Welcome to Dreams! / Making other dreamers lucid
August 25, 2004, 06:36:57
funinfloating111, it really is irritating when people don't believe they're dreaming, isn't it? And even when they believe, they forget it! Damn! [xx(]

I don't believe that people have spirit guides, but I'll change my mind as soon as I find a good proof. If that lady somehow is my spirit guide, it would make much sense.

I like your idea Kazbadan. It's 14:32 right now in Croatia. I go to sleep between 00:00 and 01:00. I wake at about 9 AM.

If at first we don't succeed, we'll try again and again many times, ok?

I know almost nothing about you so it will be hard to find you. It would be a lot easier if you would send me your picture by e-mail.

I just ran into this old topic and I am interested if anyone knows what happend with the girl? Too bad I am 2 years late. I hope she's ok...

Welcome to Dreams! / Elaborate/Epic Story Dreams

It's a very nice dream, shivanova! I'm sure you enjoyed it much. I got tingles while reading it. [:)]

Your mind is much more creative than you think. While you are dreaming or out of body it can create magnificent fictional worlds that you could never imagine if being awake.

Sometimes dreams can even be more beautiful than screenshots from Myst 3 (the most beautiful game I've ever seen).

Was your dream lucid?
#29
I tried it out too!
Yesterday I got into the vibrational state but I didn't project because my back started to hurt.
Today I tried again bu when I woke up I couldn't get back to sleep.

Congratulations, Cube! This is by far the most effective method I've ever seen!

Well, D&D is all about imagination, so anything I make in the astral could be labeled with D&D.

Come to think of it, I once had a lucid dream in which I created a scene from the session I had earlier that day.

Atlanta, are you interested in the concept of the game or the rules? Do you want me to send you Player's Handbook by e-mail? It has 19 MB...[xx(]

Player's Handbook is a core rulebook for D&D.

Welcome to Dreams! / Affirmation
July 20, 2004, 02:35:07
I repeated it about 20 times and fell aspleep a few minutes later.

I'll try repeating it til I drift to sleep as well. Just to see if it makes any difference.

For me it worked 4 times out of 5.

I think affirmations are just a little help. Reality checks and enthusiasam are most important. And I am quite enthusiastic so perhaps I would have had a lucid dream even if I didn't do any affirmations?

Look, Beavis...
I've been deeply depressed 2 times by now and I've learned something. As long as I as want to go crying my heart out nothing good will happen. People will start turning away from me because they aren't really having fun spending time with a pessimist. If I think positively, good thinks start happening. Even if I live in an illusion of happiness, good things happen.

When you fall to the bottom, the only thing that you can do is go up... or stay down there for a while.

Welcome to Dreams! / Flying in a Lucid dream
July 18, 2004, 15:28:15
My first lucid dream was spontaneous. It happened when I was 7. After I read about it on the internet later when I was 14. I was very enthusiastic and I succeeded the very same day. I had a WILD, in fact.

I was expecting to have a lucid dream again next day, but I didn't have it. So I started doing reality checks and 8 days later, I succeeded again.

Welcome to Dreams! / Flying in a Lucid dream
July 18, 2004, 09:05:30
Well, there was one time when I was playing football and I suddenly became lucid.  I started jumping around very high. When the ball was led by the opposed team on the opposite side of the field, I would just jump right there and score. And then my team started cheering. I may not sound very interesting but I was having a lot of fun.

And I like to make a Star Wars scenario where I am a Jedi and I am fighting aginst Siths. I usually use a green double light saber. I jump high and I use lightning and force push and pull and speed and everything. Man, those SW experiences are really exciting!

We're getting a little offtopic here, aren't we? [|)]

Welcome to Dreams! / Flying in a Lucid dream
July 18, 2004, 07:26:57
No, I didn't have the spiderman outfit. But it didn't really matter. All that mattered is that I could finally swing! It was like a dream come true!
Except for the fact that it was a dream... [:D]

And yes, lucid dreams can be really amazing. I hope you will succeed soon!

Hey, Spiderman is my favorite superhero. Back when I was younger, I used to daydream about being spiderman only so that I could swing like him.

And I already had a lucid dream in which I was Spiderman. It happened about 2 months ago. It was awesome! I enjoyed the way I went up and down. I enjoyed the wind! I enjoyed everything!! You all should try it.

I think I could count that LD into my 3 most pleasant experiences.

People often hear voices while projecting. I even felt my mother shaking me and calling my name. Someone said, Rober Bruce I think, that these voices are entities trying to stop us from getting out, because they know how much more powerful we are than them.
I'm not sure about that...

It is possible to have an OBE while someone else is in the room, but it is extremely difficult because your mind will be interested in what is going on and it will probably ruin your concentration. Our mind is always running, it's trying to keep us informed about what is going on. It's difficult enough calming it without having someone in your room. You should find some place quiet when you try to have an OBE.

Your body would call you back if the person in your room was doing something noisy. Nobody ever interrupted my OBEs but I think that you couldn't resist being pulled back. It's just like with sleeping: If someone is smashing windows while you sleep, you'll probably wake up.

Does anybody know a link for wiccan methods? I only worked with NEW so far.

