Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Take it easy guys.

Quote from: Dazino on April 27, 2011, 20:26:07Except, perhaps those two guys who appeared to be trolls. Then again, the way they spoke, they had to have known they were going to get talked down. Everyone I met here seems to be helpful to some degree: they state their beliefs and such, and share what they think will be helpful.

That's what I figure... this board has to be one of the most well-behaved and open minded communities on the internet. Those two were patronizing and arrogant to put it delicately. If we're going to make threads preaching etiquette around here then it should be applied to everyone. The new members are new to projection, not to manners.

You gotta tell me your secret for the hours-long projection, dayumn. A ton of substance in your most recent experiences there, fascinating read... keep'm coming.

Yeah, I have been smoking weed alot lately and have been pretty close to a.p.. Any tips??

Depending on how much is "alot" I would scale back... it can assist spiritual experiences for some people but if the high is controlling you and not vice-versa, you should take a break for a while.

I agree that we should all keep an open mind.

On the other hand... the spectrum of non-physical experience is like degrees on a thermometer. Okay so we don't know where exactly where "lukewarm" ends and "hot" begins but we have a good idea, don't we? When I first stumbled upon astral projection I was like.. "Okay, this is just dreaming, isn't it?" In a way it is, but for an outsider it should be made clear that lukewarm isn't scalding hot. Repeating "It's all heat energy, it's all heat energy, it's all heat energy" when someone asks about the temperature outside doesn't do them any good. Repeating "It's all non-physical experience, it's all non-physical experience, it's all non-physical experience" would've turned me away from this practice in the beginning. Yea, it's all non-physical experience but it's also important to note the differences. That's how people build a foundation with which to base their own observations. Until telepathy takes off.. like I've said in the past, we'll have to settle for semantics. If you don't want to argue ideas there's always simply sharing experiences, which is just as fun I find.

Agreed also... I quite frequently assume the shape and form of animals... especially a dog or quadraped. I use this for running around... I grab the ground and pull myself along.

Haha, gotta try that sometime..

Quote from: Xanth on April 27, 2011, 09:42:09You could be a point of consciousness experiencing that other reality frame... or you could be just as you see yourself right now (with a full body) experiencing that reality frame.  Hell, you could be a floating hand or arm, and it wouldn't matter.  Having a "body" isn't more or less validating as the other.

Agreed. I recently discovered I can percieve a body from the poc perspective by simply focusing on it, and will conversely fall into the poc perspective if I initiate flight/place my focus on the environment.

1) Meditate regularly.

2) Try waking up early morning and attempting then... might be less convenient but your body craves REM sleep at this time.
#283
I turn off the "mental chatter" and focus solely on the vibrations... as long as you hold onto your awareness you should pop out somewhere. I've said it before... vibrational sleep paralysis is like surfing a wave. You got to take advantage in the moment and ride to shore. Once you get the hang of it it'll become second nature.

wind? biological weapon.. im suprised i dint wake up to zombies roaming around... but seriously its good to know i almost projected... CURSE U FART!

Don't curse it... learn from it... for it was the one that had the true out of body experience.

Thank you and good night!  8-)
#285
After some heavy contemplation I conclude that you projected... wind.

I'm sure I'd be labeled batshit crazy to 90% of the population if I openly shared my beliefs.

That said, I have very little in common with any form of devout Christian and personally can't stand them.
#287
Hey bro, nice to meet a fellow fan of the herb.

I'm pretty sure you had an OBE, as I will sometimes have a dream that follows my OBE's where I'm either recording what happened during it or explaining what happened to a random person. Well done.
#288
If I want a guaranteed conscious experience I wake up in the middle of the night, wait about a half hour, maybe toke a bit, meditate for 10-30 minutes with hemisync on my ipod, and fall asleep into vibrational sleep paralysis.

Quote from: Tee1234 on April 26, 2011, 03:54:08Like if you have a time limit on your "obe" then I dont think were experiencing the same thing.

I could say I've had the same exact experience as you... up until the quoted words. I struggle to make my experiences last as long as I'd like them to. We could still relate to each other in my eyes, but the way you define everything down to the last detail I'd assume you wouldn't want to relate to me. So you're basically shutting out a whole lot of people by being picky about what constitutes an OBE. Just my 2 cents...
#290
Your definition of an OBE is far too detailed for an experience that involves varying degrees of so many elements.

Quote from: Greytraveller on April 23, 2011, 22:46:32After that I met 2 familiar women. We went upstairs to their third floor rooms.  We were about to go to bed together when this ended.

Awww, damn it! :feels your pain:  :-D

Good read... just curious though, why did you get into bed? Seems if I was projecting I'd want to do anything *but* fall asleep.
#292
^ That's all pretty incredible.  :-o

I was mad? Gee, I wasn't aware... I thought I was simply analyzing your "rant" and pointing out its flaws. No one's opinion makes me mad, bro. I'm just not one to use the "hugbox" mentality so you'll often see me speak my mind when I disagree with someone... but if it helps ascribe to my words whatever emotion you wish, I guess.

