Did you stay focused on meeting your higher self throughout the experience?
I have a feeling you instead got distracted and amazed at the green planet on your way there (noticed today in the preview to Peter Pan they warp through space to get to their 'neverland,' similar to an AP method).  Your focus may have changed to curiosity about outer space.  I can't get a clear image from your description of the black disk, was it sucking in matter and blowing out white energy?  It'd be really cool if that was a true vision of a black hole - all that matter has to go somewhere, why not shred matter into astral form?  You said the Jupiterlike planet couldn't hold life, did you think this at the time?  Such a thought would lead directly into curiosity about aliens, and your vision of one.
It's also possible the planets were symbolic of your higher self as you noted.  I think you'd be the best one to interpret in that case, but note the heart chakra is green energy.  May have something to do with it.

I don't think you warped spacetime or really moved that fast from point A to B.  Many philosophies conclude this world is an illusion anyway, and we're always at point A no matter what.  :)

Is your Grandfather very open minded?
I'd say call him about your "dream" and see if he can confirm it for fun.  If you can, note the exact time you woke up from the OBE, and calculate the time zone difference.  Call him soon before he forgets :)

SpiralSpirit,
Are you a caring person that often tries to heal/help others at your own expense?  Maybe all this time you've been absorbing other's pain so they don't have to suffer as much.  I have a friend that does this.  Since it worked automatically, maybe your soul does this much more often than you realize?

I'd say you were OBE, well on your way to the astral..
It's blurry when you don't have much energy.  My problem is its too dark to see much instead of being blurred.  Every night try loading your 3rd eye with energy or at least focusing on it.  Even if you dont OBE, it will make your dreams much more vivid and real.  And when you do, you'll probably have more conscious control as well.
Dreams can morph into obe and vice versa.. read the part of Bruce's book on two strands of memory being mixed up into one as you awaken?

Btw.. I heard a long time ago that the original idea of Halloween was a Pagan event.  You dress up as what you fear most, and look in the mirror to face it.  Then walk around learning to identify with that person/creature.  I think we ought to go back to that.

This guy's entire website is amazing:
http://www.jimwarren.com/
This is the page I originally found him at, complete with storyline:
http://www.thegreatillusion.com/

The colorful staircase to the sky in one of the first pages is his.
The one with the unicorn reflection is my favorite:

Astral above, Physical below.  Enjoy!

It's also possible this was a real experience.  Read some of Ginny's posts on doing retrievals.  The "him" was most likely your guide, taking you to see your brother in hopes that you could get through to him.  Some people commit suicide to escape, but some do it to literaly "end it all" and hope to stop existing.  This not being possible, the closest they can get is a dazed sleeplike state, isolating themselves mentally from the universe.  When you paniced, you ran a high risk of sending that paniced feeling to your brother, which isn't very helpful.. and your guide whisked you away before it could scare him.  You may be taken there again if you learn to keep your emotions stable.
You asked is your brother dead in the astral.. that's kindof an oxymoron, if he's in the astral at all, his soul is not dead, but may want to be.  The feeling of being in deep space is you getting a sense for how isolated he feels.

This time I don't think it was demons...
Sounds like exactly what you're saying, the murdered girl found the fiance to be a channel.  She found the closest person to her brother and adamantly tried to tell him what happened and who it was so he won't get away with it.  Of course it never comes across clearly and sounds like frantic babbling, and wrist-cutting to try to 'end the pain' of it all.  Since Jennifer probably can't be reached and the sister probably can't communicate, you might try an old fashioned exorcism.  Or get the brother to address his sister understandingly, if he's open to the belief.  If the sister suffered from neg attacks in her life, they might be carried over to Jennifer, making her situation even worse.
Remember most negs are human.

I think it was Whitewolf that first mentioned this...
You give them positive and negative energy, and neither work, so try this:  earth energy.  Visualize the energy of nature rising up and pouring into them.  I don't know why it works, but, they really don't like it.  Surround yourself with it and do the core-image removal technique posted on this site, outside the forum, to destroy their connection with you.  using this energy will build your confidence, lessen fears, and thus lessen their hold over you.  Good luck!

