I think I would benefit from that activity. I don't do it so much anymore, but when I was a teenager and started getting into meditation and energy work I would perform this excersise where I would imagine all my problems going into some kind of vault or vehicle and disappearing. Now I am realizing that instead of sitting in bed at night and trying to forget about all these issues in my life, why not try a creative method of solving these issues. I have often found that my meditations can take on new characters and dialogue of its own, so that would not surprise me. Thank you for the share!

Mugwort is an aromatic plant. The herb itself (which is sold dried in many co-ops or health stores in the tea/herb section) does not contain much of the plant's oil which can be toxic in high amounts. You can buy the essential oil which should not be consumed, but steeping the dried leaves and drinking it is thought of to have no harmful effects. Some countries in Asia actually use it to flavor food and I guess some people even smoke mugwort for it's medicinal effects (though I've never done so). In general it is used as a dream herb. It is a mild sedative to promote healthful sleeping patterns (like chamomile or melatonin). It tastes horrible, but I have found it much more effective to drink it like a tea then using it as a herb pillow.

It sounds like you need to stop taking other peoples word as something you have to believe and follow your own path. Things have a way of opening themselves up to you if you in return are open to changes and new life experiences. I think apart of you is shunning such possibilities: a part of you does not believe thus you will not be conscious while having an OBE though you probably will without realizing it (while you are sleeping).

I also had my first OBE at four years old. I had no idea what to call it until I came across the subject of astral projection when I was 12. I still remember it very vividly, though there are quite a bit of OBE's that I do remember so well. I don't see how any of us can prove to you it's real!

Like a great majority of what happens while projecting, I believe it is perception. If I am projecting right out of my body into my room it is what the physical looks likes (by that I mean day or night). If I'm phasing somewhere else it is more at random, and often depends on a lucid dream awakening.

I have come across this theory multiple times studying the subject. It also possible that the universe is finite because it is a sphere and that space and time is three dimensional. The universe is constantly rotating and if you were alive long enough and sat in the same exact spot for billions of years you could travel through every space of the universe and eventually end up back where you started. Even though there is an end to the universe you would never reach it like a linear way because space and this hypersphere is constantly folding in on itself.

I feel like I'm falling. It is a slow sensation of gravity pulling me down. It feels quite good actually.

Eating meat or not is of course a very personal choice. I personally eat meat, but am surrounded more and more by people who or not. That is completely fine, I think vegetarians intentions are great. It is awesome that people are becoming more aware of the impact they have on the world and how they are treating their bodies. Of course becoming a vegetarian has crossed my mind and I have certain morals about eating meat. I very hesitant about eating animal that is unsustainable or unethical: such as shark's fin or foie gras. I try my hardest not to waste any part of an animal, and I am very strict that my son at least finishes the proteins on his plate. I sound like such a hippie at times but I am constantly telling him "An animal died for your dinner, show some respect and do not waste." Just in the past year I have greatly reduced my intake of heavy ingredients, including meat. I give myself smaller portions of everything in general and have felt so much better. I am not constantly hungry anymore and have saved a great deal of money. It's hard to find meat I want to eat because of the area I live in: I do not want to eat meat that is intensively raised. I come from a traditional Texan family that loves their meat, and that is the main ingredient in our meals, but I could not possibly live on mainly on that. I cherish my greens, and have found an amazing connection to the earth through gardening and picking out ingredients at the local farmers market.

Anyways, I think you are doing a smart thing by listening to what your body wants. Some people have a hard time digesting meat and/or dairy.

I honestly feel like politicians have been a main source of feeding propaganda to the people on gun control. It seems like they are going along with all of this gun control debate because it has at least temporarily taken the heat off other (may I be so bold), more important issues at hand. Just looking across the internet the gun issue has gotten more input from citizens then universal healthcare, or the government steeling oil from the middle east and killing anyone who gets in their way. Even more so, how are we going about protecting our children from being mass murdered by lunatics walking into their place of education? Gun control sure the hell is not going to solve any of these problems. It's time that the majority of these people freaking out about their guns being taken away open their eyes to bigger issues in our nation.

I do not have a gun, and have never owned one so of course I'm not really worried about mine being taken away. I'm more concerned the fact that I do not really get a say on any important matters that effect the lives of my family and I.

Although there seems to be a new 'trend' of saying that nothing is real which is essentially true in a metaphysical extent... I am personally growing weary of it as an acceptable answer to everything because it basically answers nothing nor means anything remotely significant to the meaning of existence.

You are not the only one.

I agree with Lionheart. You should not ignore these people, as they probably there for a reason. Maybe even just a brief conversation with them would let you understand there reason for being there thus moving you on to other thing. We don't always get to go exactly where we want to go. Our subconscious sometimes has other plans for us without us realizing.

