Dear Dark Knight, Crim and everyone actually,

Everyone dreams each night (if you sleep) and so when you, Dark Knight, write you had no dreams in years, it only means that you do not remember your dreams, but you DO dream everynight, and more than once each night, at least once every sleep cycle. A sleep cycle lasts for more than an hour (say about 100 min), so that within a night you can dream 5 times, and each time can be pretty long with many stories, etc...

There is not such a thing as "I haven't had a dream" for years, or even for last night... As the night pass you have more chance to remember your dreams. If you wake up early in the morning and sleep much less than 8 hours, then the chance are that you will not remember any dream. After you have slept 6-7 hour in a night, if you continue to sleep (say and reach 8h at least of sleep) then you will start remembering the dream you had in your last sleep (just before waking up). If you do not remember your dream, it does not mean you are not dreaming, but only that maybe you do not sleep enough or that  the "barrier" between your conscious and unconscious part of your mind is very strong.

There are some very good books about that by very good psychologists, the one you will like is the one from Young ( a disciple of Freud) who is even depicting some of the things we are writing here (collective unconscious, etc..).

I wish you sweet dreams and :

If you want to remember your dreams you need to sleep 8 hours and not to wake up with an alarm clock. You need to wake up all by yourself and make the effort not to get up and stay still in bed and try to remember. Also before going to sleep repeat to yourself you want to remember your dreams. Get a notebook and write in it the date every time you go to sleep and write in it that you want to remember your dreams (autosuggestion). And if you have any memory of a dream write it down. It takes about 2 weeks for autosuggestion to start working.

Hello Dark Knight,

I really do hope that you feel better these days!

As to the light you saw it could be of course as the answer of the eye specialist wrote. I have experienced that "blindness" effect while staring at myself in the mirror without blinking. I know that when one does not blink and does not move her/his eyes the picture dissapears and I knew it is biological.

Now, if it is not that eye effect, it could still be a physical effect. I must confess that if I do not sleep for 2 weeks I might end up in the hospital... sleep depravation can be devastating and I might even see things that do not exist. I know some person who had to be hospitalized because of sleeplessness. So it can surely cause you to see things and hear things that are not there. The problem is actually the depravation of dreams. That is, without dreaming for 2 weeks one can actually cause irreversible damage to the brain and to the mental health (thanks God that did not happen to you). During sleep, and especially during dreams, the brain is getting rid of its toxic chemical that it is producing while awake. If the level of these toxic chemical is too high, some research has shown that people can really "lose their mind". In short, not sleeping at all for more than 2 weeks can irreversibly send people to the hospital. So, all that to tell you, that if you did not sleep for that time, and did not get irreversibly mentally affected, still you could see things that are not there. My main guess would be that if you don't sleep you might have been in a half-sleep state (hypnagonic state) where you would hear and see things like in the dream world, but while you are awake.

And third and last (sorry for being so long), you might have seen the Light that NDE people sometime see. Then they usually after a little while actually "go" to the Light and have a feeling of Peace (often also Love) engulfing them. They clearly see that they are leaving their body, their room and the whole world to get to a place where the Light now looks like a being of Light, and that's when they are told "it is not your time to die" and they get back to their room, body to tell us their story. But, unlike you, they see that experience as wonderful, and not as terrifying. These poeple who had NDE are not afraid to die anymore, they just see it as a transition, and even as "getting back home" to the place where they feel they belong and they are "loved".

Again, sorry for being so long.
I would just summarize that either you were in the hypnagonic state (awake but with some dreaming) or you might have been inching toward and NDE (or just your guardian angel was warning you).

Let me suggest you to have a look at the follwing NDE site:

http://www.iands.org/

look for public disccusions boad and there look for NDE narratives.

No entity can push you out of your body, you are the sole owner of it, by God! The power of your will (and of everyone's) is much more powerfull than any "small black cloud like entity" in the astral (if there is any such).

You will see from the NDE site, that when you die, there is always a "loving" guadian angel to take care of you and that you are actually never, NEVER, alone. You do have guardian angel always with you at all time (and everyone does). ANd this light being takes you to a higher place.

I wish you all the best and do not hesitate to post or even to leave a message (by clicking on the name of the member) if you feel so.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / astral

The deads are not suppose to stay for long in the astral... they are supposed to move on to other "planes", etc... but they might be there for some purpose (guardians?)... or if someone practice a "seance" then for sure some deads (spirits) will show up, at least that's what is  expected from the "theory".

