Thanks upstream,
I can understand what WILD is because I experience that sometimes. Since I do the polarity flip maneuver while going into an obe I may bypass the other forms of phasing as you have suggested in a previous post. I do know I have not advanced at all. This is probably because of lack of trying or practice.I'm learning things though.

Good luck on your plans, it sounds very exciting.

Do you have help from other spirits in your travels?

More on this subject.

I had a dream with a broken guitar in it. It was more about something not in harmony in my life at the time.

In your case, the guitar represents a more real thing.I'm not musically inclined in my waking life. Another musician may have more insight for you.

I do wonder if the "testing" part of your situation has you frustrated into right and left brain delimma. If it was me, I would go for the test if it didn't cost anything.

I can't help but think that maybe the bad music the night before is related to a confidence obstacle (manifesting). Some people are good at tests, some are not. A test does not always show compendency or skill(or talent) in a particular subject.

I hope my little guitar guy comes through. He's a favorite of mine. [:)]

bluejay,
I tend to think the big picture and little picture on something doesn't have to be in the same dream. The fact that you placed the dreams in the same post makes me think you have already made the connection between the guitar neck and the little finger.

And...the big and little picture doesn't necessarily have to be in linear time. The example I gave you with my daughter and me are two different times, but same dream. I look at this as abstract thinking.

The important thing is if something makes sense to you, and you are able to utilize the information.By this, I mean making something happen that you want to happen.

Interesting info. I'll have to think on this. This is something new to me. Thanks. [:)]

LB,
I also felt negative about the High School experience.Even so,if I have any form of a school scene in a dream,it's a sign that something new is coming in the way of enlightenment or higher level of acheivement.

Sorry to tell you this, but get use to the high school mentality. It's a large portion of society who never advances in the real world. This is probably one of the biggest disappointments in life for me to discover. I'm not even sure many get past elementary level of education in the spiritual sense. They stay stuck in childish dramas and society lies.
quote:
high school would be moreso a sign of lack of progress, imprisonment, and stiffling of the spirit.

Better for you to recognize this now, many don't! My daughter just graduated High School. I am so proud of her. Not because she graduated, but because she was able to get over that hurdle in her life. High School is more of an obstacle if you ask me. However, as I've already mentioned. Many don't get past this mentality. They seem to believe in the system.

Here's part of a quote taken from Kiauma in a new post this day (about a Dream Star):
quote:
could be representative as trapped in form or concrete negative identification.

I wonder if cement can mean concrete, as in something related to the physical?

I have to think the big building represents the world in general. The subconscious is a dark nether world.Maybe your tapping into the collective dark world (subconsciously).

Aileron,
This is a very interesting description of your experience. It does sound like synchronicity. It seems you may be experiencing some spirit and energy power. Thanks for explaining more.

Logic: You say...
quote:
About 50% of the things I dream, happen to me during the day that I've dreamed them.
Is this before or after you dream?

Rastus,
I have dreams when I can remember the most minor detail of a place or time. I guess I've always thought of it as a keen memory. Could this be what you are calling Deja-Vu? I recall real life events. I don't have instant dream recall. I guess I'm still wondering about what Deja-Vu has to do with dreams?

bluejay,
The big picture and the little picture. You woke up while at the repair shop. I believe that at this point you are fixing a problem. A broken neck and then a broken finger. You are the instrument. Adaptability: You are adapting to your circumstances. This is the way to success.

Finger is the fifth digit. Five represents the human form. It's probably a minor detail for you. You've already expressed this.

Here is another example of a big picture and a little picture. My dream last night I wacked my enemies out of the picture. Making them small as possible, then wack them. I will explain. My daughter called me late one night from her cell phone. She was walking alone on a city street. I was fearful for her safety. Some guys around her were acting suspicious, and coming on to her. My dream last night I was protecting her from some negs or tricksters. I wacked them. I thought this morning, these same creatures could represent some enemies I had(did have) at work. I believe I wacked that problem too. Hooray!

Aileron,
I like Van-Stolin's explaination. I personally don't experience what is described as deja-vu. I experience a lot of sychroncity. Could it be that if you don't pick up a lesson the first time, or second time, it's presented to you again? I don't understand the deja-vu in the place of dreams either.I usually hear about it during a person's waking time. I wonder if it doesn't have something to do with chakra or energy activity, specifically, the solar plexus.

Are you sure it's not synchroncity? You didn't really describe the feel you get with this. Syncronicity is when you can see how things fall together, an explaination of things as it happens. If things repeat as deja-vu suggests, why? I have things repeat in waking time. It's usually related to my attitude on something.

shivanova,
The first part of your dream seemed like dreams I've worked with before. The last part seemed to turn into something else, drama and maybe some fantasy. Are you a female? The girl could be a child aspect of you.Do you practice magic?

A few symbols:
antique store- Old stores or storage.

historic- Has a history or age to it.

parallel street- Parallel paths or journey.

intersection-A crossroad, a decision

left- past

sunny- bright

right-future

shady- Unknown or not clear, bad vibes.

dusty-memories

autumn/winter-Changing seasons, later and death. Winter makes me think I'm wrong about the drama and fantasy part.

