Simply not believing in demons has proven effective for me so far. I've encountered a "grim reaper" looking entity, and I've been seeing the silhouette of a dark figure next to my bed once waking up in the middle of the night and once in an out of body experience. Surprisingly, I think I've learned to rid myself of fear and superstition of ghosts and demons and it's allowed me to go about my experiences with ease. Even if they were real and I did encounter one I doubt it would be able to affect me because I live fear free baby. Demons don't "phase" me.  8-)

I was watching a TV show and supposedly there's a lost ancient drug that the Hindu religion used.. Not sure if it was DMT based though.

I'm a noobie, and I experienced the beginning of separation with one physical and one astral eye open. I was already confused with figuring out how opening my astral eyes differed from opening my physical eyes, and upon seeing my astral body begin to separate from my physical body, it confused me more so I lost it and woke up. I'd say with enough experience, a disciplined mind, and a lot of practice, that it's highly possible.

I'll be honest, I only read half of your post because I have math homework to do, and this forum always gets me major sidetracked lol. But, I agree with a lot of what you said in the first half esp. on the christian view of angels and demons; however, i do not think any such entities do not exist at all. Entities that guide others may simply be entities on other planes with good intentions and may have been misinterpreted as christian "angels". Chances are there are "lower level" beings that exist on other planes with bad intentions as well.

As for the issue of possession, I suggest you read this post. Killa Rican talks about his experience with it.

What i do is fairly simple, and cuts the projection time down to about 20 min. On the IN breath, breath in relaxation, feel it flow throughout your body. on the OUT breath, breath out any tension  and stress you have. If there is a specific part that needs an extra boost in relaxing, use your third eye and tell it to relax.

~astraladdict

this is pretty much what i do. i started out using certain techniques, and although it did work for me, i found that with every breath, i simply needed to focus on relaxing myself instead of focusing on the technique. this pretty much cut the time it took in half. my advice would be not to focus too much how long a certain technique may take, because it may be different for you.

Everything is made up of energy, energy isn't a solid. It's about 90% empty space. So it's not that you "sometimes can't" go through an object, that's just how your mind is set up. You can go through anything at anytime.

are you only referring to the non-physical?

i'm so confused. i've come to believe that dreams aren't "always" in your head. i feel that they do take place in somewhere nonphysical, but i feel there's many possibilities as to where you "dream", how you "dream", and why. so far from my experiences, i've been straight up shown one of my personal faults in life so i do believe they can reveal lessons to better the individual. along with this, i've come to believe that some dreams an individual may experience may be there to test them. i've come to believe they can show the future. i believe some dreams take place in the astral because i've recalled having been to a "flying school" and i can also recall having been picked up by a number of entities and flown with them. lastly, i do believe dreams spawn images from memory and that they may simply allow the dreamer to exist in their "dream" or fantasy worlds.

feel free to explain how things may be true or untrue. i also feel that i might not be seeing the bigger picture in that every aspect or certain aspects may very well be connected.

i think this is on topic, but lmk if i should move it elsewhere!

thanks for the comments. the non-physical in it of itself is tricky when your mind is so used to the barriers in the physical. perhaps, i'm simply not ready for mirrors yet. i'm thinking i should practice AP'ing with much more control first and start with controlling where doors and such take me. many times i've opened my doors and my window in the last experience, and it's opened up to a completely unknown environment or area. once i have this mastered, then perhaps i could move on to mirrors.

yep dreams are projection but not the Astral plaine, higher...

good luck

love all

are they really? someone should explain what dreams are because i've been trying to figure it out for awhile now.. even a link would prove just as sufficient too :)

^^ i second that possibility. also, dream-like "things" could manifest while projecting. i know there's a better term, but i'm not all that good with words :P. i projected once and  a memory or dream projection of my ex-girlfriend spawned out of nowhere and i interacted with her/it even though the REAL her was watching television on the couch across from me. chances are you have the best idea of whether or not you were dreaming or projecting :)

so last night was probably one of the most "successful" projections that i've ever had. i had much more progress grounding myself in the non-physical allowing me to prolong the duration of my projection and the place that i explored was one of the most interesting places i have been. unfortunately, upon returning back to my physical body, i got lazy and fell back asleep. since, i've only been able to remember the the beginning of my projection. i'm so sad :( .. but anywho, i found it funny that when i was already in my non-physical body, i was using techniques such as "kicking" to get myself out of my body, but what i didn't realize at first was that i was already out. after a handful of times of kicking my wall (i could even hear the sound), i realized i could just get out of bed like i do physically. i've read that mirrors can lead you to interesting places, so recently i've been remembering that whenever i project. however, when i tried to enter my large mirror in my room, it wouldn't allow me to stick my hand through it. after failing, i made my way to my window. i found that i could simply touch the blinds and sliding glass to let it raise or open itself. it was like magic :D. when i opened my window, there appeared an almost fantasy-like location. all i remember was flying out, exploring my surroundings and mingling with a few entities. i know it was one of the most intriguing places i've ever been to and i regret not writing about it.

