The words "DIE" and "DIE SLOWLY" are written on your bedroom ceiling?!  [:O]

I think it's time to find a new house!! [;)]

Seriously though, I don't know much about that kind of stuff and how you may be able to get rid of it.  I know a lot of people here do though so hopefully they'll help ya.

Good luck!

Hi there Pandemonium.

Here in the USA I think it's basically a joke to most people.  Not evil like you describe, but people tend to think you're a little crazy if you openly admit to stuff like this.  Which is so unfortuante, because I feel totally alone in this respect of my life.  There is absolutely no one I can talk about this with, not even my girlfriend.
I don't think there is really any country in the world yet that is open to stuff like this.  China and other asian countries might be the country most open to energy development since they have practicing martial arts for thousands of years, alot of which incorporate energy flow.  But I will agree with you that your country seems to take these subjects pretty hard.  Have you found any communities or groups of people in your country that have the same ideas/beliefs as you in this subject?

I'm still having trouble deciding whether or not the fact my potential instructor does not teach a classic Kung Fu style, but rather his own style made up of different kinds of styles/arts (look about 6 posts above to see what it is made up of) is a good thing or bad thing.

I think I would rather take Kung Fu than Tai Chi, but if it would be better to take a known style of Tai Chi than a new style of Kung Fu, then I would take Tai Chi.

The thing I am wary about the Tai Chi is that it is Yang style, which I have read in a couple places is usually a lesser style because it was changed so much  from it's original form.  So unless the instructor has been taught the original form, (which is likely because on the website it says how he trained under masters that were of direct lineage of the style) I wouldn't be getting the most out of it.

One last thing.  His "Flowing Hands" style of Kung Fu includes Yang Style Tai Chi in it, so do you think it would be better just to take the Kung Fu since it includes Tai Chi anyways?

Thanks in advance for any help or replies you may give me.  I'm sorry if I was confusing in this post... I am pretty confused myself right now. [:)]

I wouldn't use club photo to host the image.  try imagestation or a different host.  We're getting a Club Photo advertisement instead of your image.

Welcome to Dreams! / Everytime i go to sleep

Everytime i go to sleep in my dreams i wake up here

Where/What is "here"?  Are you talking about waking up in a dream, or from a dream?

quote:
i use to wake up in a better place

Somewhere else? Not in the U.S.?  Not on this planet?  Not on this plane of vibration?

You need to elaborate before we can even try to help ya here. [;)]

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Planet X on the way?
February 25, 2003, 07:17:37
I think it's supposed to pass by us in June of this year.  There are many different prophecies regarding this object.  I've unintentionally been reading a lot about this object lately and most reports/stories/whatever say it's a planet (Planet X) I forget what the "real" name for it is.  Some say it will cause death and destruction (Man's favorite prophecy...) and some say it will bring peace and restore order to the Earth.  Kinda hard to believe either, so I just say let's wait and see what happens.  Hehe. Welcome to Integral Philosophy! / Mass conscious
February 25, 2003, 07:06:16
It's a belief that I've been toying with for the past couple months.  I still haven't accepted it or dismissed it yet though.

Here's what I've been pondering over: that there is a single conscious that are higher-selves are a part of, and we are a part of our higher-selves.  We go through physical life, learning, growing, and attempting to meet our goals, while our higher-selves are doing the same on a higher level, maybe with multiple versions of us (past lives) and when our higher self finally completes it's journey, that it is reunited with the single conscious. (which most people call God, but I haven't come up with a name for it yet.  I don't like to use God because I feel it's overused to describe a similar, yet seperate entity that I don't neccessarily believe in.)

Welcome to the Healing place! / help for an uncle
February 24, 2003, 20:08:26
Hi Child of the Forest

You were kind enough to send healing and help to my dad (who is doing good by the way, he came home from the hospital today!) so I will return the favor for your uncle!  [;)]

best wishes,

Tom, where did you find these teachers of yours.  It's my understanding that buddhist teachers are very few and far between.  Am I wrong or did you get lucky and find one (or more).

I think Michael Jackson is a good guy too.  He may be weird, but I think his love for children is genuine.  I mean look at him, he's basically still a kid himself!  Even though thats not normal behavior for a 44 year old, I think people should just leave him alone.  Plus you gotta think if the parents put the thoughts that Michael did something to them in their heads so the parents could make some easily millions my suing him...

Hehe, sorry for getting off-topic.

I've noticed over the past couple years that the length of my deja-vus are getting longer.  Not more frequent, but the amount of time that I think seems familiar is longer.  It used to be just a second or a couple words that gave me deja-vu, but now it's long enough that I have time to think what's going to happen next.  It's pretty cool, I wish I would have them more frequently.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / War has already started
February 24, 2003, 10:21:55
When I said "not really" I meant it as a reply to your question/statement: "so, basically, there's no point to writing to senetors and stuff about not having the war"

Writing to senators won't do much of anything at this point.  Maybe 6 months ago, but Bush doesn't need any further approval from congress to go to war, so I don't know what bothering congress members is going to do.

I know I had an imaginary friend when I was little.  I don't remember it's name though... I also don't remember if I could actually SEE it or if I pretended too...

quote:
is there something wrong with me? i keep feeling like you guys have been spiritual forever and im cut off from it. i didnt do it when i was a ikid and i cant do it now, but i keep hearing that you did and you can and... is there something wrong with me?

