two times seven, means two weeks....

twenty seven might really mean 27 days..?

Anyhow he tells you 27 in your dream, from now on 27 in your dreams is associated with him. To jum 27 feet down ... is to jump for him probably... which means "to go down", or if you prefer, the dream where you were about to jump 27 feet down, was a dream that was telling you that you are about to "go down" because of him. A dream that obviously is telling you how dangerous is might be for you to follow him or to follow your feelings for him... 27 is now the sign that your dream has given to him and with this number/sign your dreams are telling you what not to do (do not jump 27 feet down= do not follow this friend or you feeling for him)....

This is my own interpretation and you are welcome to accept it or reject it ... Sure if he told you he loves someone 2500 miles away, you should consider he is not serious about you or just too young and cannot control his feelings.... which is the same actually.

You are turning the volume of the TV in your dream to 28, which is just next to 27. The noise of the TV again might be the noise/headache he is giving you and you turn your TV to 28, not 27, because you want to avoid him (you do not even go below 27, which would mean to pass thru "his" number).

Of course you were running away from the situation in which HE put you, running because of him and almost jump because of him again...

Then you are playing a game, with little rocks, a game that probably HE IS PLAYING with you in that sens that he is not serious about you, it means he is playing with you, there fore the  game has again the sign twenty seven, 27, 2 7 .... which is again the the sign for HIM.

As to 3, it is the smallest number of "legs" needed for a basis to stand up; it is also the smallest number of persons needed to have a society (two are either together are against each other and in psychology a third person is extremely important... etc...); etc...

Good luck with your numbers...

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Knowlege of the future?
September 11, 2003, 10:21:42
There is certainly here a question that is phylosophycal in it aspect and it is how easy it can seem to each of us to change his/her future. This has been depcited by many philosphers/authors such as Kundera "unbearable lightness of the beeing", or even the existentialism of Sartre, or in the novels of Camus or Hemingway. A small act might change our life completely. You go to study in the university and at the last moment you hesitate between (say) philosophy and Math... everything in life is like that actually so that it is sometimes "unbearable" to see how easy it is to chose things, but how heavy the consequence of these "light" decisions are!!! that is exactly the paradox comtemplated by all these authors/philosophers above. And life is even more paradoxal because on one side with do have the Love of the world (be in the sun, on the beach, eat, love, ...) and on the other side life itself can be so difficult (e.g. live thru a war, etc...) so that there too as we live our life we might get "hit on the head" more than once.... now if in addition you noticed that these are the "heavy" consequences of your "light" decision, then you are there!

But there are more events to follow in the world than our selfish lives... be on the look out, there is a bad wind coming from the middle east if I might say.

Take care!

It has happened that I knew when some people would die by either having this intuition or vivid dreams ...

premonitory dreams are still coming now and then about events in the news or in the family...

I cannot tell the future, but I can tell some events that will happen in the future...

I usually have very weird dreams, with corpses, blood, or people with 4 eyes, etc... and some a premonitory signs....of death.

Take care.

Sorry for being so serious.

Hey again Kristina,

It is not a "power", just an ability (that everyone probably has without noticing it) to "see" above the horizon. Call it a gift if you wish. It is true that it can be "power" when it is in the hands of someone if that someone decides to use it as a powerfull tool.

From all my dreams, and these days I remember most of them when I wake up every morning, the most disturbing one was not one where I saw corpses, because as I wrote I was just a "third" person looking down at that and it was not addressed to me. Even in another dream I saw 4 huge identical pieces of meat hanging and I passed them and that still was not addressed to me. Later on in that dream I approached a smaller piece of meat and was about to touch it when someone (old and quite bold) asked me if I was interested in these - I said no! And still that did not disturb me. Where it disturb me was for example a dream recently this week-end where someone was kind of holding me but was behind me and when I finally got to see his face, he had 4 eyes! two normal eyes (like everyone) and then one additional eye on each side of the head! That dream was slightly disturbing me, though it was not a nightmare.

