How would you interpret them directly? It being text and all, wouldnt you have to in some way read it back to yourself to get the information into your memory? Or is it stored in images or another form of thought?

I dont understand how you can measure your belief. For me at least, its either I believe or I dont. There is no in between.

Hmm..I would go so far as to say that just like in the astral, where things become more permenant with more thought power(i.e. API) this could hold true for the physical. But this begs the question of why didnt "Adam and Even" just fly around? They surely had no concept of gravity when they were born and would have had to get used to the idea of there feet sticking to the ground.

I dont know, I lean more towards the thought of the physical being purely objective.

If not all people have souls then not all people should be able to astral project, correct?

Following this logic, not all people can AP. But since it has been established that we CAN all AP(or has it? im basically assuming, correct me if im wrong.) then it follows that we all have souls.

One has to beg the question then, just how far can we go? Technology-wise, if we build machines that can instantly make us ap, or ANYTHING for that matter, it sort of throws the whole notion that we are here to learn lessons!

For example, if we create a pill that makes you happy 24 hours a day, all day, everyday, whats the point of being here? What lesson could you possibly learn if theres no anger to contrast your happyness, no sadness etc., etc.

This, I believe is what the whole notion of the 2012 theory is all about. Humans are close to discovering so much, that when we get to a point where we know everything, something has to change. It may not be a big change, but I do believe something is bound to happen in the next couple of decades that puts everything into perspective.

Just my thoughts, It might sound a little confusing but Its hard to put it down on paper

Have you tried thinking beautiful landscapes? Maybe the reason some people get these is because thats what they THINK is supposed to be there? Maybe since this was your first time you had no idea what was supposed to be there, so nothing was!

Or, perhaps just wait for the screen to turn into an image you like and hop on in!

Hehe, well in the astral thought = action so if you THINK about things like that, they will happen. as for you not being able to get out of your sleeping bag...you would have done it anyway when you started a dream!(Remember, you arent actually leaving your body, just changing your focus to the astral)

People often ask, "Well if this stuff is for real, how come its not all over the news, and we dont see an "Astral Projection 101" at our schools, etc.

My thinking is, we are all on a different stage of spiritual development, some are more advanced, and perhaps some are at the earlier stages, as in still learning the basics. Perhaps we are all drawn to this subject as just a matter of teaching ourselves and continuing on down our journey.

Some people might be at different stages, learning lessons that some of us have learned in previous incarnations. They would naturally not give a rats *** about this whole subject, they are too busy learning other valuable lessons.

As for wether or not it is subjective, I honestly dont know, maybe someone with more knowledge than me can help you out. I believe that it is subjective, perhaps your astral senses are naturaly more developed?

Anyways i envy you(i have yet to project, just started practicing 4 days ago) and it seems like you may have some talent. Keep it up

One more thing, could this energy be used to help prject myself out of body? Better yet, is there anyone out there that knows what they are talking about that can tell me what I can do with my "new found" power? Like when people talk about one of the symptoms of exiting the body being a surge of electricity.. Is this that feeling? And if it is couldnt I harness it to really help myself project easier?

WOW! I cant believe this! I too have been able to do this all my life(Well at least as long as i can remember! Sometimes I have to sort of wiggle around my neck a bit, but it always goes from right around my neck/back of the head area down towards my feet.

Also, after i usually do it once or twice the energy feels "drained" and i cant seem to do it for a minute or two.

It feels sort of like sending a small electrical shock that runs down my body.

This is SO WEIRD that i ran into this post, def. synchronity at work. I just went and asked my mom about it, she said that she cant do it. I always thought it was a normal thing throughout my life!

In this last 2 days or so that I have been researching OBEs/chakras etc it has REALLY been more prevelant.

I def. believe something is coming. humanity cant walk down this path of science vs. religion much longer before something is proven or some landmark discovery is made.

PS. That is not to say that there havnt been landmark discoveries made yet, you just havnt heard of them.

PSS. I also agree with Selski, you could probably divide the number of diarrhea the pope has taken by 1322 and youd get 13. i wouldnt dwell on it too long

The main thing that turned me off of these guys is there forums like i said. Notice how when anyone asks the question all they get is "Well, looks like your doing great, theres some great info that you could learn from the courses just give us your credit card number. Whenever i see anything like that, i naturally run

I suppose the free courses and probably even some of the material in the charged courses could be beneficial, but you can definitely learn far more just from these forums if you look in the right place

Another thing, I don't know if its coincidince or not, but last night i remember having the 1st lucid dream of my life!(that i can remember of course i remember thinking to myself "this is a dream!" but i cant seem to remember anything else, i must of had alot of fun I also havnt been able to remember my regular dreams in forever, however last night i remember what was probably my last dream of the night pretty clearly, so i started a dream journal on my laptop

Hello everyone, my name is Ben and i just stumbled on this website yesterday while researching OBEs. I just recently (3-4 days ago) started researching OBE, mostly reading different forums. Mostly astralweb (Which i now view as more of a cult, jeez those guys are weird ) and outofbody.co.uk forums. I stumbled here and i have to say this place looks like the most liberal, "real-deal" type forum.

My interest in OBE was sparked recently by a friend and I started to do some research on the web, even going so far as to spend about 45 minutes yesterday trying to project (I'm not sure im ready yet, but i do believe i started to enter focus 10, i remember experiencing the beginning of dreams only to "bring myself back" so to speak, to continue my focus on my heartbeat. It was then that i started to feel totally unproportional, i.e., shrinking then growing, and also the "living inside my head" feeling. Could i perhaps have begun the phasing process or is it just wishful thinking from my first experiance?

Another thing i learned recently from my mother is that my dad(who passed away when i was 11, i am 18 now.) was a very spiritual person who attended some astral projection courses and also was very interested in chakras, etc. Again, this could be wishful thinking but perhaps I am one of the more spiritually inclined people? Maybe I just have an older soul!

Anyway, i hope to stick around and continue on my path, thanks for having me guys and good luck to all of you!

P.S. Frank you are really a fountain of knowledge and an inspiration to us all, I've learned more from reading 6 or 7 of your posts than i did from 9 years of Catholic School!