You didn't know? The pros get their own special section of the prison... they call it the mental ward.  8-)

all I'm saying is wouldn't things be better if there was less of us and keep some of the great techs that actually help us.

Where do these "techs" learn their craft? Out in the wilderness with ol' Jethro and John Boy?

Quote from: the8reader on April 23, 2011, 22:14:37
Do we really need huge city's with a Bunch of worth less fu**s.

So what do "we" need? People who only take what they need from the land for themselves? That's a perfectly acceptable way to live, don't get me wrong... but "we" don't need it because it doesn't benefit "us."

Quote from: the8reader on April 23, 2011, 22:14:37I'm not against people but i think there would be less of us if we just stopped with alot of the nonsense that we do. Like saving lives in other countries, bums on the street, and who ever else we have to feed and give money to o ya, almost forgot. WELLFARE get rid of that crap. Half the people on it are just to lazy to get a job. if you cant take care of youself then you die...

So it's dumb to have empathy, compassion, etc?

Quote from: the8reader on April 23, 2011, 22:14:37
i am the bad guy for living off the land

But there's a difference between living off the land and "living off the land" Into the Wild-style, isn't there? You enjoy the same consumerism, technologies, medicines, etc. that people do in the city where these things were invented. You just have the added benefit of being removed from it. Others aren't as lucky.

Quote from: the8reader on April 23, 2011, 22:14:37
i just don't understand people anymore we are just getting dumb and dumber. you know the song country boy can survive well it is quite true so if you live in a city and u are offended by this then maybe you should look in yourself and then learn some survival skills.

We are all products of our environment... your survival skills in the country are different from another's survival skills in the city.

If you feel you have "survival skills" to truly live off the land then you should throw your city-made luxuries out and head off into the woods, build your own shelter, hunt for food everyday, brush your teeth with twigs, etc. Until then I think your rant is pretty hypocritical and void of the things that make humans NOT dumb... compassion, empathy, creativity, communication, etc.

Nonsensical monologues don't serve much purpose in this forum, let alone in this section... but in the interest of keeping your "ideas" concentrated in a single area I'd implore the mods to allow it.

For me it is a clear distinct transitionary state.

I haven't tried phasing although my friend uses this method and didn't realise it had a name... I have had instances where I inadvertently phased.

When you say 3D blackness... do you mean the void-like environment that forms into the metaphysical after anchoring? This sometimes comes after I have either actively separated or during SP.

In my experience...

SP: I perceive my body and have to put effort into attaining the projection state. The visual is your typical behind the eyelids black.

3DB: I don't perceive my body, feels like I'm "on the edge" in a multi-dimensional environment being forced into the projection state. The visual is a much livelier black, from what I remember.
#298
You actually raise an interesting issue I was thinking of turning into a thread... that being, is there a clear distinction between the 3D Blackness and vibrational Sleep Paralysis? I too experience VSP but remember the 3DB as a child as being different... it takes effort to project from VSP but with the 3DB from what I remember, it takes no effort at all. Both are "pre-projection states" if you will... so wouldn't sleep paralysis be included with 3D Blackness under Focus 21/FZ?

This sounds more like an OBE than a conventional dream.

Quote from: Knowledge Hound on April 23, 2011, 13:06:33I started thinking that maybe shadow beings are beings who have physical bodies in other realms but just enjoy the realm in which I saw him in.

Interesting theory worth investigating.

Quote from: Knowledge Hound on April 23, 2011, 13:06:33(1). What was the meaning of the color of my eye's and mouth? When I noticed it, it didn't frighten me or alarm me, I felt happy that although my body was black and featureless the window's to my soul (my eyes) and my mouth were a bright and attractive color amid the dark colors.

I'm no expert on symbology so I'll go with the old standby... the Hindu concept of chakras. The green may represent the heart chakra which represents among other things, "persona and shadow." It's function is obviously love and all that fun stuff. However, I believe your intuition should be your primary tool for interpretation and as you said, the color highlighted the "window to your soul."

(Cred. http://www.spirit-self.com/2009/03/the-seven-chakras/)

Quote from: Knowledge Hound on April 23, 2011, 13:06:33(2). What do these shadow beings want? why was it either watching me or asking for attention then got very interested once I gave it the attention?

They are probably the most common entity reported on here. I couldn't tell you what they want though as I haven't had much experience with them. Maybe someone will come along and offer their belief on the matter. Do a history search, I bet there's plenty of reports of a similar nature.

Lucid Dream: You KNOW you're dreaming, any further distinction is more or less subjective interpretation... upgrade to AP/OBE if you are fully conscious with cognitive function intact.

Phasing: Perception of separation from body isn't noticed, smoother transition generally... usually induced consciously.

Classic OBE: Perception of separation from body is noticed and you'll get a range of sensory input during transition... usually indirect/spontaneous.

OBE/AP: More or less the same thing... people differentiate based on where you end up (Here-Now/RTZ/Etheric vs. Astral Plane/Fantasy Land) but I see them as synonymous.
