It is an interesting thread...one that I've been meaning to write and get feedback on...

And I'm lucky that I'm able to remember most of my dreams, so I can do a thorough comparison to my obe's (I say 'thorough' loosly, I try to be thorough, but lets be honest, I don't remember every exact detail...)

But I had another thought very recently about dreams, that when you're in one, you sort of, 'know' what you're doing. For me, when I realize this, I don't really get a chance to turn it into a lucid or an obe... I wake up (despite reading an excellent ebook recently that says otherwise)

So, does that mean (to really stretch the mind) that the people around us are a sort of, 'programme', allowing us to have the experience that we choose (at some level) to create

Just thinking out loud here;-)

Hi guys...

Just had an idea (which may sound crazy, and may even have been posted somewhere else, but here goes)

Is dreaming nothing more than our natrual ability to project, as our bodies fall asleep, so that we may, 'wake up' to who we really are?

Everytime I have this question in my mind, the answer seems to be a resounding yes!

What do you guys think?

My apologies if this has been posted somewhere before...

This is an excellent 101 with basic and what you need to know for further exploration. It's worth printing off as a hard copy.

Looks great...I'm going to check it out

Thanks for sharing

Great video I gave it a thumbs up :-)

I have some videos that may be of use here.  I have some on Anxiety and some on Shyness.

There are 3 versions of the shyness video, same audio just different nature sounds or no nature sounds:

Shyness I
http://youtu.be/izan3b_YjNc

Shyness I + RAIN
http://youtu.be/3lnfVUmFSG8

Shyness I + WIND & RAIN
http://youtu.be/7chVGpYZNf4

There are two versions of the Anxiety video:

Anxiety I (Binaural & Isochronic beats for Anxiety and depression. Delta 3.5Hz)
http://youtu.be/QKlMTQesq7g

Anxiety I + Rain (Binaural & Isochronic beats for Anxiety & depression. Delta 3.5Hz)
http://youtu.be/SagNHkZ3Tsk

In the evening before bed do a breath meditation with an anxiety video. Breath meditation at Karmic Beats Blog:
http://karmicbeats.blogspot.com/p/basic-breath-meditation.html

Use the Shyness videos in the morning as 10Hz is Alpha range and that is good for a state of alert mind & relaxed body.

Do these videos everyday for at least a month.

Here is the meditation that goes with the Shyness video (It is in the video as well):

This meditation has just four affirmations to keep it simple and focused.  Repeat these affirmations to yourself during the day as well.

Find a comfortable place and close your eyes.
Relax.
Listen to the beats and focus on your breathing.
Breathe in relaxing, positive energy.
Breathe out tension and negative energy.
Focus on your breath and the beats.
If your mind wanders acknowledge the thoughts and bring your awareness back to your breath and the beats.

Do this for a few minutes until you are relaxed.

Think of things you are grateful for.  Think of positive social interactions that you have had.

Feel grateful for these things.

Repeat the following out loud a few times, then whisper a few times then keep repeating it silently.

I am grateful for what I have.
I am aware of my negative feelings, and I can let them go.
I am outgoing.
I am relaxed, easygoing, and social.

Do this for a few to several minutes.

Then bring your awareness back to your breath and the beats.

If your mind wanders acknowledge the thoughts, repeat the affirmations and bring your awareness back to your breath and the beats.

Do this for as long as you can.  Do not over do it.  A short daily meditation is better than a long weekly one.

When you are finished bring your awareness back to the room and open your eyes.

That looks great... I'll be sure to bookmark this page and come back for future reference...thankyou

I can relate to some of that...

Sounds to me like you're an over-active empath

I wonder if this helps...

I'm not saying that you are an over-active empath (I could be incorrect, of course) Just sounds like it

Hope this helps

Not sure where to post this, hope this is an alright place for it.

I have read the training to see aura's page on this site about 3 or 4 times and i could easily see the aura of color with the Aura viewing tool.  It seems that no matter how hard i tried the mental lifting action i could not see a living aura.

