Could mean you're coming up to a crossroads. Like you'll have a choice of two different paths of illumination.

Just a thought.

The easiest way to silence your thoughts is to listen intently.

Like when you think you've heard a noise but you're not sure what and you kind of turn your head at an angle and listen really hard. Do it now. You'll notice your mind go silent.

If you do it regularly throughout the day you'll get better at it. Try and notice as many background sounds as you can. Dont name them in your mind, just notice them.

When you get up in the middle of the night to make an attempt you need to distract your mind so you can get in the right state. Try focusing on any ringing or hissing in your ears. Just like the sound noticing excercise, try and listen really hard for any quieter sounds underneath.

For those times when your mind just refuses to shut up you can make it work for you instead of against you. Repeat some mantra in your head that will help you get in the right state. "Body asleep" works well enough. Combining it with breathing can be quite powerfull. Imagine that you're imbuing the air around you with energy that will put your body to sleep. With the in breath think the word "body" and the out breath "asleep". With the in breath feel the energy pooling in your throat area and on the out breath feel it spread down throughout your whole body putting it to sleep.

Once you notice that your breathing has changed to a snorey sound it's safe to start noticing what you're seeing. Hypnagogics wont be far off.

Pray for help. Dont specify what help. Just help.

I will pray for you also.

I dont get it.

Whats arrogant about wanting to help polar bears?

Random as far as I know.

Take it as a sign of progress. After a while you'll stop waking up when you realise you're not in the physical.

^This.  Except I'd say collective instead of independent.
^Better choice of word.

That made me think of an analogy.

Think of LD's as your own personal blog and the astral as wikipedia.

Without your input the blog would be empty. Wikipedia is a collective environment that is "independant" in the respect that it would exist without your personal input but isnt really independant as without anyone's input it would be empty.

Sounds pretty awesome.

Blis - you have me confused. I recently posted a question about what the diff was between AP, LD, OOBE and phasing. The answers I got were that an AP was something that was experienced away from your home, local area. A LD was a dream in which you were fully conscious and that an OOBE was something you had in your bedroom/home etc. Now based on Blidge's experience in the market I would describe it as an AP (based on the explanations I was given). Now I know diff people will have diff opinion's but it all confuses me the more I read.

Anyone help??? Please???

I normally use the term obe for rtz projections although they can all be described as out of body or non-physical experiences.

Assuming I've not got all this backwards, a projection to the real time zone would be descibed as an etheric projection. The rtz is like a nonphysical reflection of the physical and things are generally the same there as they are here. It might not even be a reflection but just plain old here and the only non-physical part would be your projected self.

The difference between a LD and an astral projection is that a lucid dream is a reality created by an aspect of your self. The environment could be created by your higher self, your subconscious, your conscious ego or any combination of the different parts of you self and mind. Generally you wont get any real people in a LD unless they visit you which I dont know if they can.

An astral projection is like a LD except it's in an independant astral environment. You get real people there and the energies of the place feel different to a LD. The places you visit arent genrally created by you although you can consiously make your own realm if you want(like astral pulse island) that other people can visit. There are loads of different focus levels where all sorts of different stuff is possible.

I've only had a handfull of fully astral projections. I think that you(or at least I) get restricted to LD's most of the time until you gain enough control of your thoughts, physical instincts, desires, etc, as these can affect other people in the astral. I read something similar by frank. He called it the proving ground I think. Basically your higher self uses lucid dreams as a means of testing and training you to be responsible in the astral. I know of no such restrictions to the rtz.

Phasing is just a term for moving directly from physical to non-physical consciousness without popping out into the RTZ first. It could be into a LD(WILD), astral projection or any number of different states of consciousness. The hemi-sinc gateway experience teaches you to phase into specific states of consiousness(or focus level).

All these definitions of terms is just what I've taken them to mean from reading lots of different stuff. You see people using the same words for different things. I'm no expert in these things. I've been projecting one way or another for about 18 months and I feel like I'm still basically a novice

You can try and combine 1st person and 3rd person. It's bloody difficult(for me anyway).

Like I'll visualize(in 1st person) getting up and walking around the house. Thats easy enough. But if on that walk around my house I try and walk back into the room my body is actually in and see myself, it usually all falls apart. Even turning in the direction of my body when there are walls in the way is difficult. It's feels like when you push two magnets together that dont want to be.

When I was starting out I used to set my watch to beep on the hour to remind me.

Nowadays I only occasionally do reality checks when I'm not sure if I'm really in the physical.

lol, what people would think if they knew I was trying to fly when i spring up onto my toes.
#436
You dont listen. lol I love the way our higher selves make points.

That's what I think dreams are. Our higher selves interacting with us to help us work out our issues.

It sounds like a LD to me.

If the govt knows about astral planes you can bet they have astral projectors working for them.  They have admitted they had a 'remote viewing' program, so they probably have an AP program as well

Now that's what you call a job! Imagine getting paid to project.

Maybe the place belongs to just one person and he was hiding from you.

Maybe there used to be some people there but they abandoned the place when they realised they could leave. (Maybe you used to be one of those people)

Maybe the place was created by your higher self just so you could go there and wonder why it was empty.