anyways, i was just wondering if anyone had any advice on entering mirrors, walking through walls, etc.

after reading this post, i decided to do a little research and found that DMT generally seems to be more of a drug that shows people how truly connected they are to everything in existence. you may experience something different though. BUT, i also read that DMT is actually released during sleep-paralysis & REM sleep. you should try inducing an OBE soberly for a month or two first. chances are you'll probably experience a spontaneous OBE within that time-frame. i still can't induce one from an awake state, but i've had numerous spontaneous, conscious experiences since. once you experience it, just remember your body was naturally releasing DMT during so you're pretty much "tripping" naturally :). if you DO decide to take it, make sure you're straight in the head, otherwise you may face mental complications coming off the drug. it won't completely prevent a bad trip from occurring, but it will highly decrease the chances of it. take this precaution for EVERY drug. i've even seen someone have something similar to a bad shroom trip off marijuana. just sayin. be careful!

You know that may actually be possible, i've been all over the place in the realm

oo please tell if you've experienced something similar or have an explanation as to how it may be possible. i was thinking it was like star-trek when someone gets energized or "beamed up", all they have to do is hold onto someone for them to beamed up with them as well.

maybe it followed you back :P

Yeah if there really is aliens coming to take us away. How do you actually know its to enslave us?

What if something is going to kill us all on the earth soon and they want to save us?

There is lots of possibilities, I'm just wondering why you strongly believe they want to enslave us.

I agreee. I don't necessarily believe that Nibiru is real or not, but I can't wait till the day it is discovered to be real lol. I think that if aliens had superior technology, they would have had to start from scratch, much like humans did. We humans have almost abolished slavery from the entire planet with i'm sure a few exceptions that are unknown to me, so if the aliens were much more advanced than us, I'm sure slavery wouldn't be apart of their agenda.

the pyramids are something i dream to visit one day. there's so much mystery to them. is there any reasoning as to why or how the tunnels are too small for humans? is it that they are too small for MODERN humans? or too small for humans from that time as well?

ahh thanks for the replies. i have a feeling some of what i might be seeing might be the entities godsproxy speaks of and that it may also be from hypnagogia. i know sometimes when i'm falling asleep and i am able to view visions come in and out of focus. this time just seemed like i was much more conscious because i had just gone to bed, but perhaps i was more tired than before and began falling to sleep much faster. nevertheless, ever since that night, when i focus on the visuals on my wall, it seems that i see many more shadowy images moving about the ceiling (this is with my eyes open). it may just be my eyes, it may not. i've been very interested to see whether or not entities were keeping me company from time to time. once i awoke in sleep paralysis and saw a silhouette of what appeared to be a girl or some being standing next to my bed over me. for some reason, when i experienced it, i felt completely fearless. i simply watched it for a few moments with keen interest and either fell back asleep or woke up. i cannot remember. i felt like it was just some paralysis hallucination (which it may have been), but last night, i had a spontaneous OBE that occurred whilst i was sleeping on my stomach which has never happened before. i crawled out of my bed and ended up in my room. i had very little control and my room was very dark, but as i looked back at my body, i noticed a shadowy figure next to my bed in the same spot where i saw the silhouette. i was able to catch a small glimpse of it's face (i can't remember what it looked like though), and the moment i saw it, it quickly flew off to my left and vanished. i'm not sure if what i saw was something i had manifested or if it had it's own existence.

ahh okay I understand more. you say that a stronger force always wins in physics, but there is still much that is unknown to us in physics. i know that people have talked about how you really never truly leave your physical body when you project. a few times that i have projected, it's like i was in two places at once. most of what i was perceiving was from my spiritual body, but at the same time i could still hear what was going on around my physical body. perhaps someone could clarify and explain it more thoroughly.
#44
I'm not gonna lie, some of your post confuses me, but it's not your fault. I still have a lot of learning and understanding to do. Anywho, much of what I've seen in the astral has intrigued me. I don't believe the astral is a simple matter of truth, but if that were one's biggest concern, the astral is a place to explore and it's up to the projector to understand whether what they're experiencing are manifestations of their mind or if what they're perceiving has some objective existence. I for one have experienced enough to believe that I'm not being "mind-screwed", but if that were the case, I've still learned a whole lot about myself from it. As for the silver cord, maybe the cord is a image manifestation showing the connection between your physical body & your spiritual or energy body. I don't even know if I'm answering your questions, so please correct me if I'm not :)

