agree with you completely here, I see Randi just like you do, and it's sad that so many people take him seriously.

Well, you can't change the world, only yourself.

And you are not a skeptic in my books, you are a seeker of truth, because you find things out.

Mr. Bruce told in some interview that he thinks schizophrenia is caused by astral body misalignment. The symptoms are so much alike. So it might be that because of your injuries you are "loose" in your body and could be diagnosed as schizophrenic by a psychologist.

In a way you have new set of eyes, because you have a broader perspective now. Those events have broken down some of your conceptual filters, which we all have, so that now you can access more of the reality. In a sense you simply see more.

Closed minded skeptic is a person who has a very narrow perspective and very limiting filters.  He sees only what he want's to see.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / James Randi - Why?
December 07, 2004, 16:42:25
I think that these things happened to you on purpose, getting more and more difficult to just ignore so that finally you just had to notice them.

I've had one such eye opener in my youth, and that's where my searh began. All I can say is that looking things from your new perspective is more interesting than the way you used to be. You may have lost the ability to laugh at these things, but would you go back the way you used to be if you could? I think not.

Do you have friends who are still closed minded skeptics? If you do, then what do they think of you now?

Gongratulations migs! I wish Randi was like you..and all the other closed minded skeptics too. How on earth did you come to your senses? Because in my books that's bordering a miracle! Did something personal happen to you that made you open your mind to new possibilities?

Yep, that's right, learn things yourself and only then you really KNOW. After that you have crossed over to the other side, and then you have to start telling other people that "you don't know for sure If you don't do it yourself"..and so it goes.

The problem with telekinesis and other stuff however is that if you don't believe it at all, then it's pretty sure that you won't be able to do it..so open mind and practice! If I can do it then so can everyone else!

It's a bit like doing a handstand, few can do it, but everyone can learn it if they put the time and practice into it, for some it takes longer than others but it can be done.

And about the proof stuff..it's funny, when you do it yourself and all the little bits of doubt blow away..then you have no more need to prove it to anyone. You know it and it doesn't move you in the slightest if someone says "it's impossible". It's like when someone says that there is no such thing as a monkey, because they haven't seen it! Not seeing something is a poor proof that something doesn't exist. And to someone who believes strongly enough that something is impossible no proof is enough. They can always say that it was a hallucination or a trick or anything, because it just can't be real in their minds. They have put such filters on that only the pieces that they allow can be seen. Sad but true.

It's interesting to see how science starts to come closer to the spiritual teachings. It reminds me of one channeled material in which it stated something along these lines:

"..and when the scientists dig deep enough to the quantum physics, then they will find god staring back at them under their microscope"

The holografic universe article reminded me of this, because it said that even the tiniest parts are just miniatyre versions of the whole.

The channeled article also stated that all roads lead back to god, so it really doesn't matter if you are a scientist or a mystic. It's just a different perspective of the same thing. I myself like the mystic way more, because there you can experience things firsthand and you don't have to buy a gigantic telescope or install a particle accelerator to your living room..

Consider what scientists knew 500 years ago. I believe they thought they knew just about everything.

How far has science come since then? How many barriers we have broken that science said was impossible? I believe that now scientists (or the really wise ones) are only starting to realize just how little they know.  The exploration of the outside world is ultimately seeking God from within.

That's what happened to Hitlers scientist when Hitler gave them an assignment: "Get me proof that there is no God!", said Hitler to the scientists.

They failed the assignment because they found God.

I don't know if this story is true, but it was told to me by our history teacher many years ago. If it's true then you can be sure they tried their best..

Lately, and also few times in the past, I've been attacked while sleeping. This usually happens about once a week.

The attack happens when I'm starting to wake up from dream, or starting to fall into one. You know in that "between" state. What happens is that I find myself paralysed, while somebody is on me hitting me, biting me, on me trying to rip me apart, or doing some other nice thing. At this point I become angry and want to kick "his" butt, but since I'm paralysed, I can't do anything. While I try to move and fight back, I wake up and that's the end of that. This is really annoying because why do they have to attack me just when I'm helpless! (If only I could project at will..)

I haven't noticed any negative side effects. It's just infuriating when it happens.

So I just wanted to know if anyone else has had similar experiences.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Seeing my aura?
February 24, 2003, 16:28:55
Try this:

1. Dim the lights slightly in the room, open notepad(in windows) with new document and resize it to full, so that you have plain white backround.

2. Position yourself about 0.5-1 meter away from the monitor and bring your hands between you and the monitor. Your palms should be facing you with fingers pointing to each other so that there is about 2cm gap between fingers. Fingers of same hand should also be apart. You should be in a position like you were hugging a tree.

3. Move your arms slowly up and down, so that when right hand goes up, the left hand goes down and vice versa. Range of motion shouldn't be too wide. Move one hand about 5cm up and at the same time the other 5cm down.  Keep moving hands back and forth and keep looking at the fingertips as they move. Don't stare intensily, just gaze at them softly. Do this at least a minute and tell me what you see.

Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Reiki

Does anyone know anyone who has higher vision and has seen reiki-energy. I would like to know if they have witnessed how it comes into body and goes through. Maybe Robert? There is some controversy on this so visual confirmation would be nice.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Seeing Auras
September 24, 2003, 05:50:43
I'm not very good at seeing auras, but this method gives me results.
Try this:

1. Dim the lights slightly in the room, open notepad(in windows) with new document and resize it to full, so that you have plain white backlit backround.

