Welcome Guhan.

I hope we will all benefit from your experience and background and have fruitfull discussions.

Om mani padme um!

From what you say, you tried to roll and your physical body rolled, then it seems that you were still (partially?) in your physical form. Maybe your head came out first (with other parts of your body) but the rest of your body was still in the physical? Keep on trying and experiencing, as we are all learing together and from each other. Good luck.

Thanks for the tips. For everyone there is a different method and I have to try all of them to find what works best for me. Don't worry I don't move a milimeter, untill I feel vibrations like the bass (E) string of an electric guitar.... Cheers.

Hi, the only time I saw a tunnel was when I fainted. It was early in the morning and I had a low blood pressure probably due to dehydration. So I went to the bathroom and then I could not stand any more, I just dropped. And while laying on the cold floor I momentarily lost contact with this world and I saw myself like being at the bottom of a well and looking up to the opening. There at the opening I saw a few silhouettes looking down at me, as to say "are you all right" and I knew some of them were deceased members of my family (for sure I knew one of them was the father of my mother). Then I came back to this world and back to bed. Other OBE I had I never saw the tunnel, but it happened that my vision was so low that I had a field of view very small, as if in a tunnel, but I was in my room, not in front of a tunnel. THese are the only occurences of a tunnel-like vision.

Thanks for sharing your experience. First, nothing can happen to you or your body and none can hurt you. It is said that there are entities that can live on the fear of people, but that's all I heard of. Anyhow, you can light a candle and ask the 'spirit' or entity to leave immediately and leave you alone. You can make a prayer if you like to and ask God or whoever you believe in (if you believe). This should help to have any entitity go away. In the astral world nothing can harm you and the best way to react to a negative entity is with love, with positive feelings rather than fear and anger. Once you reach the vibrations and they engulf you completly, you just need to get off the bed and you will be in the astral world: when in the vibrational state you command your astral body, not your physical one, and you have detached from the physical. And again you might want to think, call out for God, Your guide, Jesus, an Angel, etc... whoever you believe in, with a positive approach. Keep us inform of your progress. Good luck.

Well done corvette! Congradulations for completing the vibrational state. You were one inch from AP/OBE. The thing is to do the transe, to get to the vibrations/buzzing and when the vibrations are completely engulfing you and your body and your mind and you feel you are about to explode, then, THEN, get out of your bed. And to your surprise you will se that you get up in the astral world, the dream world (whatever you wish to call it). Then you can make a reality check and find out you are in the astral world. You might or you might not see your body there in your bed, if you see at all. But don't stay too long in the astral world, after a little while it will turn into a lucid dream and then a dream and then you will just sleep and wake up later. The best is to stay in OBE for a short period of time, less than a minute and then get back into your bed/body and wake up in the
physical world. That's the best for a start.

Good luck.

This was a lucid dream, since it started from a dream , not from the awake state. In the lucid dream there is a mixture of things/entities/situations from the astral plan and from the dream world (you brain/mind). You might start an AP close to the physical world and then this can slightly change and becomes exactly like a dream. There is not much difference between OBE and lucid dream. Therefore, it is not sure if the entities you encounter are astral entites, or just entities (messages) from your dream.

Next time try to stay in the lucid dream/OBE, dont think to come back so quickly, just let go and think positively (no fight!).

You were asking for someone to tell you about his/her method and then eventually you were asked to describe yours. Nice of you to help others.

My method is different only from the point of "attack". The best for me is to start when I wake up early in the morning. Then just after the dream, when I realize that I am waking up, I actually do not move, do not open my eyes and I found myself in the transe state which I try to keep for as long as possible. Then I need to get the to vibrations, which I can get just by waiting for, or induce them by looking for the sensation of free fall in my mind, or by concentrating on a constant whisling that I hear in my ears when the room is quite (not sure everyone ears that). Anyhow, then I get the vibrations/ buzzing/ white light in my eyes, and I am ready to move out of my body. ANy movement then will be of the astral body, leaving the physical one behind me.
that kind of projection is actually pretty fast, since I start from a deep transe state, but most of the time it does not work because that early in the morning I need to visit the bathroom... ! AS to the meditation, I get so weak vibrations and some whisling but not projection (even after half an hour).

As you are in the transe (whether from waking up from a dream or other) and you start hearing the whislling, hissing, buzzing sound, and that this sounds is taking over you body as vibration and that it emplifies so much that it overcome all your feeling, then, THEN, get up from your bed! and you will get out of your body, you will leave your body behind on your bed. At that stage you should be very close to the physical world, but it can easily drift into a dream or your room might suddenly change... etc... THe best is to stay there for a little while and make an effort to be more conscious and more lucid and more clear. Then get back to your body. NExt time try a little more and get back to your body. and so on. I believe that if your body is tired, you might start to go into the dream world. But if your body is just "idle" or unconscious (like in an NDE) then you are the closest to the physical world. Good luck and keep us inform of your progresses.

There are still another kind of beings that you might encounter out there in the astral world and that is a deceased person, though usually their place is somewhere else I understand. But it happened to me and I knew the person was deceased since it was a family member. Though the person did not seem to see me, maybe because I did not focuse on her.

As to scary things, don't worry, in the astral world you should be able to change your appearence, say you might want to look like the HULK if someone is trying to scare you. But LOVE usually does a better effect, it is the best defense against the dark beings.

