Quote from: ItinerantI ran in to this problem last night, I was doing energy work and then suddenly I was looking around the room, somewhat disoriented . I looked up and this kid was waving at me frustrated like he was trying to get my attention and couldn't. It shocked me pretty bad to have some one standing there, and I snapped back in to physical reality.

My eyes were closed, but I could see the room perfectly as it really was (other than a slight blurriness) from the exact position I was physically seated in.  Had the same thing happen to me once before during meditation, but never considered it might be an AP up until now.

Alot of similar things like that have happened to me.  My guess is just loosing awareness during the exit, and than gaining awarness again once your out. So for you, it seems like nothing has happened, but really, you're already out.

Google is your best friend.

So is this forum.

But honestly, Astral dynamics is the way to go. Ask your parents to buy it for you, its a book, and you are learning.  It will answer I bet 99% of the questions you have.

Carefull andali, dont want people to get the wrong Idea about bwgen, or other binary beats.

I doubt its harmful to your health, when your ingest drugs they are altering the chemicals in your brain.  This is not the case.

I think you may be "addicting" just because it is an intersting and new concept that is fun to tinker with, nothing more.

At night is when alot of people AP,
this trick is just staying awake instead of just falling asleep. But its not exactly that simple.  I'd recomend you buy RB's book Astral Dynaimcs.  It is worth the money and covers many, many things.

can it actually mimic LSD?

would this be listening to it while you go to sleep and have a weird dream

or would you listen to it during the day and it would, i dont know change your perception?

Im very intrigued

Exactly as frank said.

Also, when phasing into MABA remember to clear your surface mind, and not allow any verbal thoughts to surface. Another variation on focusing on breathing, is instead focusing on your heart beat, which is what I do.

Just focus on the beat, nothing else. Just as focusing soley on the breathing, this also helps to keep your surface mind free from thoughts.

I feel heavyness around my body, a different type of thinking, my awarness sometimes shifts by itself from my head to my stomach. this is usually when the vibes kick in for me.

Quote from: blullSince I started APing about 5 months ago, I have had a very good many OBEs.  All of them, from waking up early in the morning, and projecting while I am still half asleep (but awake enough to look at the clock, and decide to try and fall through my bed!)  Also, quite a few OBE directly from lucid dreams (forcing myself back to my body, and falling through my bed)

I have had some life changing projections, as well as quick ones, and even some where I get slingshotted from my body uncontrollably once I exit.  My problem is quite oftem my projections, even though there is exit symptoms, and I know im awake before because I check the clock (slowly tilt my head) before I exit and verify it after, my OBEs are very dream like and I very often see people I know in real life, and it turns very quickly into a dream setting.  Kind of like a lucid dream, but exit sensations etc lead me to believe otherwise.

I am thinking that maybe I do actually exit, but because of my state of mind, maybe i drift back into my body very quickly and seamlessly enter a lucid dream or dream.

Please, any opinions?

Ben

Could be reality fluctuations....
I'd say take a glance at the back of your hands when you feel it start to turn just into the least bit of a dream. That sends a pulse of energy to your physical and strengthens the conection.  Also talk yourself through what your doing, keeping a running commentary of things you are doing step by step so you wont get distracted by something.

Quote from: NeoSaturnwhen you people AP do you actually feel you going out of your body and control your soul like you would with muscles, or do you do it all with your mind, because i got a great audiotape, and i don't know which of it that i felt was real.

An advanced thank you for all of you.

When I've APed, I feel the vibrations come on gradualy, and than they get stronger and stronger until its pretty intense. After a little bit I start to feel like a tiny point of awarness, or conscienceness inside my body, usually around my stomach/solarplexis area. For me, it feels as though I am just a tiny tiny spec trapped inside some huge shell[my physical body] that I am in the center of.

From there, I make myself feel a sense of riseing up, or falling down.  I imagine what it would actualy feel like to slowy rise like a simple balloon, not just visualize, but specificly feel the feeling, if that makes any sense.  From there its just green light go!

Believe it or not but you've always had alot of dreams at night, just failed to remember them or "download(as RB says)" them into your physical body. Just imagine about all the dreams you've been missing out on.

QuoteIt's gotten to the point where i look forward to sleeping JUST to see what i dream about.

I agree, isn't it fun?

Just keep on practicing.

do or do not. There is no try.

Instead of spending time posting on this forum to ask us to help you motivate yourself why not just spend some time trance meditating.

if it helps,
I started meditating at night becuase I had trouble sleeping and this helped alot.  This is not good for longterm though because you start to associate meditating with sleeping.  just a thought.

Okay, I'm much more intuitive out of body I guess. :)  I just can't find the .wav file formats for the presets. I look into the bwgen directory and there's just system and executable files.

