Welcome to Astral Chat! / Jobs?
May 16, 2002, 01:19:38
I was an excellent auto mechanic for 15 years, rebuilding engines and transmissions. One day I decided to change everything and start new. I moved and got a job as a field service tech for a major public water company.
Which I plan to retire with.
Never had any ambition to go and make a fortune, but I do alright...

I can't seem to write this out properly. So you'll have to read it as jarbled thoughts...

I sensed he was some kind of repairman. Here to fix my problem, but I didn't
want it fixed, stay away!  I won't do it again, I promise... I know I'm not supposed to wake up here, it was a mistake. I'll go back to sleep, please don't hurt me.

Everyone seperates to a point, during normal sleep. We are programmed to remain unconscious during this process. Some people can become visually and consciously "aware" during this event.  Without any effort or plan of doing so.
Being caught in this situation, and then having him walk into the room, made me feel like I did something very wrong!  Like I wasn't supposed to know this place, or know what goes on here.  And he is here like a "Cleaner", or "Fix it"
man, he will erase my memory and cut out parts of me so I can't see this place anymore. That is what gives me the fear and feeling of dread, that his methods are to the extreme and violently evil.

Looking back on these events, and being older and wiser, I still feel the same.
He might have finally did his dirty deed, without me knowing, or I might be wrong about the whole thing and scaring alot of people for no reason. Just take this as someone's view point of an experience they can't explain. And leave it at that...

Hello Grenade01,

Thanks for your story, we have the same history. I too had problems with paralyzation when I was young. It was hell to go through.  I'm 37 now and
haven't had one for a long time, I guess you grow out of it.
I've heard other peoples stories about the shadow guy too, seems like he scares the hell out of you and that's about it. No harm done, but the psycological effects are hard to cope with afterwards. There may be other
types of shadow people that could do something more, but we may have experienced the lesser type, the "Unknown Observer".

Take care,

If you have a song stuck in your head, I hope it's a good one...
I like Steveb's solution, I do that myself.  Controlled breathing,
and feeling your heart beating inside your body has a hypnotic
effect. It's ok to let your mind drift a little, we all do it.

Whatever happens, is coming soon, within the next ten years. We've prepared our spirits through Astral Projection, knowing there is life after death.
But what happens when the supermarkets run out of food? And gas is not available, and our jobs are gone and money no longer has any value.
After a war, or natural disaster any of these things could happen, depending on how devastated the country, or mother earth becomes.
How do we feed our families? or get the neccessities for daily life?
That should be the major concern.
I see everyone collecting into tribes, and when their rations run out, It's tribe against tribe to ensure their own survival. Having to eventually become farmers again, or hunter/gatherers.

Are we prepared for that?

I think there is something to him, meaning an actual entity. I might have just paniced and brought on the fear myself. I always project into the real-time zone. So I don't think he follows me around, or I would see him more often.
I'm old enough now where I could stand up and confront him, maybe thats why he doesn't show himself anymore.  he he he...

I never got a hunch of a name or status of this person.
But I did feel he was very ancient, alot older than what he was dressed as.
I was 14 the first time, I awoke paralyzed, with the normal feeling of being nailed to the bed. My head was pounding like it was going to explode. I saw my bedroom door open, and in he walked, or floated. The whole room became filled with an evil energy that seemed to come from him. A siren of immense volume, ( like an Air Raid alarm from WW2) was now inside my head. He slowly moved to the foot of my bed, turned to face me, and thats when he looked up at me and I saw that he had no face!  I was horrorified.
He turned and moved to the corner of the bed and made an effort to move up along side of me, but I was able to break the paralyzation and jumped out of bed and ran into the kitchen. My head was clicking and throbbing like I was still partially out of my body.

The second time was several years later, I had a spontaneous wake up at the ceiling, that I managed to salvage. I made it out the window, it was in the morning, so the sunlight was very intense. I went up near the top of a tall tree down the street from my house, I was calm and curious, I usually don't project in the daytime. I noticed the leaves had a glow to them, like individual auras on each leaf. I was up about thirty feet from the ground. Something made me look down the street, a feeling I had to. About five houses away, walking along the sidewalk, were three of them. Dressed exactly the same, their legs were moving in unison, like marching. They were coming towards me, I felt the fear building up as they got closer, but got yanked back to my body before anything else happened.
I haven't seen them since, I hope I'm finally off their list.

I've seen him twice, out of maybe 50 projections.
He is close to six feet tall, wearing an overcoat and brimmed hat. Looks like a gangster from the 30's or 40's, his head is always slightly tilted down. He is a dark grey almost smoky color, and his face is featureless. He seems to move in slow motion, and gives me a feeling of dread. But he never came close enough to touch me, just close enough to scare.

I use a deep out breath, and feel my body sink into the bed. This downward movement gets me relaxed. Once the body is relaxed, I use the inhale breath to move my mind upwards. Like a car jack, I inhale and move up, and pause when I exhale, and then move up further on the next inhale. Never moving down.

I get out consciously probably once a month, but it goes in spurts. I do better in the summer than in the winter. I'll have all my sponteneous projections from july thru october. Then nothing all winter. Full moons don't seem to have an effect as much as the temperature and humidity does.
I'm sure if I practiced more, I could do better. But I'm lazy, I don't push myself to do this stuff like I used to when I was in my twenties.

