It's interesting how the pyramids are devoid of hieroglyphics where-as other Egyptian temples are completely covered in them. Also aren't tombs in the Valley of the Kings covered in hieroglyphic's?

I thinks it's possible to train ones self to have OBE's in a very short period of time but first it's important to be able to have them at will when every you decide.

It's like anything else in life. The more you practice doing something the faster you can do it. I'm sure there are limits to how fast an OBE can happen but I don't think there has been any real work to determine that limit.

I'd think 10 to 15 minutes would be completely possible for everyone. Anything below that would take special talent but this is a guess of coarse.

Running a mile would seem to be a very accurate. Everyone in generally ok health can run a mile in 15 minutes. To do it in 4 takes talent...

If they didn't fight then they would have all been dead before neo could have done anything. Everyone did what they had to in order to form the outcome.

the third movie summed it all up by pretty much saying (from what i could determine) that while such things as karma, fate, cause and effect, chance and coincidence, etc are all a part of reality as we know it, what truly drives our world is choice. beyond any of the aforementioned, what we CHOOSE to do with our lives overrides the control of all of those things (karma, fate, cause and effect, chance and coincidence, etc): eventhough such things may still influence our lives, they will not control our lives if we choose our own path and make our own decisions.

And in the end perhaps that is what life really is about: rather than just letting the waves of life fall upon us, the fact that some choose to do something with their lives regardless of what life throws at them is what makes them truly special.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. You can't see your room if you don't have a light source. And some items are semi-transparent when viewed with certain wavelengths of light. The sun produces wavelengths across the whole spectrum where-as artificial light has a narrower band.

I don't really think she is seeing in x-ray band but she might be able to see in a higher or lower wave length than everyone else.

x-rays as mentioned above are very energetic.

I think kids are more equipped to handle fear and uncertainty than adults are. Lets face it we are all pretty sure what is real and what isn't. A child is still learning and open to things.

I think talking about some of these things would be a good thing. But how one does it would have to depend on the child.

Yes I agree because her gift only works during the day. This would make sense because in order to see something you need to have light of that wavelength available. If she can see x-ray style then there would need to be a source for this form of light and normal artificial lighting doesn't produce x-rays unlike the sun which is a happy x-ray making fool.

You never know she might like to look at brains..

The government has been doing this for a long time. A perfect example is the Federal Bur   eau of Investigation's Carnivore program. It reads everyone's emails and searches for words like "Terrorist, guns, weapons, bombs, 9/11, 9-11, biological, chemical, mass death". The list goes on and on.

Well I don't admit to knowing too much about magical type stuff but it helps if you are in an area with a high ratio of females. I've read Modern Magick and don't recall anything about tablets but I've always found the symbolism used in the occult to be most interesting. I'd love to see a picture of one of those tablets you got.

Yeah I know, it really just makes me mad more than anything. If I jump off a building than I hover along well enough. Your right, living in the physical world makes you get use to things working a certain way and it is hard to unlearn something like that. I just keep on trying, sooner or later its going to get better.[^]

I really wanted to zoom up really high and see the earth get smaller and smaller but it'll have to wait.

Hello, I was here awhile back when there was a lengthy beating of  the author so I decided to get his book and see what was up. I've read everything up to week 6 so far and find alot of what he has to say very interesting. I think his overall explanation of the astral to be very simplistic but that could be a good thing for someone just trying to grasp the concepts. As far as techniques yes I would say they have merit and are workable.

I was impressed with his notation of how most people go through their daily lives in a day dream and never really think about what they are doing. I think this idea is pretty much accurate and might explain why some people have more trouble with OOBE.

I've tried his heart exercise and have found it to generate the type of state needed for an OOBE.

Bottom line is that the book has some good information and will help you learn things you need to know but I wouldn't use it as a sole reference. I would recommend reading Robert Bruce's book Astral Dynamic's, William Buhlman's book The secret of the soul and also the books by Robert Monroe. I strongly feel that each one of these people have a piece of the puzzle.

As far as him being the devil, well I think people get alittle too willing to hate someone who has something different to say that doesn't fall in line with what they think they know. I would also say shame on those people who would get on the band wagon which is what happened on this site awhile back.

I would tell you to follow and do what you feel is right.

Well maybe you have but just don't remember it.
I myself have lots of dreams about flying but can't fly very high which is strange because I don't have a fear of hights. When I OOBE I have more trouble with flying than I do in my dreams which is also strange to me since you would think it would be easier when you are aware and know you should be able too.

In the end it will not matter one way or the other when It comes to OOBE's.
