Welcome to Dreams! / Collective entity?
October 12, 2003, 19:03:45
I've had a few dreams in which I experienced feelings I never experienced before. Like riding a unicycle or moonwalking. I tried to unicycle before (in real life) but didn't have much success. A while after that I had a dream in which I could unicycle and it seemed so easy and natural to me. It's a really strange experience when in real life you are unable to normally ride a unicycle.

I had the same thing with moonwalking. As a kid I always wanted to be able to moonwalk but never came close. Then I had a dream in which I moonwalked and it was such a normal feeling to me. I felt like I discovered how to moonwalk, how to use your body.

I was just wondering how the brain is able to come up with these feelings if it has never learned them.

And it's the same thing with flying. How does the brain know what flying is like?

Maybe this could be some sort of proof that we are all part of some collective entity? That we are all connected and can share and learn from eachother on another level than we do in normal life?

By the way, I'm stoned right now...

Welcome to Dreams! / Deja vu while dreaming
October 05, 2003, 18:57:11
I've had this strange but cool experience while I was dreaming. I was dreaming that I was helping a woman in the store that I work in. After a period of time, I remembered (there in that dream) that I've had exactly the same dream before. I knew it was a deja vu, but then a real long one. Then I got this strange feeling that I just discovered something really important. A sort of an insight in the connection between dreaming and deja vu's. After that I woke up and now I can't really remember having that dream, of me helping the woman, twice. But in the dream I knew that it was an exact copy of a dream I had before. Strange..

I'm just wondering on what could be the connention between deja vu's and dreaming? In the dream it really seemed to meant something. Any thougths?

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Ego
June 07, 2004, 18:22:55
Or look at it from an evolutionary point of view. One celled organisms didn't have ego's, the ego came to life when the brains of animals developed more and more. It is nothing more than a tool that let's us survive. Intelligence was the way to survive in the survival of the fittest, so intelligence was the way evolution had to go.

The problem is that our tool became so sophisticated that it tricked us in letting us believe that we are that tool and that we are different from the life (plants, animals) we see around us when in fact we aren't different at all. We (humans, animals, plants) all ARE, and that is our essence, we ARE.

Welcome to Dreams! / never dreaming :(

Everyone dreams. You're just having problems remembering them. You should write down your dreams right after you wake up. Describe every little detail. Even if you can just remember one small thing from a dream.

And before going to sleep, tell yourself that you are going to remember your dreams that night. If you do this every night, your subconscience will react and you will get better at remembering your dreams.

The New Age movement may be a "threat" to dumb people, who follow what others say and don't think for themselves.

The New Age movement hasn't failed me, because I'm not part of a movement. I just follow my own path and don't take excrement from some book. I am the one who decides what is true for me. Just use common sense and intuition and not much can go wrong if you ask me. New Age books have changed my life and didn't make it more complicated. If you get lost in everything that the New Age movement proclaims, it's your own fault. Don't search outside yourself when something goes wrong, search your inside.

This will just take time. We won't see world peace in 10, 20 or 30 years. Maybe in the far future. But it's still important to start contributing to it right now.

Welcome to Dreams! / Awakening Divinity

I think it is something everyone can experience at a certain point in life. But lately, more and more people are experiencing these things. All at the same time, people of all ages.

I used to be a 2012 sceptic, but now I think this can have something to do with 2012. A new age of man will follow in 2012. In 2012 our consciousness will rise to a higher level, we will understand that we truly are one and we will understand where we came from. This will result in more peace, love and spirituality.

I don't believe that 2012 has got anything to do with reptilians and stuff like that. I used to think that 2012 and reptilians were supposed to go hand in hand, but I read some new info about 2012 and now I believe that the reptilian thing has got nothing to do with 2012. Which makes 2012 much more realistic to me.

I can really relate to that! I've experienced similar things and only until recently I began to see these things happening around me.

Lately, I sometimes have this thought combined with a feeling that's trying to tell me something. The thought is that I live in some sort of Matrix and that I can do everything I want, that I can attract anything that I want.

