Ya, and dragons, and king kongs and unicorns  :-D

One trick that has worked for me was to move my eyes upward, as if trying to see my eyebrows. Eyes closed.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Dream Reflection
August 10, 2006, 22:11:00
Wow, 20 false awakenings, I would have started to become worried.  :-)

Don't know if there's a special meaning to this, but I've had something similar happen to me. After having walked into the mirror I found myself in a world of infinite reflexions, like when you stand in between 2 mirrors. My image repeated itself forever, I kept floating inside this cave or tunnel, it was pretty large but there was no special light indicating some other place to go. I was in awe, and could hear my heartbeat, not fast, actually very slow, but loud, right into my ears, it felt like I was swallowing my own heart, vibrating with it.

It was very strange, not creepy because there was nothing to be afraid of, it felt fantastic, but it's not something I would like to feel everyday.

According to the theory, our bodies become less dense the higher we go (dimensions), compared to the physical body, our astral body is like vapor, the mental body would be like an almost shapeless stream of colours... but can't say too much about that.

Cool!  :-D

I said something wrong, she didn't do backing vocals for Deep Purple, but for Ritchie's solo album.

Oh well, I'm not sure, maybe she did both...
#456
It's Ritchie Blackmore (ex-Deep Purple) and Candice Night, his wife, she did Deep Purple's backing vocals. They play Renaissance influenced music.

Good job Synergy, your voice is very pleasant. Beautiful song, do you listen to Blackmore's Night? I'm 90% positive that you do, but wanna hear it from you

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Re: Missing Pet
August 06, 2006, 19:13:16
Sorry to hear about your cat.

Don't give up looking for him in your surrounding area. If you wanna go on an astral quest you have to remember that many of the messages need to be interpreted, so the dream/projection may not be presenting the answer to where your pet has gone, but hints to where he might have been or done.

I wish you good luck, you're probably the most qualified person to be successful in finding him since you're both sharing an emotional connection. Others could be helping you in the quest, but they would need more information, maybe an object that belongs to him, it's a hit or miss task.

It seems like a trap you're in, because it has happened before, and just to think of it can make it happen again.

What I'd say is, don't think of 'destination', think of the person, the consciousness you're trying to contact, as much as possible go straight to the point.

What I used to do was to call out her/his name 3 times and it worked, but eventually I had called 12 times and ... nothing, it can happen.

The best results seemed to had been achieved when I requested the meeting before being asleep, and not while already on the astral. You know when it starts and feels like 'Wow, I'm here, this is my chance!'.

You're really almost there, just don't forget to stabilize yourself, clap your hands and jump, or rub your hands together, grab something or someone, or even ask the person to hold you, it's pretty cool and helpful.

Ah, when I was having this kind of dreams I began to take note of them, and never stopped.

There's one I can remember, don't know how it started, but I was in my room and it was full of explosives, I was tied to all of them, suddenly I blew myself up and turned into a ghost.

I was desperate to tell my parents what happened, I was confused and regretful, then I woke up.

About the monsters, they used to bother me a lot during childhood, and like you, I knew I could make it stop, but instead of letting them catch me I would just close my eyes very tight and I was sure that I wouldn't be there anymore when I opened them.

I was just lucid enough to escape them and not to fight them.

One interesting thing about monsters is that I had nightmares of them until some 5 years ago, and then I had the chance to really face them. They were all surrounding me, big angry beasts, full of thorns and nasty teeth, as they approached me I put them to fight against each other, and they burned with each attack.

They were flaming, screaming, so I took full control of it and told them to stop,  and one by one they became peaceful, the lioness started walking between my legs like a little cat, the monsters came to me, and not like monsters anymore they started greeting me saying 'Goodnight'.

Man, it felt so good. I knew I had done the right thing, and since that dream I can't remember ever seeing monsters again.

Tvos, sorry to hear about her mom.

It was just for personal research. Here they have a day for visits, guess it's on the weekends, but depending on what you want to do they can let you in without having to schedule a date.

Yup, good luck with your new occupation, they will surely be thankful.

Hey Sunn, I heard your track 'nothern star'. It sounds good man, are you using FL too? Fennez, the artist you told me about, I found a clip on youtube called 'Shisheido', I really liked his work, thanks for the indication.  :-)

It was to collect stories of death-bed visions and Nde's, I was planning to write some things on the subject. I also went to the hospital, and they said that there are some cases, but were not too willing to talk about.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / guess what time it is
August 01, 2006, 22:33:07
Not too long ago I found out I could precisely tell the time (hour and minutes) when someone asked me, even though I don't use a watch. It started as a joke, I would just say the hour out of the blue, like 13:37, and people thought it was strange and funny that I said 37 instead of 35 or just 30, but I 'guessed' right more than I guessed wrong to be considered just coincidence.

