A couple of good nights sleep should get you started.  

You need to organize your life properly if you want a peaceful OBE experience.  (It sounds as though, right now you have more important things to take care of).  

Take a break, but only in the sense that you're rearranging your life so that it is more peaceful. Don't just flounder:  DO SOMETHING about your life in the here-and-now!

Nay,  I hate amusement park rides.  Just HATE them.  I am soooo sensitive to movement.  Even the kiddie rides make me want to puke.  I have no shame about this.  Who says we have to like them?

Wow, that was misleading, Mr. Toth.  It is clear that the "mind control" people are just as likely to be from Europe/Russia/China/etc. as they are to be from the USA.  

If you insist on being a conspiracy theorist, at least admit that THEY are everywhere.

I've had some cross-over experiences that were pretty terrifying.  In the beginning, I was dragged, kicking and screaming (so to speak) into the Astral.  Then one day I just relaxed.  I figured, it's been going on this long and nothing bad has happened . . . I always come out ok . . . there's nothing I can do about it anyway.  And then WHOOP! I was out.

Tao, I've never felt temperature on the Astral.  That doesn't mean YOU won't when you get there, however!

In my life I've had many "otherworldly" experiences that are difficult to categorize.  Sometimes, the world of dreams/astral and the world of the ordinary just overlap!

Krazykitty, I don't know!  But I think it's just an association thing.  You associate the daytime parts of your home with the ordinary and the safe.  Nighttime-bedtime is for the mysterious and the unknown.

If projecting in the livingroom works better for you, go for it!

Since I've not tried "rope" yet I can't claim expertise.  However, congrats on a successful card experience!  Keep it up, it takes lots of practice (and a lot of botched attempts) to get the hang of it.

ISTANBUL (Reuters) - Turkey's religious leaders urged Muslims on Friday to refrain from using foul language when supporting their teams at soccer stadiums.
Imams nationwide called on the devout instead to use phrases like "Maasallah" ("May Allah preserve you") and "Barek Allah" ("Blessed Allah") to cheer on their favorite clubs, the private NTV television station said.

Turkey's passion for soccer has been marred by outbreaks of violence, and police search fans entering stadiums to seize weapons ranging from pocket change to kebab cleavers.

In August, one man was killed and 50 wounded when supporters clashed during a local derby in the western city of Izmir.

"It's certainly nice for fans and spectators at sporting matches to express their excitement, but it needs to be done in a legitimate way. Applause and praising Allah are suitable," NTV quoted Istanbul's top cleric Bayram Erdogan as saying.

He was speaking ahead of the Friday sermon, which contained the call for moderate language.

In Turkey the weekly sermon is drawn up by the Department of Religious Affairs and delivered at tens of thousands of mosques around the country.

Keegan, you can't, at least not now.   There is no easy formula, and I can tell you are looking for easy.

Hypnosis is a skill that takes both talent and a lot of practice.  The best you can hope for now is to get the book Aizathoth000thered suggested, read it from cover to cover, and THEN, after reading it, decide if this path is for you.

Hypnotizing a person to "make" them do something is a sure way to ruin your life.  What goes around, comes around.

hey, has anyone seen the japanese "anime" (?) Totoro?  I loved it.

The most seasoned OBE-er I know (knew?) is/was Frank.  Check out his archived posts; they're very good.  Anyway, Frank was almost entirely focused on Astral phenomenon, almost to the exclusion of other things. Except horses, I know he loved horses.

As for me, I do not project every night.  I've only been successful a handful of times.  But I will tell you that I keep my life as simple and stress-free as I can.  Practicing OBE takes time, and a certain mindspace, and I don't like too much life-clutter or stress to detract from my goals.

That's about it!  The simple answer is . . . what's in your head, what's in your soul, matters very much.  Your outer life, and your head-space, are a perfect reflection of your soul.  Change one, and you automatically change the other!  As above, so below.