I was just reading alot of stuff like i normally do and i stumbled upon this site which has some very useful aura training tools like the aura tool on this site in training.  Although i think these tools are much more effective.  After about 5 minutes of practice i was seeing my fingers' aura right before my eyes finally!!  =)

So if your interested in a good source to check out visit here.

http://www.thiaoouba.com/seeau.htm

If you have any questions on the 2nd practice exercise feel free to ask me.  It took me a few minutes to get both spheres in sync, and my finger lined up right to make the cross.

Hope this helps anyone having trouble like i was.[8D]

Tre

That looks great. I'm going to check it out, as I need more training myself;-)

thanks

I don't feel enlightened, except when I look at other people. And then I think that maybe it's possible, compared to them anyway. I was just like them but was driven solely for the need of truth and wisdom. It didn't matter what I found. At the time it felt as if I was risking my soul... After my reality and world view was destroyed and rebuilt 3 or 4 times came this peace which I cannot describe.

Things seem so simple to me now. For example, primates and humans are most definitely related - I don't need genetic testing to know this, it's very apparent just by looking at them. Jesus was a man, not a god, but he was enlightened. These things are so obvious to me now, but a few years ago I would have never accepted it. Or that Christianity today has very little to do with Jesus's teachings. I feel the need to try to help people understand, but just bluntly stating things results in people not believing. Do I lie and make up a story about the various miracles Brother X performed? Do I write poetry? Do I tell parables? Do I just state things as they are?

I don't know how to do this...suggestions?

What a very good point you've made here. And I can relate to your frustration. When you feel peace quite easily, and have spiritual experiences, it can be very annoying to hear people talk about fiction, when they think it's fact.

Yet, horrible as it may be, being blunt (in my experience) does more harm than good. All you can do, is to live your, 'truth' and be as much joy and peace as you possibly can (hard at times, I know)

Eventually, some souls that are waking up will say to you (probably as you get things you want a bit quicker) 'How do you do it? How do you remain peaceful despite the storm? How come you get what you want and I don't?' Only then can you tell them what you believe;-)

To re-literate a famous author, 'Let each soul walk their path)

Hope this helps

The past isn't important though... not the finites of your past. Only take what you learn from it. Never regret it or wish it were different or that it didn't happen. It did.. and that's that.

Stay in the present - the most important time - and move on to the next present taking what you have learned with you. It accumulates and you become wise if you're lucky. ;)

Totally agree. The present is golden. But don't knock youself if you remember the past. Memories is what makes us human (as well as other stuff)

The problem is whether you let the memories influence your future. But if you stay in the present, then creating a new future will become easier (I'm only saying this because I'm a bit nostalgic myself, but I like that about me;-)

I have heard a lot of people say life is simply a mistake, a genetic mistake or something like that. I just do not see it that way. I took a close hard look at the human body and realized how SMART it actually is. How the body is designed... The way you have a body that actually memorizes certain viruses and builds to keep it from happening again. How your body is layered out... How people share past lives and match up exact stories with physics... To me life cannot simply be a mistake! ESPECIALLY when you have your first out of body experience. I believed in life after death 100% ever since.

There's a guy... Robert Bruce... You may have heard of him... Who mentioned in his ebook how life all came about. The truth is, nobody actually really knows. He mentioned that at one point in time there was a point of consciousness.... Nobody really knows how it happened or how it came to be but he referred to it as source. God=Source.

It's just crazy that some people actually think this is all a huge mistake. See to me we are the creators IF NOT co creators... I believe the brain is simply something you need to have to experience this physical reality system. Your body is simply a vehicle. There are other vehicles on this earth like fish... lions... a bear... it's just a different vehicle to experience this place in to me... Kinda like Hondas, Fords, or Chevy's! :-D

Some vehicles come with maintenance issues. (Health problems) but have NOTHING to do with your spirit or your consciousness.

What do you think about this?

