this happened about a week ago.it was a lucid dream:
I was flying past/through some paintings of landscapes.this could be interpreted as nature being gods work of art.I was calling out for help because I was feeling lost.eventually I landed.an old man came to greet me.guess who it was! he was shorter than I thought he would be...

I also read stuff about how many people w/religious background seem to believe that our bodies will become possessed when inducing AP.this is stupid.our minds,or soul,or whatever you will,NEVER LEAVES THE BODY.conciousness just expands beyond it.this can be seen as a mind-split.

based on Nicks last statement, I would guess it means that religious fundamentalists are going to be in a sorry state of affairs when they cross over...

I haven't read the whole thing yet, but I did see the freedom from religion title at the top[8D].

I once read Dantes Inferno.In one part of hell their was everyone who existed before christianity came along!.you can't be serious.I'm always surprised how childish and stupid religion can be...[:O]

that happened to me once.it was so wierd that it shocked me out of it right away.I saw the lamp hanging of the cieling just like I would if I had my eyes open,only there was something whirling around,like a wierd creature or something.I've even heard of some yogis being able to see w/any part of their body-fingertips,etc...

despite what ANY rediculous websites/christian fundamentalists may say, there is nothing "evil" about astral projection.many christians often wear a mask of "love thy neighbor","peace to all",etc, whatever, and yet, as soon as they encounter something that doesn't fit into their laughably childish belief systems,they automatically label it as "evil".

adding to this, there are an infinite number of cases where christians use the bible as a crutch, and interpret/slant/bias the mataphors to their own means.

it seems that origionally,christianity wasn't like this until the middle ages,when the religion was corrupted by those seeking, and wishing to remain in power.now christianity is mostly based on fear and ignorance.christianity has been stuck in the middle ages ever since.and the article in the website reminds me very much of the witch hunts of the spanish inquisition-the only difference is that in this age,their power has greatly waned.

Comparing the belief systems of christianity and astral projection,which practices would you consider to be more "evil"?

and even now,there are missionarys travelling around the world to spread their poison to cultures who already have ancient religions,most of which are infinitely more peaceful and beautiful than christianity.

I'm a border in a house where the homeowner has an orange cat.once,last year,he (cat) was in my room,then he suddenly JUMPED 2 FEET STRAIGHT UP IN THE AIR for no particular reason,then bolted out of the room.it took months for me to coax him back in[:O].that was just after I had a particularily interesting astral projection...

sounds like a very unique, interesting experience[].I've never heard of anyone doin' it w/a water elemental.maybe you should try other forms of communication w/it! maybe you could eventually be a "water mage" or something![8D]

I also saw the part about the magnetic fields, and the flying round lights[:O]...something strange is DEFINATELY happening.They go back about 300 years, and there have been far too many cases for them all to be fake, as some people believe.

you're not alone.I don't know anything about psionics (sounds interesting though.I'dlike to hear more about it),but I used to be able to project,starting when I was 15.I'm 27 now, and I CAN'T DO IT ANYMORE[!][V].sucks...I really,really miss it...

back before I forgot how to project[!],I used to get many "tube-type" projections.I would travel at incredible rates of speed,passing rings of coloured light.

another time in a lucid dream, a guide named Etukai taught me how to create a tube by gaining speed using gradually larger arcs of flight,then using the increasing downward motion to gain extra speed.this doesn't really seem necessary though, since you just need to intend your speed,and you can go as fast as you want.I haven't had a chance to apply this technique, or even try it again, for the reason stated above...

I had amazing success w/this technique about 12 years ago.It worked for me 12 years ago.I forget exactly what I did, though Franks suggestions sound very good.especially the suggestion about not taking things too literally.I showed monroes technique to my brother after I had great success w/it.he tried to "reach out" for the vibrations using his physical hands[|)]

I wouldn't personally focus on the actual brain region,because it keeps you focused on the physical and it's environment too much.whereas the whole idea of the technique is to focus away from it.but if it works for you,hey,don't mess w/it.you can't argue w/ success...

seeing this technique now,after having some experience behind me,it seems that this technique teaches us to "tune into" the astral,using the mind as a gate, after "tuning out" (deeply relaxing) the physical environment.

Although now,after more than a decade[:O], I'll have to practice this again,cause I forgot how to do it!!!

about 10 years ago I had a dream in which saturn came REALLY close to earth.so close that the rings were in earths atmosphere.I know it was ten years ago,but it's very similar,and considering it's 2000 year orbit,the dream was still very timely.

I think it might have been something like "she is the nagual" or "he is the nagual" or maybe "I'm the nagual".

the night before, I saw a tv show about a group of people investigating a haunted mine in mexico.the locals say the "nagual" (I think it's pronounced na-WAH-hl,meaning the unknown/unknowable-beyond human comprehension).the locals who live near the mine are very afraid of the place.there was also a mining accident in which many miners were killed.

being a huge fan of author Carlos Castaneda,I found this very interesting.there was $5000 waiting for each member of the group if they could stay 2 nights in the mine,doing various rituals (involving various bloody organs,etc)in order to break spells of protection and draw in the nagual.1 by 1,each member of the group quit until there was no one left.they couldn't handle it,saying there was something very powerful in there that surrounded them and was basically saying it didn't want them there.they all flipped out and quit 1 by 1.this saturday is part 2, with a new group in the same place.this saturady is part 2,with a new group.should be interesting[:O][8D]

seems like a good recipe for wierd "semi-sleep-paralysis" experiences!could it be a part of my subconcious trying to get me to tune into the nagual in and around us? to get me to acknowledge it's presence?

one thing that struck me was that, yes, there is a lot of stuff that is really strange going on,which Castaneda claimed was all real (debatable),but there is also tons of stuff which,if in fact was made up by the author, is absolutely brilliant writing.all the philosophical truths the books contain which are impossible to debunk-the stuff about losing self importance;the world conforming to subjective perception;death as an ally; tonal (our lives,and the sum of human awareness)vs. nagual (the unknowable/infinite).that is only the tip of the iceberg...

I think you are right about that[]there are also many other things you can learn to do while lucid, such as leave the dream and travel to astral planes,change dreams,ask guides (seen or unseen) for advice about anything,etc...
