Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: red bull
December 08, 2006, 06:46:15
This is quite interesting, cant say I have had psychic experiences under the influence of redbull, how ever, I have drunk a large quantity of the stuff, more than 7 cans in one setting, and I could smell diesel fumes for over an hour even though others could not! bizzare.

Actualy there was a book written about this very subject.

http://www.amazon.com/Mindsight-Near-Death-Out-Body-Experiences/dp/0966963008

Book Description
Ring and Cooper explore evidence that even those blind from birth can "see" during near-death experiences. Their evidence reveals a unique type of perception. More than just "seeing", it involves a deep awareness and profound ability to know that the authors have called "Mindsight".

This volume is a ground-breaking work in the field of near-death studies. It investigates the astonishing claim that blind persons, including those blind from birth, can actually "see" during near-death or out-of-body episodes. The authors present their findings in scrupulous detail, investigating case histories of blind persons who have actually reported visual experiences under these conditions.

There is compelling evidence that the blind do "see" in those moments, but it is not sight as we think of it. Ring and Cooper uncover a kind of "transcendental awareness" they refer to as mindsight. It involves the strange experience of being able to perceive from all angles at once, from every focal depth at once, and a sense of "knowing" the subject, not just visually, but with a deep and inexplicable knowledge.

Human beings may be more complex than we thought, gifted with amazing abilities of perception. This book is an opportunity to assess the evidence for yourself.

About the Author
Kenneth Ring, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Connecticut and co-founder and Past President of the International Association for Near-Death Studies. He is also the author of several previous books about near-death experiences, including Life at Death, Heading Toward Omega, The Omega Project, and most recently, Lessons from the Light.

Sharon Cooper, M.A., is a Ph.D. candidate in counseling psychology at New York University. She has studied yoga, Eastern spirituality, and the field of near-death studies since the early 1980s.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: be careful.....
October 05, 2006, 07:24:22
Hmm, interesting, ill keep that in mind, how ever, id like to add, most dreams, I feel are symbolic to the dreamer and to the dreamers internal world, it could be a reflection of what is happening inside of you, just a thought.

Do you by any chance experience vibrations, electrical sounds, complete paralasis of the body when these sensations you described, arise? what is it that you experience during this phase?
#57
While I have not particularly read things for that reason alone, I am not sure if it is some thing I have observed, how ever, if you are experiencing that in your astral travels, I can imagine it to be due to habitual experience of being human, some thing that can be unlearned.

Thanks mate, I will certainly try that!

Thank you both for that reply, I am not certain that if it is a matter of energy work or just experience, once again take Robert Monroe, whom did not engage in any energy cultivating activities (to my knowledge), and yet still managed to have these experiences, Andrew, you mentioned to stabilize your self by clapping your hands etcetera, this is spot on the root of my problem, as soon as I move to the area stabilization problems occur.

I wouldn't consider my self being a pro as ala Robert Monroe, but I have had quite a few experiences with these matters, and one problem is when I wish to visit some body....that is discarnate, I have tried twice to date and have so far half failed, once I am out side I summon the help of what I call my higher self to take me or guide me to discarnate being such and such, and on both occasions, a force that picks me off the ground and takes me rapidly upwards skywards at a 90 degree angle, and I must say quite rapidly as well.

now you might think, oh well, that's quite dandy, your even being guided there like your on a wheel chair you lazy git, but, I soon lose a certain control and wind up back in my body much to my frustration as you can imagine, I also might add that this has happened when I have wished to travel to certain people whom I know, I have almost felt them right there, as if I was standing next to them, but as it so happens, I wind back in my body.

Now my question to certain veterans of OBE's, is how does one keep control and arrive at these destinations? any pointers? advice? techniques?

Thank you.

Quote from: kiwibongaJust because reality rhymes with objectivity doesn't mean they are related.

A lot of people like manuel here like to barge into threads and say that nothing is real and everything is an illusion... That's because he's stuck in the "scientific" definition of reality, which is too concrete to be accurate.

Whos says im stuck in any scientific mode of thinking? get your facts right, I have personaly come to this conclusion from my personal experiences in these matters...I didnt say reality is not real, it is real to how much you think it is real.

Quote from: GreytravellerThis world is the 3 dimensional part of what Einstein called the 4 dimensional space-time continuum. RTZ projections place the OOB person in the 4th dimension. The 4th dimension transcends the 3 physical dimensions. Because humans mostly relie on their 5 physical (3 dimensional) senses they are usually unaware of this transcendent dimension. Simple so far.
Now here is my theory on why RTZ projections often do not correspond exactly with known physical locations. Einstein left out consciousness as a constituent of the universe. In my view the universe is a 4 dimensional space-time holographic matrix where consciousness and energy and matter all interact in a very comple tensor field. Since physical objects have energy (or an energy field) about them any person who is OOB in an RTZ projection (I call it an ethereal projection) may or may not correctly perceive the 4 dimensional energy/energy field as a 3 dimensional physical object.