*I want to clarify what I mean by death. Death in dreams (like Winter scenes) doesn't mean death in the physical sense, more like an ending of something...and always followed by something new.

LB,
This is a good dream showing the workings of the mind. I like the use of computers in this dream. Here is a list of symbol meanings that came to mind for me. The more vivid a dream, the the more difficult it seems to connect with symbolism. However, if it happens in waking life, why not in the most vivid of dreams.

I have had cement in a few dreams. Maybe it's a block or something.

Hulk- the You in your dream, big.The astral you. Why the disguise?

You- You in your travels or journey

High school- Progress being made, higher learning (significant dream).

New York- Collective, many involved.

Wall-A barrior or a veil.

Computer- Information (through).

Alley- Familiar territory for you.

Side- Energy or aura. This may have something to do in your wake time.

Back-Past or hidden ways.

Underground-Subconscious

Poor?  Compassion? Need?

Lockers- storage areas, small recesses of the mind.

Shopping carts- Collecting what you need or require.

Maze-complex-Accessing hidden information.

guards-Restrictions your placing in this place or yourself.

Does the stone sign in the first dream have any connection with the cement in the second dream?

Gandalf,
quote:
I was just wondering how common it is for others to wake up with this effect.

Maybe once a week, more or less. Not during waking, always when ready for sleep at night, or while starting to take a nap (not often lately due to being busy).

quote:
The scenes are usually full motion, full colour and sometimes with sound.

Yes, but no sound.Sounds present in other scenerios not related to a screen.

quote:
you can just sit back and observe the screen until it fades, or jump in, by willing yourself into it; you will then find yourself in that location.

No jumping in a scene. If I find myself in a scene I suddenly find myself in it after a flipping motion takes place. I'm aware of observing the scene and being in it at the same time.

Anything unusual that happens upon awaking is a surprise to me. I feel I have no control of that stage.

upstream,
Thanks for all the info. I find it all so interesting. I find it's easy to follow what you write. It takes some thinking about.

I have a stupid question. Could you give your explanation of what phasing means? I can't seem to understand it's exact meaning.

kairi,
You ask:
quote:
what is a lucid dream anyways?

At first this word had me boggled as well. It's helped me to look at it as just a loose term for awareness, being aware you are dreaming while you are dreaming (or experiencing something). Others may have a different idea about it.

kairi,
That's an interesting question. The answer is variable.[:)]
I can remember very clearly at the age of seven having a remarkable dream (wish I had written it down). At the time, I was so impressed with this dream that I became determined to have more. I recall NOT having dreams at that time. After that, I forget what happened (with dreams).

Years later, I was reading a book on chemical dependency and alcoholism. The book said people hooked on drugs and alcohol do not dream. I took this to be true and thought to myself, how awful(and glad it's not me)! But, thinking back now to the time of reading the book's statement. I don't remember having any dreams? This is odd, because at that time I must have had dreams to think how awful not to dream. I use have a tendency to write any remembered dreams on pieces of paper(I find loose papers stored away when going through old stuff).I rarely remembered a dream then. So, I must have been aware at some level of my dreams. It's a very mysterious thing to me (and confusing[:)]).

I suspect you are dreaming, but just can't remember it now. Also, I'm thinking now, could this book have made a mistake when saying that? I've read that people take drugs and drink (alcohol), and still have dreams. One can't believe everything he/she reads?

#265
izanagi,
Have your girlfriend start her journal before she actually has her own first remembered dream. Have the journal conveniently located near where she sleeps. She can always place someone else's dream to begin her journal. The result will be the same, remembered dreams. I read in a book to even make up something to get started. I prefer the writing of someone else's dream. The journal will then take on a mind of it's own.[:)] Actually, by writing something, this tells the subconscious you are wanting more.

Let us know what happens.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / color or shape
July 31, 2004, 19:25:02
Hi Beavis,
Your probably seeing others reacting or interacting with your aura. You are receiving information from your spirit and other spirits as well.

Auras can be shapes as well as color.

Everyone is different so you should try to learn your own way of communication and understanding. I've found it very difficult to understand other's explainations on the subject.

Just happen to be reading a book right now,and the subject of auras is in it. Here is an exerpt from "Heaven and Earth", by James Van Praagh:

Your aura is composed of many layers, or bodies (which I have described in greater detail in my book Reaching to Heaven). Within these various layers of the aura are energy patterns that effect your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual selves. As you become aware of the following energy patterns of your aura, you will understand how they can influence you. Learning to recognize these energy pattterns will help you expand your psychic awareness.
...end of quote from the book. Then he goes on to explain the various layers. He does a good job of describing things in this book.

I see shapes, colors, and pictures in auras. I still haven't learned to interpret their meaning. I have succeeded in seeing pictures in people's auras that they can relate to when I describe the picture. Most people are just interested in the colors present. I did a reading on an young woman who is an empath (she's good too!). Her aura is very active, and she was very sensitive to me looking at her aura. Beavis, I get the impression you may be seeing a lot of this "activity" that I saw with her.It was quite sporatic, no specific meaning could I make of it. There is alot of various things to see with auras. A good start would be to build a good strong and healthy aura. This will make you less vulnerable to other's influence, in case this is happening to you.

superbrenna,
Your take of good omen or bad omen delves more into superstitious beliefs. There are wide varieties of dream concepts. There's psychological, mystical, and other such ways to look at dreams.

