deleting his posts? Did I miss something over the weekend?

I see a lot people, especially those new to this, asking the question, "Was this real?". I can understand where they are coming from, but from where I stand it does not make a lot of sense to me. So I ask you, What is real?

I was looking in the Planned Books & Works In Progress section on the main page and noticed that it does not look like it has been updated in a long time. The latest dates given are 2001. Adrian said in another post that a new book is planned to be released soon, but nothing is mentioned on that page. Is there nothing to really put on there, or does whoever is in charge of that page not care any more? Whatever happened to Robert's Kundalini book that was mentioned?

I have decided to start training to see auras. I am wondering if you can use color on a computer screen to train to see the auras of colors. Like have a big blue dot on a white background on the computer screen. This would make it much easier to practice at work if it will work. Anyone know?

I know there is a Suggested Reading section but I feel the need to post this here because I am not sure how many people, especially new people to the forums, look at it or know of its existance. I feel this should be brought up here.

I have had the book Astral Dynamics for awhile now but just recently got around to actually reading most of it. What I want to say is, I STRONGLY suggest to anyone who is interested in AP/OBEs to read this book. I see many people coming to the forum asking where they should start. This book is the place to start. This book is so easy to read, unlike some that over complicate things or are too technical. Anyone can pick up this book and enjoy reading it reguardless of their knowledge. Granted that most of the information in the book can be found on this forum, but the book makes things much easier to someone that is new, or even experienced. Instead of searching for posts and asking questions and then waiting for answers it is all right there, easy to read and understand, and it covers more than you will probably find on the forums. Not only can it be read straight through but it clearly will make a great reference book for future use. Any amount of money you will pay for this book, which is usually between $13 - $25, is much less than it is really worth.

I just wanted to bring this up for all the new people who are looking for a place to start. Of coarse I am always willing to answer any questions if I can, no matter how basic.

I have a little bit of a dilemma. I have a daughter who turned 1 this past November. Before I ever had a child the question was on my mind whether I should tell any child I would one day have that there is or is not a Santa Claus. Over time it became rather clear to me that lieing is lieing. By me telling my child that Santa Clause does exist, in a physical aspect anyway, I would be deceiving and lieing to someone that I am suppose to guide, teach, and bring up in this life. How can I deceive another who trusts me when I myself am on a quest for truth? Now the real problem arises. If it were just me and my daughter the path would be clear. But it is not just me and my daughter. My parents and my daughters mother are pretty big into Christmas and Santa Claus. I mentioned this to the mother one time and it kind of upset her. She then told my parents and they said something about the fun and magic of Christmas that comes with believing in Santa Clause. Now I do not hold anything against my parents for making me believe that Santa really existed. I guess it was fun believing for a little while, but that is not want I enjoyed about Christmas. Even at a young age I enjoyed the togetherness of family and friends and the ideas of peace and love and the celebration of these things. Mr Claus really had/has little to do with Christmas to me. To please everyone I thought I could tell her that Santa is not real like we are, but more like a representation of these ideas. I am not sure a child could understand this though. Atleast I do not have to worry about it this year, but would like to hear others thoughts.

I am wondering if anyone is knowledgable about what certain animals represent in dreams. I had a dream involving a dog or a wolf and a rabbit. I am not one to usually analyze every dream, but in the past I had a few dreams about cats over a period of time. This was odd to me because I have never dreamed about cats before. Someone mentions what cats are suppose to represent and it turned out to be true. So I was  just curious about this dog/wolf and rabbit. Again rabbits are not something I dream about and I do not recall any dogs or wolves before either. So if anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.

I just thought I would share the following with everyone since there have been several posts about books and suggested reading. I am not sure about posting this, but everyone here seems to be pretty helpful and I think there are a few here that can give me a little info. For the past few weeks while at my current house every now and then out of the corner of my eye I will catch a glimse of something. Something because I have never really seen it. Usually I will be turning around and it is like something is running off and I just see it for a split second out of the corner of my eye. All I have seen is something black, like a shadow. I have been dismissing this as just my imagination. But after last night I am wondering. Last night I laid down to go go sleep and soon after I heard someone in the hall. I rolled over and looked and saw a dark figure walk by the door. Now let me say that I have terrible eye sight, plus the hall was dark. A little light filters in to be able to see some things, but no details. So all I saw was a dark figure that was blurry, along with all the usual blurry things I see without my glasses. I figured it was the person I am living with. But I never heard them go anywhere after that. I figured maybe they are going to the bathroom or to get a drink of water. But I never heard anything in the bathroom, which is right across the hall, or any water or anything going on in the kitchen. When asked they said that they only got up at about 4am for a minute. This took place around midnight, unless I was just really tired and lost track of time. I am not jumping to conclusions on this. I would just like a little input if anyone would like to comment on this. Thanks.

Since there was a post about John Edward I thought we might as well discuss this as well. I saw a show on tv last night called Pet Psychic on the Animal Planet channel. This woman says she can communicate with animals telepathicly. I have never heard of anyone being able to do this, other than in fictional works. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Is anyone on here able to do this? On the one hand, if people can communicate with other people telepathicly why not animals? On the other hand, would you really be able to understand an animal's thoughts if you could read their mind? I am curious what others think.