The main question in a dream or in the astral realm is whether what you witness is addressed to you or not, more than whether it looks disgusting...

Have sweet dreams (I mean it!) and know that the power of your will can overcome any fear.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Your Death
September 09, 2003, 08:17:30
you can check real answers of people who were dying and then miraculously came back to life after an NDE.. check it here

http://www.iands.org/

check the message boards and click on the NDE narratives...
This will teach us (and you) what really happens then, not just pretending it is hapening, but it really hapened to them....

The spirit guides are there to help you. Some people the days (an not the minute) before they leave this world, they start to see their deceased relatives already waiting next to them in the hospital room, they see their spririt guides, some see their religious belief higher entity (Christ, Buddha, etc...), they see angels smiling at them,... some are less fortunate and just die agonizing, some scream, some choke to death, some die in their sleep peacfully,.... and then there are these who are on the battle field, seeing death all around them, corpses, mutilated bodies, death is everywhere and they are part of it, they know any moment it can be them, the smell is everywhere, and so is death. There are those who know, those who have dreamed of their death over and over again. They dreamed they fell off a high cliff into the void and die. They dreamed it again, and then the day come when they climb the cliff and just when it is about to happen they know it, they let it happen, they let go, their time has come... How did this young man knew he would never see his sister again when she left, not that he knew she would die, but he knew HE WOULD. He died in an earthquake in 1960, he was my uncle. And a grand father knew a week in advance his day had come, he was not afraid, he was sad to leave his family. And he left us in 1955.

For whoever has to leave this world, have a nice journey! and say hello to them over there from me!

Eyes of Vengeance...

(I do hope you do not have to think about vengeance, really, that would mean that someone has hurt you so badly..., anyhow, here is my reply..).

The vibrations and the floating sensation are surely an OBE. The thing is that once you get there it can all turn into a dream. You can even astral project/OBE and have completely control of everything and go where you wish, etc.. but then it can turn into a dream. Or suddently the world becomes changing around you like in Alice in Wonder land, it just means that the other world (the astral one) is not fixed and can be changed by your thoughts, even without you willing it. So I would say YES, the beginning is an Out Of Body experience, in that sens that you really came out of your body, but what happened after that is less clear and it does not matter anyhow, since any OBE is like that....

What happened while your were awake is another story in itself. You should not fear anything or anyone, go back to your dream world in peace, nothing can hurt you if you believe so. The fear might let you feel you room is different, etc... but it is really not in your room.

#307
If I am not mistaken, it has to do with your level of energy when you project. Your physical body has some energy and your astral one has some too, with most of the energy in the physical usually. When you die all the energy leave the physical one and the OBE that NDEr experience are extremely vivid, precise, in the real time zone. If you project with not much energy in your astral body, then you'll be in the lower astral plane. You might need to work in your shakras to increase your energy level during AP. Also you can check that according to the vibrations it seems. The strongest the vibrations, the higher the energy level you reach during APing to the higher astral plane.

I hope someone will correct me or confirm, since this is only what I remember I have read, not what I have experienced. My experience is more with dreams than with AP.

Hey Kristina,

I do not want to sound you too spooky, but I often have dreams of corpses in blood, body parts, meat, etc... and they are all actual premonitions of terrorist attacks (actually in Israel). These visions of corpses are completely blank from the point of view of feeling - I do not feel any fear when I see that, I just observed and they are so vivid that when I wake up I remember the whole thing. Then I write it down and within a day or two the terrorist attack happens (it is always an attack were many people die). So this might be a premonitory vision. It might be happening in your neighborhood or city, check the news... Do not fear, keep control of the fear and use your mind to decide what to do or even what to see and where to go in the astral and dream world. Even death is only a transition, and I have on occasions dreamed of some relatives before they "left". You should not be afraid. The only dream I would be afraid is if I am given a piece of raw meat in a dream, that would mean that I am to die or maybe a close relative has to... and even then I would see this as a transition. You can also invoke God or whoever you believe in while in the astral if you are in a panic, that should work too.

