I think in addition to what Stillwater said is that sexual restraint in some cases is about being able to maintain control over animalistic desires and has more to do with developing will than holding in energy. I'm sure many of us know the sexual distractions of non-physical experiences.

I do think a blueprint would be really useful but it really needs to highlight that there is no quick way of projecting and that patience is a virtue.

Agreed. Projection is an art. You can learn aspects to get you going from others, but you have jump in and gain your own experience over time to create real art. It should flow out of your own essence with a deep inner desire. Steps and rules can only get you so far.

And the people that read and leave are probably not ready. I think it's an inner drive that brings people towards AP and if the drive is enough they won't give up so easily. I'm a karma-believer and think sometimes all a person needs is seed planted. It might sprout later... maybe even in another incarnation.

I think SP is overblown... it's not necessary to AP. I've only experienced it once, maybe twice, and it was returning from a projection. But if I want to physically move, I can, though when I'm trying to AP, I'm not thinking about my body or trying to move it. SP never comes into the equation.

CFTraveler said several times that SP tends to happen more often in the process of waking up than falling asleep, and can even indicate that your experience is already over and you missed it.

I know other people report AP's in relation to SP, but they are almost always spontaneous, not during an attempt. And a lot of other people call some states SP that clearly aren't SP.

My 2 cents.

Sorry for the late reply. Anything that involves the evolution of man kind and how it all began

Here's another free Rudolf Steiner book. It encompasses A LOT of stuff, but there is a section called "Cosmic evolution and the human being" as well as "Cosmic and human evolution now and in the future". It goes into Lemurian and Atlantean epochs of evolution and how it's led to where we're at now, also in relation to animals, plants, & minerals.

Yep, the internet is changing how music is made and distributed, and the music labels can't stand it. It's not as necessary to have managers and promoters and agents to get your music heard in large numbers. You can produce a professional quality music video for just a few thousand dollars, and that includes equipment and editing software. I love it when people take matters into their own hands and do it their own way. The leechers at the top hate it.

Thanks for sharing the tunes guys.

You still have to work through your ego to participate in this world - it's how we function and relate and build relationships. You can't pretend it doesn't exist, you have a name and an identity that you're tied to, though you can come to a different relationship with your ego and eventually transform it into something higher. But to deny it is impossible. If anything, you have to confront the ugliest parts of yourself to change them.

The point of light you're watching is simply a single snapshot among many snapshots...

That's what all video is. (The moving pictures on your TV aren't real ).

the speaker is kind of misleading, except he uses the term "virtual", which, I guess, makes it all better.  LoL

He's not misleading - that's exactly what he explained in the video. Nor does it make it less real - how the light is actually reflected and bounced is seen. Doesn't make it any less fascinating to me.

I don't do anything with my hands - I have to find an inner determination to utilize the dream and take control. I'll suddenly feel it's very important to gain full lucidity and then demand it, though until I do, I'm caught in the flow. I suppose it's similar to "clarity now!", but the feeling that it's really important is what makes it happen. It can just be hard to muster up that feeling when you're in the flow.

Perhaps Death and Life are just different states of being, that, if God's Spirit is the Absolute Potential, then death is actually a way for us to return to Spirit, and reorganize and gain better vantage for our experience of a construct like reality.

:) I like how you put that

Well written Wi11iam :)

I watched this earlier today and was fascinated. I've never seen video of light traveling before. I think he said they capture it at over a billion frames per second.  :-o

If Randi didn't have that stupid challenge, would anyone here even know who he was? I sure wouldn't. Why does he get so much credit? It sounds like he's a half-assed Penn & Teller.

When I was beginning the vibes would be so intense they would scare the crap out of me... I would start off ready and sure of myself, then panic when they started to get intense. I was afraid of how I was breathing & my heart-rate. Eventually I just told myself I would get through them no matter what and hoped I lived through it. Everything has been OK since, no health related problems or injury :D.

But yes, they can feel so intense you assume you're putting yourself in jeopardy, but I highly doubt that's ever the case.

