Violence is against my religious/spiritual beliefs. Do I still have to serve if I tell them flat out I will die before I kill another person, especially over politics and money?

Milla Jovovich is pretty nice too. [:)] You should check out the Resident Evil movies. She is looking pretty good in those, in my opinion.

Vision is a learned skill. Some people learn to see wrong, or rather in ways that our eyes are not exactly made to work. The good news is that you can relearn to see and improve your focus so that your eye sight will improve.

Check out Improve your Vision Without Glasses Or Contacts for some good information. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0684814382/qid=1096279526/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/102-0349071-6744145?v=glance&s=books&n=507846

I have seen some very nice results using the methods in this book.

The book does say that failing eye sight with age is just part of life basicly, but by practicing good eye health and exercises you can slow the process.

I have heard San Francisco called many thing, none of which were the best city in America. [:)] It is a very libral city though, from what I have heard.

Now I have something new to try when I get home. [:)]

I have had no experience which leads me to conclude either way. To me it is irrelevant. What does it matter if we reincarnate here or not? What will be will be. The only thing that is certain is my existence right now, so it seems more constructive to concentrate on now than to worry about the future. What does worrying accomplish? Stop worrying about the destination and enjoy the journey.

Granted Meg Ryan is rather beautiful, but sexy? And how could you leave Angelina Jolie off the list? Angelina Jolie is the definition of sexy.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Pessimism and Negitivity
September 21, 2004, 05:28:01
There are certain areas on these forums I do not go to because of the negativity or I just flat out do not agree with some of the ideas there. If you don't like it, don't go and look at/read it.

But the moth may care less about seeing and knowing the whole flame. It may simple care about being in the presence of the flame and enjoying it. In that we may well learn something.

Welcome to Book Reviews! / The Power of Now
September 16, 2004, 04:54:53
I don't think the point of his book is about time traveling but being mindful of the now and not worrying about the past or future. Too much of our energy is spent thinking about the past or possible futures when all action and life is taking place right here right now. Now is where we should be concentrating on for it is where we really are. The past and future are merely illusion produced by our out of control thinking. When you stop to smell the roses, are you really experiecing the moment or are you thinking about experiencing it?

Manipulation tactics? heh thats quite hilarious.

I did not mean to imply that the group the original poster is dealing with is using manipulation or is being decietful. I just wanted to stress that the poster be aware of such tatics so that he/she can see if they are being used to manipulate them so they can make an aware decision. The news is filled with people manipulating others, so it is hardly hilarious for one to question the motives of another. If they are truly sincere I would think that they would understand one's concern and not be offended. I am not judging this group for I do not know them.

question, have you ever been in one of these so called "hermetic" secretive groups?

No, my spiritual/metaphysical journey has been mostly solitary and I have never been involved in any organized groups. That is just not part of my path, atleast at this time. That is not to say that such groups are not helpful or have anything to offer but we are all different and are to learn in different ways.

There are the vampire bats which do feed on blood, usually live stock and not humans. There are leeches who feed on blood. Then you have several insects, such as tics, who feed on blood. But there are no humans who feed on blood and live forever. Though only a fool claims to know anything for certain so ... [;)]

What do you consider a real vampire?
#439
If the truth shall set you free then why must you chain yourself to secrecy in order to be free? I know what I would do, but I am not you. It is your choice. You know what is best for you. Do what you want but be aware of manipulation tactics, which are pretty classic, so you are sure it is your choice.

We also need to define what evil means as I am finding this concept difficult to grasp. It seems rather relative.

So.. in the metaphysical world (astral world) opposits dont attract. Once i belived firmly that soulmates exist but by now (perhaps there is a little pessimism on me) i cant belive anymore on soulmates, since i had the first experiences about astral projection. Think of the fact that when you are in the astral world you have no bounderies, so why should you have in terms of love? I think love as being an universal property.. Universal Love

Well said. [:)]

It is common when people start energy work to notice activity in their hands and feet first and formost. They are major energy ports between you and your enviroment, so it makes sense that you sense them as active all the time.

The main thing to strive for is balance. Just keep working on your whole energy body and all your chakras and they will develop and balance out. You might want to give a little more attention to those that are not as active, but not to the point of excluding the others.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Talamasca
September 15, 2004, 05:36:48
I don't know anything about a real organization of the Talamasca. I think authors borrow such things from each other to give them a sense of being real and having more depth. One of my favorite fictional authors, Brian Lumley, uses Lovecraft mythos in many of his books. That hardly makes it real, but it does make the mythos seem more grand and adds to it overall.

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Soulmates!!
September 09, 2004, 04:47:43
Personally I think that soulmates, or maybe it is the ideas associated with that word, are overrated. It is great to have a higher connection with other people, but people that are different than you are can teach you a lot. Getting hung up on the label of soulmate to the point of exclusion of appreciating other people is not a good thing.

My gf had the problem of being unable to access her bank online using Mozilla - it told her "Only IE browsers can correctly access this site" or some such.

Which was utter garbage, they'd just deliberately shut out everybody not using the latest IE. Downloaded the Mozilla plugin that allows her to pretend she was using IE, and it works absolutely fine.

Which plugin is that? I need to get that.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Some PC questions

Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox web browsers are much better than IE. After having used them I dread the thought of using IE again, which I have to use at work. Most pages work fine with Mozilla. A few pages will show up weird, like here, but are still entirely functional. A small number of pages will not work so you don't want to uninstall IE. I have only found one site that does not work, which is for my online banking of all things. [:(]

Check out Mozilla and see what you think. //www.mozilla.org It can't hurt to give it a try.

In my studies I have always read that the chakras while felt most strongly along the front of the body are not just there but also extend back and are connected to the spine. The third eye or 6th chakra is connected close to or on the pineal glad. If this is true it still does not make them the same but it does link them.
