A part of me vibrates with the idea of life occurring in frames (did I interpret that correctly?). I've had some experiences where this has literally happened (of course, not exactly while sober but nevertheless, a still 'valid' occurrence) in which life had presented itself in segments or frames, as in a sequence of pictures.

Anyway, just thought I'd drop a short comment. I will come back and take a more in depth look at your theory later on.

Welcome to the forum!

...I believe I've heard this noise your talking about. It occured about 3 months ago during vibrations. Not a very soothing sound.

Thanks for elaborating, Rob. I'm going to experiment with this technique some more before I post results.
#54
I'm confused.

Eh. I'm having some trouble! It seemed a lot easier when I first I read it. Like, it's hard for me to gather the feelings of the experience while watching the memory play in my head (is that what were supposed to do?). I can concentrate all I like but I can't get any emotions when I think back on these things. It's weird. Any suggestions?

Today in class I was anxious for some reason and so I tried to.. like focus on it. It came to a point where the anxiety just vanished but reappeared several moments later. And the euphoric rush thing, not feeling it at all. lol. If you could just try to describe your technique a little more thoroughly it would really help. If not I guess I can just try and figure something out. Thanks.

The Patient by Tool

A groan of tedium escapes me,
Startling the fearful.
Is this a test? It has to be,
Otherwise I can't go on.
Draining patience, drain vitality.
This paranoid, paralyzed vampire act's a little old.

But I'm still right here
Giving blood, keeping faith
And I'm still right here.

Wait it out,
Gonna wait it out,
Be patient (wait it out).

If there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through
This tedious path I've chosen here,
I certainly would've walked away by now.
Gonna wait it out.

If there were no desire to heal
The damaged and broken met along
This tedious path I've chosen here
I certainly would've walked away by now.

And I still may ... (sigh) ... I still may.

Be patient.
I must keep reminding myself of this.

And if there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through
This tedious path I've chosen here,
I certainly would've walked away by now.
And I still may.

Gonna wait it out.

What do you guys think about depersonalization and derealization? Have you ever experienced it? How often does it usually occur? How do you think it relates to AP/OBE's/phasing?

You can do a search on Google if you have no idea what I'm talking about. Here's a site that was created by a person who has gone through such things first hand:

Catmeow -  I never got a chance to see that thread. Thanks for sharing it!

Major Tom, nice to see your getting back in the swing of things.

"Next, I would feel the energy sensations, be fully lucid, exit, and then briefly fly around close to my exit locations."

OK- just curious but what do you mean by "exit locations"? I feel like it's a common sense kind of thing but I can't figure out what your referring to.

"At any point during the day, I usually feel the vibration throughout my legs, particularly on the soles and top of the feet."

This happens to me too. It's like a buzzing sensation that randomly occurs. However, when I experience the vibrations full-blown, I'm not sure whether or not they start at the soles of my feet. Usually it starts off as a wave over my entire body and then becomes especially strong in the head area. I should pay attention next time.

I would love to learn to do something like that.

But if going OB doesn't require the body to be completely relaxed, why is so much emphasis placed on it?

Try taking a nap before you practice.

Haha. That must of been cool. I've always wanted to be a ninja.

I think a lot of people lack self-discipline (including myself) and to be able to go through with this should be a great achievment. I wish you the best of luck!
#66
Whoa, whoa, whoa. You went OB on your lunch break??? Now that's cool.

Runlola, that's exactly how I would have put it. Going down, deeper and deeper.

Maybe you need to see your mechanic.

But then again... I'm sure there are people out there that hear a lot of voices in their heads whov'e never even thought of APing/OBE/whatever. I wonder why.

Yes. A couple weeks ago I awoke to a male's voice saying "Hurry Up". It hasn't happened since but the clarity of the voice shocked me.

If my Psychology teacher knew about this, he'd damn think we were schizophrenic. Which is sad because anytime I try to bring something out of the box, which is hard to do with a hardcore psych teacher, he says "Hmm. I haven't heard of anything like that" and gives me this strange look. I've learned to keep my mouth shut. Sorry I got off track but I'm going to say I think so. That yes, the more "astral" experiences you undergo.. or rather - as you open yourself up more and more to those types of experiences - the more they present themselves to you - in this case ... the voices.
