I think one of the most important things to remember when trying to exit is to be patient. Dont give up after an hour of laying there, and try not to be discouraged either, it will come in time. If you dont exit when awake, chances are you will have a lucid dream where you can try again. Most of my success has come from that method, rather than soully depending on being awake when trying. But again, patience is the key.

I was thinking, is there any possibility that my vision was real, and that the Titanic really sunk during the day? It would mean that the captain was careless and the ones who were supposed to save them were reckless. It makes sense that if it happened during the day they would try to stifle the case by paying a huge indemnity to the survivors to keep them quiet and avoid the anger of the families of the dead. It would have been one of the greatest blunders of history.

Hehe   nah it's not a bad idea ... it was really kind of nice    I doubt if there is any serious danger of an "accidental" DoS here in addition to a large number of coordinated users those users also need to make numerous automated large bandwidth requests at the same time ... so this place should be safe.

However if the goal is simply to increase the "number" the easiest way is to dial through a few different proxy servers at the same time and block your cookies. In five minutes I'd expect one person could appear as atleast 20 guestsif not more so you'd only need 5 people or so helping you out

Of course you could just have Adrian login into phpMyAdmin and change the number manually

Well.... no, I didnt fully OBE. I was literally one step short. Anyway, heres what happened:

Well, it was early in the evening when the power went off (severe weather). So after a while I got kinda bored. So I thought... why not go have a nap. So I did, I lay down, and then instead decided to try and OBE.

So I didnt bother with the relaxation stuff, and still managed to reach that point where I see the swirling clouds and my whole body goes numb quite easily.
Next, I started sinking further and further (conciously though) into sleep. The next thing I know is a dream is playing, but its totally in my control. So I played around with that for a while before my initial goal came back to mind.
So while in the dream, I... tried to "channel?" myself away from my physical body. (Yes, that sounds retarded, or maybe it doesnt. But if you think it does, then I agree with you and say... I dunno what else to say!)
Anyway, I could feel myself lifting up. Unfortunately I could hold this "lifting" and just sank back into my body (by this stage the dream had sort of changed from being in my "head" to being in my "vision").

So I kept trying for a while, with this dream playing around me (it changed every so often, at one stage I was in some room looking out onto a valley, then the next thing im falling through some tunnel, then im in deep space)

But then it occured to me while I was trying that the power was going to come on at any minute, and no doubt the lights turning back on would wake me up. So I kinda had to edge out of it.

I woke up feeling SO weird. My vision was really glossy, my body felt like jelly, my arms were tingling, and I had no sense of direction (not "where am I" direction, but "what am I doing" direction). So I kinda stumbled around the house for a while, sure enough the power came back on.

So thats my experience! Ill try again when I go to bed later on, hopefully ill have the same success I did earlier! If not better

Does the religion of Islam leave room for spirituality involving astral projections, infinite planes of existence, etc? Or is it stringent and denounce it as dark arts (much like Christianity)?

Not all Christians condemn astral projection. Only some. I sure dont.

That said, there is nothing inherently evil about it, & if it was truly against the will of god, we wouldn't have achieved it in the first place, because to say that something we do is against the will of god, implies that we have overcome the will of god, & are essentially more powerful than god (which we aren't, or are we?

Jason, interesting idea. Though if thats true then that should render all Christians incapable of commiting sin because that also would be against the will of God. Which plainly isnt the case.

Cool stuff man. Ive never had sleep paralysis before either *sighs*. The closest ive come is sleeping on my arm overnight to find it numb and limp in the morning .

lol, I wouldnt worry about it man. From what I can tell, everyone here is too laid back to worry about it hehe. Interesting question though. Although ive never had a proper OBE I would imagine people would speak in the language they speak in the "physical" world.