So, in one of my earliest posts, I described being able to see patterns of color flowing through almost anything if I focused on it well enough. I've come to believe that I'm able to see an energy flow and recently, I've been been noticing that with my eyes closed, I can also see something similar. It's almost as if I might be able to see the energy past my eyelids. Yesterday, I was laying down and resting and I attempted to focus on the flow. Normally, everything appears blurry as if moving too fast for me to be able to focus on any individual particle, but yesterday, I was messing around with how I was focusing my vision, and I was able to put into focus a very clear and distinct shape. The patterns that made up the shape were somewhat intricate. Last night, before I slept, I tried focusing on the same thing but was unable to. Instead I began seeing shadowy images that took the form of entities. I wasn't sure if they manifested from my thinking, or if they actually existed, but usually there would be one or two at a time and would move around my vision often in circular motions. I can't be certain of this, but I can recall being fully conscious of what was going on, and I do not believe that I was falling asleep and seeing dream imagery. I opened my eyes curious as to whether or not what I was seeing was real, and in the dark of my room, along with the colorful energy flowing through my room, I saw dark shadowy figures flying around my room in the same motions I saw with my eyes closed. It startled me for a bit and then they faded and disappeared. Am I hallucinating and simply seeing what my mind thinks I'm seeing?
#46
Um, all I remember was that I woke up and thought I was facing another person. It startled me so hard that I kinda jumped out of bed haha. It looked like a male entity and after I got startled, it switched back to just looking like my blanket again.

I've had strange experiences where i'll wake up in the middle of the night, open my eyes, and the items on my bed would take the form of a human-like entity. I always just thought that because it was so sudden, then I may have just seen a dream-image. But, I feel like what I saw may be connected to what you're describing?

i think PART of the secret is just simple lust and desire to project. during my last semester of school, i put aside projection and spiritual practice just because i devoted most of my time to studies and being out with friends. i still had spontaneous experiences every so often, but they were much less controllable and much more dream-like. just this week, i decided to go on this forum for this first time in a few months and after reading some posts, i was motivated to try and project. i wasn't able to that night, but the very next day i achieved one. i remember when i started i remembered having read somewhere that everyone can lucid dream but not everyone can have an out of body experience. this kind of stuck in my mind until i reached this forum where i read that astral projection is achievable by anyone. within less than a month, i successfully projected. for some it may take longer, and for some it may take less, but just begin to doubt otherwise those doubts will only hold you back from projecting. goodluck!

The astral eyes. The other vision. This vision can be so realistic to the point of making you think that you opened your physical eyes. Separation from the body can also emulate physical movement. Sometimes, when you think you are merely getting out of bed, you are really moving incorporeally. You are on the right track with your experiences. SP leads to Phase entry.

By the way, I use the broad term "Phase" to mean OOBEs/AP/LDs.

Ahh okay i understand. What I experienced most recently a few days before this, was that I was having trouble getting both astral eyes to open during separation. Instead I would have my right physical eye open and my left astral eye open. Sometimes when I wake up in sleep paralysis it's obvious that I'm seeing with my astral eyes due to an altered perception of my senses, but maybe in this case things seemed much more in the physical. If one wakes up in paralysis or in that state-of-mind to project, then perhaps they're seeing with their astral eyes to some extent or another?

@Lizelle:
Well it's weird cause I've experienced this phenomenon a handful of times before. Ever since my first OBE, things have leveled out to much more calm state when I project, but that may simply be due to the fact that I'm becoming much more familiar with projecting. This occurred only a few days after another OBE in which I experienced much more calm and "normal" sensations. And each of these shaky experiences haven't been violent in a fearful sense but is somewhat "violent" in terms of how it feels. I hope that makes sense!

@Summerlander
Ahh, I'm glad someone knows the scientific aspects of projecting. Got some research to do because 3 or 4 of the terms you named are unknown to me haha. Thanks. And I'm normally aware of when I'm seeing physically or if I'm seeing in the phase. Generally, from what I've come to believe is energy, I can see it much more vividly and naturally without having to focus as I usually do when I'm physically awake. I'm not exactly sure what you mean though. Are you asking if I was seeing with my physical eyes or if i was actually seeing with my astral eyes in the phase?
