Have you thought of sending him a link to this thread.

Our reactions might be enough to convince him of what happened.

I've got to focus on two different things at once?

Any tips on how I would go about that? My eyes are either going between obects, focusing on neither(just observing the general area), or focusing inbetween the two.

The pine cone on his head is representative of the pineal gland in my opinion.

I know you're skeptical when it comes to the existence of chakras but when you feel the first and second ones above your head the area up to them feels like a cone shape(bigger than that one but I'd still assume thats what it represents).

I'd never even thought about the cone until you mentioned it. I just assumed it was some wierd cultural thing lol.

You might want to try Frank's 'slats' method to get rid of the rooms.

I've seen some wierd thing but havent seen a slug yet.

You can see your physical body from the third person.

If you mean can you view your projected body in the third person then I dont know. I've seen it in a mirror - I suppose that sort of counts.

It introduces you to a new level of reality.

With me it was the first concsious step on my metaphysical path. I rarely try for conscious exits any more but I have a very active dream-life now and still have regular spontaneous projections.

The main thing for me was that it opened my eyes to the wider reality. Half the stuff I do these days would have seemed totaly crazy to me a couple of years ago. My feet are firmly on my path now and I have AP to thank for being the hook that pulled me in.

While I was reading, the words "book" and then "it's in your bookcase" popped into my head. But random things do tend to pop into my head.

Sometimes you just need to lose things and they show up again when the times right.

Tried it last night in bed.

Just lay there with my eyes out of focus staring at the wall observing at all the energy swirling round.

Noticed a slight change in consciousness. Too small to describe. Caught glimpses of a black thing creeping up from the bottom of the bed.

Tried visualising stuff but that broke the altered state of consciousness.

Started thinking about blinking and my eyes drying out too much so I quit.

Maybe I'll try it in a nice steamy bath sometime so I wont need to worry about my eyes drying.

So the rooms are a new thing? You used to just fly through the blackness till you hit a populated area?

Sounds like these rooms could be significant. Have you ever tried hanging around in one to see if anybody turns up? Could they perhaps be doorways to the places where they belong?

but I'm a bit confused about the difference between astral projection and lucid dreaming because some dreams i've had has felt and looked so real that I could almost swear I was standing in a different world!
Hello,
The line between astral projection and lucid dreaming overlaps in my opinion. Some people will say there is no difference and some will say there is a clear difference. No-one here can seem to agree on what to use the words for. You'll have to make your own mind up. You'll find quite a few threads with everyone giving their opinions.

But yeah, I've had dreams that I'd swear somehow felt more real than real life.

Welcome to the pulse :-)

Thanks for the information :)  I recently lost a pet and I've always believed in life after death for humans but never put too much into with animals. I had cece for 14 years and she recently died of cancer I was just hoping that her spirit still lives on. :) I know they say all dogs go to heaven but I don't know for sure. lol Thanks again all.

In Robert Monroe's second book he recounted a conversation with an entity waiting to incarnate as a human. It said it had never been a human before and sounded like it had been a pet in it's previous life.

I would never have thought of phasing with my eyes open.

I'm gonna give it a try because I can visualize a lot better with my eyes open. I find it hard sometimes to picture anything clearly over the blackness.

If you find yourself doing this often I'd suggest pointing a video camera at your face to check if your body blinks while you're LDing. Going too long without blinking isnt good for your eyes.

Seen my dead cat in dreams and LD's bit never in a RTZ projection. Most if the times it was just representing something else but once I think it might actually have been her(the energy felt right).

When I was a boy my dad bought a wart off me. He gave me money for it. Told me it would work. It went away.

I dont know if they normally disapear on their own or not. Maybe I just had to believe it would go away.
#340
Whatever you're doing sounds like it's working. The attidude I've developed on chakra work is do whatever works as much as you can until it starts to have negative effects and then lay off it a bit.

I noticed the same thing myself. And then I noticed I feel the same thing without the crystal(just my finger). I think I'm just too sensitive to prana. Havent tried moving my head towards a crystal thats just sitting on a table yet. Might try later.

A sort of party trick of mine is to put my hands behind my back as far apart as possible with the palms facing each other. I then sort of connect my hands with an energy beam(for want of a better word) and get someone to pass their hand through it. I can feel when they're breaking the energy beam and what direction it's moving in.

On one of the links beside that one I noticed this.

It's video of a guy in SP.

Best of luck with the new job mate. Hope it all goes really well for you.

QuoteIt comes down to this... ANYTHING YOU EXPERIENCE IS REAL.
+1

A movie is a real thing. Unless it's a pretend movie - like if I lied to you and said that I made a film when I didnt.

I'm with Xanth. Explore the rooms.

Rooms generally have a purpose. Are these like bedrooms and lounges and stuff or are they more mysterious? If it's not obvious then try and figure out what they're for. Sit in them for a bit to see if anything happens. Examine the contents and decor for any messages or clues to their purpose.

Do you find the same rooms every time you experience this? If you change something is the change still there when you go back?

Just out of curiosity, are the rooms connected or doorless? Do they have windows at all? Do they seem related or are they totally different?

#346
LD, OBE, Phase - They're just words. Since we cant agree what the words mean, they mean whatever you want them to.

If you think they're the same thing then they are. If you dont then they arent.

But they're all real. Everything is real. My thoughts are real. My visualisations are real. They exist. I might not know where they exist but they exist.
#347
The no thought thing is pretty awesome.

I used to get it when I took acid.

NOTE:I'm not advocating the use of acid. It totally messed up my mind in the end and it's taken me many years to feel like I'm starting to recover.

If you need to take general anesthetics to get to sleep I wouldnt put you in with the most enlightened people on the planet.

I'm not saying he wasnt a very spiritual person or anything but it seems like the guy must still have had some pretty big problems to get over. But it's not like I knew the guy or even watched the videos you mention so what do I know.
#349
Have you tried doing the same thing at the sites of the other chakras?
#350
You might want to try sleeping with crystals. I had a pretty far out experience sleeping with a quartz crystal pointing at my crown chakra. It was a little too instense for me at the time so I havent tried it again yet but I do plan to.

You can get a decent sized quartz point for a couple of pounds.

Herkimer diamonds are meant to have a particularly good effect on dreams but I havent been able to find any yet.