The first experiences were spontaneous, when I was around 12, in 1976. I'd go to bed, close my eyes, and start seeing Laurel and Hardy. OK, start laughing now. I'll wait...
But it was that shift of seeing fat guy, thin guy, fat guy, thin guy, over layering each other so quickly that brought the onset of the vibrations and paralyzation. And my stomach would get queezy and I hated it!
I didn't know anything about OBE's yet, so I went through all of this for the next 3 years. The waking up paralyzed, with sirens going off in your head, the shadow figure that enters the room just to scare the wits out of you, Waking up at the ceiling, or on the walls, and thinking " I'm DEAD" got to get back to my body!
Browsing in the high school library one day, I happened to notice a book about life after death. I read it and found out about Astral projection. I went to the public library and read all the books I could on the subject.
One day I decided to try a conscious projection, but to have proof I put a playing card in a box hanging from the ceiling. I read this book about Ingo Swan, a psycic who performed the same experiment for a scientist.
I got out in about 10 minutes of trying, but I was only halfway between my physical body and the box. Being my first conscious projection, I started flapping my arms, but it worked. I got up to the box and looked down inside and saw the 8 of diamonds. I immediately woke up back in the chair I was sitting in, my head was slumped down as if sleeping. I stood on the chair and took down the box and looked inside,  it was! it was! ...the 8 of diamonds.

There are alot of people who live just going about their routines, and if you disturb them, they will get angry. Seems like they come to a point in their lives where they feel safe if they just keep repeating the same thing over and over again. You may subconsciously receive this when around such people, and try to wake them up. ( as being helpful). By saying shocking things to them, maybe in your dreams you know they are not real, so you don't persue this.
I don't see any problems with being eccentric or making people wake up and become thinkers again. Life can become an illusion, if you let it control you.
Always take two steps back, and see what's around you!

I used to have my best friend watch me. I did this because of the shaking and vibrations, I thought I was really moving physically. I had him sit in a chair while I layed on the bed. We tried this five different times, two of the times I managed to project. He said besides a normal twitch of a finger or foot the only thing he could see was my breathing changed alot. He didn't see me shake or vibrate, or see me float up either.

I don't know if you can take energy from another person but I have something else that happens to me...

At night when laying in bed with the wife, it will be quiet, and she is asleep and very still. I will lay there and think ok, I'll try to project.  I'll start mentally moving energy from my legs up to the point behind my eyes, where I need it to be. I'll feel the shift and the vibrations will start. Right then my wife will start to toss and turn, like she can't get confortable, roll this way and that way. Pull the covers around, kicking her legs, it's very annoying!
This happens almost every time, like she can feel when I'm moving energy around. I don't have an explanation for this yet, I'm still working on whats happening to her.
Either my aura is expanding and annoying hers, or I could be sucking up energy from around the room and she feels the current or waves flowing around her.

Yikes!  tough question...

To project yourself, you need to first get into the drivers seat, and buckle yourself in. Sounds like your standing outside the vehicle, watching it drive away.

When relaxing, concentrate on removing all sensation of you laying on the bed. When this is done you should feel your body weight, but not the bed underneath.
Then move your focus to the point behind your brow and eye area. Concentrate on what you see behind your closed eyelids, move all of your bodily senses through this space your looking at.
You will feel like a whole tiny person inside your head, with no awareness of your physical body laying on the bed. Like being cut off at the neck( for lack of better terms).
This is the driver's seat! The departure area, when you feel this displacement of being very tiny, inside a vast area (your head), you are buckled in.

Hey Spastral, that's pretty funny..
That used to happen to me too.  The old pogo stick would wake up, right when the vibrations would start. Then I would have to concentrate on relaxing that area too. But that's OK, it means your producing energy. Just try to move that energy up to your stomach area, it should feel like a warm spot.
Then continue with your regular routine...

Hello Blue Light,
I was baptised a catholic, grew up going to a baptist church,  baptised again in my teens as a christian, followed a touched by the spirit christian church for a few years. It's all basically the same, tithe ( or give all your money) so the preacher and his wife can live an upperclass lifestyle and drive a jaguar. While we middleclass sit there and wait for Mr. preacher to enlighten our lives like his is. Which never happens...  It's like a trap, he makes you rely on God for everything. If there is an apple tree across the street, you get off your butt, and go over and pick the tastiest one and eat it!  No middleman involved.
I think the bible has some true stories, but it is filled mostly with old superstitions and tales written by religeous thinkers who wanted less anarchy in society which eventually led to laws and government.

I'm not saying I'm an athiest, I just believe If you are true to yourself and others, and enjoy life and let others enjoy theirs, that is all we need.

OBE's had nothing to do with church or God.  It only showed that the mind is very unlimited in its pontential. I discovered a flip side to normal daily life, going to bed at night was now an adventure of discovery. I had the great curiosity of youth, and the energy to persue it.

Very interesting...

I had an encounter back when I was 22.  I was at home watching Johnny Carson one night. I got up and headed to the bedroom, sat at the edge of the bed to make sure the alarm clock was set correctly. I heard my closet door open up, I looked to see what the heck was doing this.  Something black came out very fast and hit me square in the chest, I fell back onto the bed.  This weird kind of animal was sitting on me and shaking me at the shoulders with its arms. I couldn't get him off me, and I couldn't move or speak.  It looked like a small 4 foot tall Bigfoot, hairy with long arms, but the face looked more like a wolf or bear mixed, with red eyes. It was screeching and very ticked off !!   Finally it stopped, it looked towards the closet, and jumped off my chest and ran at full speed back into it.

I just layed there thinking...  What did I do?   Is there some kind of secret door inside my closet?  How do I keep this thing from coming back?

What is really strange is:   I was wide awake!  I wasn't really tired. I was just watching a comedy show on TV.   And something like this ever happening, never crossed my mind.

But I do believe it really happened. But what that thing was, I don't have a clue.    ...I do feel that was its regular form.