So the astral plane is certainly a place to start if you want to call some dead people, from there they can easily "hear" you and get back to you as soon as possible.

However, you can also "call the deads" from the physical, with prayers, lighting candles, or just in dreams. You can wish before you sleep to meet with some deceased relatives, and after many attempts you might succeed. If you have many pictures and feelings for someone who died recently it can actually "bother" that deceased person, because you are not letting her/him go to her/his duty into the "other world".

I found that "seances" are probably the easiest and quickest way to get in contact with the "deads".

Good luck and let us know about your "contacts".

It sounds like some little nightmares, in that sens that I would rather claim that your physical body is the source of all that rather than seing something external in the astral trying to really attack or invade you. Nightmares with animals are most of the time messages from you subconscious that your body does not feel well for some reason or another. I had nightmares with animals running after me, such as gorillas, bulls, .. I have heard of nithtmares/dreams with snakes, dogs,... Usually it is realted to the digestif system, and you do not need to have eaten before that. Digestif problem can appear a whole day after you ate the junk or whatever causes problems. Nightmares come not only because of digestion, they can come because of feaver, or other physical conditions. Surely mental conditions where someone is afraid of something in her/his life without even noticing it, will induce such nightmares too. Dreams of earthquakes or natural disasters often means that someone is afraid (without knowing it) of the future of her/his own life (such as for example moving to a new place, new job, new friend, etc...).

Anyhow, if you think it could still be in the astral some spirit of some kind, you must know that NONE, that is none except YOU, can enter your body! You can light a candle while making a prayer/wish that this spirit goes away. It often works to light a candle and pray God and ask explicitly that the spirit goes away and leaves you alone. Then let the candle burn down all by itself.

I see World War III coming up... it has already started in the middle east.... I see very soon a war with Syria and Israel... a mess up in Irak... a situation in the middle east that gets out of control... maybe even the use of an atomic bomb there... I see more terrorism around the world... and more polarization in the world... I do not sens anything really good to come... Even the bible anounces some apocalyptic time... it is at the door and someone just opened it...

Take care

As a big green shaman I can testify that weed is good in two ways: as insens and in salads!

The most common weeds in your garden: dandelions and common plantains can both be used (use the leaves and flowers) in salads. Even in Turkey one uses them slightly boiled for 5 minutes with olive oil and some youghourt. Delicious and healthy. So don't cut the weed in your garden, grow it and eat it!

Insens will help you to relax, some are very aromatic, a common one is the benzoin (styrax) usually mixed with other things such as oregano of Crete, etc...

You have no idea how weed in your garden can be so good for you: some can be used in teas, other in salads, other as remedies, other to apply directly on the skin (against insect bites, but also some are good against snake bites, bleeding, inflamation...).

YOu know the famous Mandrakes (see H. Potter for example) are really dangerous plants, that can induce hallucination if you eat them, inhale them or just even touch them. These kind of plants are forbiden in many countries because of that. Fortunatley most of the weed in your garden are not poisonous.

Dark Knight,

Thanks for sharing you interpretation.. I really think you pointed to a very important thing... when we do not (are not able) to think with words (like when we are in the womb) we certainly are not aware of the past and future but only of the present... our consciousness about anticipating the future and our nostalgy (memory) of the past are not yet there, as we are experiencing the same monotonic sensation of warm, darkness,... in the womb of our mother. Sure during NDE there is always that sensation of Peace engulfing the person, it goes very well with your interpretation. We return to that sensation where there is not past, future, out of the time and into peacefullness.

Thanks!

Welcome to Dreams! / Deja vu while dreaming
October 08, 2003, 08:33:34
From my experience I see that only a very small fraction of dreams are premonitory. The rest of the dreams might either be with a lot of symbolism and therefore difficult to interpret, and other dreams seem to be just dreams from our mind. Premonitory dreams are usually vivid and you remember them easily when you wake up in the morning. If they are very explicit premonition then things will happen exactly the same way as in the dream and just a few days later...

Leyla,

Was the man dressed all in black??? He had a scar in his palm, did he have 2 smaller scars on the other side of his hand??

I would expect your guardian angel to be either native american or russian, that is: someone from your ancestors, family, as you mentioned to me in a previous posting native american and russian. Though he could be just a friend visiting you for a short while (he  would not be your Main Guardian Angel - the one who stays with you all your life, but rather one that appears at a period of your life for a short time).