2. Position yourself about 0.5-1 meter away from the monitor and bring your hands between you and the monitor. Your palms should be facing you with fingers pointing to each other so that there is about 2cm gap between middle fingers.

You should begin to see white creamy like "string" going from one finger to the opposite one. Move your hands around and watch as the "strings" stretch as your hands move.

Tell me if you see more that just the white creamy stuff.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / The Movie "the Ring"

Ok, could someone tell me why was the tape made in the first place? Who made it(mother?) and why did it kill anyone who watched it?

I think they couldn't come up with logical answers to all questions..well it's just a movie, so why bother.

Parmenion, don't beat yourself up! I know I have been sure of a lot of things, just to find out later that I was wrong. And if there's someone out there who can say "I'm never wrong!", then he just doesn't know, or doesn't want to acknowledge the fact that he could be wrong. It takes certain amount of character to admit being wrong. Maybe that's why saying sorry is so hard.

This whole fight between creationists and evolutionists is..well..sad.

One says that God created everything and evolutionary thinking is
from Satan, because it negates the existence of God or at least it is not the word of Bible(which in their minds is absolute truth).

The other states that scientific research has shown that this is the way species have come to be, and this God thing is naive thingking from dark ages when we didn't know better. (And at the same time their theories are full of holes, which they don't even want to acknowledge)

Evolution and God...why can't there be both?

If you believe that you are a soul, and your purpose is to learn and reach higher, let's say towards God, then that's evolution in my book. One could say that the whole purpose of existence is evolution.

Of course you guys meant the beginnings of life here on earth..well I believe that there is always evolution involved to some extend, but originally life was planted here and helped along with genetic engineering from time to time(You know those evolutionary jumps that scientists talk about). This would explain how there can be so "evolved" creatures here even though the time frame is so narrow.

So where is God?

Everywhere!

On this question we come down to the definition of God. If God is to you a bearded man sitting on a cloud watching us, then maybe it seems as though he is not doing much. But if God is everything then everything that happens is of God.

In my opinion He created, or became, the universe which houses billions of Galaxies, which house billions of planets, which house billions of souls(and this is only the 3d-universe, there are likely to be much more levels of existence out there). Then there are certain laws which operate here, one set of them is called laws of physics, and maybe evolution is in that set.

So where does this all come down to?

Conclusion: God created evolution.

I agree with Kakkarot, it's a angle trick called Balducci levitation.

I have seen the footage also. Did you notice that when Blaine did his levitation, he positioned himself exactly the same way every time? He put all the audience in a tight group and warned that they should "catch him", if he should fall. Then he turned his back to the audience and checked his angle. After levitating he said that the levitation made him sick, which is nice excuse to avoid doing it again.

When he did the levitation they never showed the levitation and audience at the same time, all they did was show the amazed faces of the crowd. There was however one occasion when they showed a very distant and hazy footage of blaine hanging in the air with both feet up. This was, I believe,a separate take, where he used wires, and was thrown in to confuse tv-audience. I know I was confused by this.

After I saw this episode, I learned to do this balducci levitation myself, and when I knew how to do it, it was very clear to me why he did all the things he did when preparing to "levitate". I suggest you learn it too and see if you fool your friends. Here's how to do it:

http://www.geocities.com/Broadway/Stage/7308/balducci.html

It's quite simple trick, but when done right and only ONCE for a person, preferably without telling him beforehand what to expect, it can be quite amazing. I did it to my sister, and she was awestruck Then I did it again and she figured it out.

So that's it, it would have been nice if Blaine had really done it, but..if he could then would he?

Welcome to Metaphysics! / auras/personality
March 01, 2003, 17:06:11
1. I'm not sure what generates aura, but it surely vanishes when we die. In fact you can predict someone's death from aura. Even an accidental death can be seen beforehand from aura, which is quite amazing and makes me think about destiny and how much we can affect it.

Think of it this way: Soul is a bright ball of light which enters dark physical body. This light "lights up" the body. The light is so bright that it shines through the body several feet around it and can be seen as aura. When the person dies the light leaves the body and so the aura also vanishes leaving a dark dead body.

2. This question of the soul is a good one. Many people think that soul is a separate entity from "them", like it was somewhere out there, hovering above them. They don't get that they are a soul. I don't know why this is so hard for some to understand, maybe it's because for some it's very hard to identify themselves as being separate from their physical bodies.

I think that soul is the part of us that is eternal so I would say that our consciousness is our soul.

How do you define soul? What is the difference between soul, ego and personality, or are they all different parts of our soul?

I think that we have several layers of consciousness and at a given time we are focused on different layers. We can reach higher layers through meditation, or lower though alcohol use. I believe that our vibration(or level of spirituality) defines the layer which is our base layer, where we normally are. The higher the vibrarion the higher the layer and our level of consciousness.(or perhaps the level of consciousness defines our vibration) Then when one is enlightened, then one has reached the highest of the layers permanently, and one has so called superconsciousness, total oneness with all.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Deleted

Timeless, I have nothing more to offer than to thank you for your most beautiful and insightful post. Although nearly all the post here are very deep and to the point, your post stroke me unusually strongly.

I have been wondering lately what the real purpose for me to be here on earth is. Why I was born. I mean that this material life with acquisition of things does not make me happy, there must be some deeper thing to do, something WORTH doing. And until I get it, I will try to live spiritual life with appreciation of all and harm to none.

Thanks again for your post!