I do not know a lot about this, they seem to not be covering this much in the US but I caught a little on the radio yesterday. They are apparently creating an International Crimes Court to prosecute people who commit international crimes. I do not know who all the nations are that are in this, I assume it is all of the UN nations. But the US refuses to sign this. Now I do not know all the laws for this but the impression  I get is that the US holds everyone to a certain standard, trying to influence them into a certain mold. But the US is apparently above everyone else. By not trying to work something out and go with this it seems that the US is saying that it is too good to be judged by other nations.

In some kind of retaliation for going ahead with this the US is not going to continue with the Bosnia Peace Mission. This seems very selfish, abanding something that seems to be very helpful to people just because the other nations are trying to do something without the US. Is it just me or does this seem very childish? Like the child that has all the toys and when something does not go his way he gets all his toys and goes home.

I recently read a book I found worthwhile. It is called The Secret To The Soul by William Buhlman. Has anyone else read this? If so what are your thoughts. If not I would suggest reading it some time.

I have read many posts on this message board about people mentioning their past lives or about this time around. Many seem to believe that they have lived before. I am just wondering how you came to this conclusion and why you believe in past lives. Also has anyone remembered past lives?

My opinion on past lives and reincarnation is still in limbo. I do not really know enough about the subject or have enough experience to make a decision. Of coarse if I did have an opinion I would not want to force it on anyone else, to each his/her own.

The following has been happen for several nights now, probably about a week or a little more.

I have been waking up during the middle of the night and will see images of faces. I can see them in the darkness, usually with my eyes closed. It is hard to describe exactly what I see as it is not like looking at a picture. It is kind of like they come out of the darkness and slowly light up. The details are hard to see because of the dimness but if I concentrate on them they become lighter and I can see more details. I will usually wake up and see these images before I open my eyes. I will open them, sort of pushing them away with my mind while doing so. I can then close my eyes again and either bring them more into light or push them away. Because when I wake up like this I am not totally with it exactly, kind of confused from waking up at a weird hour. This makes me feel kind of afraid to explore these images, because of my confused state and just wanting to go back to sleep. I feel sort of stupid now for not exploring them but as stated at the time it is not something I am usually interested in doing. Something that I find odd is that it has been happening almost every night for the past few nights.
Any thoughts on this? I am just dreaming, though I am physically awake,or do you think this might be something?

I have heard that the music Industry is going to start putting out CDs that have some kind of copywrite protection on them that is suppose to prevent them from being copied. The radio said that these are already used in Europe. (I am in the US)  I am wondering if anyone knows if these CDs are labeled in some way to let the consumer know if the CD has this protection on it. I would like to know because these CDs do not work in all CD players, and are not suppose to work in computers at all. I personally do not plan on paying $15 plus dollars on something that I cannot even listen to.

I do not know how these CDs are suppose to work, but it seems to me that all I need is a CD player that has an audio output and I can make copies. So how exactly is this suppose to stop piracy? Anyone that makes a living making pirated music will find away around anything that the industry can throw at them. This just seems to be something that will upset the customers that purchase their music legally.

I checked Amazon.com again today and this time they had a used book available for a much more reasonable price. Thank you for the links anyway. I may well use them sometime. And if anyone else knows of any good sites feel free to share. They might be helpful in the future.

The author is Brian Lumley and I was looking for the 4th book in his Dreamlands series (fictional by the way). His books are usually classified as Horror, but he blends Sci-Fi and Fantasy into them very well too. He has won several awards. Unfortunately almost no one here in the US has heard of him.

I do not think that religion and spirituality are the same. They can be intertwined or totally separate. For me religion was a stepping stone into spirituality, but religion is no longer part of my spirituality. You could say that I am agnostic as far as dieties go, for I just don't know about that aspect. But I do think there is something beyond the physical existence.

Physically speaking immortality is impractical. I would say impossible but hey who knows. The cycle of life and death is the way of things here. The system is set up that way here. All things come into "life" and then pass from it into another form. If humans could become immortal then can you truly imagine the over population problems we would have? As if things are not heading that way now with the extended life spands we now have in addition to population growth. Then you have to take into account that not only do humans, plants, and animals die, but also planets. Eventually Earth will pass away to. Instead of striving to live forever I feel that humans would do better to embrace the cycles of life.

Kind of weird, as I was writing this they started talking about this on the radio.

Well it is a free 30 day trial so it probably could not hurt to check it out. Ouch! that is a bit pricy, though still cheaper than surgery. Before paying that I would suggest picking up the book I suggested above for $8 - $12. I think I got it for $8 at a local bookstore, no more than $10. Practicing the methods in it I have been able to see things I never thought possible without glasses or contacts. And that is just casually practicing them.

I think it's the practice of focusing near or far on objects and depending on your state of mind you can eventually 'fix' your eyesight, with practice ofcourse.

Yes this does help. There are similar practices in the book. They are not actual Magic Eye but they make you use your eyes in the same way. Magic may be a bit more fun and entertaining.

I have noticed this too, Inguma. I am not sure why it does it but I don't think it has to do with just old posts. I have not really paid much attention to it lately because of this.

I don't really think it is possible to do such things until you have control over yourself. How does one expect to control the energies of the universe when they cannot even control their own thoughts and emotions? Such paths start within, otherwise the person will really not get very far.