What I do is to close my eyes and try to see the numbers, sometimes they show up one by one, and then I have to form the hour pattern like of a digital clock, wow, thinking now, it would have been much easier to imagine the arrows of an analog clock, but then I would lose the precision of minutes.

When I woke up today I tried to figure out what time it was while still in bed, so I used many things into account, like how rested I was feeling, the clarity that came from outside, then I closed my eyes and tried to see the numbers. I saw a 4 and a 7, the 7 was specially insistent, but I wasn't sure whether it was 9 or 8 am, maybe 7.

I tried to visualize the 9 and expect some special sign to tell me that was the right hour, didn't have it. Then I tried with the 8, didn't have it either, I guessed it was 9:47 because I thought it was more likely to be, but when I looked at the clock it was 8:47

Maybe some people could try this too and see how well they can guess the time. The trick is to keep on looking at the numbers until you feel you're not controlling them, the moment you think that what you're seeing is unexpected but possible is the right time.

It takes a few seconds for the image to appear, and it's not so bright, I see something like this:

It sounds like something I would like to do too. To hear these people's stories is a great time to me.

Once I went to the asylum to interview some people there, asking about their dreams, their views on life and death, and maybe the afterlife if they believed in it. Most of the dwellers were unable to keep a coherent conversation anymore, but they loved to receive visits and to have someone different to talk to.

2 people were specially interesting to meet, one was a 92 year old man, he asked my age, I said 23, and he quickly said, well I'm 4 times that age, 23+23+23+23= 92, then he told the story of his life, when he worked with his father, going from here and there by train. It was cool, but he wasn't good at answering questions due to his hearing.

The other one was a woman, she had lost her daughter, and at night once she saw her in the room, so she got scared, covered her head and started praying.

Ok, singing in tribute to Judas Priest, it's almost done, so it's just a preview here  :-P:

This one was recorded live, I'm doing the lead vocals and acoustic guitar, it was a beautiful day. It's also a cover, the original is by Dispatch, the song is called 'Hey Hey':

Some heavier stuff, a tribute to Nirvana. The bass and drums were made using Fl Studio, I recorded the vocals and guitars:

One in Portuguese, my native language. Covering 'VocĂȘ', by Tim Maia:

It's fixed now, download directly from the link.

Thank you very much RunLola :-D I'm missing someone to come and bash my stuff hehe. Most of the creations I make on the guitars are very experimental, I'm not a very good guitar player, but I love the instrument.

And the singing, oh, I have only 1 full song of my own that I added vocals, but I sing other people's songs. I have plenty of recordings here on my computer, but that website won't allow for covers, so I'm gonna try to find another place where I can upload the one I've been recording with a friend.

It's the cover of a cover, our tribute to Judas Priest's version of Joan Baez, 'Diamonds and Rust'. It's not done yet, but it's coming out pretty cool.

Great thread!

Not just places to see, but it would be fun to hear and feel some things, like once I tried to feel what it was like to be in the Titanic when it sunk.

*to hear the first melody that was ever created;

*is there really a liquid ocean under Europa's surface? (Jupiter's Moon);

A couple of nights ago I had just gone to bed and was kind of complaining about how I dream of houses and people and streets, and that I could be dreaming of something that I didn't know, like a planet far away that had stones and bizarre structures, maybe some life, and as that thought evolved I saw the outer space and a hand moving very fast, like zooming and indicating a little purple planet that was very shiny. I thought "yeah, that's what I want to see...", but then I was not there anymore.  :|

I did this one morning when I was eating my cereal, I closed my eyes and thought I saw my hand through my eyelids while wide awake. I tried going outside blindfolded and went to the square, but with all the fuss outside I wasn't successful making it happen again.
#473
Hehehe I have never heard of that one before, but sounds interesting. Maybe the two on the sides are conspiring against the middle one. Let's say they are 3 children, one is the first born, the other one the youngest and most cared for, and the one in the middle is the 'forsaken', forgotten, so he dies in dispair

Well, can't tell, I'm not very superstitious.

Hi Leyla,

There's a sheet of paper on the wall by the side of my bed that I use to take note of my experiences with ease, and though I try to keep it blank for the next sleep, I open my eyes between sleep cycles and often see things written and drawings on it, but don't pay attention anymore since it's so hard to make out what it is. I remember having seen numbers speeding, symbols, names and random words.

Hey, thanks a lot Sarah! Glad you liked that one, it's the most recent one.
Exactly, I'm gonna use it as an introduction for another song that I'm working on, some new ideas have been popping up, I might add a few more minutes to it.