May the light be with you

Welcome to Astral Chat! / New Fears..
September 08, 2003, 13:21:56
Hey Nay,

we are all evolving and changing with time, one way or another... slowly or rapidly, with or without noticing it... Maybe now you are more conscient of what really can happen in these extreme sitations (racing, boat, roller coaster, etc..), more than before. Maybe you have developed a higher sensitivity for all these. Whatever it is, fear is normal, that is if you control it and do not let it control you. Heart beat and wet hands is a physical fear... if it is really bothering you might want to try to cut on coffee and other things too. You might want to try and drink some herb teas (chamomille, vervain, lemon balm - mellissa,..) it helps to lower your nervous response to "stimulus". There was a time when that helped me. Fear of heights and vertigo do induce fast heart beat and swetting hands and feet, surely as you describe it, it sounds to me more physical and less in your mind, so you still have control over it. I would actually see your fear really as a positive thing, as you becoming more sensitive, more awake of what is going on around you. Just control your fear and do not get into a "panick" mode.

Take care

Rebonjour foret mauve...

Sorry, I just notice I wrote in French... I was asking la foret mauve whether he really gets to the vibs by concentrating on the whistling. I can hear the whistling alone and get it amplified but it does not lead to the vibs. However, when the vibs arrive, the first notice is the whistling that amplifies all by itself...

#311
I guess the most difficult will be how you will teach your dog to AP volontarily and consciously....

But if you do succeed to meet animals on the other side during AP, then ask them what they think about the fact that human eat them (cows, pigs,...) - I am a vegetarian.... Thanks!

Hey Adrian,

Not sure how many follow, but anyhow...

Today there are more than just a few "unifying" theories to englobe the 4 forces of the universe (gravity, weak and strong forces - in the nuclei, and electromagnetic). There are basic differences between electromagnetism and gravity such as: in electromagnetism there are dipoles (+ and - charges) while in gravity there are only monopoles (only mass attracting, no repulsion or anti-mass). One also describes the gravity acting through waves and experiments have shown the exitence of gravitational waves. The gravitational waves have their homologues to the photons in electromagnetism: the gravitons. And there is a zoo of sub-atomic particles interacting through waves (other particles). However, one must understand that no matter what theory we have, these are our 'abstract' ways of interpreting what scientific experimentations reveal. Some more advanced theories that try to generalize all the forces (Grand Unified Theories) are very weird. Some have the need for 10 dimensions... other works with strings... other with vibrations of elementary entities... Before embarking onto a journey into the world of the Grand Unified Theory, I still find it extremely difficult to understand the duality of matter/energy: particles such as the photon, the electron, etc.. can be seen either as waves or as quanta. We are on the macroscopi side and really understand only the classical view of these as quanta (particles) and while we agree on the reality of the quantum world (our computers are based on the tunneling effect in a p-n junction of the 'transistors') none really can picture that world with his/her physical mind. All that to say that there might come some new theories with a concept of Ether, but that really I feel I still have trouble understanding the basic duality of microscopic particles, it is really a paradoxal situation.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / How to Undo the Damage
September 04, 2003, 13:28:16
Thanks for your posting Tisha,

I must admit, however, that in comparison to other site/forums I visit frequently, there are not many problems here... I am not saying there are not any, though I cannot say I saw one... Anyhow, I wanted to say that it looks like a nice site where people are not 'banging' on each other too much. Maybe because the moderators have been able to erase these messages before I read them, or maybe because I got use to see what's going on on other sites where war is raging.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say that so far so good over here on this forum!

