Thats pretty cool seeking. I'm more of an OBE person rather than lucid dream, although I have some every now and again. Last night I think I was a pirate or something, my dream recall sucks...

I think the first thought that ran through my head was "wow, I so wish I could see myself, and I had a good mental laugh...
#54
I suppose thats the point though... I think that in its confusing nature its own paradoxical beauty and strength lies...

I once was so desperate that I drove to every persons house I could and stole just a little but of alcohol from each of their parents stores and mixed it all together... so I know what you mean man... I'm only seventeen as well, so I remeber the fifteen year old blues as I called'em very well. One of the worst times of my life, but I was glad that I went through it, it unlocked something beautiful inside me.

I think we all find it enjoyable, and I mean, who can resisit the temptation to go and do something just for the fun of it like fly around for  bit. I think if we keep the spiritual exploration and the screwing around in moderation, we can strike a healthy balance with each.

I haven't read any of the Enders Shadow novels, but I think just for fun I will one day. Also, have you ever heard the Advent Rising story that Card was wokring on? It was originally a script written by him for a video game (a very good one at that which I love to play) which I believe was turned into a comic book series, but I'm not sure...

I love the idea of philotes, which, if you read the rest of the series become extremly important. The rest of the Ender series is excellent as well, but not as action packed. Card makes beautiful use of moral delimas in his novel to creat suspense. Sometimes they become slow, but still very enlightening.

OK I have an idea.  What if what we call space has all the properties of 'nothingness' but is actually the antithesis of some sort of virtual something, again in the tradition of entangled particles (space is empty but anti-space is the opposite of empty) and the reason that gravity is instantaneous is because antispace exists nonlocally(therefore takes no time to propagate), but interacts with space, affecting it in the same way that virtual particles interact?
Just give me time, I'll make it make sense...

I think that "something" is the net the superstrings weave. Just a thought.

Maybe you should be the one getting stronger off your pain. No one said you had to be positive or loving, but tolerant at the least. Perhaps you should consider other means to your end, perhaps you need to transcend them. People who cause us pain exist so we can learn how to overcome it. There is nothing more to say about it, all you are going to do is probably have the negs overpower you and latch onto you. If you honestly think you can use something that has a free will to attack another thing that hass free will as well, you are going to have a swift lesson taught to you. Our external conflicrs are mearly the manifestations of our internal ones, and perhaps that is where you should focus your energy.

I used the rope method when this happened to me one time, all I did was imagine a rope above my chest and my astral hands grabbing it and "pulling myself out"
#62
Thats a little subjective and biased don't you think. Do you honestly think you desereve to wield that kind of power? Also, isnt it rather juvenile and immature, to wish something as a neg attack on your enemies? Anything that can be achieved through the usage of negative means can be achieved through positive ones with more effort, yet far more lasting and beneficial results. There are far more effective and positive ways in dealing with a problem than that...

I'm not sure, I've never really ever had a problem with this, perhaps becase I never believe thay could harm me, and have therefore backed off. I had a close friend who had a 'trickster' for lack of a better word mess with her. She would see a cat quickly dart across her peripheral vision followed by a severe panic attack... I told her that these things only hurt you as much as she lets them and that she should have faith that a higher positive entity would protect her if she called (in this case, and perhaps the most common one invoked, it was God). They stopped.

No, its the answer people give to you in the hopes that you will motivate yourself to do something worth while rather than trying to find some life purpose that will find you anyways. Free will is perhaps the most important thing that we are graced with and it is truly a gift beyond all measure.

I think thats a G cord he's playing in that pic, if I'm not mistaken...

Me first OBE, I think I just floated in my room and drooled (metaphorically). I could care less about anything, I was just wanted the feeling of unconditional love and glory to flow through my body forever. It was truly glorious and perhaps the best I have ever felt... Stookie is very right, I was to busy floating as a vegetative ball of bliss to think about visiting Kurt Cobain... but as I began to progress I also began to visit places, but curently I'm kinda stuck with trying to leave my room, which wasn't a problem before.
#67
I've only seen mine twice while OBE, one time it was a gorgeous electric blue, and the other time it looked normal... Seeing your body has never been necesary for me while OBE. In fact my most vivid and amzing experince was without seeing my body

omg. thats EXACTLY what ive been doing this year.

Seriously... I went from very pained and depressed (I almost drank myself to death) to very enlightened and peacefull, overcoming old things and finding my lifes purpose... I've also become more spiritually attuned...
#69
Does it mean something to you?

OBE can happen anywhere, its possible and not neccesarily unheard of. I remember when I was in kindergarten I jumped of a swing and immediatly switched to another viewpoint and watched myself fly off directly into a tree... kinda funny actually...

Are you sure its a dream? Perhaps you're OBE and just aren't lucid enough to have good control. Try to get away from you body and keep saying "clarity now" or "control now" and you may be able to have more control.

Perhaps the spirit guide thoughts did work and you just haven't realized that you are not dreaming, but rather OBE'ing...

Although not one who consumes drugs in any form, except for the occasional party drink, I do know what it means to have nightmares and painful dreams. Rember, the things in dreams can only hurt you as much as you let them. Perhaps they are trying to teach you something. Maybe its your bodys way of excersing the demons that have been supresed for so long. ONe way to also deal with paindul dreams is to attempt to go lucid out of them. Either relax and "go with the flow' trying to be as fearless as possible or you can constantly do reality checks in every day life. Whenever you see something strange, simply ask "am I dreaming? No, I am not" if you can ask yourself this questino in a dream and realize you are dreaming, you can gain control of the dream and direct it where you want...

Hope I helped...

Meh, why not me too... lol, actually I have a really cool idea about a tattoo. Starting at my lower back/upper buttocks it would be tree roots that joined together into a trunk going up my spine, and in each please my corrisponding chakra embedded in the trunk... as it reaches its top, it'll branch out into two angel wings going back down my back... all of it being in a grey mettalic color except for the chakras...

Erynys, you decide what to do, and that will be thing that you feel you need to do. It will not neccesarily be revealed to you with clouds opening and a divine light shining upon you (with obligatory cherebum and choir of angel's), you will one day simply choose to make a difference. The rest is just the easy part, its the understanding that you are given free will for a reaseon that takes effort and time.
#73
I've heard lots of reports that animals can be aware of your presence while OBE and often act just like your physical.

Aura's arn't exactly a good way to determine if one is indingo. Although my aura has always been a dark blue, and when I OBE, I see myself as blue, this does not prove or disprove me being an indigo. Being an indigo is more a concious decision though. ONe must decide to take the responsibilities of becoming a person who will help others to develop. By doing this alone, one can begin to unlock their own potential and nature.

Am I an Indigo, a Crystal, or any other form of helper spirit, I do not know for certain, nor do I care. It is my choice to evolve spiritually and to help others.

I had a girl-friend who broke up with because she thought I wass crazy. That kinda sucked... But most people that I've told are very receptive to it and congratulate me on various experinces I have had. Although I typically have very open minded friends...