Snake as it means to you may differ from the next person. I've never had a snake dream (brought to my consciousness). Bird to me means a message from a higher realm. A bird can soar through the air, but yet has to live off the land. This is similar to how our physical and spiritual bodies function.

Sinestro,
Carl Jung progressed dream studies. You should read that.

Science is a belief system you choose to follow. It's too bad science has sold out to the corporate machinery. If it can't be bottled and sold....well it can't be real can it?

Stay in your square one if you choose.

Kevin,
My idea on your dream:
You may be placing too much emotion into your spiritualism or daily life.Four is connected to things being played out in waking or daily life.

Your emotion is tearing you up and leaving you exposed.

The women represents an instinctual aspect of yourself. You try to heal by applying "salt to the wound". Your negative female side appears to be helping you, but is only licking the wounds, like an animal.

Welcome to Dreams! / Ahhh..I'm on fire!!!
July 25, 2004, 10:06:07
Reality,
Rolling on the ground to keep the fire from expanding means controlling it. The ground is literally grounding it, or neutalizing it somehow.

I've always read that fire is connected with the Root or also called the Base chakra. This chakra is associated with emotion, anger, sexual, and grounding.

I had someone describe the solar chakra as a channel for (this person, anyway)extending himself to others, such as in a public speaking forum. I believe the chakras have a receiving and giving aspect.

Sampson,
I know exactly what your talking about. I've had "essense" of dreams before I began having fairly regular dream recall.
Just before dream recall started happening for me, this "essence" factor seemed to be like a cloud or mist at a higher plane in my mind, or maybe in the atmosphere. I have a feeling it's connected with the aura or some kind of energy form.

I get this sense or essense from the time I wake up. The feeling fades, but I've been able to hold on to it a little longer with practice. This practice has paid off in the same way you have described. I will get glimpses through the day.Only on occassion will anything come to me in memory, but the sense or feel is there.

One thing that has helped is I don't write my dreams down immediately anymore. I hold on and ponder them for longer periods before getting them on paper. I take the chance of losing them that way, but it seems jotting them down limits the added detail that can be remembered later. It's like the notion it's "in writing", therefore, binding. It's a little block I have on it, I know. I'm always looking for memory recall techniques. It seems the more I relax with it, the better the result. So far,the best thing to do is talk about dreams with others. For instance, in this forum, and.. if I have a dream with someone in it, I tell that person.

It has to do with an emotional or feel response for me.For instance, a consistent thing I have in dreams is a feel for a place in time. Another one, is a feel who this dream character is in the dream, though the character doesn't look the same as in waking life.

One instance of spontaneous recall was when someone on the internet wrote her dream. It involved a black box falling down from the air. While reading her dream,it was as if an aura or cloud came down and planted my previous night's dream in my head. My dream wasn't similar to this woman's.

Welcome to Dreams! / Pain anyone?
July 15, 2004, 15:29:44
No pain experienced in my traditional dreams. I did wake up one morning in some kind of distress. My dream character (voice only) kept saying the word feezle (sp?) over and over again. I don't know what this word means. When I woke up all the way, I discovered I had a belly ache.Very odd!

I had a lucid dream (trance-like) before going to sleep one night. Some guy with a red face was holding a small dog. This small dog nipped my finger, it hurt...but then I snapped out of my trance/dream.

Welcome to Dreams! / Dream meaning???
July 15, 2004, 15:18:52
Sorry Lynfer. I was experimenting with some dream talk.I'm trying to duplicate inner dialog I pick up in my dreams a lot.

Okay, anyway, if there is music in a dream I have discovered timing will come into my waking life.Things will fall together. This is fun and enjoyable. Ever have a day that everything goes right? What about if it's everyday? This would be a pretty good deal.

All things expressed by people are first created in the subconscious, imo. How could I know that? I experience dreams, that's how. If this is so, why can't others see or know the same thing? Many dreams are of a collective consciousness variety.I see the influence of dreams in everything I come across each day.

What seems like chaos in living, imo, are people following another's direction. Dreams imo, serve the dreamer, though not in a self serving manner.

Just some random thoughts. [:)]

Fltz,
Interesting dream. Since you really do talk to her in waking life, maybe your seeing her in a better light. Plus,it could be your better side is showing in this present arrangement between you. If you have the opportunity, find out if she is having dreams about you too.

Examine why it didn't work for either of you before. Maybe there is a spark still there? It could also be that you have the ideal guy in mind. An ideal guy you don't see or reconize yet.Guess who?

I woke up from a dream this week as soon as I discovered I was "dreaming". It was more a shock of realizing I was dreaming than that it was the subject of the dream.

Kodemaster,
Maybe it's simply that your looking for a new song. Your road trip seems to be more for travel and relaxation than escape. Your checking places out, and your along for the ride.

I bet your going to come upon a new tune soon.
