I've been thinking about some people saying they take energy from the air as they breathe or the earth as they walk/stand.

If they're (we're) able to do that why not try absorbing energy from a hot shower/bath or the radiance of the sun when you feel its heat on your skin?

Are our energy bodies able to take in/convert thermal energy into what it needs?

Oh, and I forgot to ask, is it possible to stimulate other people's chakras? From what I've read I wouldn't see why you couldn't.

Would it be like channeling energy into their chakra and imagining spinning it or whatever way you stimulate your own?

Quote from: dreamosisI've personally found that a lot of heavy energy sensations are caused by the resistance that you meet in running energy.  So, after a month of doing regular energy work, it would be natural for the energy to feel lighter--because there is less resistance, and it is running more smoothly.

It may just take another short while for you to become sensitive to energy running when it's smooth and not hitting a block.

So, not feeling it as intensely could be a good sign.

That's actually a great analogy if you consider electricity makes things hot when it encounters more resistance -- like a light bulb or electric oven.

I've recently thought of trying to AP as feeling like I'm hatching from an egg. Its a tough shell but it'll crack. I just hope I won't be a fledgling long.

A couple nights ago while doing energy work and trying to AP using ROPE from my abdominal/solar plexus chakra area my mind pictured a fountain-like florescent type of light blooming from my torso. Then I got "distracted" by my wife's close proximity...  8)

Last night I was doing similar work as above, but picturing my mind working with both hemispheres separately as zaps of electricity shooting back and forth between the two sides (almost Lawnmower Man style). Then the thought came to me to imagine them working together. I pictured electricity surging between the hemispheres as though before there was a short circuit or tripped breaker. As soon as I "flipped the switch" and I pictured a glowing field of "power" between the two sides of the brain I immediately started feeling strong vibrations... then I promptly fell asleep...

And some things are secret for a reason...

Besides, even if you were able to see something not meant for your eyes you probably wouldn't understand its context.

If you found technical data on a nuke at say, Los Alamos (since those tards seem to leave such stuff lying around) would you be able to decipher it or recreate it in any way? Perhaps, if you were a nuclear scientist who could AP you'd have a clue otherwise enjoy the Greek writings. It would be easier to get that info by posing as a Chinese spy anyway and buy it from a Clinton...

Thanks!

I wasn't worried just annoyed and irritated.

I've been having relaxation issues with my tongue.     :(  This could make for a good joke if it were funny.

Lately, it seems if I get "too" relaxed it feels like I'm going to swallow my tongue or saliva gathered in my throat makes me swallow and I lose my relaxed stated and have to start over.

Does anyone recommend a way to help keep a stray tongue in check or what to do when you have to swallow?

Quote from: IvandaHi all,

I'm new here, so please bear with me.

I have been practicing inducing OBE for more than a week already. I have been really close many times (or so it feels), I start seeing thru my eyelids or stop feeling my body... once I heard a rushing sound in my ears--it was like loud whoooooosh--like a strong wind or something similar--it felt like I'm going to be out at once; however, at the last moment I experienced sense of panic and that`s it--end of story. I don't know why I`m scared. I`m so eager and excited to do it, I really do not fear consciously, but it seems to be originating from deep within of me..this fear.

How to deal with it? Anybody has any tips? I try to relax and repeat positive affirmations, but so far it does not work.
Anyway, I am making some progress, like relaxing more deeply. Before yesterday I actually felt my astral arms coming out of my body. Also when the fear hit I felt myself sinking slowly back in to my body. It felt like my astral body had lifter slightly--maybe a few inches abow where it normally resides.

I would love to hear your OBE experience. Whatever it is. I need some encouragement..that it is real! I know it is, but this fear thing is so discouraging. I guess it is a natural barrier and maybe there are some little tricks on how to deal with it.. I also have noticed from your posts that many of you have had this problem. Does it go away with practice?

Thank you
!

I'm exactly where you are and I've been trying since the 8th grade ('89).    I got frustrated after high school though and quit trying until just recently when I began getting back into it. Good luck to both you and BOTN!

There's a couple Ronnie James Dio and Rainbow songs which mention it too. I'll post them after I compile the titles.

