okay if it happens again i will try and and look at it differently. Any idea what i am meant to do though because i was floating around the house, i couldn't go through a wall but i could go straight through the closed bedroom door. I tried to go through the window and front door and that didn't work so i went back upstairs where i just floated above the bed and i didn't know if i was meant to be doing anything or not and so i got scared and jolted myself awake.  :?

And do you think you know why this happens to some people and not others? i am a little spiritual but i have no religion, i've always had an open mind . I told my Dad and he said that sometimes he goes to sleep and wakes up unable to breath, but nothing like what i have experienced.

Welcome to Dreams! / sleep paralysis

Hi, i messaged months ago , i had sleep paralysis where i was dragged out of my bed and it terrified me :(
Theres been no more repeat experiences till last night.

I woke up in the morning with that horrible buzzing in my ear, i again was dragged out of bed and i floated around the bedroom, i didn't try to fight it this time, i tried to fly through the wall but i couldn't so i tried the door and i seemed to float through there okay. I tried to go out the window then with no luck , i don't know why i was trying to get out, i just wanted to know how far i could go and what i was experiencing. So i floated over to the mirror where i saw my reflection in the air kicking around like i was learning to fly like in peter pan lol except i was terrified. My eyes were fuzzy and nothing was really clear yet i could see my feet then on the floor in my reflection but then above it i saw my floating reflection like there was 2 of me :S
I then floated down the stairs again and tried to float out the door, failed that. Then i asked out loud why i was here and if there was anyone here can they show themselves, No response. Next thing i'm back in the bedroom floating over the bed with the same buzzing in my ear which started to freak me out, felt like if i didn't wake myself up i was gonna die or something. :(

What am i meant to do when this happens and what does this mean? x

HI.. Thankyou i didn't expect to get this much response so quick.
It is true i am less comfortable when i stay with my bf even though i prefere to be with him than switching all the time :S problem is he only has a 1 bedroom house and his young daughter from a previous relationship stays with him twice a week , so has to share his bed them nights. Its not ideal but hopefully we can afford to move out together one day soon.

I always find its always very hot in my boyfriends house ( he doesen't agree) where as at home i sleep near a window which is always slightly open. I also often go to bed the same time as my bf when i'm with him which is usually quite a bit earlier than when i'm at home because are working hours are so different, he gets up very early for work and i work in a pub so my hours are all over the place ( i don't have to get up early) so sometimes i try and force myself to go to sleep, not good i guess. Plus he's very stressed at the moment, do you think this is being transferred to me to? sometimes he gets irratated that i can't sleep and this upsets me to so i guess thats not good going to sleep a bit anxious.

I'll try all those things definately. I actually managed to tell my dad yesterday and he said that sometimes when he falls asleep he wakes up to find he can't breath :/ i think this is probabally a similar thing

Thanks again, much appreciated XD

Hiya! thankyou for the quick reply!

I'm at my boyfriends about 4 nights every week, and he works long long hours and has been very stressed from work so we haven't had much naughty time lately lol .The particular night i referred to earlier , i could of been a bit stressed myself so maybe that had something to do with it :/  i'm 26 XD so i'm open to any explanations...

Hi i need some help please. I have always had lucid dreams and there great and fun and all that but lately i've been suffering from sleep paralysis, i've researched and i think thats what it is. I wake up in the night paralyseD but perfectly awake, then i see and hear things, and its very scary.

3 nights ago i had this happen 4 times in a row, i manage to fight it everytime and wake myself up but after an anxious sleepless night at about 7am i fell asleep (kind OF) then was rudely awakened by something pulling my arm out of the bed, quickly my whole body was just dragged out of my bed, i was terrified as this was something else, i couldn't see this invisible force so i was pulled out into the hall , felt like i was floating in mid air and then i was left there on the floor, i didn;t know what to do, nothing happened for a minute then i found some kind of strength and i actually floated down the stairs on my own ( nothing dragging me ) . I then awoke if u call it that. I can't quite believe what happened, is this an obe? this was not a lucid dream as i had no control and i was terrified. Please help   :|

and this only happens at my boyfriends house, never at my mums where i spend equal nights there. wtf

Hi people :)
I've just joined this site, i'm not sure if i'm writing in the right bit lol but i hope i can talk to someone here about what i'm going through as i'm a little freaked out.
I can't really talk to friends/family as its all very strange.

Anyway for years i've been having very lucid dreams, and i think there great fun, which is pretty amazing really. But very recently i seem to be suffering from i think sleep paralysis or something, i keep waking up in the night paralysed and its so scary, i feel like there is something in my room, i'm very awake it not like a dream. Well i could just about handle these occurences every now and again until the other night when it happened again but this time i opened me eyes and i just got pulled out of my bed from under the covers and i drifted out into my hallway, i was so shocked as i was very awake as usual, i rermember then laying on the floor still paralysed in the hallway lookin up at the window, it was raining.. then i drifted off down the stairs but this time i felt i was in control. I felt like the i was dragged out of bed into the hall and then left and then i was on my own. Am i making sense? i woke up then if u call it waking up? i'm so confused i think i may have had an obe.
One more thing is... i only have these paralysis moments at my boyfriends house, never at mine . Any help would be much appreciated.

oh and that night i hardly slept, everytime i fell asleep i would go paralysed and i'd have to jolt myself up, after the obe thing that same night i preyed to God to protect me and help me get some peaceful sleep that night, i then fell sleep shortly after and slepy soundly. Since that night last week i have had a short prayer everynight before bed and i haven't suffered again.

Please some one reply i'm a bit scared thanx x
