Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / binural sounds?
January 13, 2004, 14:07:04
I have a few of those 'hemi-sync' cds from the monroe institute.

they're pretty cool [8D]

my collection so far includes-

-'transcendence'-induces deep trance, but it's difficult to stay awake once you get down to a certain point.a good 'borderline state' exercise cd.it's probably possible to learn to project using this one,but it would take a lot of practice.

-'tribal journeys'-a fascinating blend of binaural pulses, and repetitive african drumming.once, when I got half-way through the cd,I suddenly got the rushes that signal the astral body leaving the physical.it only lasted a second, because I surprised myself out of it[:O].

-'think fast'-a self hypnosis cd that is supposed to increase the efficiency of the brains information processing.haven't had this one for very long.

I wish I could do this more often.

one experience:

I shot myself out of my body like a bullet, and headed straight into the sky.I passed through some cloudcover, and after that,I noticed that the sky was becoming progressively darker.I started to see the stars.I willed myself to pick up even more speed.I was headed into deep space, and could feel the incredible distances around me.I was travelling very, very fast.I noticed that I was headed for an area that didn't have a whole lot of stars, and noticed more to my right (it turned out to be towards the centre of our galaxy).despite the speed,I wasn't getting any closer to any stars, and started to worry about going too far,and was pulled back to my body.

another experience.this was before the one above:

I "buzzed" out of my body through the floor, and into the kitchen.it looked just like it did in real life, only everything was 'shining from within'.I looked out the window, and saw the low morning sun.I flew through the window.I felt the usual 'tickle' as I passed through solid matter.I flew at a low angle into the sky.I switched to another angle of vision, and saw some houses below, but it was kind of confusing,so I switched back to frontal vision.I flew quickly into the sky.the sky got progressively darker, and the sun got progressively brighter.I adjusted my vision so it wouldn't be so bright (like a filter).I flew into space, and focused on the sun as a target.I flew for a couple of minutes, very, very fast.it was taking too long to get there,so I 'stretched' and did the 'instant travel' method.I was then very close to the sun (probably several hundred thousand miles away). The surface of the sun looked like a roiling, boiling ocean of fire.I was distracted by my foot propped against the bedpost, and was pulled back to my body.

DAMN I wish I could achieve that more often.now its once a year at best!:(that just isn't good enough (tips?).

my next destination is mars,or the moon,or any other planet I can reach.I am especially interested in looking for ruins on,and in mars.

up until very recently,I used to be terrified of sleeping on my back.I would always have sleep paralysis episodes,as well as bizzare spirit visitations seen w/astral sight.I have had so many of them that the fear of them is totally gone!

I do find it somewhat difficult to get relaxed while lying on my back.In order to have any success at all in meditation or projection,I have to do a lot of stretches and yoga before I even attempt anything.

for some reason, I find that I cannot project at all in any other position except on my back.

VORLAX the flying headless chicken rules all[:)]
resistance is futile.

and a Ikki ikki ikki putang zupoi to everyone.

seriously though, whoever they are, they seem rather warped,w/a nice big smile on the outside[;)].

they are really projecting their own emotional issuses onto the people and world around them.typical, but taken to a rediculous degree.

we should all play along w/it,and e-mail them saying we have total activation of alien dna,and contact them regularily, and are planning a huge takeover[:D]

#305
I'll have to check into that...

thanks[:)]

I would like to relate an experience I had a few years ago-I noticed that I could feel vibrations around stones.I had one that was covered in fossils.I was just running my hand back and forth over the stone.I closed my eyes and saw pictures of energy field patterns.then I looked at my palm, and their was a perfectly round, red circle in the centre of my palm![:O]

the next day,I got horribly sick!

I think it might have had something to do w/energy blockages.

after that,I started to have SERIOUS telekinetic dreams, like they were 'teaching' me.

I never really linked the 2 experiences together until now!

Welcome to Dreams! / LD without picture
November 14, 2003, 13:54:52
quite often I get that wierd 'lucid dreaming w/out really dreaming' thing...

sometimes I just become lucid w/out dreaming, and start hearing the most incredible music!

other times,I have a conversation w/someone 'inside'of me.higher self maybe.

another time,I become lucid w/out dreaming, then realized I had 'dream arms',and tapped my brow chakra.I saw/heard sparks of blue electricity.then a blob of amoebic light appeared before me,which shifted around like smoke, then formed a tunnel.I went through the tunnel and saw a field of stars at the end of it.I shot myself through the tunnel, and ended up in a lucid dream/astral realm.

good point[:)]
#310
that picture is the most obvious fake I've ever seen.

it looks totally 'set up',like someone said "hey I'm going to make a ghost picture, first I'll take a perfect picture of the fireplace, then I'll take a picture of her posing in a nice position, then I'll blend them together"

Welcome to Astral Chat! / I'm out of here...