Remember that perceptions can be faulty even in the best of times. During an OBE perceptions can become distorted, hazy of warped. And there could be other factors involved. For example electrical equipment might be perceived as energy, or light or even a different type of electrical device (such as a tv appearing as a CD player).
Reality is objective (imoa) and human perception - because it can never completely comprehend all of reality, only selected bits of it, is subjective. So it is the OOB person's perceptions that are mistakenly perceiving the object as something else. Or maybe the OOB person does not perceive a physical item at all. That is the reason for confusing RTZ projections.

wow, very nicely put.

There is no such thing as a real time zone, since time and space are both illusions that are agreed upon as being real, the physical word is just a mirror of your mind.

Quote from: JobCould it have possibly been a regular dream (the kind of thing you're usually thinking about in the day)? Dreams can reflect one's thoughts and things that are experienced in waking life, etc.

With that aside, it could also be something of significance. Maybe there's some symbolic meaning behind it? Do you keep a dream/astral experience journal?

No, I dont think it was an ordinary dream, as I was lucid it through the entire experience, no I do not keep a journal.

I had an interesting experience last night, upon waking from a frightful dream, I went back to sleep, as I shut my eyes, I could see this indigo coloured object shaped very much like a tadpole, and its "tail" was wiggling about, I kept focus in this, this indigo coloured tadpole in the darkness, than suddenly, with out any warning, it transformed into a semitransparent tunnel with colourfull geometric patterns on the walls, since it was transparent, I could see this tunnel stretched on and on, I could not see no end to it, as it lots of twists and turns, if any one has watched the film Contact, give you an idea of what I experienced, I moved through this tunnel, fast, than slow, than fast again, at one point, I was going, very, very fast, almost scared me, I had no sensation of any form of a body, just a point of consciousness.

Now I am aware of certain literature mentioning tunnel structures, has any one come across some thing like this?

Quote from: TheDarkChakraYesterday I used an audio meditation that brings your brainwaves to the right frequencies of Astral Projection. I imagined something sucking my soul out of my body. Then I started to twitch like crazy and my physical body was moving upwards, all tense. My thighs were vibrating and so did some of my upper body. I was starting to get emotional (because my sacral/spleen chakra was opening) and I was starting to get sexually excited. Then I ejaculated   . That freaked me out. Is this normal for a 16 year old male? Also why was my body all tense and moving upward? Could I be doing it wrong?

I know that sacral/spleen chakra controls emotions and sexuality and that when you AP it opens all your chakras. What should I do?

The ejaculation sounds pretty normal for any 16 year old guy   im not certain on the rest of your experience other than it sounds rather interesting and that some thing has happened here.

The sounds and feelings asociated with leaving the body isnt just limited to people whom experience OBE's, but NDE's as well, here are a few examples.

QuoteThe men let go of my arms ... I heard a click and a whirr. The whirr went on and on. It was getting louder. The whirr was inside my head and my knees were made of rubber. They were bending and I was falling and all the time the whirr grew louder.

QuoteAt that point I felt something leave my body. It was a whoosh. It went up through the top of my head. I could feel it and I could hear it. Just a gentle whoosh. At that point I found myself standing in a kind of gray mist. Then I knew I had died.

QuoteThe next thing I recall was the sound: It was a Natural "D." As I listened to the sound, I felt it was pulling me out of the top of my head. The further out of my body I got, the more clear the tone became.

And so on, though not every one whom has had a NDE experiences the sounds, but is interesting nethertheless.[/b]

I think we must question the mechanics of this so called real time zone and not label the experience by filtering it through the environment, many sayings, some dating long ago, say this is world is a dream world within a dream, and this reality that we see with our eyes is just in fact energy being decoded by our brains and DNA subjectively, both on a conscious and mass conscious level that we call 3d, if thats the case, it is not suprising to see these so called Alice in wonderland affects when in a non physical state of being, perhaps we are seeing things as they really are.

your thinking it terms of relativity, do you realy think...in the wider reality that is, that there is a such thing as good and bad? for eg, its good that I kill the cockroaches that are infesting my home, but its bad for the roaches, stop labeling every thing with relative terms as they all belong to this "realm" and will only colour your perception. I know, I killed some one in "my past life" its now time for the acended masters to look down at me and make me reincarnate...*sob*. wow...blow up the earth, big call there! its experience for me, its experience for every one, no bad, no good, just damn experience! and thats what matters...EXPERIENCE.
