CFTraveler- Thanks for the advice, I'll try it out. The problem I face with all these projection things is that when I try to stay awake waiting for the body to fall asleep, it never does and I just stare on my closed eyelids an hour or two.
Similar is with early-morning attempts, when I actually have the desire to project, it fades away. If I don't, I usually drift between sleep and awake, but without any "awareness".

It seems to me that I can't gain awareness in other state than awake, I actually had a few lucid dreams but every time I become lucid, I can sense the dream uncontrollably fading away and I'm awake within a few minutes.

Synergy- when I let go in sleep paralysis, I usually fall back asleep with not very nice dreams :-( I can't gain awareness in SP (or in any other state than awake it seems) and if I do, I'm awake without even knowing how :?

Does this include very-early attempts?  Like 2-3 hours before it's time to get up?
It happens mainly in these hours, I get more of these "opportunities" early in the morning. But its every time the same, as I gain awareness the experience goes away quickly.

This just happens every time and it is kind of frustrating. :-( When I'm in a sleep paralysis or in a state between sleep and awake, I usually sunbonsciously struggle to force myself awake and I succeed just rarely, most times I drift back to sleep.
However, when I consciously realise that I'm close to projection, it's like an alarm clock, I wake instantly and its gone.

Just like it happened last night, I heard frequent "zaps" in my head (you know what I mean) and as soon as i realised I'm in the right mindset, it was gone!

So really the only possibility that remains is projecting from a dream- by affirmations, as I never become fully conscious in a dream, and if I do, that surely wakes me up!

What can I do? seemse like every time I realise "now I can project!" it wakes me up like a bucket of water in my face... :? :?

Welcome to Dreams! / The edge of the world
July 03, 2008, 06:19:23
I had a dream last night. It seemed like Ive come to the edge of the world. There was a shore with big white stones and white sand, and what seemed like an endless ocean in front of me. The sky was cloudless and it had pink, orange and purple colors like the most amazing sunset you have ever seen, the colors were unbelievable. "So this is the place of my dreams", I thought. I wanted to stay there forever! Just sit and watch the waves listening to the sound of ocean. I also felt a presence of a second entity which was there with me but didn't see it, I think it was my spirit guide. I knew he has always been with me.
...
So whats the point? I dont know, i just felt a need to share this :-D

Imagine that you cannot see, cannot hear, cannot taste, cannot smell and cannot feel any physical sensations. Try to think of it, what you are left with? I think it's the soul's consciousness.

Welcome to Dreams! / Lucid dream problems?
June 28, 2008, 17:20:51
Yesterday I had a dream... In the dream I found some useful things and immediately noticed, "I cannot keep these because I know they'll disappear", followed by "I know I am dreaming". (Still in the dream) my mother wanted something from me, I told her that it's not possible because this dream we are in is going to end soon. I tried "clarity now" command but it did not help.
The dream ended slowly with that I knew i was the physical body laying in the bed, and it was nothing more than a thought or imagination when it ended.

Here comes the weird part, I KNEW I was dreaming but I was not able to control it or anything. The dream had me in control. How am I supposed to "free" myself in a lucid dream?

thank you for replying.

also Just last night i had a dream that something was in my room with me, I knew i was dreaming but i could'nt get out of it, i kept trying to scream for my mom but something kept holding me back.

any ideas?

Sleep paralysis maybe? It just happened i had one recently, I heard a second person breathing in the room, quite scary i tell you! Also in sleep paralysis you cannot move and speak, you have different perception of things around you and you usually drift between dreams and this half-awake state, often the dreams are not-so-nice.
If you become conscious enough in sleep paralysis, you can have an obe easily.

Heh, i think this is another of the placebo healing devices. It cost a fortune and it makes cool plasma effects, so it must be working!! And really, if he is so sure it will help him, in many cases it will!

I would REALLY like to see what is inside the device. I think you would find a small circuit board for operating the controls and a power supply for the plasma effects, nothing else.

I can at will engage some type of energy which starts flowing through my whole body, I feel it the most at the place of stomach (like "gut feeling" or that type of feeling you sometimes get before a stressful situation). After a few seconds of engaging this energy I become exhausted and must stop it. In normal waking state this doesn't do anything just the feeling of the energy.

Anyway, last night I was in that hypnagogic state just after waking up, so I tried to engage the energy. I started to feel some kind of a pull, like I was being pulled from my body, and there was a strong "whoosh" feeling which I saw and heard at the same time (hard to describe). This actually happened a few times before. But the problem is that I get stuck near my stomach every time and I feel an aching sensation there which distracts me (its the only physical sensation I have in that moment).