I've been practicing AP for a while know, a couple of months on.. and off.  Recently I've practiced everday and everynight to no finishing results... I've read and researched all sorts of different methods and none get me to the exit point...  The farthest its seems i've gotten is just to a relaxing state, I haven't gotten vibrations, noises, or anything like that.. just unusefull imagery.  Although sometimes I do drift asleep for moments or I just forget certain parts of the practice... is there something im doing wrong or can someone give me advice on getting to the vibration stage?  Thanks

I know how frustrating it can get, it took me 6 months to get out ot my body. There were times when I was convincing myself that AP is a lie and that everybody who talks about APing is a liar. But something kept me trying. After my first projcetion, everything was easier. I figured out what I had to do to project and I had another projection in a week. Now I have about 3 projections in a week, and it's been just 2 months since my first projection.

Don't give up! Your time will come. If you try really hard, it's impossible to get no results.

I strech every day on my training, Bereserk. Thanks anyway!

Cyropractic, eh? Well, that's a very, VERY good idea, indeed! I have to try that out. I just have to find a cyropractic! Thank you!
I hope it'll help..

Nice to hear that about my country, thanks! Have you been there? I feel sorry for not seeing jour country yet...

No,it isn't. My first language is Croatian. I'm from Croatia. Many people don't even know where that is...[V]

I have my final English exam today. I'm in the last grade. After that, I get a diploma from Oxford.

Wish me luck! [:)]

Thanks for your advice, AntiG. [;)]
I know I haven't described my technique well. I just don't know how to. I wish I could give some more info.

Btw. How bad is my english?

Wow, 6 months!? Man, thats pretty long. But it was worth it wasnt it [:)]. I would love to hear what technique youve been using, and maybe a few pointers, I have yet to have my first experience.
Again, congrats on your experience!
Take care!

Thanks!
I used no technique that morning, because it was a spontaneous projection. But other times I use quite a different technique than other people. Rope or any other tech I tried didn't work for me as good as my own tech.
First I do some energy work:
1.I stimulate my arms and legs with NEW system.
2.I stimulate my primary energy centers.
3.I do a full body circuit.
This all takes about 10-15 min.

By then my body gets pretty relaxed so I don't have to use any relaxation techniques.

Next:
4. I fall into trance with the falling technique

And then I wait, keeping my mind clear, until the vibrations start. I don't have to wait longer than 1-2 min.

When they start, I do something that may sound silly: I pressure my eyes - that's my exit technique.

I don't quite know how to describe it, but I know anyone can do it anytime. I just close my eye lids and do something with my eyes that causes light vibrations in my ears.

If I do it fully relaxed, it triggers a projection.
Of course, I don't project because pain in my back grows stronger, but I know I'm doing the right thing.

Try it!

And jilola, thank for your advice. I'll try to do it!

How's that? Perhaps during an LD and an OBE you forget the physical sensations and thus experience no backpain? Do you have a bad back?

I used to have a terrible back because of my flat feet(i don't know if that's the correct expression). But now it's OK and my back is normal. My back NEVER hurts except when I have sensations. I do back massages with awareness hands but it doesn't seem to help. I would really appreciate it if someone told me what to do. Today I had vibrations in the morning again. But my back did hurt. I think it has something to do with my position. Yesterday, I was lying on my side and today I was on my stomach.

Anyhow, thank you for your support people!

I think I might have been there!
I'll qoute myself from another topic:
"....This time, I landed in the middle of an ocean. I noticed an island in the distance. It looked tropical. I flew towards it. As I approached it, I started to see a harbour in a cove. I went into it. It must be the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Sun was shining brightly and I could see it's reflection in the water. Water was very bright and full of fish. There were a few yachts sailing around. I could feel the nice breeze on my body. There was a sandy beach. You know, that beautiful yellow sand... Behind the beach, there was a jungle. Truly amazing. I went underwater. At first I was holding my breath but then I realised I don't have to do that. I was swimming with the fish...."

What do you think? Is that API? There's no pyramid, though...
#47
Hi, Tris.

I don't think your experience had anything to do with lucid dreaming. I think you were falling into trance. You probably felt like you were bigger than usual or that your body isn't quite in place. And that's a good thing. You're making progress but I don't think it will help with lucid dreaming.

If you want to have lucid dreams you should program yourself to check reality while dreaming, if you aren't already doing that.

Wish you luck!

Welcome to Dreams! / Help on Lucid dream.
June 03, 2004, 15:00:20
It sounds like you were having a lucid dream because as soon as you realise that you are dreaming, your dream becomes lucid. But it is weird to me that you had fallen asleep after having a lucid dream(meaning you have lost your waking consciousness) and then just normally remembered it after waking up like any ordinary dream. I have lucid dreams for 4 years now, and every single time I had to wake up if I wanted to stop sleeping. I find it impossible to fall into a normal dream after achieving lucidity. I don't know, perhaps it is different with other people...

I've had similar experiences. A couple of times in my life I suddenly got struck by a wave of lucid and extremely vivid dreams. It goes off in about a month. At the time, I didn't know much about dreams or lucid dreaming so I wasn't abled to use it much. But later I have realised that it happens when I sleep at some place for a week or so where I don't usually sleep. And I'm usually very emotional at the time. For example, when I was 7, I was for some reason very afraid that the world will end. I was very scared and I think that caused icreased dream activity.

The same thing happened to me 4 years ago. This time, I decided to researh my dreams a bit more and hold on to this increased dream activity. And I succeded. From then on, I have frequent lucid dreams, almost every night. I suggest you do the same.