I use to be able to pass thru windows in dreams when I was a kid. But I have lost this ability, even in lucid dreams I have been unable to pass thru things that are solid in the physical world.

Congradulation, welcome to the club! for a first experience it was a nice one! Keep on doing well.

Basically there is no difference between lucid dream and OBE, just a question of definition. However, a lucid dream begins from a dream and therefore the level of consciousness, clarity, etc.. is lower than during an OBE. One can easily increase that level during a lucid dream by asking loudly "I want to be more couscious, to have more controle, to see more clearly, etc..". From lucid dreams I only succeed to wake up, not to go anywhere else! So you have a good start.

Yes the body attracts you, and once you go to explore the astral world during an OBE, it can easily turn into a dream - so that you are back to the lucid dream state... just the other side of the same coin.

SO lucid dreams is fine, you just need to auto suggest to get to the higher level of OBE from there.

It sounds to me that you were rather in a deep transe, since you were in the "dark" place. Did you feel unconfortable in that transe? Were you kind of feeling almost a little cold ? The fact that you said that you were exhausted means that it was not relaxed/relaxing.

If it is just a start then you should practice the light transe, not the deep one. Just relax and feel that sensation that your body is heavy and sinking into the matress of the bed. Let yourself go to observe your own body (breathing, heartbeat,..). You will know that you are in transe if someone makes a noise you will jump (like when you are surprised by the bark of a big dog for example), but it should feel relaxing and confortable. You can still hear all what is happening around you but you do not pay attention to it, it should not distract you. WHen you are in a deep transe you might well not hear the outside anymore, you might get to that feeling where it is only your mind. You don't feel your body, are in a dark and quite place... that would mean you went too far.

I hope I could help. Good luck .

Precognition happens to me in dreams quite often. It did not happen to me during OBEs, mainly because I do not practice much OBE, eventhough I had a few (including a good one!). It seems that precognition happens often when we are in the world of the astral/OBE/dream/lucid dream, and it is not new, since even in the old testament there are some very good example (Joseph, Daniel, to mention just a few). It seems also that there are different way this precognition happens, either the plain straight way, or through symbolism (then it is more difficult to assess it).

Let me tell you of one of these that happened to me 2 years ago. I went to a meeting in Germany (work-related) and when I entered the bathroom of the meeting place (in a university) I immediately had the feeling that I had been there, and I remembered seeing that place in dreams. The walls had the same color, there were these (very unusual) steps going downward at the entrance, and the same spatial situation of the room and its content. Later that week I had an extremely vivid dream in the night where I was standing in front of what seems to be the facade of a house completely destroyed and many people around. In the dream it was a bomb in Jerusalem. The next morning I checked the news: nothing. In the afternoon I checked again and a bomb had exploded and kill 19 people in a PIzzeria in Jerusalem around noon. I checked the occurence of the bombing then, and it was pretty low at that time, so that it could not have happened by coincidence. I also eventually saw a picture on the web of the scene of the bomb and it looked exactly as in my dream....

So precognition happens and you should be happy that your guide or maybe God has given you the gift to see into the future.

Please, if you do have an old testement, read in Genesis the story  of Joseph (or watch the cartoon movie: Joseph, Kind of dreams...). Or also read about Shamanism, etc...

Keep on posting your premonitions.

Since I believe it is an optical effect and not a shakra and I will have to explain it with technical details, I will answer in french so that neanmoine will understand.

In short it is an effect of optics due to the reflection of the light of the flash in the mirror that you can see through the open door in the other room. Though that light is not seen directly in the picture, it enters the objectif and is refracted and reflected between the different lenses in the objectif to produce an imaged (white spot) much less intense than the original (the flash of the camera).

A lucid dream is a dream in which you know you are dreaming. However you passed from the "awake" state to the dream "state" by loosing conciousness, I mean you fall asleep and then dream and realize you are in a dream.

An OBE is when you pass from the awake state into the dream state without loosing consciousness: I mean you are awake and then as you are falling asleep and dreaming you have complete consciousness of what is happening to you and remember all the details and sensation of what your body/mind felt as you were passing from awake to dream/lucid dream/ astral. What happens often is that you have a control OBE and are getting our of your body, etc.., but then all that turns into a dream and eventually you awake in the morning. That is an OBE, not a lucid dream. Though of course one could claim that they are the same, however OBE means that you keep you conciousness as you get out of your  body.

My astral exits are usually a bit different in that I first pass through the sensation/feeling of vibrations and whisling/buzzing in my ears and entire body. Then I get out of my bed, and actually get out of my physical body. But anyhow, the result is that it happened that I did not see a thing, everything would be quite gray. One of the things that work is to ask for the vision to be clear, just say I want a clear vision - this is the power of your will. Another thing I tried is when my field of vision was tiny, I could only see the area in front of me, the size of the face of a person 10 feet away. So with my astral hands I push away the sides of the opening as if it was trying to enlarge a hole in a soft platic wall to see thru it. Quite amazingly I had a perfect vision when I went into an OBE while falling asleep, that was 25 years ago, and I though I was dreaming I was dying. I saw myself floating out of my body and start hovering in the living room where I saw my deceased grand mother sitting quietly on the sofa... I never had such a great vision since then... only in lucid dreams.
