Welcome to Dreams! / Very Annoying dream

There is probably something you are trying to "WORK" at that may be causing you some stress or anxiety.

Have you felt that you were working hard on something and getting no where fast (as shown in your delay on the expressway to work).

This is the best interpretation I can make with the little details of your dream (believe it or not, there's probably a lot more details that you missed.. try writing your dreams down after waking).
The more details the better. Also, try to describe your emotions in great detail when telling your dreams.  I find that the only thing that never need interpreting is your emotions. They are real, whether asleep or awake.  They are literal.

I hope this helps.

WOOOW!!  All that and it was only 5 minutes???

My last lucid dream (2 weeks ago) lasted 5 minutes.  That's a pretty long time in the astral world.

Good for you MajorTom

That sounds like a good book!  Please keep sharing with us what you discover along your journey.

I too, am seeking my higher self. My goal is to "self-actualize" before I die (and maybe I won't have to keep living more lives).

:-)

Thank you for sharing.

TheLou,

My intuition tells me that you need to take a short break.  Stop trying for at least 2 weeks.  I know that may be hard seeing that you are dedicated but I felt the need to tell you think.

Blessed be..

Then there is another option. You can relax, forget about desperately needing to have an OBE like you have a deadline, just maintain interest, maintain practice, and objectively just let yourself experience what happens without expectations.
Are OBEs real? Not until you've experienced one.

the journey is also worth the effort.

You could just decide that if OBEs are real, you'll find out at the end of your life.

Wow.. such strong and moving statements...  My advice would be to piggy-back off what you said about the journey.  TRY TO ENJOY THE JOURNEY!  If you have been trying for two years then I am going to assume that you must know EVERYTHING about OBE's and have read almost everything published with regards to the topic then, right?  If not, maybe you are being blocked for a reason.

ummm... errrr..aaaaaahhh...yeeeaaaaaahhhh... a'hem.

I think probably (and I mean a strong PROBABLY) not and if he did want us to know whether he did, it would have been as painfully clear as the miracles he performed and the truth he spoke.  Jesus had nothing to hide so if he did have relations with Mary (or any other woman) don't you think he would have said so?

I mean, asking this question is similar to asking if Jesus smoke pot!!!  I mean, it seems to "help" people get in touch spiritually and it's a natural plant and widely debated, created by God... RIGHT?  The question itself makes me want to take a shower (to wash off the visual I get, it's kind of spookie).

Other than that, without asking Jesus directly, I don't think there is a right/wrong answer to this one.

Yes, we dream of celebrities as:

A.  Wish fullfillment
B.  What ever stands out in that celebrities personality could represent a similarity in you at that time in your life!

Don't use drugs!  PERIOD.

Smoke & chemicals only pollutes the body.  Your vibrations will be low I do agree!!!

Try to wean yourself off that junk.  In time, when your body is free of garbage, you will find meditation far greater with a pure body then with help from chemicals.

Blessed be....

I want to be a motivational speaker. Perhaps we can email each other so you can give me some tips on the industry for this type of work?

Have you ever received a telepathic message? If so, how did this message appear to you?

Why don't your use you lucid dreaming or telepathy to get them to the website? That would be a good sign...wouldn't it?

No, I'm only under the suspicion of dream sharing at this point.  When I had my first WILD I tried to reach him but my excitement woke me up. I have been lucid but am trying to use that time for other things.  I will eventually do that though.  I'm trying to take this adventure slowly.

Well, what I do that finally worked for me is that I do about 20-30 RC's a day.  I say to myself "I am not dreaming and I know this because ____________"  Now you have to fill in the blank. Choose three things to check. I go for my hands, then see if I can fly and then check my reflection to see if it's different.  I know.. I know. a lot of work but after doing it for one week I had a successful lucid dream and the same the following week.  The latest one lasted 5 minutes.  Not bad huh. It's a lot of work but anything worth having is worth working for...

Dream on folks......

Thanks,

thelou

Thelou, it's the same thing (oobe and obe) it's just a typo on my part.

And yes, one has to be EXTREMELY careful when sharing these things cause you can freak someone out!!  I'll be cool and wait to see if the "sign" are there before speaking.