Thanks so much in advance.

open bwgen, and save them as wavs

Quote from: ArosI have to say, and I certainly don't wish to sound ungrateful, but why is this technology only available where you have to sit in front of your computer and plug your headphones into the speaker outlet?

It seems logical to assume the best format would be CD form where you can play the presets using a portable CD player, where you can lie down in bed or similar to experience these various brainwave states...

My computer is setup to play through speakers, not headphones. I can hear the presets through said speakers, but I imagine it's not the same effect as if I was hearing them through headphones.

I'm grateful for the technology and work involved, but please wake me when it's in CD form.

it save's it as a wave file, then you just burn that on a cd, or put it on an mp3 player. fixt.

Quote from: PotentialBirthOfTheNight, in the morning drink some coffee with sugar and creamer(very important), wait about 4-5 hours, go meditate and then lay down. You should get at least paralyzed and some vibrations, maybe an actual OBE. When I stopped the coffee, it all went away. Took me a year to figure it out. I mean if I drank coffee everyday for a week, then everyday for a week I would experience OBEs.

I think it has something to do with insulin spikes, lowering blood pressure from the sugar. which causes sleepiness. And the coffee, because of the caffeine keeps just the right amount of wakefulness required for the Trance state.

For dreams, the area of the brain associated with dreams is the same area associated with sexual arousal, namely the hypothalamus. If you take aphrodisiacs with  just a little melatonin right before you fall asleep, you will have some cool dreams, not necessarily sexual either.

for me, its the opposite with cafine.

Quote from: Veccolo(sorry for the bad english, it's 3:10 AM here)
The last WILD I had (was months ago) started quite odd. I woke up some night, turned to the side to continue sleeping. Then everything turned white and I was in my bedroom. I was like "what the hell?". I turned around, looked at the clock on my video recorder, and the time was "jumping" around odd. Now I knew I was dreaming. I stood up and tried to switch the light on, as the room was dark. Didn't work. I tried a mental command. Didn't work. Then I tried a verbal command and shouted "LIGHT", and the room brightened up. I took a look around, everything was incredibly real. I went outside of my room and then it ended.

How did you distinguish that as being a lucid dream instead of an obe?

yea laziness can be a killer lol.

Has anyone ever had an expireanced a WILD, or, wake induced lucid dream like that in RB's Astral Dynamics?

In his book, he woke up from a dream, and than projected back into the dream without ever having a break in conscience. The difference, he said, was that he had more awarness, felt stronger physical senses such as gravity, touch, pain sensations, smell, taste.  Instead of dreaming, and becomeing lucid at somepoint in the dream, he was able to go back into the dream, being conscience from the start.

For me, lucid dreams are more spontainious, and no matter how many reality checks I do, they never seem to really help the number of lucid dreams that I have.

If you've expireced a WILD, lets hear it.

Or if you just want to comment on a lucid dream you've had, your methods for becoming lucid, extra.

Usually the only time I have a lucid dream is when something in my dream is chasing me. From there, out of habbit i guess, I always stop and face what ever it is thats chasing me, and it aways stops and disapears, and I recignize it as a dream.

hmmm, sounds like a dream to me, but who knows.  When I was younger I'd try to call out in dreams, but nothing would come out of my mouth because well, I was in a dream lol

Quote from: IvandaI remember two experiences from the past that could be OBEs. Please tell me what is your opinion.

1. I was a little kid (maybe 5 or 6), but I remember it clearly until now. I was sleeping and then I found myself sitting in the bed and reading one of those folding books for children. Then I wanted to call my mom, but no sound was issuing from my mouth. I remember I was quite desperate. It all felt so real. In the morning I just remembered it as a weird dream, but now knowing about OBE, I wonder if I had actually perceived myself when out-of-body?!

2. Me and my friends being crazy teens discovered that it is possible to lose consciousness by taking deep deep breaths for some time and then holding the breath. I did it once on my own and next I remember was darkness. However I could hear a woman screaming and then something that sounded like car crash--tires screeching and all. I could  not see anything though. Then I woke up crying. At first I could not understand why I am on the floor, but then it came to me. I did not get hurt or anything, but was in tears. What was that?!

love,
I.

Second one just sounds like loss of conscience due to lack of oxygen... cant be too good for your health now can it?

Quote from: S7Something I find odd in my failure to achieve a conscious exit is my seeming ability to visualize in almost perfect clarity for 20 minutes or more. I can reach a deep level of physical relaxation, have done pretty extensive energy work for a few months and I haven't really come too close to projecting. I've read Astral Dynamics and Mastering Astral Projection and highlighted the ever-living [edit] out of those books, but I still can't nail down what I might be doing wrong to prevent success. Even after 45 minutes of relaxing, raising and stimulating energy, and holding my awareness outside of my body, there is still no indication that I am close to getting out. Any ideas on what I might look at in terms of troubleshooting.

What time of the day are you trying to project?