I agree with nearly all of this...apart from the point of consciousness bit. In my opinion, energy/consciousness cannot be created or detroyed, or have a single point (which would mean that there is something outside of that, 'point') It always has been, is and will be. Without end. (unless I misunderstood the comment, which I sometimes do;-)
#38
Thanks for your suggestion. One of these days, I'll try that :-D

For the most part, I agree with the replies...but you can also get different MP3's or CD's which will allow you to meditate at lower frequencies, like alpha, theta or delta...this will help re-programming your mind much more easier.

But, for the most part, any meditation to a degree will help with mental control :-)

As for being startled, yeah, you'll be surprised how often you can startle yourself doing this stuff. All normal, you become pretty hard to startle at all after a while. Even in waking consciousness. Good stuff.
As for being worried. Nah. You're good.

Cheers,
Contenteo

Totally agree. It's just mental control that's needed. I've been in the floor, even stuck there, trying to gain clairity (seeing, interestingly, blue, sparkly hands in sheer blackness)

Then I managed to float above the floor near my body, and, 'snap' back in!

Nothing to worry about...just more practice :-D

I recently had a situation early on this year, where I had 2 smaller obes (ones lasting about 30 seconds or less) and 2 large ones (ones where I was more in control and even spoke to non-physical beings) every month.

That stopped around July time, but this month, the smaller ones are returning;-)

Just out of interest, could one use 'Chi', visualize near your 3rd eye, and project that way?
#43
Slightly off topic (my apologies...) but can I ask if you could (in theory) use this energy to help with the manifestation process?

#44
Having read, 'The greatest manifestation principle in the world', don't forget to have the feeling of love when you come to the feeling bit. Should make manifestation a lot more quicker

At the risk of sounding silly, but what exactly is a soul guide, and how can one communicate with them effectively? (without the use of an obe)

thanks in advance

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Re: Thoughts and memories
September 02, 2012, 09:05:40
It's not just me then...

When I leave my body, I often find myself in closed spaces, very cramped, where I have to almost, 'fight' to get out.

Take this morning for example... left the body, went past 2 doors, and found myself in (prob.) the most smallest cramped bathroom I have ever seen! There was a toilet, a sink right next to it, and quite large white cupboards.

It was so small, tiny, and claustrophobic (if I've spelt that right;-) and there was a window, with 3 blinds (that you had to pull both up and down) before I could float out.

Once I did, I saw a pretty blue sky, but was on the roof tops of loads and loads of buildings

Now, I'm thinking, do these, 'buildings' (some smaller than others) are thoughts that have, 'come togther' to form one, I suppose you would say, conjested area?

Does this represent my subconscious mind, full of useless thoughts, that have filled my mind (could explain why I find it difficult to focus at times)

Worth pondering (but not too much, don't want to build more buildings, lol)

Hi all, I was listening to Tom Campbell last night.  I thought he was very interesting and was worthwhile listening to.  Anyway, he was talking about meditation and he advised you to meditate during the day, not just once or twice a day.  You can mediate when you are walking etc.  What does it do for you if you meditate as much as possible?  Thanks for your replies.

For me, it helps calm the mind, new ideas then come up about a present day goal or desire that I'm working towards. I try to be in the, 'now' when I'm walking to my local shop. When I'm in the, 'now' manifestation becomes that little bit easier...

It also helps me to love and respect life more :-)

being unhappy means something is wrong. The solution is to solve whatever is wrong.

Quite True...I've had a recent theory (which I'm testing out) where I'm being really focused in whatever goal I'm trying to achieve (Will smith said it so true, 'you've really gotta focus)

This stops my depressing thoughts, and brings more peace inside me

'Stored inside your brain'... you sure?

That is maybe where the misconception lies.

Totally agree...I love what Gerald O'Donnell says about this. The brain is nothing more than essentially an instrument to help decode vibratory light, so that we can interact with the physical world...

Try looking at the articles on probablefuture.com, and draw up your own conclusion