Interesting you should mention this.  I'm surprised I didn't in my first post.  I've read a lot about twin flames. This is a deeper connection that soul mates. We have many soul mates but only ONE twin flame!

I'm in search of mine.  Wish me luck.  Many lives can be had before finding and connecting.

Yes, I use to get "wound up" trying too hard.  One person said to me "ENJOY THE JOURNEY".  So, instead of worrying and trying to hard, just enjoy the process and stop trying to do it all at once.

Ok, I can try that but it's strange to say that if I know I'm not dreaming due to RC's?  Wont this cause more confusion?

I have dated men of all kinds (attractive, not attractive, intellectual, strong, fun, etc) but I have yet to have a relationship with someone spiritual like me.

I decided not to date anymore until I find my spiritual equal.  Otherwise, I'de rather not waste my time nor my energy.

I also agree.. being with people that I have met who are spiritual are more fun to be around than family members.  However, all the spiritual people I have met are usually older woman (except for my best friend who is my age and she and I on the same path spiritually). I have yet to meet any spiritual men.  Go figure

Welcome to Dreams! / Lucid Dream Characters

Also, have any of you been successful in prolonging your lucid dreams?  Mine take a lot of concentration to keep and only last between 30 seconds and a couple of minutes.
Asif

Hi Asif,

Funny thing, I had one successful WILD and when I entered into the dream, I was on a mission to find someone that I think I may be dream sharing with.  I saw a character and he knew exactly who I was looking for.  My voice was very raspy sounding too.  I asked the character where the person was and he told me.  Just as I try to dash (knowing I only had a few seconds because my lucid time is short) he kept trying to talk to me by asking questions about things that didn't matter to me. It was like he was intentionally trying to hold me off). Well, it worked because by the time I could get away from him my WILD experience ended.

As for prolonging lucidity, I was lucid a couple of days ago and IT LASTED 5 MINUTES!! The difference is that I looked at my feet.  I noticed I was bare foot.  In all my years of dreaming, I NEVER looked at my feet.  This was the first and my lucidity was 5 minutes.  Next time I'm lucid I'm looking down at my feet.  Maybe that's what "grounded" me to stay in longer.

Try it and let me know if it worked for you.

I must say, the breathing thing sounds like it's worth a try.  I had a hard time becoming Lucid until I decided to be diligent in doing my RC.  Now, everytime I hear a beep on my timer I do a RC.  Because of this, I am now lucid once a week and will work on it until I get it every night (or everytime I dream and recall which is every night)

Just wondering if you are dreaming isn't enough to trigger lucidity for a lot of people.  I dreamt that I was experiencing something weird and all I could say in my dream was "I am not dreaming" over and over again. Why did I do this?  Because when I was awake I recited that over and over so that I would know I'm not dreaming.  Checking the body seems to work best for me (rather than words or trying to be rational while in a dream state).

My question:  CAN YOU DO TOO MANY RC'S IN A DAY?

It seems to be quite rare to connect a person in your dreams with another person, but why not? Anything is possible. By recording (and remembering dreams) I pay attention to waking life events that may connect with someone I have dreamed about.

Hey Wisp:
Oh my goodness, that is so helpful.  I record 90% of my dreams and YES, some waking life events have connected with my dream events (and they involve the person I think I'm dream sharing with).

Incredible.  So simple how come I didn't think of that.

Now, as for me being rare, well yes that's possible (I say that with a sense of humor).

Thanks for the thought and the website.

Ok, I played with this when I was a kid. What kid didn't?  I took it as a joke. The dang thing NEVER worked for me. I guess because I truly didn't believe a board of wood and a piece of plastic could result in real answers from the unknown.

Today, being at the level that I'm at spiritualy now.. I wouldn't even touch the dang thing. Heck, just the name along spooks me out.  Good for those who can actually contact spirits of light.  I don't know how you do it.

Be careful with these magically things.

I belong to another message board  www.dreamviews.com
and my name is Blissful there as well and my quote is:  You Reap What You Sow.

This is my favorite quote.  It basically states.. you get what you give....  you do and you see consequence (do good, get good consequences, do bad... get bad consequences).

Love and you will feel love and receive love
Work hard and you will see the results of hard work
Treat people poorly and you will get back what you deserve for that.

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.  Such an easy concept but so hard for people to understand it's truth and to live by this.
