Welcome to Astral Chat! / Controlling your brain
August 20, 2005, 03:52:32
I noticed in a certain deep state I can directly stimulate parts of my brain...    not very fun if you don't know what parts of your brain are where >.<.
I was in sleep paralyze during mediation and noticed I felt a little chunk in a part of my head. I mentally poked it and immediately felt as much fear as I assume is humanly possible, a very primal thoughtless terror. Later I checked a diagram of the brain in a neurology book I had and the part of the brain attributing to fear was right there. I haven't done it since ,but I haven't really tried. So I guess it is possible..probably.

I tried to enter a TV show by leaving it on, but it's snow when I am APing.
#31
Cool, people aren't too interested in it anymore though. pity, I love the place.

Well, your physical body wasn't moving. Not much more to it, most things you feel while doing this kind of stuff isn't your body.

QuoteHello,

I've been trying to AP for a while now, and I think I've had some success in it.

Three Weeks ago I had a dream were I was in the middle of a Corn field in France, it could be one in my neighborhood. I was just walking. I didn't't know, of course it was still a dream. When I was getting my senses I noted that I was dreaming. So I was be able to walk a few steps before I felt something puling me... just a moment and I boinkin' woke up, but my body was very heavy and moving was difficult.

Second was tonight.
I guess I woke up. I had this really strong vibrations in my body and couldn't't move. I noticed someone else was there, and was afraid it would speak to me. Not a second later I heard a very clear voice speaking to me... I could not understand... it sounded like a computer had changed it. I was afraid of the person so I tried to stop it and move my body.. which seemed to be impossible.. I was able to move one finger and the vibrations stopped, but they came back 3 times.. the were at least as strong as the first, but I was trying not to be so scared. I wasn't scared anymore, and was be able to turn in my bed. I was sure I had my eyes closed , but I saw my room Though my eyes, it looked like how it was yesterday....

I went back to the position I was in before and went back to sleep... the vibrations were gone... but I felt really awake the next morning.. I am sure I that I didn't dream it....

Mylene

Looks like your doing pretty good, every thing you listed are common with this stuff.

Just relax and don't care if you see anything, you don't have to. If you try to visualize your training for something else and not fully mediating. If images come, good! if not don't force them.

"The beginner mediates to relax, the master relaxes to mediate" (not too relevant, I know but still..)

Quotethat's a bit too long for me.. lolz.. i'm a bit impatient.. hehehe

Umm, if your too impatient don't expect much results, or any imagery for that matter. If your reach a good stage in mediation time will go by a lot faster then you'd expect...or slower but whatever learn to enjoy it...personally I think 10 min. should be the min. for a beginner

think about it, what does a blank mind mean? Of course this is all just to begin with, once your good you can think about something and have wild emotions invoked while doing it. It would appear you don't have the luxury of great natural skill so everything that could help should be exercised.

It doesn't matter if frustration is draining you, it still halves your ability. It helps to have a blank mind blank but a blank heart can help to. True, negative emotions have been shown to make people move things but that's mainly because their sub-conscious is doing it for them. To consciously do it having no emotions helps, but if nothing else only positive emotion will do.

please note that everything I'm saying is personal experience unless otherwise stated, this many not be true for all people but I have taught friends and it helped them.

just to ad one thing: Vague short memories are ok to begin with, not everything happens fast...in fact almost nothing does! learn to be patient.

  KEEP TRYING lol.

IT COULD TAKE A WHILE. GIVE IT A FEW WEEKS OK BUDDY?  :) . *eye twitch*

lol, jk. but you do need to keep trying and give a a while longer...remember it tends to not work when you anxious for results or too frustrated...or in a day or even a few days! ...and it's not very good to practice too much, a hour or two a day is about the max you should go for right now...relax man.

wow, you seem to be having all sorts of trouble   . Try this: wake up three hours before you normally do and go back to sleep. The moment you wake up say these incomplete phrases while trying to remember.
I was flying over...
I was talking to...
I walk over to...
I saw....
I felt...
I heard...
And see if your mind completes the sentence with a short memory of the dream. Worked great for me, remember the more you remember the easier it will get.

You've been able to, you just don't think you can't...grr just keep trying! Rome wasn't built in a day...it was built on the promise of cheap wine and gambling but not in a day!

I just thought of something. If your short term memory is in the void then could telepathy be accessing someone else's part of the void?

...alright your aware of your body right? well you can be aware of the things out side your body. It is argued a lot that their is no distance, other then how we view it. You are a part of everything, but you are only aware of yourself your ability to move self. You have the ability to feel and interact with things out side your body because of this.

>.< not the best description ,but the best I could type at the moment.
I await your reply of confusion.

Very carefully lol.
You have to be aware out side your body, project your feeling of self. Think of how you bend your arm and do it to the object your trying to move. confusing I know but but if you get the hang of it, it works pretty good usually. well, I really like it anyways....

tinfoil instead of paper, although I don't suggest it because the paper psiwheel is the definition of basic exercise. You could just keep trying though, I don't think it's too hard just that your not really doing it yet. Seriously it's been one boinking day since you first complained. What determines how hard it will be to move is:
1. Density (attributes to weight)
2. Friction
3. Amount of molecules
4. Personal limitations

BTW visualization doesn't seem to work very good for many, what a lot of people like is to feel like it's a part of them and move it as though it was. That my favorite method and doing that way will help you move in the long run to because them you can do things that would be hard with visualization like to TK the air.

I got it in a few day, but I've know plenty of people that toke a month or two. One of my friends actually toke a year, I said it "could" not that it will. Guess I worded that a little harsh sorry.
#48
that would require me to know what the place look like wouldn't it? And finding that out is the whole point... and you loss more reality when you do that anyways. At least from my experience.

^ That's about right...don't be too concerned with raising energy though.

Edit: For the object thing, don't be too worried. yes, an impression is made, but it shouldn't bother you much unless you know Psychometry. You could just have a bad association with the objects to that just give you the impression they have negative energies.