Cheers to all [:)]

Dear Rain man,

I once went to the void, the dark place and I did not know what it was. Let me tell you. I was dreaming and in the dream there was a mirror and when I looked in the mirror I realized it was all a dream (this often happens as I cannot see my reflection in the mirror). As soon as I realized that it was not real but just a dream, the dream vanished (puff!) and I was left alone, in the dark, silent place - the void if you want, with only my very own thought. I had no feeling of my body, my limbs, no breathing, no heart beat, I could not sens anything, just my mind! So I decided to wake up from there. I start looking for that feeling of my body, to move my arms, my legs, to turn around in my bed.. BUT I COULD NOT! that's where I became like you. Fear engulf me that I could not reach my physical self again. It lasted only a few seconds, and then I finally woke up. But these few seconds were terrible. I completely understand you. It all happened a long time ago (maybe 15 years ago?), but it was such a 'strong' experience that I never forgot. From my understanding when we sleep (dreaming), or when trying to OBE (and say meditating) our body goes into a 'mode' which is to be disconnect from the world. These are physical terms here (no metaphysical). This is the natural way our body does while we are asleep. From there, from lucid dream, people are able to OBE. I understand that in that void place you can 're-create' the dream world, go back to dreaming, or lucid dreaming, or OBE, you just need to wish so, the power of your will will take you there - your mind will create the dream for you. The problem is that I did not try that, I tried to wake up from deep sleep, and it took a little while to wake up, so that I was left with my consciousness but my body was deep asleep and I did not use my will to go back to the dream, the opposite I denied the dream when I realized what it was. When I woke up I felt like waking up from a nightmare, I needed to drink water and breath fresh outside air.

I haven't been in that place (void) again. I tried to OBE more recently and I succeeded a few times. Othere experiences with lucid dreaming have not been very successfull, rather very unpleasant. In another lucid dream I asked the starry night sky to reveal me the future and for answer I got a fear/anxiety engulfing me. Again as I woke up I felt like from a nightmare - very unpleasant situation. But from the awake state to go into OBE I found it much nicer and pleasant. If this was to happen today (to get into the void) I believe that I would not fear it, I would just wait, or make a wish, ... or try to OBE and what would probably happen is that before I succeed to OBE I would wake up I guess.

I hope this help! Take it easy! Cheers [:)]

Hey drezzie,

everyone has a different way of getting there, but if you already get all the way to the vibrations, then you are not very far anymore. The vibrations should get (at least that how it worked for me) very strong, withing a short time (say of the order of seconds) and they should engulf you completely. In the ears the vibrations sounds more like buzzing, whistling and in the eyes they are more like golden light all around (like millions of golden bees buzzing around your face...). Then when the vibrations R so strong that U don't feel your body anymore, then just (for example) sit up, and it should be your astral body that sits up, not your physical. You should get up in the astral world and leave your budy behind U. So I am not sure how your vibrations R, if they R strong and how U feel. U mentioned 15-20 mins of vibs, that's sounds enormous... so I believe that these R pretty weak ones, am I right [?]

Salut la foret mauve!

The vibrations usually starts in the ears... at least in my case. It all starts as if I hear whistling, buzzing in my ears. It starts exactly as when you have whistling ears (les oreilles qui sifflent). Normally whistling ears can happen if you hear a strong detonation, a strong noise or if you are slapped,.. or just like that. Anyhow, if you want to experience the whistling just slightly slap both ears with the palm of your both hands - do it first very gently and then do it stronger, untill it is strong enough to hear vibrations. Don't do it too strong, 'cause you could damage the inner ear (the tympans). So now you know how my vibrations start. From there is gets everywhere. In the eyes the vibrations appear as light of course, like golden light. Then they engulf me completely, so strong that I do not feel my body anymore. At that moment I get up, and actually get up in the astral and leave my body behind. However, I have been successfull only a few times (!). The first things the vibrations reminded me was the sensation I experienced when I first collapsed (fainted - evanouissement), all some slight vibrations. It is also similar to the sensation you get in your limbs (arms or legs) when by accident (when you are sleeping on them) the blood stops circulating in them. When you move around and the blood flow is back to normal, then you start feeling a sensation of tingling (picotement). This sensation is similar to the vibrations you get there when you try OBEing. And last, I have also experienced a 'click' at the base of my 'brain' just before I 'leave' my body.