I think it's nearly impossible to distinguish in a normal dream.  Any intelligence could be your own or a guide.
If you were to become lucid, near or at the point of controlling the dream yourself, it will be easy to recognize foreign influence.  Sometimes when I try to change things, the dream self-corrects or I feel resistance.  This is simply either my subconscious or my guide.  Once I was in a lucid dream, on a bus, and a passenger 'felt' different from the rest of the fake animated people.  He didn't contribute to the plot and appeared halfway through, just sitting there and seemed very dark.  I paused the dream and yelled at him directly to get out, and it did :)  I doubt any neg-created dream would be elaborate and full of plot.. I think the only reason one would create a dream is to induce a level of fear and lack of control.  If all it's energy were spent creating a dream, it wouldn't have the energy to sap yours.
Just thought of something... Bruce speaks of some core-images not being your own, created by a neg.  I wonder if the process of implanting one would involve a dream sequence, designed to make a certain fear or deep emotion, and we're rarely 'lucky' enough to remember it?
#35
I can't tell which emotion is the problem...
Do you vengefully wish the novices will be taught a lesson, thus allowing the negs to stay?
Or is it with compassion you wish the novices will learn, and feel the need for the negs to carry this out?
Either way, focus on the emotions that need/want the negs to stay, and destroy them all, even being overly compassionate is a negative emotion.  Needing to help people is still a need.  A need for a karmic retribution is obviously an emotion that will only fuel them.  Detatch all emotion from the novices, it's not worth the pain it's causing you.  Someone else can teach them.
Also try the core image removal technique, free on the site.  Good luck!

Sounds like you picked one of your hardest blocks to start out with :)
Just curious.. was the block in your throat area?  That would relate to the blue color.  As you symbolically tear the memory apart, it's tearing apart all the emotions that link to it all at once.  The heart pounding etc. is normal.  However I don't know what the light was.  In my experience, I'll reach a black void of fear and the emotional rush will stop.  I then picture lighting a match, lighting the area to 'face the fear' and continue until there isn't any emotion left.  I'd suggest letting it absorb your awareness again and fully feeling all emotions that pour from it.. it'll slowly drain like a bucket of water and never come back.  Or if you still can't get it to turn, focus on a smaller issue, like the fear alone or embarassment alone.
#37
Not that hard to sort out.  Negs can look and talk like an angel, but can never feel like one.  One book I found says to 'look into their eyes,' windows to the soul even in the astral, and you'll get a feel for who they really are.  I've never felt a neg capable of compassion.
#38
If this was a normal dream produced by your subconscious, this would be the interpretation. (Reduce everything to basic plot and action)
You're with old friends, then a demon possesses you/jumps among you all.  - You're scared current or future demons will ruin your current or future friendships.  Dead people probly just enhanced the fear factor.  Probation - No one, not even the law can protect you from this demon, you feel like theres no way to stop it.  Score to settle - your mind justifies the attacks maybe?  Negs leaving -*shrug.

However, powerful spirits can actually create dreams.  Once I was dreaming of being in a dark hallway with doors all around, with bright numbers, floating through.  I became lucid and upon trying to control the dream I woke up, and felt energy being drained.  It's like it tried to keep me on a certain level of consciousness to best do its thing.

Could also be literal, in the end anyway.  From what little I know of black magic, demons can be asked to do favors in return for your energy.  It's possible some guy sent one to attack you, then was able to protect himself from it's return.  The ghost, having nowhere better to go, preferred to sap you instead, at least until it can reconnect with the sender.  Maybe it feels a bit sorry? heh.
Ever get involved with magic or others who did?  Do you know of the guy the ghosts speak of in real life?

Sounds just like Robert Bruce's Rope Technique.
One should be in the mind awake, body asleep state, then imagine a rope above your torso and get a tactile feel for it, and start climbing nonphysically.  Sounds like your guide is right on track :)