QuoteThen imagine yourself moving backwards into the expanse of your mind and you should be able to activate your Crown centre.

That was a post before he stopped talking about chakras. Later he refused to acknowledge their existence or incorporate them into exercises due to so much "mystical" misunderstanding about them.

I only bring this up because there were arguments about whether chakra meditation was necessary or not, and towards the end, Frank's stance was "absolutely not". I rarely see these earlier threads where he talks about them.

I understand there may be some legitimacy to these types of things, but the whole Kurt situation went a LOT deeper than this one thread. It's long over and not worth digging up.

Does it matter?
Its Slash.

100% correct :D

Though right now he's touring to promote his new album, so a lot of it will probably be from that.

What ever happened to kurtykurt42? I would love to hear some results from his experiments, especially this Magnetic Vortex Generator. Does anyone know if he has an online website?

I think he got upset with both me and Xanth. I don't want to come down on Kurt, I have no ill feelings towards him, but his experiments were ego-boosting science fiction stories, and he wasn't really doing anything relevant with this forum anyways.

Makes perfect sense to me. The ego isn't "evil" or anything, but something to be transformed through will, intent, feeling, & action in accordance with the higher self. It's connecting to that higher self that makes it seem so difficult and lets the ego take control of our lives.

I read a book a while back called "The Spiritual Man" and was written in the early 1900's by a man in a chinese prison who was there for practicing Christianity. His interpretation of things (using christian concepts) were very similar to what you wrote: God (HS) is untouchable/unknowable from our physical perspective. Everything physical he called "of the flesh", which is Lucifer's illusion of reality and beckons the ego. It's up to us to find the "Christ" in us through intent, thinking, willing, and feeling, as it's the only connection between our fallen selves (of the flesh) and God.

In a more practical aspect it's broken down to Physical (lucifer), Astral (christ), Spirit (god). It can simply be the difference between acting from impulses coming your lower astral body versus higher astral.

QuoteI mean, it was the 80's, it was a "horror flick" by John Carpenter, and it stars a wrestler.

"80's", "horror", "John Carpenter", "Pro Wrestler" - That's 4 things right there that makes it an awesome movie! Watch it with Escape from New York and Big Trouble in Little China and you have an awesome Saturday afternoon.

Charging money to teach the stuff we know is a small price really.

No, no, no... this stuff is a GIVEN. No one should be expected to pay a dime to find their own essence. You have the RIGHT as a human to access it for free. We are not here to work, to make money, so we can buy our way back to spirit.

Quote from: Xanth on July 24, 2012, 21:31:19
For if they didn't charge money, they probably wouldn't be able to survive here long enough to not only learn the skills, but to pass them along.  :)

No way. Anyone can learn this while having a regular job. We're all passing along what we've learned without having to write a book or give a lecture. And I trust the person that is doing this from their heart before the person that is charging anything for it. I don't mean that everyone out there who is making money is a scam artist... far from it, there are really good people out there who do, but for true seekers, it's not necessary to have to pay anyone. If you want to, just be mindful of who you're giving your money to.

It's probably feedback coming from yourself and nothing external, it just appears that way. It's sometimes called "the guardian of the threshold", but it's basically a projection of your fear or subconscious expectations. I think another term is "old hag syndrome" - people would experience and old hag or something ghastly sitting on their chest, weighing them down. Whatever you imagine it to be, it can become.

Can't say for sure, but that's my guess.

Here's a trick: everyday take 5 minutes to hold onto a thought in your head. If you're good at visualization, try to picture an object or something simple in your mind for the entire 5 minutes. Do this everyday until you can hold it for the full 5 minutes with NO interrupting distractions. Then do 6 minutes, and so on.

If you practice this everyday outside of your projection attempts, you'll notice a huge increase in your concentration both during an AP attempt and in daily life. It's not an exciting exercise and you have to keep with it for a long time, but it's VERY beneficial in the long run.

You need to eat. If I was close by I would bring you some food and green tea for your stomach. You really have no options? Even a cup of soup or ramen?