I am 21. I am just getting myself out of that initial nostalgia. I became pregnant at 17, brought a baby boy into the world right after my 18th birthday. The life where I once partied every night and falling in love with the completely wrong people ashamed me. Even when I tried to write, since I wrote through out middle and highschool, left me feeling BLEH. I did not want to think about the past, just wanted to move away from it. I hardly talk to any of my old best friends. I grew up! Now I am realizing I did not have to let go of everything in my life, including practicing astral projecting which I stopped doing for years.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Finding a Dream Journal
January 03, 2013, 00:04:59
I have a tub of dream journals I've been lugging around with me for years. I think the earliest ones are probably start of 7th grade, I was 11 of 12. I don't like to read them too often because I was clinically depressed back then and cringe at how negative I was! It is good to see how far we have come though, and what lessons we have learned. I also have found trends in my dreams to the things I was going through at the time, or even before they happened. I am proud to say that I am not so much the victim of my dreams now then I was when I was younger. Even If I have a nightmare I handle it much better during the dream and stay calm.

Well, ask yourself this.  Do you think hunting other humans would hinder spiritual progress?

do not animals have a life force within them when you look at an animals does the aura not move? when you ap cannot your pet not go with you? if you pet can go y wouldnt a cow or deer be able to are they not natural beings also? learn how to see auras go to a restraint sit down and watch someone eat watch their aura their spiritual energy die down. does this not mean something? if a animal can ap would that not mean it is a conscious being. if it is a conscious being just like i am a conscious being what would be the difference in hunting a hue/man compared to a rabbit in the forest. would not you say their is a difference in picking an apple from a tree and cutting the tree down to take all the apples?

YES there is a difference between picking an apple from and a tree and cutting down the whole thing. How does this have to do with hunting? He is talking about killing an animal and putting it to good use, he never said he was going to kill it and let its meat go bad. I have heard so many people go off about hunting then turn around and shop for at major superstore chains where the meat & produce definitely goes bad if people do not buy it and has tons of added hormones. Us meat eaters who are more aware of the world and what we eat get most of our meat from a local butcher, where we can have a relationship with the people who are killing and butchering our food and trust in them that the animal was not intensively raised.

Everything has a life force. PLANTS have a life force. They respond more subtly to us but they do respond. So if someone wants to be a vegetarian then that's great for them, that is their life choice, but in the end they should realize they will always be a consumer and their existence will take its toll on the earth. If you are going to eat meat, you should not be in denial about what you are doing. I think it is very honorable for you to seek out your own food (within reason). I am not speaking ill of any of you particularly, but the human race needs to develop a closer relationship with their food and not be so judgmental of what people eat but how they treat it.

I haven't had an intimate dream before, though it's not something I place a lot of weight on. @_@ When I become lucid most of the time I just go along with what's going on because it's entertaining. Although I would love to be able to get myself to fly into the fly, past the clouds and into space. @_@

Very true for me as well. Probably more then 90% of the lucid dreams I have had (and I've had them at least a couple of times a week through my whole life), are spent finishing the story line of the dream. I get so excited that I am literally in this move. There is nothing wrong with it either. I know most people say they want to fly and such but I remember there is a reason I am having this dream in the first place.

That must suck.

Welcome to Astral Pulse.

Being from Portland or fighting lower astral demons?
Totally kidding...

Welcome to the forums. I hope you learn what you are looking to learn. I don't dismiss your experiences as delusional but there is a way to turn them into something beautiful, If you truly want to.

Very awesome experience!

I have had an experiences that start slipping away, then I imagined myself as sort of a sponge soaking up everything around me. Everything instantly became clear and vivid. It was one of the first OBE experiences I felt completely immersed and alive.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: What to do in lucid dreams

Sometimes the first thing I try to do is summon someone I want to see. This has proven to be extremely difficult, such as the person has some of the same features as the person I wish but is in fact a stranger. Technically you can do whatever you want, but it's easier said then done.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Dreaming all the time!
December 31, 2012, 00:09:13
That's very incredible that the two of you are in sync with each others dreams. I have only heard about such a thing in stories, though I completely believe it to be possible.
#48
I have also heard friends who hardly remember their dreams start having very long lucid dreams just this past week. I on the hand have not remembered much this week. I don't know if the date has anything to do with it but it's funny that this topic has come up on more then one occasion just in the past week.

Very amazing. Just last night I was thinking it might be possible to have such vivid dream recall to the point where you remembered the whole night through, even if it felt like days in the dream world when you were only sleeping for eight hours.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: How can I lucid dream?!??
December 27, 2012, 13:06:33
Intention is the biggest tool for me. I don't tell myself to lucid dream, I know I will. I also love to focus on at what point I became lucid in the dream. Did I go into the dream knowing I was dreaming or was there a turning point with significant information that caused me to become aware.