Maybe there are loads of people there but being very religious they were all at church because it was sunday.

Havent tried astral meditation before. Done it in the void but thats all. Will give it a go.

Getting up early is the only way I can reliably project aswell. I rarely try in the evening or during the day anymore.

Sounds like a book I'd like. Thanks for the review.

A conversation about work leading to talking about a trip sounds like a pretty common occurence to me.

How do they work? They make vague predictions that are easy to match to many peoples lives. You remember the hits and forget the misses because you want to believe.

If you read them in the morning before going about your day they may actually be influencing your actions. If you read a horoscope that says 'you will do that thing you've been putting off', and then you do it, you've basically just done as you've been told told.

Having said that though, I do kind of believe in the concept of astrology. Just not horoscopes. The positioning of the universe and its energies must have an effect on us.

If you want to hear more such music you can meditate on your non-physical hearing.

Focus on the ringing noise in your ears and listen for more subtle sounds underneath the main ringing.  There are so many non-physical sounds there to be found. I reckon they're all there all the time but we just dont notice them. Different sounds can lead to different types of experiece. When you find a new one concentrate on it for a good while and see where it leads.

One that I've found that often leads to music for me is a very quiet sort of electricity-like sound that spacially seems to come from just below my ear holes on the inside. You can find different sounds by listening to different parts of your head and body, you just sort of point your sound awareness at it.

A lot of sounds you can only find in one ear as well. There's a sound I can only find in my left ear for example that I can use to project. It sounds like the noise you get when you put a sea-shell up to your ear.

So I ended up in a dimly lit room with an oriental looking woman and someone else I cant remember. There was a low table with a cuboid shaped thing on it. The thing was maybe 6 inch square and 3 inches high and it had a stranged curved symbol-like protusion kind of embossed on the top.

I could feel serious energy coming from it and when I put my hand close I could feel it even stronger. I asked the woman what it was and she told me it was a chakra. She told me the name of it but I couldnt understand her. It was 'something' chakra. Her accent was weird though and even the word chakra sounded funny.

I started telling her about my chakras and the different things I've been doing with them.I hadnt been speaking for very long before she sort of waved dismissivly and said 'yes, yes I know. I read your application form'(Dunno what that meant).

During the time that I was talking she started rubbing the pit of my throat with her thumb or finger in a way that was quite uncomfortable. It felt like she was doing it to help me though so I let her continue.

When I was telling her about how it was NEW that first got me started with energy she said "oh you would like Alexander Tuffi then.)

Well I havent been able to find anyone on amazon with that name but I've havent tried different spellings of tuffi or similar names yet. Her accent was strange so I'm not too hopeful and for all I know he might not even be someone from this reality.

The chakra thing is whats got me wondering the most though. Does a box-like thing called a chakra make sense to anyone?

Oh, and I've been working with a cd of a woman(christine day) who claims to be channeling pleiadian energies. Has anyone here got experience with the Pleiadians? I was wondering if this oriental looking woman could be one. Mainly because of the 'application form' comment. I've blanked out on numerous occasions when listening to the CD's and suppose I could have done something akin to filling in a request form when in that state.

For me the hardest part of traditional obe-ing has always been getting in a good trance. I struggle with the motion based methods.

I asked my dreams for a method that would work for me and was given this. Was wondering if someone could give it a go and see if it works for them too or if it's just me.

Do whatever you do to deeply relax and then hold your attention on the top back of your head where you hair swirls round. I've got a little bump there, I dont know if thats normal. Sometimes I'll do little NEW style stirring motions on it to get started. Thats all I do, hold my attention there. Works like a charm for me.

I'm curious if theres something special with that point on the head or if it's just me.

Quotenicotine reduces stress, relaxes and calms you
Lol you sound like a tobacco ad from the 50's.

It only relaxes you if you're addicted to it and craving some. To the rest of us it's a stimulant. Quitting smoking tobacco is the best thing I ever did after quitting weed.

In saying that though, if you do smoke, when you get up in the middle of the night to project, having a smoke could help. They say nicotine patches can help with lucidity in dreams.

I call them my predator arms because they look like the predator with his cloaking device on. I only seem to see them at the the start of spontaneous prejections when I wake up in sp.

I saw a cool picture once that someone drew of their arm like that. I thought it was by summerlander but I cant find it again.

On the subject of naturally producing DMT, I've read that extended periods of a total lack of light makes your brain churn out huge levels of DMT. I think it's got to be at least three or four days.

I read about a retreat called the darkness or the dark room or something where you go for a couple of weeks without any light. They explained what goes on with your brain chemistry but I forgot it all.

I voted precog. You predicted it before you even had the dream so it suggests you're pretty tuned into that side of things even in the waking state.

Another possibility. Maybe you unwittingly manifested the event. You talked about it, it was on your mind. You subconsciously carried these thoughts into your dream state where you ceated an astral/etheric/akashic/(whatever) version of events which were strong enough to manifest in the physical.

Why must "I Be"..?

Man that's the deepest question I've heard in ages.

To even approach answering it I suppose one would first have to realise what "I" is and what it is to be.