Here's an alternate explanation...
Lorax, you had a religious upbringing.  So your idea of an angel is more the typical Christian version, a messenger, rather than an intrinsicly wise and godlike being.
I now have the guts to bring this up thanks to the pendulum post, that went on to describe the gods of the Bible as aliens.  Your comment about their robes and Eden reminded me of a book, Gods of Eden, that theorizes that what really happened was when they gained intelligence, they saw that they were naked, and everyone else was robed.  Therefore, they're trapped in a zoo, under their rules and tried to escape.  If that god had the 'presence' that Robert talks about, they'd never need to be fearful.
McArthur's post interested me as well.  The quotes imply something's been feeding off humans since our creation.  I found similar thoughts channelled on Spiritweb.org before.
First, yes I used to watch Sightings too much [:)]  But from what I pieced together on all the ufo abduction reports (which begin like forced OBE's), it could easily be concluded that a dying race of Greys are pawning off our energy, having become so emotionless they can no longer reproduce.  Cow mutilations and most abductions relate to the species' reproductive system.  If we were to connect this with the idea they are the Gods of the Bible, would it be such a stretch to think the whole religion was originally designed to harvest energy?  God demands we both love and fear him, and pray and think of him everyday.  We must worship and give sacrifice.  We are not meant to be happy (John 12:25 "He who loves his life will lose it..." -Jesus).  Let this holy ghost share your body for life.
The question is, is it possible the bat/angels were 'angels' by Christian definition afterall?  That losing your connection to 'god' really did make you feel better?
However, the mental action required to do so, without replacing the image of god with a better one, would sever your connection to the real god a bit as well, resulting in lost keys and such [:)].
I would suggest reading Robert's post again, and getting a feel for what real angels are.  A guide should also have some degree of compassion and warmth.  Don't settle for less.
Of course, this is just a theory of mine.  Sunday school has reformed the scary image of god into one so loving that many would connect with the highest of gods instead, wether it be the biblical god or not, so I'm not blaming the religion.  It's just something that's been on my mind for years now.

Forgot to mention...
I'd feel silly ever doing any of that in physical reality (putting sand around my room, etc).  I don't see the need for it since it's all mental anyway, and it works ok with just visualization.  Instead of actually doing the above, I just picture myself doing it.  Don't let the weird ritual stuff be a roadblock.

Just curious beavis.. have you had good experience conquering negs, or you havent had the chance to try yet and want to?  What have you experienced so far?
J-man: yes, once i was suddenly aware of something in my room pounding me with it's fists.. it didnt really hurt, but caught me quite off guard.. and i sensed it had to do with a girl in class that was jealous of me, who did have the background to send such a thing.
Nay: what are your thoughts on a living neg?  by that i mean a psychic vampire, someone who intentionally drains energy out of people to feel stronger.  havent you been around someone that just feels naturally draining?  if that's possible, why can't it happen when they're dead too?
Naturechick: i guess one would look at beavis's profile, maybe read a few more posts of his, and try to get a sense for where and who he is.  then when you have a connection, you'd still have to convince your local neg to bother, maybe tell it this guy has TONS of energy just going to waste [:)]  The problem is why would it stay?  Only two options.. banish or lock it away somehow, which im not sure is even possible, or beavis would have to talk to it and 'send it to the light' so it doesnt Want to come back, i suppose.

Tippa, I can relate.  My experiences were simpler and short-lived though. It was definitely a negative entity(s) both trying to punish 'you' and taking your energy.  It's possible you really did hurt them in the past, but most likely you just have something similar to that person and they're too blind with hate to see clearly, wanting someone to blame.
I'd also advise you paste your post into the Psychic Self Defense section.  You'll find similar experiences posted there too.

I was curious about that too.
I noticed the feeling of "ascending" into the astral was a positive, going up feeling.. so once I tried the reverse.
I went from the usual near-physical level and went down both into the earth and vibrationally, vision went dark, and I started seeing faces and got a very creepy feeling.  The fear was enough for me to abort back into my body, and I've never tried again.
Maybe I simply went to a place of lesser awareness where ghosts and comatose people go, or there was something to it.  Either way I'll let someone else explore further :)

I once heard that Wiccans believe that, instead of the physical at the bottom and each higher level having a parallel dark side, that we're actually in the middle, with gradually higher purer planes above us and the negative astral below us, neg mental, neg god-level.... scary thought.

The Great Spider is real!  Doesnt anyone watch Southpark??  It's the Catholic God.
If you want them gone quick, I think someone's suggestion of kissing their pentagram would work the best.  But I'd advise having some fun with them anyway.  Yes, they are trying to help, so why not 'help' them back?  I was at IHOP once and a lady leaned over the booth to inform me that Jesus loves me.  She had a whole group with her, and my friends and I got into it for over 30mins.  She told me a story of being at a bar and seeing a lonely man, then sending the light of god at him and he burst out crying and later converted.  Instead of the expected response, I told her that she was manipulating energy and that was a Satanic practice.  This caught her off guard and she had no rebuttle, so she left soon after :)
For the peace approach, maybe send them a pulse of pure unconditional love, and ask them if they've ever felt it before.  If not, offer Bruce's book as your 'bible,' smile and walk away.