QuoteI'm thinking of taking some of the songs listed here and putting them on a CD so I can have driving music.

That's what I was hoping to do also!  8)

Quote from: ChimeraeI have a phd psychotherapist I see who is a psychic and travels dimensionally.  I have access to a psychiatrist who is also psychic and who's credentials are so solid that she "gets away" with her non traditional therapies.    There out there you just have to find them.

You guys should play Changeling the Dreaming! Ask your doctor if she is a "Hippy" or Hippocrates' Dream Warrior. In the game they're Fey psychotherapists saving other fey from banal "Mental Hospitals" where human doctors are "convincing" the patients they're insane or seeing imaginary friends.

I only got to page 4 and had to reply. I KNOW I saw a gnome when I was a kid. And I've had friends on shrooms see fire elementals in camp fires and other "oddities." I'm NOT a proponent of shroomage though. Just a geek trying to figure my experiences. I see the "floaters" also. I started a thread up on it but after some further research I'm still not sure what they are...  :(

I hope to share something similar in the near future. Good luck finding a way around the meds man. There's gotta be a way!

I'm a old school gamer who plays pencil and paper style role playing games (Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire, etc..) and table top battles (Warhammer FB and 40K). Anyway, lots of dice are rolled in both types of games and I usually roll pretty well. In fact some of my friends would rather I roll their dice during a battle because I roll so well.    I tell them I'm mentally controlling my dice telekineticly. The funny thing is when ever I ACTUALLY concentrate on the dice I roll worse.

If I clear my mind before I cast the dice I do immensely better. Actually knowing how to play the games helps too but dice ARE my friend.

I haven't tried craps yet because there's a million rules but the Roulette Wheel I consider a 60ish sided dice. If I clear my head before betting and play the odds -- columns AND rows together -- I make money. If I get greedy and sit at the table too long I start to think about where to bet too much and lose money so I have to get up, cash out and come back later after I hit a big one. I suggest trying that for the wheel...  :D

I figure, once people accept "paranormal" as "normal" gambling will go away. Or casinos will have big "NO Psychics Allowed!" signs.

Not that I'm psychic but you get what I mean.

I get very close to projecting with body vibrations and loosening and all that but I seem to blow it mentally. Also, I have flying or "hopping" dreams periodically where I'm bounding through neighborhoods and whatnot but I don't have any conscious control. Though I remember thinking during such a dream "This would be a good place to fly through in a dream" as I inspected some pathway or whatever.   :(

I first became interested in AP around '89 but could only get so far regardless of the books I read or techniques I tried. I practiced for years always tantalized by minuscule success but ultimately I hit a wall. So I gave up for several years until recently when I found this site. I've since been developing my energy work and looked at APing and lucid dreaming from a different perspective and now I feel like I'm "on the verge" of finally getting it.  :D
#43
This seems like a great way for writers to snowball their creativity since most fiction writers tap their subconscious. I've been trying to have lucid dreams as long as I've been trying to AP. I'm TOTALLY going to try your suggestions!

I would like to add one of my own though for writers out there. Keep a personal tape recorder near your bed to transcribe your dreams as soon as possible for future reference.

Thanks!  :D

The idea of exploring our solar system is tantalizing to say the least. Thanks for sharing your stories.  :D

I was reading another thread and someone mentioned projecting through time. Checking out history would be an experience!

I was wondering if anyone has experience projecting into strange, exotic or extreme type places? I've heard stories of people checking out the moon and this piqued my interest. So.... please share your stories if you've been to such places as:

The Sun

Mars or another inner celestial body

A lightning storm/hurricane/tornado

The ocean (I'm assuming the depth light penetrates only)

Volcanoes

While on an airplane

Strip Clubs/etc...

Iranian Nuclear Facilities

If you've got some other place interesting I failed to list please feel free to add to it.

I was wondering how many songs and artists we could name which mention Astral Projection. Maybe get a list compiled for a good CD to burn.

Here's two off the top of my head from the Classic Rock genre:

Magic Carpet Ride -- Steppenwolf
Dream Weaver -- Gary Wright