I would also like to point out that some people are here on this forum not because they are searching for a level of spirituality that is beyond suffering and fear, etc, but because it gives their ego a hand job-look at all that energy manipulation/dragonballz crap...

...the same could be said for astral projection-some people aren't here as part of an honest quest for a higher way of life, but just so they can exercise (it's embarrasing to type this) "mental powers"

know what I mean?

I think that is why you might come across such stupidity here,of all places.

I can honestly say that I have no idea what you're talking about! I don't know who exactly it was that you were discussing this with, but they must have some serious emtional baggage to to say that they hate entire nations and races of people![:(!]

...and that they are 'proud to post that they are sorry that hitler didn't finish the jews then?![:O]what a horrible thing to say...

I thought that as a species,we had learned our lesson from ww2,when MILLIONS of innocent people were murdered by a madman bent on world domination.

I guess I was wrong.they died for nothing.

haven't they seen the footage of the nazi death camps-piles of bodies, gas chambers, incredible suffering, etc.?!

who were these people, spewing such stupidity?

should we point them out,for all to see?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Astral Police!!
November 05, 2003, 13:57:20
If I ever encounter an astral cop,I'll probably do like xander did,and tear it's f*cking throat out!![:(!].

I have a low tolerance for stupidity,in the physical,or elsewhere...
#314
astral projection has been around at least as far back as the ancient egyptions, most likely even furthur back than that, known an practiced by tribal shamans thousands upon thousands of years ago.

I would suspect that astral projection was discovered when humankind began to question their place in the universe.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / hemi-sync ?
October 16, 2003, 13:15:00
I've got the hemi-sync 'tribal journeys' cd coming in the mail,so we'll see...

Torosdead-it was a minute long?  that doesn't seem long enough for anything to happen,brainwave-wise.maybe you are supposed to put your cd player on repeat,to repeat the track over and over.

It's also important to remember that you probably still have to practice frequently along w/the cd.it isn't just going to make you kinda go "BAM!", and fly off into the universe.you might want to make an effort to stay conciously awake when the cd is trying to put your body to sleep.

and I would bet anyone that if someone who has never meditated before, tried hemi-sync or holo-sync,nothing would happen right away.

I've tried holo-sync's demo cd,and it worked beautifully, but I also have frequent sessions of meditation.

I'll post my experiences w/the tribal journeys cd when I get it...
#316
what is a core image removal?

I've heard of it,but don't know what it is...
#317
my listening tastes tend to be fairly diverse.lets see:

blues: muddy waters,buddy guy,stevie ray vaughan,robert johnson,mel brown...

jazz: john coltrane,miles davis,john mclaughlin,michael brecker,wes montgomery,buddy rich,paquito d'rivera (latin big band jazz),art blakey & the jazz messengers...

classical:bach's brandenburg concertos,organ preludes/fugues.symphonys of beethoven,brahms,dvorak,tchaikovsky,etc.20th century stuff like bartok's concerto for orchestra,music for strings/percussion/celesta...

prog rock: rush,dream theater,tool...

psychadelic rock: jimi hendrix,doors,etc,...

world music: african tribal drumming

lots more stuff, but the list would be too long[:P]

#318
hey[:)]...

for me, such physical activity as walking and hiking, are a vital aspect of my lifestyle.I walk every single day,and I don't own a vehicle,so I kinda HAVE to walk everywhere[:P]! I find that it has positive impact on the mind as well.I know that if I don't get out of the house EVERY SINGLE DAY,for most of the day,I start to feel kinda snakey.

I also practice basic yoga,w/the intention of combining it w/some form of martial art.I want to get stronger, faster and more flexible as I get older-not weaker, slower, more 'rotund' and stiff,as many people do.

and I don't mind saying that w/the relative 'frajility' of my mental health,I can't AFFORD to let my body go.and I'm hoping that one will help reinforce the other (mind/body).

#319
Welcome to Astral Chat! / Who Likes Yoga?!
October 01, 2003, 12:11:24
I have been doing some very basic yoga stretching for the past little while.I'm getting pretty flexible now.[:)]

as far as the different types,I have no idea...

I read a book called 'kundalini yoga for the west'.there weren't any stretches in it at all![:O]I don't think I understand the spiritual aspects of yoga at all...
#320
I would have to say that is isn't anything-it just is.

it's what the person does w/it that counts.just like if you have a great big sharp knife.you can rip someones guts out,or you can chop the vegtables![:P]
#321
ok, I'll continue where I was at last time, then add some furthur comments.