I could probably count how many times I went to church in my 22 years of life on both hands.  I pretty much didn't believe anything and didn't think there was anything after life.  But I didn't fear death because I had an attitude that I won't care after I die, because I'd be dead.  (If that makes any sense, it does to me, I just can't explain it)  It wasn't until the past year or so that I've been changing my beliefs.  If you told me what I believe now, and that I'd be visiting this site on a daily basis 2 years ago, I probably would have laughed at you and said you're crazy.  I don't think it's ever too late to change your beliefs and develop your spiritual side.

That shrieking sound you heard was normal.  Sounds and sometime voices are said to be heard just as the astral body is seperating from the physical body.  A lot of people get frightened by this, and stop, but the key is to not be afraid and let it pass.  Soon after, you'll find yourself out and ready to explore!

They showed Michael Jackson's video on Wed I think here in the USA and I caught some of it.  It really isn't "the other side" of the story.  Basically Bashir said things to Jackson to gain his trust (like saying Michael does a goob job raising his kids and everything).  I dunno, I only caught a couple min, but it didn't seem like a tape that totally contradicted Bashir like they advertised it to be.  Check it out tho, maybe I missed alot of the good parts...

I guess we (or atleast I) misunderstood your post.  You're posting in the Energy Development section about being able to hear a TV when it's on and muted... right?  I mean, usually posts like this are saying that someone has a metaphysical sense for [whatever] so I thought that's what you were trying to say... now I'm just confused [:P]

Not really... [V]  If Bush wants war, he'll get war, not matter what... Heck, he doesn't even care about the millions of people around the world that protested like a week ago.  He said the protests doesn't change his attitude towards Iraq.  I posted the link somewhere on this forum... Just what you like to hear from a president, huh?  "I don't care if you (the people I represent, and millions other all around the world) don't want war" is basically what he said... [}:)]

Well I think a TV is bad example to use if you want to prove something like this.  Basically all that's happening is you're hearing high pitched noise coming from the speakers (whether or not you can actually hear it is irrelevant because your subconcious will pick it up) which isn't a strong case for metaphysically sensing things, only that your sense of sound may be more sensitive than other peoples'.  Most homes these days don't even have atennas on their TVs anymore, so you can't say that you're picking up tv waves.  You would need to experiment with like a muted radio or something, but the test would be what song is playing, not whether it is on or off (without looking at it obviously) because again you would be picking up sounds, not waves.

Ok, there might be a few exceptions, but naturally we dream every night.  You might not remember them, but if you went a lab and had them hook you up to some brainwave machines, they can show you going through the different phases of sleep and when you start dreaming.  If you get very little sleep, you will probably not dream because it usually takes a couple hours to reach the relaxation point where the mind can let go and start dreaming.  So lack of sleep and medication are two ways what will prohibit you from dreaming everynight... both unnatural. Ginny or someone correct me if I'm wrong...

I think what happens is they actually don't see the Helpers, or if they do, they think they're someone or something trying to hurt them because I think they look different than someone in the physical.

These people die and don't know it, and are stuck in whatever situation their mind puts them in. (usually the place/situation where they died in the physical)  They don't think anything is wrong with where they are and don't really grasp that they could've been there for a long time already.  I think Ginny or someone else who did a retrieval mentioned that one lady kept thinking that people kept coming to rob her, so she put up a wall of kitchen items (that was where she was stuck) and the retriever had to convince the lady to come out and that she wasn't being robbed.  In the end if I remember correctly the retriever figured out that the "robbers" were really the Helpers trying to come and help, but the person (victim) wouldn't acknowledge them.

Like I said, this is just how I've interpreted the situation after reading a couple retrieval posts.  Someone more experienced in this could probably correct me on a lot of things.

Even though I think I have found the place to study at, I checked out Jeet Kune Do like you said.  I only went to like 2 sites about it, but it seemed it was more focused on the fighting side of it... I could be wrong, they could have been bad sources... I was at this one site (I forget what it was called) but it was a site where people from all types of arts chat, and they were all saying stuff like how they're style could kick someone else's styles butt and all.  Does that seem incredibly stupid to anyone else?
I don't want to go into the martial arts to be in tournaments or be the best fighter out there.  In fact, I hope I never have to use the self-defense side of it.  (Though knowing it would be nice, just in case)  I'm more interested in the personal growth that can be achieved from dedicating one's self to a martial art.  I think I have found the place and instructor, but not the style.
The instructor has his own style of Kung Fu, which I posted a couple posts above, and Yang stlye Tai Chi.  I'm still trying to learn more about which would be better for me.(and I'm still open to you guy's suggestions!) [;)]

Anyways, if I got the wrong impression of Jeet Kune Do, I'm sorry.  If you'd like, send me a good link about it, and I'll read up about it more.  But I still don't know if there is an instructor in my area that teaches it..

I've never watched any Bruce Lee movies... are they worth watching?  I've seen a couple chinese martial arts movies before and they were really cheesy... with bad voice dub-overs and all... hehe [:D]

Kung Fu or Tai Chi, Kung Fu or Tai Chi...