Cheers
#317
I had an experience similar in one sens, but different in the other. WHile I was trying to OBE and was getting out of my body, in the astral world my wife was pulling at my arm. So I kept on pulling and it was like rubber band, my arm snapped back to me and I was free to wander around. However, after a little while, instead of returning to my body, the whole thing turned into a dream. It is extremely difficult to differentiate between dream and OBE, as OBE can easily turn into a dream. In an involontary OBE, I was floating from my bed to the living room where I saw my deceased grand mother sitting on the coach. She did not notice me. SO I am not sure that other people can notice us while in the astral world. There might need an additional ingredient for that: we need to wish that this person can see us probably, not sure. It could be that in the astral you borther went to the place where he knew he would find you.. where you slept. Now as he woke up he might have forgotten the whole thing, as we always forget our dreams in the morning, unless we are used to remember them.

Anyhow, that is an interesting OBE. Sure if he was in the astral world he would not have been able to really shake your physical body, so it seems here that there is a mixture  of OBE with dream like vision. It seems to me that your OBE was starting to turn into a dream, or at least was influence by your thoughts (the dream world is subject to changes under the mind... it is not fixed like the physical world).

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / help
September 03, 2003, 13:38:08
Also keep in mind that everyone is different and that for each of us a different technique might work better. So the best is to try all of them and see for yourself.

You might be aware or not of some accidental OBE. For example you might have had dream-like memories when you fainted for example. Or you might have had very strange dreams where you were floating, flying and meeting some deceased people from your family. These and lucid dreams are very close to volontary OBE. So try to remember if you had any such things, that might help you to look for signs of OBE, such as (for example) the 'famous' vibrations, or the 'dark' place, etc...

Good luck

Dobrei diyen Leyla,

AS to the meaning of Leyla, it means "night" in semitic languages, no matter if it is ancien arameean, hebrew, arabic... I am glad to learn that it was originally the goddess of the night.

I have not met any other person who could claim that they could see the deads (except for the one I mentioned in my previous message) and I myself have seen deceased people only in unvolontary OBE and in vivid dreams. It also happens that I dream of people sometimes before they actually die, usually they are people of my family or somehow related to me.

I have adopted the name Shaman here since Shamanism seems to me to explain quite a lot. I especially like the aspect of the Shaman as related to dreams, and to nature, plants, animals, and the night sky; and the modest and respectable view of man with the world: the earth does not belong to us, we belong to it.

Also some of the ancestors on the side of my mother knew well in advance when their time "to go" had come. I believe they were "Shamans" of their kind.

Do skorovo svidania!

Sorry, for the link above, you have to click on

IANDS messages board

then click on

NDE narratives or if you wish on Public Discussions
#321
Dear Curious Girl,

may I suggestion to check the following site:

http://www.iands.org/

and click on the discussion forums, or and the NDE narratives, you will find there many testimonies of people who clinically dies and then there were told "it is not your time" and they were "pushed" back into their physical bodies and came back to life. From that it seems that mostly you die when it is your time, when you have accomplished and/or experienced what you were supposed to on this planet.

This will really answer all your questions, a very nice site indeed.

Cheers

Salam alekh Leyla! (or merhaba!?)

I never said a native american medecin man would call himself Shaman,
Shaman is a general term used by modern language (which origine of the name is from Russian, Da ia znaiu eto) and includes many religious belief systems that are all similar, from south america, north america (medecin men), Celtic, asiato-russian, etc...

see here http://www.deoxy.org/shaover.htm

Now back to your story, I knew a person who would see her (deceased) father like we seee normal people... however she was suffering (or at least was believed by the psychiatrist to be suffering) from a mental ilness, which might have been related to schizophrenia. These things were no fun, and she would be completely certain that she had seen him. So maybe some of the people who addressed you were such without knowing it. That is one (sad) explanation.