Can't tell you more right now because I'm tired...[:)]

I like your idea!

Here are my thoughts:

Spam email is an idea I've come up with as well. My idea was to put inspiring quotes and pieces of insight into it. We can't force people into changing themselves, which is the only way to change the world. You can't change a group of people by force, but change has to come from within a person. So why not try to inspire people and give them a push in the right direction? I already have a nice collection of quotes and insights that we could use.

The first step to world peace is to let people become more conscious, so lets help them!

Greets,

Tony

Nice post Kenshi, and by the way it is nice to see a fellow Dutchman on this board.

Did you by any chance read "The power of Now"? (De kracht van het Nu)

And what Jon said is also something I'm trying to figure out. How to let the ego coexist in a peaceful way with your trueself? I know it can be done, but it is hard. Is it just a matter of carefully looking at your thoughts? Will the thoughts generated by the ego eventually fade away and is it possible to let the ego only generate thoughts that come from within, from your true self? What are your experiences in this area?

Greets,

Tony

Well, here is my point of view:

I do think that future lives can affect us now. In the future we will be one again, we will be whole again, we will return to where we came from, call it God. Only this time the whole will be more conscious of itself. We know this right now, we know that this is right, that this is our goal because of an inner knowledge. Where does this inner knowledge come from? Future lives maybe?

Welcome to Integral Philosophy! / Humanity sucks

I for one stopped watching television, because of obvious reasons. I don't even watch the news anymore. Why look at all the sadness in the world? Won't it make you sad as well? And what constructive purpose does watching other peoples sadness have anyway? If you want to make the world a better place, start by giving the right example. Show people that you care about them but do not get caught up in their sadness. That has not got any constructive side to it.

I still follow some of the news on teletext/ceefax (how do you call it in the US?) because I don't want to come across too indifferent of what's going on in the world.

What I'd like to see the government do first is to include spiritual type of books (not too spiritual) in the curriculum for students. There are more people that say that this could be a first step in "healing the world".

I enjoy reading books about happiness, living in the "now", positive thinking and stuff like that and I think other people of my age will enjoy these kinds of books as well. And I think almost every student would much rather read these kinds of books than some dull schoolbook with info they will probably never use.

Let's make this happen!

Did you watch all three hours yet kakkarot? I started hour one yesterdaynight and couldn't stop! Went to bed at 5.30 AM, hehe..

Yeah I read it, but the new one is a whole different one from the original 2012 theory. The new one is a doomsday scenerio and it's not like we haven't heard them before in the past years. That's why I didn't want to HEAR it, I didn't say he couldn't talk about it.
#44
Yep that's true (in my view) and that's why we should start changing the world by changing ourselves. I think every person getting to know himself is the only true solution to all/most? of our problems. That's why I think that self-reflection and self-development should get a bigger place in society, like in education.

When I started looking at myself I began my journey that has become a spiritual one and this is something I would have never guessed a year ago. People must really get to know themselves and not just their ego's. This should be the first basic step on every journey, whether it is in love, work or something I can't think of right now.

It's this basic thing that will give us something to fall back to and will provide stability and happiness for us and also for the people around us.

The work has already been done my friend. And maybe you disagree with things I said, but you can't deny the fact that I always tell the truth, even when I lie!

I experience things like that as well, but in my case I think old programming pushes me back again every once in a while. I've changed a lot in the past year and I'm still working on myself. The problem with old programming is that it will "resist being deleted". The old programming will fight the new one and this can result in occuring doubts or, as I experienced, an allergic reaction. Can't really explain why I know this allergic reaction was due to my rapid change, but I just know. I also read a few books about this subject.

No, prozac is a material thing and those things won't give you true lasting happiness like I said.

Zenryoku, I meant no more 2012 predictions. Had enough of them. I have to admit that I can relate to the Mayan calendar thing, although Pleaidians and reptiles are not something I can relate to (yet?). But armageddon type of predictions.. no more, please..