It happened to me that I knew things about people but it was only a little bit of information at a time, such as congradulating a colleague who got a new job when he himself learned about it only 30min before and none else knew..., or sensing someone is about to die (mainly family people),... but nothing like your big guy.

And by the way, you have the most wonderfull, amazing, surprizing postings on the forum! I always end up reading your postings, they are very interesting and intriguing!

Hi Tisha,

if we go way back before Jesus, all the way to one of the first written documents, we find the Epic of Gilgamesh, written in cuneiform I think... It is the story of a King in Summer. In there we find a description of the flood similar to the one in the old testement. Anyhow, in the epic of guilgamesh there are some description of sexual acts with many details... This seems to indicate that is was not viewed as a sin at all. Similarly in the Indian culture one finds very old temples with sculptures depicting sexual activity (a little bit like the famous Kama Sutra). Now, even in the Old testement flesh is not banned. However, it seems that the original dead sea scrolls (found in the qumram caves in the holy land) which are an exact copy of the Old testement, had a scene that was removed. That scene is one depiciting the beauty of the wife of Abraham, who was well known for her beauty. This is a first sign of some kind of "backward" reaction in the old scripture. HOwever, in the Jewish religion, which is based mainly on the Old Testement, flesh is not a sinn at all. On the contrary, on Sabbath (saturday) it is the duty of the couple to have sex,.. you know what.It is known as Mizvat Shabat (one of the duties to be carried out on Saturday...). It is also written that one has to be happy and enjoy life. In many celebrations, wine is a must. You don't have to be drunk, but to drink a little, and be happy!!

I hope this helps you to see where flesh=good, and therfore find out where flesh=bad came from.

Welcome to Dreams! / Deja vu while dreaming
October 07, 2003, 09:54:55
In the dream world you can remember things that you have forgotten during the time you are awake. That is a first important fact to know. You dream world seems to have an complete memory (I would not dare say 'absolute').

From my very own experience, "deja-vus" are indeed (and in part, not always) dreams that we have of our future. And when our future happens, and we don't remember we dreamed it, we have that sens of "deja-vu". This happened to me when I was a kid, and I dreamed that I was in the elevator with a neighbour from the 5th floor and that accidentally he skiped my floor (1st), then he stopped the elevator and pushed 1 for me. The next day it happened exactly that way. I had many other "deja-vus" but without the memory of the dream, only the memory of the event. These days I have dreams that are often vision of the future, but not my future, rather some big event in the news. Often the memory of the "deja vu" or of the "event of the future" (premonition) are exact replica of how I remember, after a long time, the way I have lived these events. So that it seems that during our dreams, we are having knowledge not of the event it self but of its memory, as if it had already happend long ago. It seems to me that the future is already there for us, waiting to be lived and we are tapping into that source of information during our sleep/dreams.

Keep an eye open for premonitions!

This topic has been discussed at least twice recently...

When one relaxes, the state of transe is reached. That is basically a state "on the way to sleep", and as such it is known in dream study as the "hypnagonic state" (scientifically defined). During that state one already starts to have visions and hearing like in the dream like realm. So all the sounds and visions that one has while trying to OBE are usually that. There are additional sounds that people can. (1) the famous vibrations that sounds like a high pitch whistling (like a TV turned on); these vibrations are the sign that "the door to the astral has been open for you", or if you prefer that you are ready to OBE. (2) often it sounds that sounds are amplified very much, sounds like our very own "snoring, breathing", or sounds from ouside (in the garden, kitchen,...). So that all in all there are 3 kinds of sounds that you can hear. THe most important question is what are these sounds from the hypnagonic state? Scientist believe they are just dream like things, while "we" believe they are from the astral realm (spirits talking to us...).

To me it looks like a "rubber ducky"...

Weel this might have to do with the psychology of forms, in that sens that our mind has the ability to make us see things where they are not, but it is very good when one wants to check our imagination and productivity... As for example to see all kind of weird animals, faces in the clouds...Even, there are some forms that have been there for thousands of years and have now been accepted to be what they are: the constellations in the night sky! The Lion, the head of Taurus (the bull), Orion, Scorpion, ... these are only a few of the best known examples that really looks the way they are called. For an unexperienced eye it is not straightforward, but for someone who gazes at the night sky from time to time, they are very familiar freidnly features of the sky...

So, I guess, you probably have a good imagination, and are very good at the "psychology of forms" (some of these are use in psychometric tests!).

"what's the function of a rubber ducky?" question asked to Harry Potter by Mr. Weasley in Harry Potter II. No answer was given...

Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / Dream
October 07, 2003, 09:13:31
Sorry I don't think I can interprete your dream, but I just wanted to make a few things clear to you:

there are dreams, normal dreams that usually people forget quite quickly in the morning.

There are VIVID dreams: these are dreams that are so strong, so intense that you do not forget them, even long after you woke up you remember them (that's what you had).

There are LUCID dreams: these are dreams that you know you are dreaming while in the middle of the dream. As you become LUCID (conscious of the dream state) the dream might become more intense. So usually Lucid dreams are also vivid. However, it all started from a sleeping state.

OBE is usually when you start from a awake state and goes straight into the astral world without falling asleep/dreaming. However, from there all can turn into a dream. OBE is usually at a higher level of lucidity than lucid dream, it is like real life, or almost the same.

Anyhow your vivid dream sounds good to me!

Very interesting experience Nagual!

I have been in the void place once, but as you said it is different. I was there in the dakrness, no sound, no sensation of my body at all, not even my heartbeat or breathing, nothing at all, just my very own mind/consciousness to think. And I was thinking I want to wake up. I want to feel my body. But I could not. I was just there in the complete void for a few sec (5-10sec), it seems. But I had my mind to think, my will to want, my determination to try, etc... Maybe becasue of the sensation of peacefulness you did not have any thoughts, but you could have had one ..? Do you understand what I mean? You were just absorbed in the void place, absorbed by peacefulness and therefore you were enjoying instead of deciding.. a little bit as when you watch a movie, you are mostly passif, not actif.. could it be that it was because of that sensation of peacefulness?
#266
By the way I have actually heard that the military and government would be interested in person OBEing... like for example OBEing to Moscow, or other places... so the big bald black guy sounds like the "head of the CIA" in Lilo and Stitch... or even in any other movie.... Sorry to refer you to movies...

But please, be careful!
#267
If he were your guardian he would be able to "apparate" anywhere, in your bedroom, ... but mainly in your DREAMS, not next to your work...

I suspect it is a person who is on the web doing research on you... You have posted some of your dreams and OBE here, so if he found you here he knows all that from here.

Have you seen the moive "the net" with Sandra B.? It is exactly that, a person who is chatting with Sandra on the net and he knows all what she reveals on the net, her favorite drinks, her favorite books, what she is doing, etc.... So for sure this person is NOT a REAL guardian angel but a FAKE. BE careful!!! It could be a friend making a bad joke, or worse someone who has been spying on you that way for a while already. I do not see why he should be from the militray or the government (that would still be understandable and OK). The worst is that if this person is just unsane!

PLEASE, TAKE CARE!!!!!

Is there anything this bold guy knew that you did not tell anybody???? Is there such a thing?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / New Fears..
October 02, 2003, 11:45:53
congradulations!

I am glad to hear you got there!
The dream with the Zombies... it must have a deeper meaning than just what it seems... The Zombies might represent something in you, something that your subconscious is trying to tell you, like for example that you are running away from the reality of your own (everyday) life.. And then when you kneel in front of them, you actually face that reality and are therefore rewarded by the Zombies for at last facing that. Now that realities itself might be for example the fear, if the Zombies were symbols of fear. I am just guessing. But sure you might find a deeper meaning to all that.

good work.
As to me, I have to calm down before I can get back to normal...

To me it seems that when we lose consciousness we only lose the memory of that part. So that the conscious mind is always there, we are always aware of something, our life in the physical, our dreams, etc... but then at one point there is an "eraser" that makes the memory of a given period dissapear. And when we are back to normal memory, then we cannot remember where we were, what we did, what we saw, what we heard, etc... Exactly as in the dream world. If you don't make an effort to remember your dreams, in the morning you can say that you were not conscious all the night and you went to bed, put your head on the pillow, locsed your eyes, and then - nothing - a gap - and then suddenly it is morning and time to get up... Well it is just a "loss of memory" that we were conscious, this is how I define non-consicousness. We are always conscious, but we get some memory fault signal that erase a part of it and that part we then call it "without" consciousness, it is really without "memory" of consciousness.

Does anyone else agree?

College means that it is at a degree higher than high school. You will need to go to the library of a University of some kind and look at the books they have there. There are some good books for undergraduate studies by the Schaum Series, Courant Hilbert tome I and II, etc... for example. You will need to know exactly what field of study. Math is very wide... Geometry, Algebra, Calculus, Differential and Integral Calculus (with possibly partial differential equations), Calculus of Variation, .... and if you are interested in Quantum physics you will have to learn probabilities too and some basic courses in PHysics in Thermodynamics, Statistical Physics, Classical Mechanics (with Lagrangian Dynamics and some calculus of variation), Electrodynamics, Optics, and eventually an introduction to QUantum physics course I, II and III...