Barak Allah Hufik! (ro should I say: gule gule?)
#323
Leyla,

why don't you ignore what these people say to you? if it bothers you?

It is true that some people pretend to be able to see spirits just like that.

However, nothing of all that, not even OBE has been proven to be scientifically correct, in that sens that OBE could just be dream-world and that seeing spirits might just be allucinations. This is more like a belief system, where you belief it or you don't.

Maybe you should listen to one of these guys (just one of them) and see how far she/he goes into the details and see if there is a way to validate his/her story... Can you validate (proof) your OBE to be real?

If one has to be suspicious about the reality of spirits and other methaphysical things, then I am afraid that nothing has been proven to be true scientifically speaking! So that there is doubt everywhere.
#324
What you see in this forum can be seen in many forums where there is a fair "slice" of people from different minds, habits, societies, etc... So it reflects the world maybe more than anything else.

However, I have see worst forums... I was checking a forum on Shamanism and it was frequented by many drug addicts who get high and then tell about their experience as shamans... Shamanism is more of a philosophy not a way of getting high... even if you get allucinations and see "things".

I have also encountered that kind of posts ("high" people) here and also on a site on Near Death Experience (NDE).

In my personnal life and here I have found that you have to be selective and chose your own posting/people, it is up to each of us to chose our way. If on this forum I find one person interesting I will come back and read her/his postings.

And finally it is also up to us (and to you) to make this forum a better place.

It is true that there are so many topics and so many subjects in each topic, and so many replies on each subject that it is difficult to follow and to influence the happening.
#325
Whether you believe in OBE or do not believe in OBE there is the same kind of questions with NDE (near death experience). A recent scientific study has been published in the journal of medecine The Lancet about NDE in the Netherlands. Their main finding is that it is not clear where consciousness takes place. They seem to agree that consciousness can be "outside" the physical body and still have perception of the physical world. We are used to perceive the world through our 5 senses, so while in a dream, or while OBE it is normal that we continue to "interpret" what happens through these 5 senses the same way we did all our life. If you sincerely believe that OBE is just dream and that the theory is not self consistent, then I understand you, but you have either to chose that OBE is not real or that we just don't have an answer for everything. How can we accept the notion of particle AND wave at the same time for the same entities such as the photon, the electron? etc... and these are scientifically proven theories of quantum physics. We cannot decide whether a photon is just a quantum of light (particles) or an electromagnetic wave with probabilities to be found here or there. These are very inconsistent and paradoxal situation for our "brain", eventhough we have been able to create these theories... So here also we might say, that there is a paradoxal situation. It does not mean everything is wrong, but just that WE have limitation in our understanding and representing of the physical world with the laws of physics. HOw about now that the point of consciousness is not a point but rather a wave-like pattern ineracting with all around? and making waves interfering with their own reflection as they bounce off object? How would that work for a theory of consciousness? We are unable to grasp what the physical world really is, how can we do better with consciousness? What if we had quantum effects and junctions in our brain at the neurone connections (synapses)? What would that imply if I know that the electron on that synapse has a probability  of state to be also somewhere else (on the moon for example) and that in quantum physics this has important consequence? For example the probability that an electron can pass through a solid (potential) wall, is analog to the probability that a ping pong ball would "escape" from a safe. For the ping pong ball this probability is so low that it take an infinite time to happen, but for an electron it is high enough that the electron can escape (the tunneling effect) and that is what make the transistor so particular in all the elctronics we are using today. So what if it is the same in our brain with consciousness? We don't agree that a ping pong ball would escape out of a safe, but we agree that our computer works because of that...? First one has to explain me about the real physical world and the about the consciousness and then about their interaction for me to try and understand what is hapening. In the meanwhile I do not see why this paradoxal situation is more pardoxal than the rest of the world. In fact we should put the whole world and ourselves into question first.