I was going to say to Inguma that I do practice meditation on a fairly regular basis, and I would really like to have a more extensive 'reporatiore' of meditation techniques.I usually just practice 'pinpoint concentration',seeing how focused I can make my awareness.I also use meditation to bring enhanced awareness and a non-reactive state of mind (as much as possible) to daily activities.

the subject of majick is an interesting topic-not that I'm just looking for the 'majical cure', while totally avoiding the problem.please don't take it that way. It's just that I'm open to all avenues of possible help and progress. If you can reccommend a way into this subject via books,or preferably, directly from a teacher, any groups, etc, there may be around, please pass it on.

I also figured out one day, that the way to find self worth in society is to help others-I'm just not sure how to apply it yet.

Ghostrider-I find traditional counselling to be very helpful in my case, and others would probaly say the same thing.but I have to disagree w/the issue of medication.I find that it doesn't blind me to the problem at all,it just covers half the problem area-the physical/chemical reactive side.medication helps to disrupt the ingrained 'superhighway' patterns of fight or flight response to stress-which,in the case of anxiety sufferers, is on full-time-overdrive!  the other half of the problem (the most important part) is the destructive cognative patterns that have been built through the years.no amount of medication can change that, only action can (and that's where I get really stuck).

hey alpine9-it's very nice to hear from someone who understands what it's like-it can be horribly lonely to live w/this problem!

and, being somewhat experienced in the field of astral projection,I also have an expanded idea of how deep these negative emotions can go.They can obviously be carried over/origionate from another part of our conciousness.

I have been wanting to read 'The Power of Now' for awhile, and now the library has a copy,so I'm going to sign it out when I can.

physical exercise is such a great kind of panacea for so many different problems.I don't drive and rarely take the bus,so I walk mostly everywhere (it's a fairly small town of 20 000+).I also go hiking around the foothills when I can.I absolutely love doing that.

comments?

holy crap-this is a long post! sorry![:D]Insert
#322
wow! a lot of responses!

I sort of forgot to check on this thread[:D]

Mustardseed-its very interesting that you reccomend to stop reading castaneda (but it just such interesting stuff[:P]).your approach sounds very much like what I would do if I were to stalk myself.thats exeactly the kind of thing I would do.It just seems like to much of a leap though-like a 'crash coure in brain surgery' (for want of better term).

Passionate-fool -I also love that phrase "this too, shall pass".I first read about that in a book about sufiism.one day a king requested a ring that would make him happy when he was sad, and at the same time, would make him sad when he was happy...
I wonder if I can get one of those somewhere?

Ghostrider-ya, I do plan to get off the meds eventually.I get them for free luckily through a government program.aaahhh...Canadian healthcare[8D]

I agree that holosync would be a great idea, but I'm kinda broke, due to my lacking of full ability to work for the past 2-3 years (duhh, guess why).as far as the nature of the problem,I can say that it is partly chemical/hereditary,and partly experience related.

Inguma-I...whopps,I'm running out of time,I'll finish tomorrow!

Welcome to Magic! / Online Lies - Freemasonry

Radha-that was a very good point about how most people project what is inside them onto others, and see those portions of themselves as being 'out there'.I'll bet you anything that the vast majority of people are absolutely unaware of this happening ALL THE TIME!

it makes you realize that any extreme negative emotion-judgement,hatred,violence,etc-springs from fear, weakness and insecurity.

the truth is the exact opposite of what they percieve-superiority over others.

when you look w/that point of view towards christianity,it's no wonder that it's ripe w/sexual perversion-they see it everywhere: "oh no! electrical  plugs and sockets are highly phallic! evil! evil!"

#324
my favourite thing used to be to shoot myself out of my body like a bullet, and soar out into space in the RTZ.

I seem to have forgotten how to do that...[:(!]
#325
thanks for the great response JoWo[:)]

this answer may surprise you (or not[:P]),but I really understand what you are talking about.I do have some very basic understanding of quantum physics (no math PLEASE[xx(]),and if I were to explore this furthur, and bring this knowledge into the world,I bet I can tell you what would happen.

the GOVERNMENT and the MILITARY would be the first ones knocking at my door[:(!].

ultimatey,my goals are to aspire to a higher level of awareness and knowledge, but the I do find that the wierdness of physics is fascinating.I will probably explore this information furthur (I would like to try channeling),but just for the heck of it.I sure as hell wouldn't publish it.