Anyone has a clue what is going on and how to get "unstuck"?

Another explantation might be that the first time you heard of "cliffs", you connected it with "falling of a cliff" and your fear manifested in dreams.
Just my view of the thing, but sure there were cases of people dreaming of future event which then came true.

It is because you think about it, so you seem to notice it more often than other names (of which you don't think, if you see them you don't notice them). This is the basic law of attraction, you "attract" the name so it will be everywhere. If you stop thinking about it it will disappear.

My thought on existence and creation is that it is all a beautiful thought in the mind of the Sublime Almighty. HE is not some buddy buddy as this persons says,"HE IS LORD OF ALL AND WEMUST BOW DOWN IN AWE AND REVERENCE BEFORE HIM" Peace be upon him

Alan
From the inside of my being I really hope you're wrong.

Hi,
after you realise that you are the one who makes your own reality, you'll lose any fear as you'll know nothing bad can happen to you if you don't let it :-)

Edit- lot of you's in that sentence, lol  :-D

Or even more frustrating, is I'll get a really, really quick glimpse of a memory of something, and then it disappears and I still can't remember it.
YES!!!! I get this often and it's a big mystery to me. Suddenly a feeling comes which feels familiar like a memory or situation from the past (or from a dream maybe), but if I try to recall it a second later, to try to relate it, it won't appear again... Sometimes it comes back in a moment but dissapears just as quickly.
Often it feels like I'm so close to remembering it but I don't make it...

That's clever- have you seen a problem of this general type before?

Yes i had but I forgot the solution. I actually thought this up by myself now (you have a statement processed through two "units", and one of them negates it- it will always arrive negated)

no_leaf_clover: I also got to the 3 balls but didn't know how to find the heavier one... that was clever and simple!

Last problem

A man sentenced  to death is given a choice. He is put in a room with two PC computers, one is programed to only lie, and the other programed to only tell the truth. There are two exit doors , one leading to the death chamber and the other to freedom. He is only allowed to key in "one question" to only "one of the computers" and by this one question, he must establish the door to freedom or face execution.
A question for one computer: "Would the other computer agree that the right door lead to freedom?" If the answer is "no", right door lead to freedom, other wise left door lead to freedom.

"a religion just like the rest and in your case requires FAITH that there is no God out there in the great somewhere to welcome you when you die. You cant prove that there is no  God can you.?
...
I have had a profound near death experience and no longer summise the existence of God "I know God exists" and he is the absolute most anti-religious Being in his creation.

You say that god is "out there somewhere" and you still speak about HIM like HE was some kind of a person. I don't agree with that. I rather thing that "god" is everything and everywhere, INCLUDING you and me.

"God had everything to do with your existence "case closed"."
Yes. YOU had and have everything to do with your existence because you are an expression of "god".

There is no got out there, it is in here.

Well, I'm afraid that someone who has been taught an ideology since he was born, will take it as his truth and will have great difficutly comprehending or accepting other ideas and/or belief systems, unless he chooses to by his own will. I'm afraid words can't change a person here, experience can.

This happens to me often, i just lay there and try to concentrate. Most of the times for an hour nothing happens, so i just go to sleep. At this time I am very exhausted, i think this is from "building up" the energy...  this energy then keeps me awake and prevents me from falling asleep... almost like some kind of insomnia.

So some questions: why does nothing happen for the hour? (I used to drift between sleep and awake but now i am simply awake all the time), what am I doing wrong?
-What to do to prevent the "exhaustion" and how to drain the excessive energy?

Thanks for any ideas.

I've read about the first half page of your post.... then I got lost because I had no idea what are you talking about.
Sorry to ask like this, but what was the point of your post?

#72
k, thanks :-D I'll try to be more "aware"...
#73
What is the best daily awareness which can bring you a greater probability of having an astral experience? To be aware of your surroundings and be focused on the present moment OR to be like dreamy and let your mind wander?

...Our minds only record information at a rate of 25 Hz.
Sorry but I disagree. The information is recorded continually, the 25Hz figure (which is 40ms period) is IMO just the reaction time, or "delay" from senses to perception.

After all, we can hear up to ~16000Hz, so we can "record" impulses as small as 62 microseconds.

However, the other thing is that our senses record just a very small portion of sound or EM waves that exist around us.

So what are people using for software? I'm using Reason. I plan to upgrade to 4.0 once I upgrade to OS 10.5.
I'm using FL Studio and I must say it is the best music production software I ever had (and trust me I've tried quite a few of them). I think it could be a bit hard for the beginners but once you get a "feel" of it, it's really good (as they say the quickest path from brain to music) :-D