Look at it from the perspective of your average athiest.
The world is solid, your imagination is just that, and when you die you cease to exist, and therefore fear it.
The possibility of OBE/ESP is what got me to start looking for answers.  Just using the chakras proved imagination could affect reality.  My first OBE made me lose my fear of death.  My first AP proved places outside the physical world do exist.  Trying to OBE (energy work, concentration) led me to self-healing.  I certainly wanted the 'power' to be an invisible spy at one time, but to get there, I had to remove more emotional energy blocks and inner fears.  So I wouldn't say OBE is mostly for power and curiosity chasers, that's just what draws them in.
If I could OBE all the time, then what?  Well, I'd hook up with my guides and be shown things in a much clearer way that lead to real fulfillment.  Supposedly, there are astral healing centers, a great reason for AP.
As to how OBE fits into the master plan.. for one, it keeps you from falling into the illusion and doubting anything past the physical is real.  Another idea... imagine if OBE was commonplace.  If my friend could spy on me and said how, I'd certainly want to try it.  Some dogmatic religions would fall and science would be expanded.  Many people, with whatever motive, would indirectly be improving themselves spiritually and get a boost on their spiritual path.  I'd say that's a great plan :)

This post is the first I'd ever heard of psychic vampires.  Very informative, but I still have some questions...
If a person were plagued by negs that drained too much energy, and knew enough about energy to steal it but not to get rid of the cause, would they be termed a psychic vampire?
Anyone deceased that has run out of their remaining etheric energy and wishes to stay becomes a vamp/neg.  If they stayed this way for a long time, then incarnated, is it possible this behavior pattern would continue?
For vamps that are simply 'born that way,' is there a common personality/ emotional trait that causes it?  Like a problem with the base chakra?

I think I was 6 years old when I fell asleep with the question "What is Heaven like?" stuck in my head.  I had a short dream right after - I was in a white cloudy environment, like the typical Heaven, with three saintlike people smiling at me.  They told me "Heaven is whatever you want it to be."  Much later I lost my fear of death(unknown/ nonexistence) with my first OBE.
To be more specific, from what I learned from researching Near Death Experiences, you always OBE first.  From there, you either go through the light tunnel or skip it to become a ghost for a while.  After the light tunnel, the only common qualities are a life review and a peaceful environment.  The details are all specific to religion and the person.  I guess it takes place in the astral.
I vaguely remember Robert Monroe finding one of the highest dimensions, full of blinding silverwhite light energy, angels, and describing it as Heaven.  It read similar to a NDE.  Think it's possible to go up first (higher levels) to ease the transition, then down (into belief-system territories)?

This reminds me of a friend who took a little too much drugs.
His mind was enlightened to the fact that this world is an illusion.  It's also HIS illusion, and he came to the belief that most likely, no one else is real but him.  Emotionally, he wasn't ready for such thoughts.  He interpreted this as feeling alone in the universe, and felt justified in lying to others and hurting them, since they and their reactions aren't real anyway.  He didn't go too far with it or anything, but it made him depressed.
Looking back, I should have told him that others are a part of him, and by hurting them he hurts himself more n more.  Had he taken a more natural path, perhaps his emotions would have cought up and he'd feel increasingly content and whole as he gained such knowledge.
Not the same I know, but maybe the story could help in some way.

KP, I think you and Neg are actually agreeing in a way.
He's saying you're trying to reach god by mental actions alone, instead of I guess something more real and substantial like having God right in front of you for conversation.  In comparison to that, kundalini alone isn't much.
In the Christian model, it isn't possible to become god, or even get close, so having him 'there' is the ultimate.  You can think and theorize your way into a religion (thinking vehicle) but it won't mean much until you experience something.  But you have...
In the Newage model, raising kundalini and self awareness are paths to becoming purer and more enlightened, becoming more like a god every step of the way.
One path "finds god" and the other "finds god in himself," so I don't think either is meant to be offensive.