Do you know what you are up to with Quantum physics? Math is probably enough to start with...

Good luck !

a quadratic equation just means an equation of degre 4 (quadra=4, like in spanish...). That means an equation where x is to the power 4 and lower (3,2,1 and 0). Binomial, means a polynomial of second degree, or if you prefer where you have only up to power 2.

There is no remedy for you but to go to the books. Make a search in an University library or in the deparmtent of Math somewhere. There is no magic, you need to study and practice. As for the teachers, of course don't expect them to explain things to you, it is up to you to make the effort I guess.

You can always post any question here and I'll do my best to answer you or to refer you to a textbook of some kind.

As to the "why" of things better are books like Courant and Hilbert, Schaum is better for practical aplications.

Good luck !

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / To Mr. Bruce

Hey Heph...

You can close your eyes and when you are in the sun you will notice that you actually see some oragne-pink colors behind your eyelids. Maybe this is whay Robert is talking about? You know the life of an unborn baby is quite advanced than previously thought. Some babies already suck their thumb there, and quite early; others respond to sounds, voices;

I have a more fundamental question for Robert Bruce however, it is the one of abortion. When is the biological body inhabitated by us? at what early stage? Is it in the first seconds of the egg? Or is it much later? I asked that because many think that abortion is OK, but if we are already there so early as a foetus then there might be a real problem?

Thanks again for your explanations.

If you dream that you loose one tooth it might be the sign that some relative of your will transit to the other world.

If you dream you are loosing all your teeth, it is you who might be transiting very soon. However, if you manage to keep your teeth (you pick them up and keep them in your pocket for example) then it means that you will get hurt but will not transit.

As to just a 'hole' in your tooth, I do not know. I have dreamed a few times that pieces of my teeth were falling, though the teeth staid attached and nothing (that I can remember) happen. So I do not think it is a premonitory sign, and if it is I do not know what it might mean.

There is also a psychological way of explaing the dream in which you loose a teeth, as there is a 'rational' explanation for every dream. However, I found that some are really premonitory.

Keep us posted about your dreams and if anything happens. I hope only good things.

Welcome to Book Reviews! / T Lobsang Rampa
October 01, 2003, 10:09:11
Tuesday Lobsang Rampa,

for the normal people, it is just another of these science fiction books, which are put on the same side of the shelve with the books of R. Bruce. For the "more qualified" people dealing with OBE, they don't really like him, and I am not even sure why.

Anyhow, I was just a kid when my older brother got these books of Rampa (that was 30 years ago). Whether all that is true or not does not matter to me, as of course none can also answer whether the astral is real or not. No scientific proof has been established, so that it is non sens to discredit Rampa, while all the other books on the topics have also not been scientifically validated, but neither refuted I must add. I think one of the reasons the books of Rampa (and I am writting the books of Ramp, not Rampa himself) are important is because they introduced quite early (60s) the culture and practices of the Thibetans to a world that did not move an inch to stop the invasion of Thibet by China. Not only did Tuesday Rampa told about the astral realm, he also told about the cruelty of the chinese when they invade Thibet (and they are still there!!). So, to be short, I would say that even if all what is in his books is not true, it has at least pushed the people in the western world to have a look at what was happening in Thibet, militarily and spiritually speaking. As to the person himself, he is supposedly a thibetan monk who, because his physical body has been badly damaged, though he still had to accomplish on this planet, got re-incarnated in the body of a grown up (the plumber).

I must thank Tuesday Rampa for his books, as I enjoyed reading them and I learned a few true things from there.

One of his books is telling about the death of his brother as a child (in Thibet), it is also telling about his early childhood, the invasion of Thibet by the Chinese Army... I also remember the story of him coming to Vencouvert I think, not sure. He got crashed by a car on purpose to steal him his belongings. He also tells of the story of the plumber first falling from a tree (?) and having an accidental OBE and meeting with those who suggest him to give his physical body to Tuesday. And then he tells the story of the plumber who has a hard time to live with a wife, as a Thibetan he never did before, etc.... Anyhow, I think you can learn things from the book, even if you believe it is not true. As I said, Science has not proven any of all the stuff here on this forum to be true.... so it is up to you.
